Acts 3

Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

  1. 16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Is anything too hard for God? What man thinks is impossible, is made possible through the hand of God.

  2. 16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

    Greater Faith
Anything is possible with Jesus and The Apostles here showed exactly a great example how faith can get you what you need from Jesus. Have faith as a size of a mustard seed and believe it!
    Hallelujah!
    Thank You Jesus!

  3. Verses 1-5 MSG “One day at three o’clock in the afternoon, Peter and John were on their way into the Temple for prayer meeting. At the same time there was a man crippled from birth being carried up. Every day he was set down at the Temple gate, the one named Beautiful, to beg from those going into the Temple. When he saw Peter and John about to enter the Temple, he asked for a handout. Peter, with John at his side, looked him straight in the eye and said, “Look here.” He looked up, expecting to get something from them.” Someone (“they”) took the step of faith by putting this crippled man every day by the Temple gate. Who were “they”? Some versions call them “friends”, others say “people”; but, most say “they”. Will you be that friend, part of those people or those that will take that step of faith to help others find Jesus? Verse 16 MSG says “So that’s how this miracle happened: we have faith in the name of Jesus, and He is the power that made this man strong—this man who is known to all of you. It is faith in Jesus that has given this man his complete health here today, in front of all of you.” GREATER faith!

  4. 14. But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

    15. And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

There’s one small problem in the plan of killing the Prince of life…He didn’t stay dead! Haha, in your face, devil!

He is also the Prince of peace, and He can bring life and peace to your situation, as well.

  5. Acts 3: 6-7-8 King James Then Peter said, Silver and Gold have I none; But such as I have give I thee , In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
    (7) And He took him by the right hand, and lifted him up; and in immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
    (8) And He leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple ,walking, and leaping and praising God.
We need to ask God to guide our footsteps and full us up with the Power of the Holy Ghost, Everyday.
For laying hands on them for deliverance, healing, joy, love, peace, and there miracle.
More positive, Think and Act positive.
There is nothing that my God can’t Do!
I bless you in the name of Jesus.

  6. The Kingdom of God is Greater
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord

The refreshing is the Holy Ghost. If we stay in his presence we will not be wore out but we will be refreshed continuously. God is awesome

  7. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”
Acts of the Apostles 3:6 NLT

God is not asking us to give anything we do not have or you did not tell us to give. He’s not asking us to raise people from the dead or do any signs or miracles that he has not put inside of us to do. Everything the Lord has called us to do he has prepared us for and will be able to give to those in need.

  8. 19 Repent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotters out, when the time of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
    —-
Ok, so these people saw what happened to cripple man
They witnessed the miracle, and they even got scared
Peter explained how he received his healing and refreshed their memory about Jesus.
And again, Peter talked about what it must had been done
    By repenting..
Wonder how many received his testimony ( the word, good news ) this time.

    God is good.

  9. 16 NLT ““Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes.”

‭Have faith. There is power in the name of JESUS!

  10. Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭3:7-8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

He wasn’t healed gradually, but instantaneously he was leaping and walking and praising God. Notice he was not praising Peter for the miracle, but God was praised .

  11. Acts 3:12 (NLT), “Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd, People of Israel, he said, What is so surprising about this? And why stare at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or godliness?”

Acts 3:16 (NTL), “Through Faith in the name of JESUS, this man was healed – and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in JESUS name has healed him before your very eyes.”

We know that JESUS said in St. Matt. 9:26 that “…with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” BUT he also said in St. Mark 9:23, “… If you canst Believe, All Things Are Possible To Him That Believeth.”
You see the lame man was healed because of FAITH (Believing) in the Powerful Name of JESUS!

If you need healing in your body, mind, spirit, or situation, all you have to do is Believe – have FAITH in JESUS Name, and you will receive that healing.

Thank You JESUS that You are the Healer!!

  12. GREATER
    LIVE AND GIVE JESUS

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

There is no GREATER opportunity to denonstrate the GREATER One that is in us than when we demonstrate to others GREATER is HE that is IN me than he that is in the world.

Observe life today and see who is around that JESUS can be GREATER to. it may be someone who has been sick for years, or someone who has resisted or rejected previous prayer.

We must allow our life of prayer and praise be manifest for others to experience GREATER as we GIVE the JESUS that we LIVE.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iLive
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo
    iBlessYouInTheNameOfTheLordJESUS
iSee a REVIVAL and HARVEST building that is GREATER than anything I have ever seen coming to The POFW.

  13. 8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

This man asked for one thing, but received something greater, and in return He entered the temple praising the Lord.

How many people do we meet each day that ask us something minute, when really they might just be opening the door for us to impart something to them? Let’s change how we see people, and how we interact with them. Today might be their day to respond to what we have to give them spiritually, and they too can enter the temple on Sunday leaping and praising God for their miracle of everlasting life!

  14. 7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

What will you do when you receive your miracle?! All glory to God, this man immediately entered the church and praised God!

  15. 26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

First the Jews, then the Samaritans (half Jews) and then the Gentiles received the Holy Ghost and this truth. And our days are swiftly concluding after which he turns again to the Jews. Harvest and backsliders are coming in and we must be prepared to help them understand the word, help them receive their miracle and to become established in the church.

  16. The Living Bible
    vs-6
But Peter said, we don’t have any money for you! But I’ll give you something else! I command you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.

As Peter and John approach the temple to pray, a beggar cries out for alms. Instead Peter stops and in Jesus name heals him completely. Thus what Peter was saying was, In the power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!
That power did flow. The cripples feet and ankles were strengthened , and the man walked and leaped, living proof of the power of Jesus.

  17. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

We serve a KINGDOM Minded God. When He blesses you, He will use that blessing to then reach someone else!

Don’t be ashamed of what God has done in your life! Let all the people see.

  18. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬ NLT)

We are just like Peter. We have the Bread of Life to feed those around us. We must seize every opportunity that we have to feed them the Truth. If we love Him we will feed His sheep.

    I love the Truth!

After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these? ” “Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him. Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.” “Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said. A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep. (‭John‬ ‭21‬:‭15-17‬ NLT)

  19. The man was open to receive whatever they had for him. I am praying that God puts people in our paths that are ready to receive from us. I believe that the power of the Holy Ghost will be Mighty Works through us to prepare this generation for the last days. Our hope is in Christ alone!

  20. Acts of the Apostles 3:7-8
[7]Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened.
[8]He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.

Jesus is our healer and is worthy of all praise. Thank you Jesus

    There Is Power
    Song by Lincoln Brewster

    Where two or more
    Are gathered in His name
    He is there, oh
    For all who come
Who run to Him in faith
    He is there
    There is power
    In the name of Jesus
    There is power
    Power in His name
    There is power
    In the name of Jesus
    There is power
    Power in His name
    No fear, no lie
    Can stand against us now
    He is here, whoa
    The Word has come
    To silence every doubt
    He is here
    There is power
    In the name of Jesus
    There is power
    Power in His name
    There is power
    In the name of Jesus
    There is power
    Power in His name, whoa
One name, one name can save
    One name, breaks every chain
    One name, always
    One name, Jesus
    One name, one name remains
    One name, we will proclaim
    One name, always
    One name

  21. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER! 12And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. Only my God can do this nobody but him!!

  22. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple.
    ************************
They took the lame man every day to the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful. They believed one day he would receive his miracle. The lame man went every day, believing he would receive his miracle. The day came he received and he praised God. Even though his situation seemed hopeless he never gave up. How long do we pray for something, for someone, salvation, health, finances, a home, a job. Whatever it is that you need, never give up. When you receive; never forget to give praises and thankfulness to God. We don’t know and we can not see what events are taking place to bring about an answer to your prayer. Just keep believing and thanking God everyday, for He knows what you are in need of and how it will take place. I am thankful for my prayers being answered, even though they have not fully come to completion, I know He is taking care of it. Thank you Jesus!

  23. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Peter has no gold, he prayed to Jesus and and Nazareth rise and walk.

  24. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

The man saw them heading into the temple, so his expectation was that he would receive something from them. The world is watching us attend weekly services and develop our personal walk with God. They bring needs to us and talk with us expecting to receive something. We are responsible for staying engaged more with Jesus than everything else around us so that we may have something to give them when we see their need.

The men of God could have easily given them what they expected, “alms,” which would have been a bandaid fix on a deep open womb. Yet their relationship with the master allowed them to walk in wisdom to see their need more for the savior than criticism and lack of finances. He needed healing more than he needed his expectation which was alms.

  25. 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Repenting is the first step to salvation. We must repent to be renewed and cleansed. It is very important for a fresh start to quote away all of our sins. I pray this day that we are repenting and asking God for forgiveness daily!!!

  26. 12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

We are vessels!!! Nothing special with special privileges just a simple vessel, literally!!! There are some that walk around with a big head thinking they had something to do with the healing virtue of GOD, DADDY ALWAYS GETS THE GLORY!!!

  27. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

We have the power in our tongue, to speak and tell the lane to rise. We can only have this power when we start living and walking in righteousness.

  28. I learned that Now Peter and John went up together into the temple for the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain lame men from his mother’s womb is getting carried, they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask of them that entered into the temple;Who talking to Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes on him with John, said, Look at us.And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have none; but such as I have give thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

  29. 12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Peter and John gave credit to Jesus for the miracle. We should always praise and glorify Jesus for all the good things that he does. Without him we are nothing.

  30. 12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

The apostles always gave the glory to God not themselves. They always were obedient and humble. As the Bible said:curse is the man who trust in man. Our faith and full faith needs to be in our God. Give glory the maker and the earth.

  31. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

The knowledge of Jesus is worth more than all the money in the world. Money can buy medicine but not health.

  32. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

Many come to church, hoping to receive, but are too busy on their phone to give heed to the man of God, to hear and receive.

  33. 8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

When we praise the Lord, things begin to happen. God is our rock and savior. We should praise him every chance we get.

  34. Acts 3
God should get the glory, not man. Healing, and miracles happens when you have received the Holy Spirit and have true salvation. Everything IS possible with our Lord Jesus Christ. I give Him praise and thanks for all He has given us.
Thank you Jesus for this day!

  35. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

If we are led by the Spirit we will fix our eyes on those whom God intends to bless.

  36. 14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

  37. “And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:7-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

How many times was this man laid at the temple throughout his life; when all he really needed was a word of faith to spark a fire within to renew his faith in GOD.
My daughter was over last night. She spoke mostly about how tired she is ‘living ‘ in this world how it currently is. Life has really changed for her, she complained and blah, blah, blah. This world has deceived her mind. As a mom all I could do is talk to her for as long as she allowed
    And as for me… I
All your answers to every problem is calling out to Jesus. No matter what!

  38. Acts 3:19 Repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from presence of the Lord.

Sin is exhausting. It kills us from the inside out. We cannot live an abundant life in Christ while still pursuing a life of sin. The beauty about salvation and the grace of our God is that all we have to do is return to him in repentance and our sin will erased.

We will be given grace to walk forward in forgiveness, His blood cleans us.

  39. ‘When God raised up his servant, Jesus, he sent him first to you people of Israel, to bless you by turning each of you back from your sinful ways.”’

    Acts of the Apostles 3:26

    Are we real Christians?
If this was the acts of Jesus are we really Christ like if were not leading people away from the acts of sin then the truth is were not being true Christians. We have to find someone that is hurting someone that is weak and show them there is a savior who loves for His name to be called upon. I’m thankful for the word of God and the challenge from our pastor to read every single day. Im thankful for stumbling across Mill today and being sensitive enough to the Spirit to pray with her and speak the word of God and the word of Faith in her life! If i wasnt challenged everyday to read my bible i wouldnt have been able to witness the way i did so thank you Jesus for his word and thank you Jesus for a pastor that loves us enough to be real christians in a real hurting world
