Acts 7

Then said the high priest, Are these things so?

And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,

And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.

Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.

And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.

And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.

And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,

10 And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

11 Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.

12 But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.

13 And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph’s kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.

14 Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.

15 So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,

16 And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.

17 But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

18 Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.

19 The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.

20 In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father’s house three months:

21 And when he was cast out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.

22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

23 And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

24 And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:

25 For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.

26 And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?

27 But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?

28 Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?

29 Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.

30 And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.

31 When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,

32 Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.

33 Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.

34 I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.

35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.

36 He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,

40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.

42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?

43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.

45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;

46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.

47 But Solomon built him an house.

48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

50 Hath not my hand made all these things?

51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

  1. 51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

Nothing more needed to be said! They had sought to put Stephen on the defensive. But he became the prosecutor and they the guilty defendants. His message was one of God’s final words to the Jewish nation before the gospel started moving out to the Gentiles.

  2. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

    Hallelujah!
Stephen still forgave them for what they did to him.
    Thank You Jesus!

  3. Verse 1 MSG “Then the Chief Priest said, “What do you have to say for yourself?” So what will your testimony sound like?? What will be the tremendous story of how your entire family and generation came to know the Lord?? The Chief Priest probably regretted asking Stephen what do you have to say for yourself after his response!

1 Peter 3:13-18 MSG “If with heart and soul you’re doing good, do you think you can be stopped? Even if you suffer for it, you’re still better off. Don’t give the opposition a second thought. Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master. Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you’re living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy. Keep a clear conscience before God so that when people throw mud at you, none of it will stick. They’ll end up realizing that they’re the ones who need a bath. It’s better to suffer for doing good, if that’s what God wants, than to be punished for doing bad. That’s what Christ did definitively: suffered because of others’ sins, the Righteous One for the unrighteous ones. He went through it all—was put to death and then made alive—to bring us to God.” Be ready to testify and share your GREATER testimony!

  4. 59. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

    60. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Two sides of history: a story of forgiveness.
History records both sides of this story. On one side, they are stoning a man while he prays for their forgiveness. The other side is the man being stoned by the very men he is praying forgiveness for.
It’s easy to say which side I would be on, but would I?
Lord, I pray that I don’t go down on the wrong side of history! Forgive those that have wronged me and lay not that sin to their charge.

  5. Acts 7: 48-49 Howbelt the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith in prophet.
    (49) Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool; what house will ye build me? saith the Lord, or what is the place of my rest?
God is a spirit, we are the temple , he dwells inside of us ,for those who love him.
1 Cor. 16 Know ye, not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
    More Jesus!!!!!!!

  6. The Jewish leaders were infuriated by Stephen’s accusation, and they shook their fists at him in rage. But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed steadily into heaven and saw the glory of God, and he saw Jesus standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand. And he told them, “Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand!” Then they put their hands over their ears and began shouting. They rushed at him and dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. His accusers took off their coats and laid them at the feet of a young man named Saul. As they stoned him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” He fell to his knees, shouting, “Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!” And with that, he died.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭7:54-60‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God does not call all of us to be martyrs, but He does call us to be “living sacrifices” .

  7. 54 When they heard these things
They were cut to the heart, and they
Gnashed on him with their teeth.
55 but he being full of the Holy Ghost……
    ——
    Just a reminder to me.
👉🏼 Make sure that when you open your mouth
You are in the Holy Ghost
And that you are not just venting.
Yes, they were mad but Stephen had to say everything that he said.
Nothing was missed, nothing was added.
It was the Holy Ghost doing it.
    Hallelujah 🙌

  8. This was Stephen’s reply: “Brothers and fathers, listen to me. Our glorious God appeared to our ancestor Abraham in Mesopotamia before he settled in Haran.
Acts of the Apostles 7:2 NLT

Steven was brought in to help with the other services of the church so that way the apostles could study but without a theology degree and without any type of preaching history immediately goes into witnessing and knows the history of his people. Israelites were taught early on, if it was passed down from generation to generation, their history of Abraham all the way to Moses to the times of the judges and the Kings. It was embedded into them to know where they came from and to know who their God was. Our children need to be continuously taught of the things that God has done before us and the promises that he is doing after

  9. 48-50 NLT “However, the Most High doesn’t live in temples made by human hands. As the prophet says, ‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that?’ asks the Lord. ‘Could you build me such a resting place? Didn’t my hands make both heaven and earth?’”

GOD’s presence can not be confined to anywhere that was made with hands. It is impossible for humans to build a place to contain GOD.
Acts‬ ‭17:24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬““God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.”
    ‭‭

  10. “But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed steadily into heaven and saw the glory of God, and he saw Jesus standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭7:55‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We are each faced with oppositions, and unfortunate circumstances. However, with relationship with Jesus we can learn to look to Him during those times. Allow His light to shine upon your surroundings.

  11. Acts of the Apostles 7:20
“At that time Moses was born—a beautiful child in God’s eyes. His parents cared for him at home for three months.

We are all precious. God loves us. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. God is a good father. Thank you God for your love that never fails.

  12. Acts 7:51-54 & 57-60 (AMP)
    51) You stiff-necked and stubborn people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you are always actively resisting the Holy Spirit. You are doing just as your fathers did.
    52) Which one of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? They killed those who proclaimed beforehand the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murders you have now become;
    53) You who received the law as ordained and delivered to you by angels, and yet you did not obey it!
    54) Now when they heard this (accusation and understood its implication), they were cut to the heart, and they began grinding their teeth (in rage) at him.

    57) But they shouted with loud voices, and covered their ears and together rushed at him (considering him guilty of blasphemy).
    58) Then they drove him out of the city and began stoning him; and the witnesses placed their outer robes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
    59) They continued stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, Lord JESUS, receive and accept and welcome my spirit!
    60) Then falling on his knees (in worship), he cried out loudly, Lord, not not hold this sin against them (do not charge them)! When he had said this, he fell asleep (in death).

“They Were Cut To The Heart”
Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing of sunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Stephen was speaking the Word to them, a stiff-necked – stubborn – disobedient – sinful people, and because the Word of God Cuts, it exposed these people to who they truly were. And instead of them “gladly” receiving it to change their ways and lives, they got angry and killed the messenger.

This same thing still happens today. When the Pastor or another Minister is speaking the Word of God, it will always Cut and Expose things in our hearts. The question is, “How will I/you respond to it?” We we get angry and want to kill (spiritually) the messenger, or will we allow it to do a work in us that will cause us to Repent and change our way of living?

LORD, Your Word may hurt sometimes, BUT I Pray I will always let Your Word Cut and Expose things in my life that I need to Repent of and change my ways, so that I can live for you Faithfully and Wholeheartly!

  13. The Kingdom of God is GREATER
Acts 7:22 Moses was taught all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was powerful in both speech and action.

Wait a minute…I thought Moses was a stutterer…Wasn’t it Moses that told God in the wilderness that he was unable to lead. Exodus 4:10 ‘Then Moses said to the Lord , “Please, Lord, I am not a man of words (eloquent, fluent), neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and tongue.” ‘

Muslims are notorious for taking scriptures like these and making them appear to contradict themselves, but as Apostolics we should be able to explain what’s going on here.

  14. GREATER
    POWER TO TESTIFY

55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

Stephen our example of FAITH and demonstration of WITNESS before JESUS couragously declares The Kingdom of GOD and the Power of JESUS to all. Facing, judgement, persecution and death, the disciple of JESUS filled with the Holy Ghost demonstrates the POWER of JESUS working in him.

Stepohen was FULL of the HOLY GHOST, not touched by, not felt, not sensed, not stirred, but FULL of the Holy Ghost. JESUS promised:

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Stephen spoke the WORD of GOD with boldness and power:

    1. He knew the WORD of GOD.
    2. He was FULL of the Holy Ghost.

JESUS lead us to KNOW you through your WORD and SPIRIT that we may also possess the POWER TO TESTIFY.

We learn from Stephen that it is impossible to complain and TESTIFY at the same time. Choose to testify as complaining will not change the situation, but to TESTIFY will bring us to the Glory of GOD.

  15. The plan of God started way before the day of Pentecost. The plans for our lives may look like they are on detour or even evaporated into thin air. However, we must keep the faith, build on the things that the Lord has already done, and allow those things to build our faith to believe that any minute a change could come. Trees don’t grow over night, cities aren’t built in a day and the plan and purpose of God is a process. We must be willing to endure the process to receive the promise!

  16. The Living Bible
    Summary
There Stephen makes an inspired defense , drawing on sacred history to demonstrate the persistent rejection by God’s people of the agents of salvation sent by Him. Then Stephen applies his history lesson. Israel’s resistance has culminated in the council’s murder of God’s Righteous One,the Messiah.
When Stephen claims to see Jesus at God’s right hand, the place of power, the council members lose control. Stephen is hurried out into the streets and stoned to death.

  17. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER! We are reminded again …… no matter what praise God to the highest!! No matter what people do to you or say to you praise God!!

  18. ‘to whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt, And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. Acts 7:39,41,43,51

I wanna talk about for a few moments
    “you are what you eat”
“you are what you listen to”
“what comes in must come out”
“out of the mouth the abundance of the heart SPEAKS”
God called them stiff NECKED because they literally became like the idols they were worshipping. You take enough junk in I can guarantee you that you will start acting like what you listen to. You will start acting like what you’re watching, You will start talking like the music you hear. You will literally become like the idols you have started worshipping. I know this text originated for Moses when the people were delivered out of Egypt but IT MUSTVE BEEN IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO PREACH AGAIN IN ACTS. Why not preach it today! The forever ongoing battle until death is the battle of the flesh We gotta die daily, we gotta take up our cross carry to the mount and and sacrifice our flesh so that the will of the FATHER can be done in our lives not tomorrow not next week but RIGHT NOW!

I could go on and on but id be here all day typing. Ill say it one more time
    YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

  19. Are these things so?

in the coming days people will be hearing of miracles and Healings and greater things! they will ask us “are these things so?” is it so that God has healed the blind in your church, is it so that God has given deliverance over drugs and depressions, is it so! The house will be full every Sunday and Wednesday.. full of high expectation and people trying to see if “are these things so”

  20. 52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

Instead of hearing and examining his words, they acted on offense and killed the messenger. And Stephen instead of reacting to their actions, he forgave. Take time to hear and respond, rather than react.

  21. 46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.

God doesn’t dwell in temples that man has made however he wants to dwell in human hearts through the Holy Spirit.

  22. 49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

And through the Holy Ghost this same God comes and dwells within us. He desires a holy temple amd we are to keep ourselves as such.

  23. 5 And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.
6 And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.
7 And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

The PROCESS!!! A very long process!!! For Abraham to have accepted this……knowing that his seed would suffer…..nowadays people look at any kind of discipline to their children as a very bad thing and he knowingly knew that his would suffer for generations…..makes you think that some people may or may not have made idols of their seed………

  24. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

  25. “He fell to his knees, shouting, “Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!” And with that, he died.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭7:60‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What a prayer before he passed.

Just last week on Wednesday night as Bro. Wade was preaching I didn’t realize how much was hidden in the depth of my heart. A wounded spirit I had. As he was preaching my heart began to flutter as the words that I was hearing began to do surgery within. Jesus was doing a mighty work in me, and he completed it. He did a miracle on me. I let it all go, I let the people go, the pain, the Un forgiveness. It literally was rooted out of me. I am free!!!!!!! Hallelujah 🙌🙏♥️

    This is L♥️VE

“Continue to love each other very much. That is more important than anything else. If you love people, you will forgive them for any wrong things that they have done.”
    ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭EASY‬‬

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭13:35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Actions speak louder than words.

  26. Here we hear the remembrance of events that brought the Israelites to where they were. What they went through, how they followed Moses, how they rejected God, how they were in bondage, how they were freed. How God forgave them. They didn’t like hearing of their failures and their sins. They wanted to hurt the one who was telling them the truth, didn’t want to hear it. I think we are the same today. We can look back at the sins we committed, make excuses for them, lie to ourselves and others about them, but the fact is that we all had sin in our life and it took Jesus to free us and cleanse us. We all have a testimony to share. In the end they killed Stephen thinking that would solve it, but Stephen prayed for them. I think that had to touch someone, that had to change a heart. God forgive them for they know not what they do. Said Jesus. Are we any better that we can’t forgive. Forgive those that wrong you and see what God will do. Amen

  27. 30 And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.

Even when we have been chosen by God to lead, we need a time of preparation. We all must be willing to be molded into a proper servant of the Lord.

  28. Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;

  29. Greater
    Witnessing Unto Christ

His preaching cut them to the heart, and “ they gnashed on him with their teeth “

This kind of preaching and witnessing caused disputing and stirred the people and false witnesses who would testify against him ( Do you still want to be used mightily of God ? )
When questioned, Stephen answered by preaching to them . He never backed down, and he continued to speak with FAITH AND BOLDNESS.
May we continue to witness for the Lord with Faith and boldness .

  30. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

Stephen was zealous to defend the truth. He was bold and fearless. If he had used more diplomacy maybe he would not have been stoned. He did not compromise. Saul was there holding the coats of the murderers. I am sure this made a great impact on him. He mentioned it in his writings later on after his conversion.

  31. I learned that the high priest said , Are these things so? And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers; The God of glory has appeared in our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran, And said unto him, Get thee out of this country, and from our kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.

  32. 34 I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.

35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.

God sees all and hears all. God is ready to answer some prayers.
The Bible said he heard the cries of his people and sent Moses to deliver them. Who is God wanting to send to reach for someone or even help them get out of a situation.

  33. And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

8 And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.

9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,

  34. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

We have to except His glory and follow His path. He is above and over all so we need to learn how to follow in His path. I pray tonight that we all follow His word and follow accordingly to what He has given us!!

  35. 35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.

When the Lord appeared to Mosses, His life changed and the Lord put him like a leader and governor of His people.
Now with a heart for God and with sincere love for his people., he could be a good leader. He always interceded for his people when the Lord was about to kill the Israel nation. The heart of a true Christian leader is about God and people too. The Lord commended to love God first and your neighbor.

  36. ““These patriarchs were jealous of their brother Joseph, and they sold him to be a slave in Egypt. But God was with him”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭7:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

No matter how much you face in life, how many friendships/relationships you lose, anything you have to know that God is true and he will always be there with you even when you leave him he will never leave you. God is always going to be right next to you guiding and loving you.

  37. Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;

This thought came to my mind; it may just be that when God saw that man had a desire to build him a house that the Lord in his greater view said I will give man something even more special. I will make my dwelling place his body, a temple for the Spirit of God. There I will abide. We are made in his image and in his likeness thus it should be our inate desire to have relationship with the one greater than us, the one that created us, our Lord and Savior.

  38. 22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

Just the opposite of what Moses tells God as a reason as to why he cannot be used….

  39. 51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Our refusal to hear what the Spirit is saying, is pride…

  40. 9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,

It’s a beautiful thing to have God with you. The enemy can’t touch you as long as God is with us. We can strength and direction. I will forever praise him.

  41. 40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.

A lot of times our flesh likes to take credit for what God has done for us but in reality, it was all God we have to give God the glory no matter how big or how little the blessing may be.

  42. 17 But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

When you promise gets close things start happening. When you are about to get your miracle, good multiplies. Just as it states above, that “. . .when the time of the promise drew nigh, . . . the people grew and multiplied in Egypt, . . .” You will start to feel your breakthrough when God starts to put all the pieces into place.

  43. 54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

  44. 51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Some will not accept the Truth, no matter how much we show them or try to teach them. They’re so set for things to be the way they have it in their minds that they will blindly look past the truth to continue believing their lies. So we knock the dust from our feet and move to the next one. Prayers that God will lead us to those that are open and ready to receive the Truth of God’s Word❤️
