Acts 14

And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,

They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:

And there they preached the gospel.

And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:

The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

12 And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.

13 Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.

14 Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,

15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.

17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

18 And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.

19 And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

20 Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

23 And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

24 And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.

25 And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:

26 And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.

27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

28 And there they abode long time with the disciples.

  1. Acts of the Apostles 14:9
and listening as Paul preached. Looking straight at him, Paul realized he had faith to be healed.

faith of a mustard seed. simple faith. God is good all the time. Keep the faith.

    Mark 5:34
And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”

    James 5:15
Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.

    Matthew 15:28
“Dear woman,” Jesus said to her, “your faith is great. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed.

  2. Verse 27
What a joyful time it must have been to be at the first national convention when they gathered the church at Antioch together to hear an account of the missionary labors of these two great men of God preaching. With becoming Christian modesty they reported all that God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles. It was not what they had done for God, but what He had been pleased to accomplish through them.

  3. 17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

Even without the scriptures we all have a wittness of God by creation its self. The Lord loves both the Jew and Gentile in that He is no respecter of persons.

  4. 9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

    Hallelujah!
We all have different Faith levels but when come together church that’s when we raise the Faith to a higher level to see many more miracles happen In Jesus Name.
    Thank You Jesus!

  5. Verses 19-20 MSG “Then some Jews from Antioch and Iconium caught up with them and turned the fickle crowd against them. They beat Paul unconscious, dragged him outside the town and left him for dead. But as the disciples gathered around him, he came to and got up. He went back into town and the next day left with Barnabas for Derbe.” We cannot afford to be fickle or so easily incited/persuaded/won over and turned to be against what is right. This crowd went from celebrating Paul as a god to beating him for dead. Our loyalties/commitments and obedience should be steadfast. Psalm 112:1-10 VOICE says “Praise the Eternal! How blessed are those who revere the Eternal, who turn from evil and take great pleasure in His commandments. Their children will be a powerful force upon the earth; this generation that does what is right in God’s eyes will be blessed. His house will be stocked with wealth and riches, and His love for justice will endure for all time. When life is dark, a light will shine for those who live rightly—those who are merciful, compassionate, and strive for justice. Good comes to all who are gracious and share freely; they conduct their affairs with sound judgment. Nothing will ever rattle them; the just will always be remembered. They will not be afraid when the news is bad because they have resolved to trust in the Eternal. Their hearts are confident, and they are fearless, for they expect to see their enemies defeated. They give freely to the poor; their righteousness endures for all time;[b] their strength and power is established in honor. The wicked will be infuriated when they see the good man honored! They will clench their teeth and dissolve to nothing; and when they go, their wicked desires will follow.” Be GREATER!

  6. 18. And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.

    19. And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

Don’t depend on public opinion – it changes quickly and drastically. In one moment, they went from sacrificing to Paul to stoning him. Instead, trust in truth and the Word of God; it has never and will never change!

  7. Acts 15: 27 And when they were come and had gathered the children together they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
The enemy cannot prevail against the church.
But we can rehearsed what God has done for us,and how he did it, through faith.
Philippians 4: 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whosoever things honest, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are of good report ; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Yes be Greater and Rejoice in the Lord.

  8. and listening as Paul preached. Looking straight at him, Paul realized he had faith to be healed. So Paul called to him in a loud voice, “Stand up!” And the man jumped to his feet and started walking.
Acts of the Apostles 14:9‭-‬10 NLT

Faith changes you. It illuminates an energy all around someone. While you may not be able to tell the difference between people who are of God and who are of not from the outside, physically, you can feel something different just in their presence. As we are walking on this Earth going wherever God is called us to go, let’s eliminate our faith and let other people see it and feel the difference

  9. 27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

28 And there they abode long time with the disciples.

I thank God everyday for bringing the word into the gentiles. So many of us has been saved thanks to it! I am so happy that my God answer prayers it don’t matter where you’re from or what have you done if you pray with Faith, He will answer!!! Paul and Barnabas were just simple humans walking the earth giving their testimony and sharing the Gospel. What better example do you need? Thank you Jesus for saving us and for sending into us Paul and Barnabas??? Are you the next Paul or the Next Barnabas? Start sharing what God has done for you!

  10. ‬‬‬‬ ‭‭Acts‬ ‭14:11, 13-15‬ ‭NKJV “Now when the people saw what Paul had done, they raised their voices, saying in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”
13-15 Then the priest of Zeus, whose temple was in front of their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, intending to sacrifice with the multitudes. But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard this, they tore their clothes and ran in among the multitude, crying out and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men with the same nature as you, and preach to you that you should turn from these useless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them,”
    ‭‭
The people were afraid of Zeus and Hermes because of what happened in the past. So they wanted to make a sacrifice to them so it doesn’t happen again. Paul and Barnabas wanted to be sure they knew they were only human not gods. No sacrifice should be made to humans. Never accept what belongs to GOD.

  11. 14 Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

God sent Barnabas and Paul to warn the people that they should turn from their evil and worldly ways and turn to God.

  12. 20 how beit as the disciples stood round about him
He rose up and came into the city, and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
    —-
This life is a misión , share the gospel , explain , ( if there are questions) praise God If people accept it, move on
    To the next person..
    busy bees.
And the midst always remembering that the Lord is with us.
    In this world
    Ye shall have tribulations
    But take heart
    I have conquered the world.

  13. 21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
23 And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

When you think that you are burned out with God and doing the same thing every day of your life you just want to give up. But that is what the devil wants you to do we must fast and pray and do the work of God. We know in these last days the enemy will fight you. We must pray for God to put hunger in our hearts for the lost. Never never give up!

  14. Acts 14:22 Confirming (strengthening ) the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Romans 817 And if the children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

  15. GREATER
    WE ARE GREATER

19 And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
20 Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

The apostle Paul, a Radically Apostolic believer, is the definition of, an example of, a true Radically Apostolic. Preaching and Teaching the Gospel of JESUS, Then being persecuted for the Ministry of the GOspel.

Beaten and left for dead. The apostle got up and went right back into the city to PREACH IT again.

We witness some defining traits here of a Radically Apostolic Ministry. He didnt get offended and change churches, he didn’t get offended and go off somewhere else to do ministry, he got UP and went right back into the city that just stoned him and left him for dead and preached JESUS to them.

This is how we can identify the Radically Apostolic ministers among us. They dont leave, they dont quit, they dont get offended, they Get UP and SERVE again.

The BRIDEGROOM COMETH! GO ye out to meet HIM!

Lets get UP and GO because WE ARE GREATER POFW!

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iLive
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo
    iBlessYouInTheNameOfTheLordJESUS
iSee a REVIVAL and HARVEST building that is GREATER than anything I have ever seen coming to The POFW.

  16. 22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

When we choose Jesus, the devil will attack through temptations but Paul said fight the good fight of faith. Also as we submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us-the key being to submit to God. And finally we have the armor of God to put on daily! The helmet of salvation, the breastate of righteousness…the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit. I could go on & on, but God is for us in every battle or trial or temptation we face!

  17. 21 And after they had preached the gospel to that city and had made a good number of disciples, they returned to Lystra, to Iconium, and to Antioch, 22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, “It is through many tribulations that we must enter the kingdom of God.

The disciples not only taught and preached, but they also cared for the new believers by strengthening them with encouragement. Who can you strengthen today? Reach out to someone who may be discouraged or lonely and lift up their hands. Let them know you love them and are thinking of them. Encouragement goes far in the life of someone who just needs to know someone cares.

The old saying “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care” is applicable to everyone.

  18. “And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed. And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭14:21-23, 25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As prayer, fasting, teaching, preaching, miracles, signs and wonders, and proclaiming the gospel, our region can be won as we are one. No one here is looking for any glory. But it definitely will take work to reach for every soul.

“And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; And they went out, and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭6:7, 12-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  19. 21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

23 And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

We must all go through things in order for us to grow, we can never stop growing or learning in the Word of God.

  20. 27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

If GOD had not opened the door of faith unto the gentiles………………

Where would I be or would I be at all……. the gratefulness that GOD IS SO SO GOOD, when HE didnt have to open a door , it was a choice that allowed me freedom and salvation…….how could i not serve HIM!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  21. “And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia: and thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled. And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭14:25-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As we all come together to prayer, fasting, teaching, preaching, having miracles, signs, and wonders done. No one here is looking for any glory, but to bring only glory to Jesus Christ. Our region can be won as we become one. It takes work, and it will take us all to work.

  22. 27 “And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.”

We are creatures of habit. We desire to be around the ones we love, and enjoy being around. We should strive to share JESUS during those times. We should share what God is doing and what we are expecting to see!

  23. 21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

It’s not always going to be easy – but continue in faith. You may have to get strategic in where you go and who you approach – but continue in faith. You may get “stoned” – but continue in faith. Fight the good fight and keep your faith!! (2 Timothy 4:7)

  24. 3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

4 But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

Even though signs and wonders were being done by the hands of the Apostles, some did not believe and stirred up trouble. The Apostles continued to preach, and many believed. Paul was stoned but God raised him up and they continued to preach from city to city. Churches were established and elders were ordained in every city. We can’t stop but must press on.

  25. Acts 14:19-22
    19) And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
    20) Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
    21) And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
    22) Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

As I read these verses, the old saying came to mind, “You Can’t Keep A Good Man/Woman Down.” This means if a person is able and determined, they will recover from any difficulties or problems and be successful.
Paul was a Good Man who didn’t let anything Keep Him Down. He Recovered from his Difficulties and Problems, and he went on to be Successful in Preaching the Gospel, Teaching many, Confirming the souls of the disciples, and Exhorting them to continue in the Faith.
WOW!! What an example and encouragement for us to follow as believers.
POFW – You are Good Men/Women of God, and We Can’t Let Difficulties and Problems Keep Us Down. We Must Arise and Keep Going Forward – Keep Preaching the Gospel, Keep Teaching, Keep Confirming the souls of the disciples, and Keep Exhorting them to continue in the Faith.

Remember: Paul said in vs.22, “… we must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God.”
2 Timothy 2:3 says, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a Good Soldier of JESUS CHRIST.”
    Be GREATER!!

  26. The Living bible
    vs-27
Upon arrival they called together the believers and reported on their trip, telling how God had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles too.

Despite the hazards , the missionaries win a large numbers of disciples. Finally they return to their home church and report how God has opened the door of salvation to the Gentiles.

  27. 27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
    ****************
What good does it do a unbeliever if we don’t share our testimony with them. If we as believers just keep what God has done in our lives to ourselves. Jesus has done for me as He has for you to bring us to the point in our lives where we repented and were baptized, where we were born again Christians. Just getting the word poured into ourselves but never pouring out does not help anyone to come to the Lord. When we come together as a church and we proclaim God’s miracles in our lives, that’s great, but our mission is to tell those outside of the church. It takes more than a handout or a bag of cookies, people in need, need Jesus, we must show them Jesus. Jesus took care of the weak, injured, pour and lonely. He showed love to the widows and homeless. I want to be more like Jesus.

  28. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER! 10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked! Taking this to a different level, even a person that can already physically walk need to listen to this command….Stand upright on thy feet and WALK! WALK IN Jesus and leap in Jesus!!

  29. “They preached the good news to that city and made many disciples, then they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch, strengthening and establishing the hearts of the disciples; encouraging them to remain firm in the faith, saying, “It is through many tribulations and hardships that we must enter the kingdom of God.””
    ‭‭ACTS‬ ‭14:21-22‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The follow up after a person has been filled with the Holy Ghost is so important. In this verse it let’s us know that they strengthened and established the new disciples and encouraged them to remain firm in the faith. This is Love In Action!

  30. The Kingdom of Heaven is GREATER

2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

Let’s think about this statement and think about some of the things we do as humans. We understand that these Jews who caused trouble were inspired from the enemy to do so. Today we would try to bind and rebuke these trouble makers… but the enemy already influenced these folk. Once that happened flesh kicked in and it’s hard to rebuke flesh.

  31. Greater
    That One Might Believe

v 2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the breather.

How empty is the life of one who refuses to embrace the message of Jesus Christ!
The devil’s stranglehold on this world is destined for ultimate defeat!
Be stirred to believe Jesus’ mighty works and words
God has spoken from the heavens, and announced that Jesus was the Christ …. The Anointed One

Matthew 3:17 “ This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased “

  32. 2Some of the Jews, however, spurned God’s message and poisoned the minds of the Gentiles against Paul and Barnabas.

We have to be on guard at all times from those who speak against God. The unrighteous will say or do anything to get God out of the public. We must stand strong in our faith.

  33. 7 And there they preached the gospel.

The gospel must be preached. In season and out of season. If we are to declare the word of God, we cannot be afraid to proclaim it. Our God reigns forever.

  34. 26 And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

They celebrated. They celebrated the fact that Jesus was for the gentiles too, and not just the Jew.

  35. 1 And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

Both Greeks and Jews were in a Jewish church, hearing about Jesus. If we tell everyone about Jesus, there will be people of every religion that will convert.

  36. “And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them, they were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭14:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When threats or attacks are made, that doesn’t mean we stop teaching the Gospel. Yes, be wise and know when it is time to leave as the Bible tells us to agree with our adversary quickly – but never allow someone else to hinder what spreading the Good News

  37. “Arriving there, they gathered the church together and began to report [in great detail] everything that God had done with them and how He had opened to the Gentiles a door of faith [in Jesus as the Messiah and Savior].”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭AMP‬‬

There is power on unity. When we come together and speak of the goodness of the lord and what he has done many things can happen. We can not do this on our own. We gain strength not only through Jesus but through one another.

  38. The same thing happened in Iconium. Paul and Barnabas went to the Jewish synagogue and preached with such power that a great number of both Jews and Greeks became believers.

But the apostles stayed there a long time, preaching boldly about the grace of the Lord. And the Lord proved their message was true by giving them power to do miraculous signs and wonders. and listening as Paul preached.

Looking straight at him, Paul realized he had faith to be healed. So Paul called to him in a loud voice, “Stand up!” And the man jumped to his feet and started walking.

After preaching the Good News in Derbe and making many disciples, Paul and Barnabas returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch of Pisidia, where they strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.

Upon arriving in Antioch, they called the church together and reported everything God had done through them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles, too. And they stayed there with the believers for a long time.
    Acts of the Apostles 14:1‭, ‬3‭, ‬9‭-‬10‭, ‬21‭-‬22‭, ‬27‭-‬28 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/act.14.1-28.NLT

The Authority that God had placed on Paul and Barnabas followed them everywhere. It was not just at their “home church”. It was in the streets, preaching points throughout the city, and in other towns they traveled to. They operated where the Spirit of the Lord led them. We’re called to go out into the highways and byways. It says that God proved what they proclaimed was true by answering with miracles, signs, and wonders. No matter where we go the same can happen too!

  39. 17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

The Lord fills our hearts in our pleasing deeds to Him. Continue to seek after Him and do good for His kingdom and His cause.

  40. “Then some Jews arrived from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowds to their side. They stoned Paul and dragged him out of town, thinking he was dead.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭14:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The people of Lystra were so eager to believe in something greater than they were that easily listened to whatever tickled their ear. They saw things greater than ever seen before but did not understand what they were seeing or hearing. Which is why they were so easy to turn against the two very men they believed to be Greek gods not even two min before the arrival of the Jews that ticketed their ears once more.

It’s not enough to just take the word that we hear over the pulpit and believe it’s true never really studying the word to place roots down into the Word of God. We must truly believe God’s Word and know it for ourselves so when somebody or something shiny comes along we are not quick to jump the boat and piggy back on the latest fads that would cause us to go against what we know to ge truth.

  41. 7 And there they preached the gospel.

8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:

9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

  42. And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:

9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

Faith comes by hearing. What are you feeding your soul through the gates of your ears? Who has your ear? Whoever hast it will have your faith.

  44. “They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about: And there they preached the gospel.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭14:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬
