Galatians 2

Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.

And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:

And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man’s person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:

But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;

(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

10 Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.

11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.

13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.

14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

  1. 21 The grace of God is seen in His unconditional gift of salvation. when man tries to earn it, he is making it void. It is no longer by grace if man deserves it or earns it. Paul’s final thrust at Peter is effective. If Peter could obtain favor with God by Jewish observances, then Christ died for nothing He literally threw His life away. Christ died because man could obtain righteousness in no other way not even by law-keeping.

  2. 17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

There is saving faith. However we must endure to the end a righteous living that is a direct representation of our faith.

  3. The Kingdom of Heaven is GREATER
For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles

This is a great verse to show that some folk are more fruitful in areas that the others are not. We humans are not all the same and God himself has called us to do certain things. We just need to get in where we fit in

  4. 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

We must pick up our cross and continue in faith to follow and seek Jesus in all we do.
    Hallelujah!
    Thank You Jesus!

  5. Verse 20 ERV “So I am not the one living now—it is Christ living in me. I still live in my body, but I live by faith in[c] the Son of God. He is the one who loved me and gave himself to save me.” Same verse NLT “My old self has been crucified with Christ.[e] It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Hebrews 4:2 ERV “Yes, the good news about it was told to us just as it was to them. But the message they heard did not help them. They heard it but did not accept it with faith.”
Romans 1:17 ERV “The Good News shows how God makes people right with himself. God’s way of making people right begins and ends with faith. As the Scriptures say, “The one who is right with God by faith will live forever.”[a] Hebrews 10:38 VOICE “But My righteous one must live by faith, for if he gives up his commitment, My soul will have no pleasure in him.[a]” GREATER faith!

  6. Galatians 2:20
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Thank you Jesus for mercy and grace.

    Redeemed
Seems like all I can see was the struggle
Haunted by ghosts that lived in my past
Bound up in shackles of all my failures
Wondering how long is this gonna last
Then you look at this prisoner and say to me
“son stop fighting a fight that’s already been won”

I am redeemed. you set me free
So I’ll shake off these heavy chains
    Wipe away every stain
Cause I’m not who I used to be
    I am redeemed I’m redeemed

All my life I have been called unworthy
Named by the voice of my shame and regret
But when I hear you whisper “child lift up your head” I remember oh God you’re not done with me yet

Because I don’t have to be the old man inside of me cause his day is long dead and gone because I’ve got a new name , a new life I’m not the same And a hope that will carry me home

I am redeemed you set me free
So I’ll shake off these heavy chains and
    And wipe away every stain
Now I’m not who I used to be
Oh God I’m not who I used to be
Jesus I’m not who I used to be

    Cause I am redeemed
    Thank God redeemed

  7. For when I tried to keep the law, it condemned me. So I died to the law—I stopped trying to meet all its requirements—so that I might live for God.
    Galatians 2:19 NLT

The law had one practice, and that was to bring them to Christ. That’s why Jesus told people that he did not come to abolish it but to fulfill it. While we do not necessarily follow the levitican law, there are a lot of church bylaws that we seem to have put up as a barrier between us and the world. There’s nothing wrong with that, except that Holiness lies within the faithfulness and obedience to Christ through these things but not in them specifically. The Church must understand that it is not the rules that we follow and keep but rather a heart that keeps us in line with him. Just because someone does not follow our church guidelines or know all of the unwritten rules does that make them less than us.

  8. 20. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. NLT

The old sinful me has to die if I want Jesus to live in me; He is holy and will not abide where sin is.

  9. Galatians 2: 16-17 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believe in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified.
    17) But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
Psalms 143: 2 And enter not into judgement with thy servant; for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
Paul disputed with Peter and others and he strongly declared that justification was by faith without law.
For I am victorious by the Blood of Jesus.
Give him all the Praise and Glory.

  10. Galatians 2:4-5 (NLT)
    4) Even that question came up only because of some so-called believers there – false ones, really – who were secretly brought in. They sneaked in to spy on us and take away the freedom we have in CHRIST JESUS. They wanted to enslave us and force us to follow their Jewish regulations.
    5) But we refused to give in to them for a single moment. We wanted to preserve the Truth of the Gospel Message for you.

Be careful of “so called believers – false ones – false teachers,” who want to come in and take away our Freedom in JESUS. Who want to enslave us again into false doctrine. We need to refuse (turn down, reject) them and not yield or give them a single moment of our time. We must FIGHT to Preserve (PROTECT, KEEP SAFE, KEEP ALIVE) the TRUTH Of This GOSPEL MESSAGE for ourselves, for this generation, and for the generations to come.

    Be GREATER
KEEP THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL MESSAGE ALIVE and FIGHT FOR IT!!

  11. “When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile believers, who were not circumcised. But afterward, when some friends of James came, Peter wouldn’t eat with the Gentiles anymore. He was afraid of criticism from these people who insisted on the necessity of circumcision.”
    ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://bible.com/bible/116/gal.2.12.NLT

We can not act like one Christian around certain people and another Christian around another group. God specifically told us to either be HOT OR COLD never LUKEWARM.

I know hypocrisy is attacking Christians everyday, because In the world we live in your image is a lot of what we pay attention to. This doesn’t exempt those in the church who want to act one way around friends and family and one way around the church we need to be consistent leaders and followers of Christ. Jesus intended for us to be steadfast and unshaken.

  12. 14 but when I saw that they walk not upright according to the gospel I said unto Peter before them all of thou being a Jew liver after the manner of the gentiles and not as do the Jews why compelled thou the gentiles to live as the Jews?
    —-
I learn ( they) learn, I tell you a lot, you let me know a lot By your actions, with your example , with my example
    Than your words( my words).
our actions tell a lot. Yet, he who knows to do right
And not do it, to him is sin. Says the Lord.

  13. Instead, they saw that God had given me the responsibility of preaching the gospel to the Gentiles, just as he had given Peter the responsibility of preaching to the Jews. For the same God who worked through Peter as the apostle to the Jews also worked through me as the apostle to the Gentiles. In fact, James, Peter, and John, who were known as pillars of the church, recognized the gift God had given me, and they accepted Barnabas and me as their co-workers. They encouraged us to keep preaching to the Gentiles, while they continued their work with the Jews. Their only suggestion was that we keep on helping the poor, which I have always been eager to do.”
    ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:7-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Compromise is an important element in getting along with others but we should never compromise the truth of God’s Word.

  14. 20 NLT “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

I must die to sin daily so CHRIST can live within me.
Galatians‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭NKJV “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”

  15. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER! 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loves me, and gave himself for me. Thank you Jesus. I am forever thankful to my God!

  16. 15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

Thank you Jesus for taking my place on the cross for forgiveness of sins. I now can come before your throne boldly before your throne.

  17. The Living bible
    vs-18
Rather we are sinners if we start rebuilding the old system I have been destroying of trying to be saved by keeping the Jewish laws.

    Justified
This judicial term means to be declared righteous, or innocent. It refers to God’s pronouncement,as Judge of the universe, that the person who believes in Jesus is righteous in His sight. God works through the Holy Spirit to make those who believe righteous men and women.

  18. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
    Galatians 2:20 NLT

Crucified with Christ. Everyday we must crucify this flesh and let Christ live within us. Let His glory and His goodness be evident in all that we do!

  19. Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

I too am crucified with Christ. I live for him and love him.

  20. ‘I went there because God revealed to me that I should go. While I was there I met privately with those considered to be leaders of the church and shared with them the message I had been preaching to the Gentiles. I wanted to make sure that we were in agreement, for fear that all my efforts had been wasted and I was running the race for nothing. ‘

    Galatians 2:2
Its cool to see that even in these days they met with the leaders to see if they were in the Holy ghost. I’m proud to be a part of an apostolic church that believes in unity and follows the ways of the apostles all the way back to the roots. Think about it somewhere along the way you are extended to the testimony from the day of Pentecost. Your great great grandmas first husbands best friend had an uncle that knew someone who was there on the day of Pentecost. Sounds goofy but that’s how it goes, Gods got something for each of us to share.

  21. 4 “Even that question came up only because of some so-called believers there—false ones, really—who were secretly brought in. They sneaked in to spy on us and take away the freedom we have in Christ Jesus. They wanted to enslave us and force us to follow their Jewish regulations.”

Whats REAL will always stand out, and what’s FAKE will always smell.

We can deceive ourselves into believing we have everyone fooled. However, the Spirit will always know the real from the fake.

Allow God to work in and through you, so that you can constantly be REALly living Jesus.

  22. 11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.

It seems that Peter and some of the Jews succumbed to peer pressure. The old prejudice came back that said that a Jew should not associate with a Gentile. Peter had forgotten about the vision that God had given him about going to the Gentiles. There is no place in God’s kingdom for prejudice.

  23. 21 Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule-keeping, peer-pleasing religion would be an abandonment of everything personal and free in my relationship with God? I refuse to do that, to repudiate God’s grace. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily.

Jesus doesn’t want us to serve Him out of duty or rule keeping, He wants us to serve Him from our heart – build relationship. Otherwise, He died for naught. All of this came about because He wanted relationship with His creation and although He gave us freedom of choice, He desires for us to choose Him, first and always.

  24. GREATER
    REALATIONSHIP

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Living a set a “rules” to be a Christian is not righteousness. However, developing a RELATIONSHIP with JESUS and abstaining from certain lifestyle habits is living righteousness as a Christian believer.

The apostle Paul testifies of rebuking the apostle Peter for the half hearted, commitment of living one way in front of the “Leadership” and another way in front of the sinners.

    MSG
14 But when I saw that they were not maintaining a steady, straight course according to the Message, I spoke up to Peter in front of them all:

We as Apostolic Christians choose to abstain from certain activities, attire and attitudes. This is not what Paul addressed with Peter. Paul rebuked Peter for not living the “lifestyle” of a Leader at all times. We believe and Teach that a Leader LEADS at all times. At home, at work, at church, on vacation, at family reunion and holiday gatherings.

Peter had confused other believers and led them astray by his 2 faced, hypocritical lifestyle of professing a Leader in front of the church folks, but fellowshippin and acting like the sinner folk when the church folk were not around. This result of broken RELATIONSHIP with JESUS.

JESUS help me to be the Christian Leader that LEADS at all times, the same way. Not from fear of what others will think, but from a pure heart, clean hands and a clear conscience. Radically Apostolic Prayer of Agreement, Righteousness, Fervency, Consistency and Prophetic words will strengthen my RELATIONSHIP with you in JESUS Name.

  25. 5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
    **********************
    1-Thessalonians-5:17
    May you pray without ceasing,
    remembering that Jesus not only
thanked His Father for daily bread,
but He also spent His darkest night
praying and looking to Him alone.
Prayer should always be in our heart and mind whatever we are doing, rather we are going through hard times or good. Just a whisper, Lord show me the way, give me wisdom to handle this, direct my steps today. Thanking and praising Him for guidance. Lord, thank you for all you do for me each and every day.
    1-Thessalonian 18-20
18: In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Praise Him in everything.
19: Quench not the Spirit. Keep the Spirit alive in you by daily prayer and reading the word.
20: Despise not prophesying. Prophesy over your family, finances, friends, home, anything that concerns you give it to the Lord.
I am so thankful for the living Spirit of the Lord living inside of me.

  26. 11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.

It seems that Peter had approved -with the other Jewish Christians- that the Gentiles didn’t need to be circumcised and be bound by the law of Moses, but now was afraid to sit with them and eat together for fear of what the ‘others’ might say. So Paul withstood him, confronted him, to his face. Paul says some had slipped into the church changing their original decisions about the Gentiles, declaring they must live as zealous Jews and born again Christians too. These men were false teachers and threatened their liberty in Jesus. Pastor teaches us constantly to ask “where is that found in the Bible?” Stick to the word of God and He will lead us and guide us. The word and this truth is declared in the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses.

  27. 11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

We cannot be hypocrites, we cannot portray to be Apostolic if we do not read the word of God and pray without ceasing. We have to live right, walk right, and talk right.

  28. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
    ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Holy Ghost filled believers understand the transformation that GOD begins to do from the time that He fills you with the Holy Ghost.

I am one of them. It doesn’t stop with me. It continues from generation to generation. I see it in my children, in their children and you’ll see it from generation to generation to come.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
    ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  29. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

  30. Galatians 2

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live: yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh. I !ive by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

To have the Holy Spirit has been so amazing. To truly have a relationship with our Lord has changed my life. This is how it should be.
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  31. When I saw that they were not following the truth of the gospel message, I said to Peter in front of all the others, “Since you, a Jew by birth, have discarded the Jewish laws and are living like a Gentile, why are you now trying to make these Gentiles follow the Jewish traditions?
    Galatians 2:14 NLT

We are round always follow the truth and nor seek to be men pleasers. We see how peer pressure can be so powerful that even a great man of God like Peter can be swayed to act differently. Nonetheless, we also see how we can stand up for the truth no matter what and without being concerned who may not like it. The truth will never stop being the truth.

  32. 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

When we are filled with the Holy Ghost, we are not our own, but we are vessels for Christ. Our strength is in the Lord. He will bring us through every situation and keep us from the things that weigh us down.

  33. But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the was uncircumcision committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; I learned that contrariwise when all of them saw the gospel of uncircumcision unto me the gospel of circumcision was to Peter.

  34. 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

This is talking about how gods work shall not be in vain
And we should not use it in any bad way.

  35. 18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

Years of hard work and labor can be destroyed by sin. Let us not be deceived by the devil to rebuild the very things we destroyed in our lives. Walking with Jesus is not always fun but it is very much worth it. Keep building the Kingdom of God and tear down satans kingdom.

  36. “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
    ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We are living in this world but we are not of this world. Everyday we should be finding ourself reevaluating our walk with Christ. Are we in line with him, are we where we are suppose to be. Our walk with him is not just about checking off the boxes to say we did everything we needed to do to get to heaven but it is about that relationship. We have to make sure we are in line with his word and him.

  37. 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

We should all be one under His name. We should all have the goal point to make it to heaven! I pray tonight that we are seeking His kingdom first in everything that we do in order to be closer to Him!!

  38. Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule-keeping, peer -pleasing religion would be an abandonment of everything personal and free in my relationship with God? I refuse to do that, to repudiate God’s grace. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died necessarily.

We must serve Hin with our whole heart, mind and soul

  39. 17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

Don’t go back on the sins you left behind. Pick yourself up and turn around completely, leaving the past in the past! It’s hard sometimes and sometimes life’s troubles will get us in a compromising situation, but remember that your God is GREATER and you are GREATER than the sun you left behind already!!

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

PS. I loved this scripture/song growing up!

  40. the minister of sin?

We owe our all to God. He conquered death, he’ll and the grace for us. He was crucified for us. There’s nothing He wouldn’t do for us and we give thanks through our praise, prayer, and worship

  42. 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

    2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith not by sight.

We have to live by the faith of Jesus who loved us and gave his life for us. Therefore we have to walk by faith remembering these things instead of walking by sight seeing all the negative we have in this world. Things might look dim if I am walking by sight, but they look great if I am walking by faith.

  43. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.
    Galatians 2:21 NLT

This isn’t about following rules to get to heaven. This is about the relationship and the saving Grace of Jesus Christ!

  44. 19 For through the Law I died to the Law and its demands on me [because salvation is provided through the death and resurrection of Christ], so that I might [from now on] live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. AMP

The life I live is not for myself to please me. It’s to please Him! The one who so graciously died for my sins. I will by faith ADHERING TO, RELYING ON, and COMPLETELY TRUSTING Jesus!

  45. 21I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.

Don’t take God for granted. If you do, then you’ll feel like if you can do whatever you want, go wherever you want, speak whatever you want. You’ll expect God to forgive even though you are willing to sin. Instead be humble and thank God for being gracious.

  46. “For through the Law I died to the Law and its demands on me [because salvation is provided through the death and resurrection of Christ], so that I might [from now on] live to God. I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. I do not ignore or nullify the [gracious gift of the] grace of God [His amazing, unmerited favor], for if righteousness comes through [observing] the Law, then Christ died needlessly. [His suffering and death would have had no purpose whatsoever.]””
    ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:19-21‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The life we now live is the live of Christ. We are no longer under the law of the Old Testament. If we try to live our lives under the Old Testament then we cause Calvary to be in vain. By faith we have been born again of water and spirit.
