Psalm Chapter 41

Pray Today

Acts 5:14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Fort Worth, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Psalm 41

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

10 But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

11 By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

13 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

  1. 13 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

The Lord the covenant-keeping, the God of the universe, is worthy to be worshiped from everlasting to everlasting. If David could add a double Amen to this tribute, and so can we!

  2. 7 All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

It shouldn’t come as any surprise we are going to face different types of trials and tribulations concerning individuals who will speak against us. There will always be haters no matter how Justified or righteous we are. We have nothing to prove to anybody but only to serve the Almighty

Psa 41:9  Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

we understand ultimately this scripture is a prophetic word of David speaking of Jesus being betrayed by Judas, but I think we can all apply it to the ones who betrayed us as well. Forgiveness I reckon is easier than forgetting, but we must try to do both

King David pours out his feeling of despair, yet he remains positive and looks for good, as evidence of God’s love. This life is just a vapor compared to eternity.

  5. 4“O LORD,” I prayed, “have mercy on me. Heal me, for I have sinned against you.”

We all sin daily we know it or not. But we pray and ask God for forgiveness daily. Daily we are forgiven, for our God is merciful.

  6. 9 “Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted, Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.”
    ‭‭

People whom you trust will betray you. And that’s a hard pill to swallow. But, what friend we have in JESUS! He will never forsake you

“For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; Then I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; Then I could hide from him. But it was you, a man my equal, My companion and my acquaintance.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭55‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭

  7. ‭Psalms 41:11-12 NLT‬
[11] I know you are pleased with me, for you have not let my enemies triumph over me. [12] You have preserved my life because I am innocent; you have brought me into your presence forever.

God gives us victory over our enemies and trials. Don’t throw in the towel. God is greater and has greater things than anything we go through. Hallelujah. Praise God. God gets all the glory. God has saved us from things and things we may not know about. Thank you God. Get in the presence of God and trust him when you don’t understand whats going on. God loves us.

  8. Psalms 41 : 9 [ amp] Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted ( relied on and was confident) ,who ate of my bread ,has lifted up his heel against me.

John 13: 18 I am not speaking of and I do not mean all of you. I know whom I have chosen ; but it is that the Scipture may be fulfilled, he who eats [ his ] bread with Me.

This Psalm tells me that David speaking of Judas being betrayed by Judas, this applies to us that people that you trust will betrayed you too.

You just have to forget and forgive them, so that God will forgive you.

O what a friend in Jesus! That will never forsake you.

  9. Verse 12 MSG “You know me inside and out, you hold me together, you never fail to stand me tall in your presence so I can look you in the eye.” We heard about being in His presence from the three young bible college students that came through the other night. We must ReVIVE and ReMEMBER as Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV says “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

    TRUST IN THE LORD

9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

10 But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

People whom we have trusted may betray us, BUT GOD who is faithful will be merciful. When we make mistakes with man (friends) they may forsake us but when we seek our LORD JESUS he will forgive us and strengthen us to be at peace with those that betray us.

The mercies of GOD empower us to not feel or seek the desire to “GET EVEN” with them.

REQUITE – to make PEACE with or a covenant of PEACE

We can forgive or hold a grudge and try to get even. Our MERCIFUL GOD would have us to just be at PEACE with them. This is how we must choose to move forward in ministry and life.

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Choose LIFE, LOVE and REQUITE those that betray us.

  11. 12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

Our integrity says more about us than words could ever say. Who are we when no one is watching? Who are we at home? Who are we at work? Who are around our family members that don’t know Jesus? If our words and our actions don’t match our integrity is in jeopardy.

Jesus called all of us to be His hands and His feet, His eyes, His heart and most importantly walk in His characteristics on a daily basis. If we are not exhibiting forgiveness, love and compassion as He did on the earth, we need a new burden for the lost.

    Matthew 25:35-40

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

We daily see people in need and turn our backs on them, we don’t trust that they will use our money wisely, or that they may be dangerous, we see them as a nuisance or just trashy, people looking for a handout. But we forget that God sees them as souls needing salvation. We are not to judge; we are to love as if they were Jesus himself. It’s hard to do when they are dirty, crude or seems lazy, that’s not for me to determine if they are worthy of forgiveness. My duty is to do what I can, with what God gives me to help others. Thank you, Jesus.

  13. Psalm 41

9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heal against me.

We can always trust God. He does not lie. Most of us have been betrayed by someone in our life’s. People can disappoint us, but God is the same, yesterday, today and forever. When we are close to God and do his will, we can be strong in our integrity. Following Jesus Christ will save us.

Thank you Jesus for this day.

  14. Psalms 41:3-4 (VOICE), “3) When sickness comes, the Eternal is beside them — to comfort them on their sickbeds and restore them to health. 4) And me? I cry out to Him, Heal my soul, O Eternal One, and show mercy because I have sinned against You!”

I’m So Thankful that JESUS is a Healer of the Body and of the Soul!

  15. vs-4

I said, Lord, be metciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

    The prayer for Psalm vs-4

So in my sickness I say to you: Lord, be my kind healer. Heal my body and soul; heal me, God! For I have confessed my sins to you.

I have sickness in my body. after studying vs:41 I came across vs 4 And repeated this prayer to the Lord over and over. Thank you Jesus for giving me prayers from to days Blog. our Lord is great and greatly to be praised.

  16. I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

Thank you Jesus, for your perfect love and mercy!

  17. “Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, Which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.”

    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭41‬:‭9‬ ‭

In a situation like this, will either break you or make you. You’re taken by surprise. Stabbed in the back, dragged around like a rag doll. etc.

It’s a trying of your faith. It’ll make you question GOD and His word. It will show you what you’re truly made of. Instead of running away (because it’s easier) run into His presence, bow at His feet, repent, cry out to Him. And you will see His faithfulness.

Consider Job in all of his troubles, yet, he didn’t curse GOD. He had to find his alone time with GOD through all of the loss and chaos.

Job “Focused on the victory” and “came out of that cave.”

“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.”

    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭46‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“BE STILL, and KNOW that I AM GOD: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
