Judges 5

1Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,

2Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

3Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.

4LORD, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.

5The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.

6In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways.

7The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.

8They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?

9My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the LORD.

10Speak, ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and walk by the way.

11They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates.

12Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

13Then he made him that remaineth have dominion over the nobles among the people: the LORD made me have dominion over the mighty.

14Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.

15And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart.

16Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.

17Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea shore, and abode in his breaches.

18Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death in the high places of the field.

19The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

20They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.

21The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength.

22Then were the horsehoofs broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their mighty ones.

23Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.

24Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

25He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.

26She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer; and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples.

27At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down dead.

28The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots?

29Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself,

30Have they not sped? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?

31So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

  1. iBlog breakfast

This is an amazing passage of scripture and deserves many pages of notes.

    One train of thought is…

    “The Angel of the Lord”

(in case you’re wondering, all these blogs will one day be put together and become sermons)

Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the Lord, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the Lord, to the help of the Lord against the mighty. (Judges 5:23 KJV)

OUR ACTIONS CAUSE THE ANGELS TO EITHER FIGHT FOR US OR AGAINST US

They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera. (Judges 5:20 KJV)

WHO FOUGHT FROM HEAVEN…THE STARS…THE ANGELS.

They chose new gods; then was war in the gates:

Ok check out this thought …

For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. (1 Corinthians 11:10 KJV)

BECAUSE OF THE ANGELS…They chose new gods; then was war in the gates:

The angels in the world today are the same angels that were on earth in this passage of scripture. Spiritual authority in the angelic world is based on obedience and on what they see .

They chose new gods; then was war in the gates:

The people chose new gods…then there was war.

These new gods had customs, holy days, and symbols associated with the worship of them.

Example…the pentagram has always been associated with witchcraft . Demons are attracted to the symbol just as Holy angels are drawn to submissive woman with uncut hair.

Many women cut their glory off because they don’t understand the POWER of the symbol…

MY QUESTION TODAY IS…HOW MANY CHRISTIANS UNKNOWINGLY PARTICIPATE IN
ANCIENT PRATICES AND SYMBOLS THAT CAUSES CONFUSION IN THE SPIRIT WORLD? COULD IT BE AVOIDED, DOES IT REALLY MATTER, and what would we gain by destroying all appearances of evil.

    • Maybe a better title would have been, “The POWER of a Symbol.”

Did you know about this symbol for example:

Dagon was the ancient fish god of the Phillistines. The pope adopted the same symbol of the fish god to appease the pagans…even to the point to where is hat or mitre is shaped like a fish. (GOOGLE “Dagon and the Catholic church).

oh by the way, that lil symbol of a fish you see on cars today…is the same dagon that the Catholics adopted…only they say it is “the fish of men…”

Jesus said he would make us “fishers of men”….not, make our men fish.

      • OMG I had no idea, I have a fishy on the back of my jeep. Now I have to figure out how to get that sucker off lol.

      • The fish symbol
The fish symbol has been used for millennia worldwide as a religious symbol associated with the Pagan great mother goddess. It is the outline of her vulva. The fish symbol was often drawn by overlapping two very thin crescent moons. One represented the crescent shortly before the new moon; the other shortly after, when the moon is just visible. The Moon is the heavenly body that has long been associated with the goddess, just as the sun is a symbol of the god. Below you will see a drawing of the pagan goddess Cybele and notice the fish head of dagon on her head. Cybele was worshipped in Rome and was called the great queen mother goddess. The Basilica of Saint Peter’s, according to some, stands upon the former site of Cybele’s main temple.

  2. 2. Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

    27. At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down dead.

    31. So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

  3. 12 Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

    “lead thy captivity captive”

There’s something about praise and obedience that when coupled together it produces great results. You are able to take captive Those things that once had you bound.

  4. iWork DEFINED

2 Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

Here is a conditional, generational, prophetic blessing on the people of GOD.

“When the people willingly offered themselves” KJV
“The people volunteered with abandon,” MSG
Our soldiers volunteered, ready to follow you. CEV
    the people gladly volunteered. GNT

The words “willingly offered themselves” are the Greek word:
5068. nadab, naw-dab´; to impel; hence, to volunteer (as a soldier), to present spontaneously:—offer freely, be (give, make, offer self) willing(-ly).

When the people chose to give themselves to the work of the LORD, whatever it may be, wherever it may be, however it may be, whenever it may be this defines the attitude of a true servant of God, which is where iWork was birthed.

What happens when the iWork attitude prevails?

“the avenging of Israel” – WE WIN!

The word “avenging” is the Greek word:
    6544. para, paw-rah´;to loosen;

To be FREE! The world, “the devils domain” wants us to think, believe that we are controlled by the Church or Church Leadership because we are asked to serve in certain areas; however, through serving the Kingdom we are literally loosed in the Spirit of GOD to obtain victories from God.

The prophetic blessing is when iWork for God, he avenges me (loosens me) in HIS Kingdom to rule over darkness, evil, and sin.

    Praise YE the LORD!

    iWork

  5. 12.- Awake,awake Deborah:awake,awake utter a song:arise Barak and lead the captivity captive,thou son of Abinoam.
    “AWAKE ALejandra”:
I will praise the LORD at all times
    And his wordship shall continually
    Be in my mouth.
—in the morning, in the noontime
Even when the sun goes down,he is worthy
    To be praise.

—the Lord has done great things…..
And even if doesn’t look alright,in
The eyes of faith:it is all right.

    —God gave,GOd took away, blessed
Be the name of the Lord.

24.-Blessed among all women shall Jael thewife of Heber the Kenite be ,blessed shall she be among women in the tent.
—brave woman, courageous, willing to act whenever is needed, and not hesitate about it,willing to be an instrument for GOD.

  6. 31So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

Destroy thou enemies Oh Lord, but have mercy on the chosen. And give us rest.

  7. 30Have they not sped? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?
31So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

No amount of might and power will ever compare to the strength of God.

  8. iEat the Word for Lunch

“Arise and Shine, I’m Going to Work”

The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel. (Judges 5:7 KJV)

    Ceased חָדַל chadal
    Verb khaw-dal’
    a primitive root
a primitive root; properly, to be flabby, i.e. (by implication) desist; (figuratively) be lacking or idle:–cease, end, fall, forbear, forsake, leave (off), let alone, rest, be unoccupied, want.
to stop, cease, desist, forego, cease to be, leave undone, forbear
    (Qal)
to cease, come to an end
    to cease, leave off

Deborah was declairing that all the people were slack, lazy, spiritually asleep until she finally got up to proclaim the victory.

There is much more to say on this matter, (maybe for iEat the Word for Supper), but wanted to close out lunch break with this…

WE NEED MORE Deborah’s IN THE CHURCH. If you see everyone is sleep walking in the prayer room…Get up and prophesy. During praise and worship If the congregation is half dead…SING oh ye Deborah.

GOD WANTS TO USE YOU Deborah. Bee used of GOD.

  9. Much can be said here, like what a way to move mountains “Wow”. Another, example of the importance of song/praise, and who says their’s no room for females in Ministry. Jael went above and beyond the giving, “Sacrificial Offering”. So, much God took notice of her sacrificial giving and include it his Holy Word, and blessed her tremendously. Vs. 19 sure seems like the cruscifiction doesn’t it? Just an additional observation, but none the less she was used mightily.

5The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.

12Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

    “Be Church”….ipray……

  10. 23Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.

Meroz is only mentioned once in scripture and while Deborah praises the tribes of Israel that came from afar to join in this battle, Meroz must have been close enough to hear or see the battle, the needs of Israel and yet refused to help. This curse is a bitter curse because they were obviously able to help but refused.

  11. v1Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,
v2 Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willing offered themselves .

As we offer ourselves to the LORD that bings the blessing.
When afflicted pray and sing your way out of trouble. We ought to have a song.
    It’s wonderful to trust GOD.
HE is able to take of us.
    iSing
    iPray
    iWork

  12. 1 Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,

2 Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

Willingly = by choice or preference, doing things with joy,
    word H5068 nadab

    1) to incite, impel, make willing
    a) (Qal) to incite, impel
    b) (Hithpael)
    1) to volunteer
    2) to offer free-will offerings

Do you willingly do what the Lord wants from you? or do you go kicking & screaming? Great blessings of freedom of oppression comes from going willingly to do & obey our Lord.

  13. 2 Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

9 My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the LORD.

There is something about a willingly heart that gets the attention and heart of God and in return victory, blessings and joy follows.

Neh11:2 And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.

1 Chron 29: 9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

  14. 13. The Lord made me have dominion over the mighty. I like this because the Lord made me from the dust of the earth. He also gave david the power and dominion over goliath to defeat him.So who is the mighty?Who has the dominion over that mighty. Thankyou Jesus

  15. 12 Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

When praises (songs and raised hands) go up
Blessings are going to rain down
    His glory fills the temple
Sweet peace and rest can be found.
(1Kings 8: 11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.)

    Verse:
    Giants are fall
    *Chains are coming off *
And mountains cast into the sea
So praise him in dance and praise in advance
We were made to give him the praise
I was made to give him the praise.

You’re chains that once held you captive NOW through praise (singing and lifting him your hands) hold your enemy captive.

    Glory Hallelu
This is what we’ve come to do
Tear down strongholds and **** break the chains****
Bind the devil is Jesus name
Tonight we gotta right to SHAKE THE FOUNTAIN WITH PRAISE

PRAISE HIM! PRAISE HIM! THE LORD IS WORTHY

Do you hear it? The sound of sweet victory? Praise Him region of Fort Worth!

  16. 2 “Israel’s leaders took charge, and the people gladly followed. Praise the Lord! (NLT)

9 My heart is with the commanders of Israel, with those who volunteered for war. Praise the Lord! (NLT)

Gladly follow God and praise HIm!

  17. 15And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley.

Those who went into battle recieve victory, those who stay on the bench die there.

  18. Contrasts
    Jdg 24-31

Deborah’s song ends with two contrasts. The 1st compares the joyful victory of one mother and the anguished defeat of another. Deborah, “a mother of Israel” (Jdg 5:7), sings an exuberant song of victory over the enemies of Israel and God. The battle looks like it should go to Israel’s enemy, with its stonger force of 900 chariots. But apperances dont always add up in God’s economy. Israel wins the battle, thanks in part to Jael’s initiative. Deborah’s joy is contrasted with the anguish of Sisera’s mother as she waitsfor the return of her son.
2nd contrast compares what will happen to God’s enemies with what will happen to those who love him. The 1st will be destroyed while the 2nd rise in power. The victory may not be immediate. It may look like the odds are against us. But the victor will always be the one who is on God’s side.

  19. 3 Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.

I’m no singer or can carry a beat. But, I will sing unto the Lord, to praise him! God only wants your praises, anyway you know how…

  20. iEat the Word for Dinner

“Arise and Shine, I’m Going to Work” Part 2

(Judges 5:11) They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates.

(Judges 5:12) Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

There is a cool parallel that happens with Deborah’s prophecy in the New Testament; Let us break this passage down…

    BREAKING IT DOWN

(Judges 5:11) They that are delivered from the noise of archers… (who is the archer?)

(Ephesians 6:16) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

    ***fiery darts of the wicked.***

    fiery
    G4448
    πυρόω
    puroō
    poo-ro’-o
From G4442; to kindle, that is, (passively) to be ignited, glow (literally), be refined (by implication), or (figuratively) to be inflamed (with anger, grief, lust): – burn, fiery, be on fire, try.

    darts
    G956
    βέλος
    belos
    bel’-os
From G906; a missile, that is, spear or arrow: – dart.

THE ARCHER IS THE ENEMY WHO SHOOTS THE ARROWS OF ANGER, GRIEF, AND LUST.

Deborah says “They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water”

There was a woman in the New Testament who had been shot by the arrows of the enemy…Lust had pierced her heart, grief had smote her and i’m sure one of those 5 husbands had instilled some anger into her heart…

One day as she was in the place of drawing water, the voice of her mockers and the arrows of the enemy finally stopped.

(Judges 5:11) there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates.

    ***AMAZING PARALLEL***

(John 4:28) The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

(John 4:29) Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

(John 4:30) Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

THE WOMAN AT THE WELL WOKE UP AND WENT TO WORK…

Eph 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

    COME ON LADIES…BEE DEBORAH

  21. Though Deborah took the initiative and went out and made it happen because Barack was there with her he was able to celebrate the victory. make sure you’re always with the winning team be on the lord’s side!

  22. 1Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,

2Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

This is a testimony that when people give themselves willing and unselfishly to the Kingdom of God and the purpose and work of God, God will avenge them of their adversary. There is an old saying that says living for God hard is easy, living for God easy is hard. If we will give 100% to the Kingdom, God will give 110% back to us.

  23. 3Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.

There seems to be a sense of “ownership” expressed in this passage as a response to relationship with God: “The Lord is *my* God (and I am His, not everyone may bow to Him, but as for me…), this is *my* praise to Him (because He has been so good to me, He’s given me a testimony unique to me, He’s given
me a praise that is just for me to sing to Him), and this is *my* victory (because He won it all for me, for us as Israel; we are chosen and loved, and even I am chosen and loved as an individual.)

It’s not a selfish or proud “ownership” but that of relationship, saying “God, You said I am to be Yours, well I want You to be mine; I don’t want this to be just a “You and me” thing, I want this to be an “us” thing. *I* will praise You; not just any old praise You could get from a rock, but this is my unique, personal, heartfelt praise that is just for You…”

God desires the relationship beyond the praise. He had angels praising Him before man, but His relationship was not with the angels. Man He created for that communion with Him, not mechanical, impersonal action. It’s got to become a matter of the heart with us, as it’s been a matter of the heart with God all along.

    • For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)

He is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, He so loved us from the very beginning.

  24. Judges 5:12 Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

Leaders are called to awake out of sleep. God will use us to bring victory to his people if we are awaken to his righteousness and power.

And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. -Romans 13:11

Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord. -Psalms 35:23

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. -Ephesians 4:8

  25. “When the people willingly offered themselves” when we give ouerselves to God and we offer our bodies as a living sacrafice we put ourselves in the position to be used in mighty ways. Its up to us to make the sacrifices needed to let God be God thru us.

  26. iEat The Word in the Midnight Hour

“Arise and Shine, I’m Going to Work” Part 3

12 Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

This reminds me of another story in the New Testament…

(Matthew 26:36) Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

(Matthew 26:37) And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

(Matthew 26:38) Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

(Matthew 26:39) And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

(Matthew 26:40) And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

(Matthew 26:41) Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

    WATCH
    G1127
    γρηγορεύω
    grēgoreuō
    gray-gor-yoo’-o
From G1453; to keep awake, that is, watch (literally or figuratively): – be vigilant, wake, (be) watch (-ful).

    COME ON MEN…WAKE UP

WE CANT EVEN PRAY ONE HOUR???

SOMEONE FIND DEBORAH…Prophecy into the future and tell the diciples to WAKE UP!

(Matthew 26:42) He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

(Matthew 26:43) And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

(Matthew 26:44) And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

(Matthew 26:45) Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

LOOK WHAT HAPPENS…JESUS TOLD THEM TO “SLEEP ON NOW” THEN IN THE NEXT VERSE TELLS THEM TO RISE…

JESUS HAD SAID EARLIER THAT THE SPIRIT WAS WILLING BUT THE FLESH WAS WEAK.

THEY HAD FALLEN INTO TEMPTATION…THEY WOULD TURN THIER BACKS ON JESUS…

THAT IS SPIRITUAL SLEEP… WHEN HE SAID ” SLEEP ON” HE WAS TALKING TO THE SPIRITUAL MAN…WHEN HE SAID “RISE” HE WAS TALKING TO THE PHYSICAL MAN…

    ***********************SLEEP WALKING*********************************

(Luke 24:13) And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

(Luke 24:14) And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

(Luke 24:15) And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

(Luke 24:16) But their EYES WERE HOLDEN that they should not know him.

ARISE FROM THY SLEEP OH THOU DISCIPLES

(Luke 24:30) And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

(Luke 24:31) And their EYES WERE OPENED, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

(Luke 24:32) And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

BOUT TIME YOU DUDES WAKE UP!!!

    HOW DID THEY WAKE UP?

WHERE IS DEBORAH… OH YEAH… BEE A BIBLE STUDY TEACHER AND WAKE THOSE WHO ARE SPIRITUALLY ASLEEP

  27. This chapter illustrates mindset. “Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.” Imagine what God will do when we get our mind on him (Jesus) and willing offer ourselves. May the good Lord bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  28. Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.25 He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.26 She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer; and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples

There are some bad women in this book!

This is a great example of what the church needs. Some mighty women, hard workers, motivators. The lord is showing us an example of a warrioress, she was blessed above women. She got the job done.

  29. Verse 2 in the MSG reads….”When they let down their hair in Israel, they let it blow wild in the wind. The people volunteered with abandon, bless God!”

The NLT says….”Israel’s leaders took charge, and the people gladly followed. Praise the Lord”

Our Leaders (POFW) have taken charge, we must now gladly follow!
