2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

The only way to know the things of God is to have the Spirit of God within us. He has given us His mind because carnal minds cannot do spiritual work.
Romans 8:8-9 KJV
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Preaching should be done in the demonstration of the Spirit of God, anointed by the power of God. The need should be for results not enticing words of man’s wisdom! We should strive to deliver the message God wants his people to hear not the pretty words man might want to hear.
Our faith should be the same, we should trust in God and the power of God, not in the wisdom of man. If we should choose man’s wisdom we stop the power of God from working in our lives.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
My God is so GOOD!!! You see is simple NOTHING you can imagine can be compared to what HE has prepared for you once you walk to Glory!!!

What a blessing to have a mind of Christ.
We are not Jesus but we,I can be like Jesus. He wants us to know things by The HOLY GHOST we do. But we are father like daughter or son.
I have to have His Word in me at all times because He (JESUS) talks to us by His Word(bible).
What a good Jesus.

What powerful teaching and instruction this week from Bro Greene. I can sometimes get lost in my own knowledge of the world and presume it applies to spiritual things also. However, we learned this week and affirmed again this morning that spiritual and carnal knowledge and understanding are different and separate. I must learn to keep them separated and learn to be more sensitive when the spiritual is trying to nudge me.

My faith and trust and all that I am is in You God!!

The last thing the princes of cosmos would have wanted was Jesus to have been crucified. All they knew was jealousy and the desire to kill him. They are blind with no spiritual wisdom, no fruits of the Spirit. However, they were too worldly wise to see this is what was the Lord’s divine will. A divine mystery to man. We now have the Holy Ghost within us teaching, and leading us (vs 13).

Cause thats all I really need. All I need is you Jesus.

Born of the water and spirit, we are made new creatures. The Spirit of God now resides on the throne of our heart. Daily we must do whatever is necessary to feed our Spiritual man more than the carnal man. To be carnally mind is death, to be spiritually minded is life.
Thoughts on Chapter 2

Enticing words of man’s knowledge causes us to stand in the wisdom of men, and not of God. Preachers that wax eloquent, and wow audiences with their knowledge of the word cause congregations to be led by the men, and not the spirit. Their church becomes an effigy of what once was while they live out nothing more than idol worship. When the eyes of the people are taken off the cross, and the crucifixion it becomes about the man they follow, and his mission.

I know that heaven is included in this statement, however I do not believe that that is all the writer intended. Our love for God positions us for this promise. When we love him he says that there are things prepared for us that we have not even begun to imagine. So many times I feel we live below our means spiritually. The visions, dreams, and destiny God has for us would blow our minds if we could even peak into what he is planning. I believe God is raising up an army in these last days, and that POFW will truly affect the whole world. Like the word says “the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:18)

The mind of christ is servanthood. We have the mind of christ when we put the will of God above ours, and live with the towel ready to serve.
16 For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.

When we have the mind of Christ we become privy to the will, and desires of the Lord.

The carnal perception of MORE THINGS and GODS presentation of MORE THINGS most likely holds great contrast. For example the carnal mind would consider MORE THINGS as MORE money, clothes, cars, houses, possessions, etc. However the theme of this chapter is KNOWING the voice and will of GOD, therefore the THINGS must be GOD THINGS, ETERNAL THINGS, SPIRITUAL THINGS.

I have attempted to convince many people of different denominations of the truths of God Word. I even tried to convince one young man here recently that the world was not going to end in 2014. I showed him scripture and I told him, “If 2014 rolls around and we are still here and the rapture has not happened, then will you admit that you have been deceived all this time?”
The truth of the matter is the Word of God is hidden. Why? Why wouldn’t God make the truth easy to find? Because knowledge puffeth up or brings pride. The Word is hidden and out of reach until we humble ourselves and then God brings the revelation. This is why you cannot argue the truth into someone.
“No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.” 1 Cor 2:7
From my understanding during the Old Testament times the real riches of the gospel were “hidden”. Yet by the Grace of God, we are included on this “mystery” by his spirit!
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
Thank God for His holy spirit! with MORE Holy Ghost, MORE Understanding!

We need to put our faith in God! We need to speak of more of God, than we speak of the things of this world. From day to day life we speak of worldy items and the things of this world, why can we not find it this easy to speak of the power and the glory of God! Lord I pray that you help me speak more and more about you and less about me and the things of this world!! Lord I pray that you help me decrease so that you can increase in my life!

The term “You ain’t seen nothing yet!” is perfect for this verse. A term so loosely used these day “love”. When we say we love our parents or I love my new shoes, we give the word “love” less value. So when we say I love you to God, it’s not a heart felt true expression from the inner parts of ones understanding and soul.
The word love should be only be used in our vocabulary to refer to God or our Godly love towards others because God is Love.
The vision God has placed upon our pastor is because of Love. The love He has for the lost, that’s why I believe whole heartedly God has chosen POFW and positioned us for great harvest.
Get ready, cuz we ain’t seen nothing yet!

We as a church are gonna be blown away when we see what God has in store for us and what he is going to do. I have heard all my life that God will make see that are blind, lame walk but I believe we are fixing to see all this come to past. God open my eyes and heart to be senstitive to you……….

I believe that when we have FAITH (believe) in the things not yet seen in our church, in our lives and we thrust in God’s power, we are going to see the power of God move in a mighty way in the Fort Worth area. Things are going to happen not because man said is gonna happen, but because God said that is gonna happen.
I pray that God’s anointing is upon us so that we receive what is not yet seen in our church and lives.

Lord, prepare us to see your power move and our minds to receive what some might think is never going happen… prepare us to receive it!!!
Prepare us to see your mighty power and so that others can hear what is happening in the POFW.

One that is unwilling to yield to the Spirit (Jesus), or heed the true man of God, is full of self. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. It does no good to argue with someone about spiritual truths who is not born again.

Amen! My faith stands in the all mighty and powerful Jesus Christ! Despite what doctors, nurses, supervisors, co-workers, myths, or etc. might say JESUS HAS THE FINAL SAY IN EVERYTHING! Nothing is to hard for my God that’s why all my focus is in you Jesus because we are lost without you God! I stand in your promises because I know you are true and faithful and loyal to your Word! I put all my trust in you Jesus 🙂

This is where a lot of us go wrong in trying to witness. We cannot basically throw the book at non believers and expect them to just automatically get it and miraculously change their lives. The things that we do for God are foreign, and as this scripture declaires foolish to them. We have to reach people on their level, where they are at. There are situations this year that will require us to get our hands dirty but not without reward. Our reward will be seeing souls come to God. We have to fight the fight a little different but we will win!

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. -Mark 16:20
It is not by might or by power, it is the power of the Holy Ghost that makes the difference.
Paul was a great teacher & preacher but it is was the power the Holy Ghost that made the difference.

We cannot fully understand the truths of God and his word without the Holy Ghost in you. Man’a wisdom and intellect will not comprehend the hidden secrets that can only be revealed by the Spirit of God.

Many people in their denominal churches are satisfied with great sermons using man’s wisdom, they enjoy hearing great speakers. But unless they search Gods word, they don’t know it encourages them to be seeking for the demonstration of the spirit that follows great preaching! I’m thankful for the signs and wonders that follow the preached word because the moving of the spirit changes and impacts lives-we don’t leave the same way we came!

This is very true. We must stand in the word of God and his power. He is the almighty.

Oh to have the mind of Christ. To have the mind of God is not like any other mind. His thoughts are far above ours and he knows all.

GOD wants us to seek HIM . Unless GOD reveals it to us, we have no ideal of the things that HE wants to do for HIS people. ( That’s you & me )
GOD always honors the sincere seeker, and HE will reward each individual who diligently searches after HIM. That’s HIS WORD .

God’s spirit shows his power, we should always trust in him and not in man. Give God the glory always.

4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with the demonstration of the Spirit’s power.
5 So that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.
God is in control and uses us according to His Spirit, if we let Him use us. Sometimes we can fall into the mistake that it is us that are going to convince people, or change the person with our own words of knowledge and wisdom. God just needs a humble heart ready to be used and we will be amazed how simple the message can be, but powerful at the same time. More Spirit!!
Which Mind?

There is an “intellectual Christianity” that is the false security of knowing right living intellectually and trying to walk rightly with that knowledge while failing to first take on the mind of Christ. No matter how much we know, it still all runs through the filter of our mindset. If we lack the mind of Christ, we will fail to walk in a Christ-like manner as He desires and has ordained for us.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

More faith in God will allow for more miracles. It builds up our faith when we believe in him and are filled with the Holy Ghost.
