Isaiah 55

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

  1. 1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

.All are welcome to the blessings of salvation, to whom those blessings are welcome. In Christ there is enough for all, and enough for each. Those satisfied with the world, that see no need of Christ, do not thirst. They are in no uneasiness about their souls: but where God gives grace, he gives a thirst after it; and where he has given a thirst after it, he will give it. Come to Christ, for he is the Fountain opened, he is the Rock smitten. Come to holy ordinances, to the streams that make glad the city of our God. Come to the healing waters, come to the living waters, Revelation 22:17. Our Saviour referred to this, John 7:37. Come, and buy; make it your own by application of the grace of the gospel to yourselves. Come, and eat; make it still more your own, and enjoy it. The world comes short of our expectations; we promise ourselves, at least, water in it, and we are disappointed; but Christ outdoes our expectations. We come to him, and we find wine and milk. The gifts offered to us are such as no price can be set upon. The things offered are already paid for; for Christ purchased them at the full price of his own blood, 1 Peter 1:19. Our wants are beyond number, and we have nothing to supply them; if Christ and heaven are ours, we see ourselves for ever indebted to free grace. Hearken diligently; let the proud heart stoop; not only come, but accept God’s offers. All the wealth and pleasure in the world, will not yield solid comfort and content to the soul. They do not satisfy even the appetites of the body; for all is vanity and vexation. Let the disappointments we meet with in the world, help to drive us to Christ, and to seek for satisfaction in him only. Then, and not before, we shall find rest for our souls. Hear, and your soul shall live. On what easy terms is happiness offered us! By the sure mercies of David, we are to understand the Messiah. All his mercies are covenant mercies; they are purchased by him, they are promised in him, and out of his hand they are dispensed to us. We know not how to find the way to the waters, but Christ is given to be a Leader, a Commander, to show us what to do, and enable us to do it. Our business is to obey him, and follow him. And there is no coming to the Father but by him. He is the Holy One of Israel, true to his promises; and he has promised to glorify Christ, by giving him the heathen for his inheritance.

  2. What a great GOD we serve
    He gracious to forgive
In his presence we don’t have to worry about being hungry or thirsty because he will provide
Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously. “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord . “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
    Isaiah 55:7‭-‬9‭, ‬11 NLT
    JESUS is more than enough

  3. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

God ways and his thought process is very different from ours, but we cant use thats as an excuse to why we do the ungodly things. We ought to strive for perfection and desire to be more like him everyday!!

  4. Isaiah 55;1-7 God’s free gift of salvation is offered to all who will receive it. Those who are spirituallying hungry and thirsty may come to eat and drink without money (or freely). He promises and everlasting covenant to the Gentiles like the one He established with Israel. His invitation to all men is clearly stated by the Word, Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near

2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith , I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I helped thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

  5. Let the wicked forsake his way. And the unrighteous man his thoughts :
    And let him return unto the Lord, and he will have marcy upon him;
And to our God. For he will abundantly pardo.

  6. Isaiah 55:11
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

  7. Let the unrighteous man forsake his THOUGHTS, not ways. This is because the thoughts of the heart reveal the condition of the soul and determine the ways of a a man. (As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.) God’s ways, however, are above our ways because His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Thus, it is impossible to change our ways without first committing to put on the mind of Christ. We can’t put on the mind of Christ without the Spirit of Christ and without walking in His Spirit daily. Without the Spirit of Christ, we are none of His because we would all be unrighteous men walking in the lusts of our flesh according to the thoughts of our carnal minds. To change our ways, we must tear down the strongholds of our thought-life, gird up the loins of our minds, and take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Thank God for His sacrifice, His Spirit, and the helmet of salvation He has provided for us, which makes this impossible task possible through His grace.

  8. [Isa 55:1-2 NLT] 1 “Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink–even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk–it’s all free! 2 Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food.

Truly God has given us the finest of drink by His Spirit and the finest of food by His Word! It satisfies the inner longings of our being for something eternal, something real, and something of genuine love! His Word strengthens, makes wise the simple, leads, guides, directs, renews our mind, quickens our spirits and feeds the hungry soul!!!!! Glory to God!

  9. Verses 6-9 MSG “Seek God while he’s here to be found, pray to him while he’s close at hand. Let the wicked abandon their way of life and the evil their way of thinking. Let them come back to God, who is merciful, come back to our God, who is lavish with forgiveness. “I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think.” The Lord is looking for those who are willing to be used to guide people back to Him. Many have wandered off, many are still undecided; while others are just plain stubborn. The way we think or want the Lord to use us may not be the way God has planned it; so we in turn must be flexible, must be submissive to whatever fashion or direction the Lord leads us in. Every last detail will be in His time and in His manner to bring all honor and all glory to His name.

  10. 0 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Our job and are calling is very simple. We are to love people and bring his word to them. The word of God says that the Lord will cause the increase as well that Jesus spoke of the seed and the different types of ground that there are. His word will not return void unto him it will accomplish what it is supposed to, isn’t it isn’t our job to decide the ground that we plants seed it is just to spread the word and the love of God. We are to have joy and peace while we do it, how can we have joy and peace if we are too worried about everything going on in our personal lives.?

  11. GO SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD AND LIVE VICTORIOUS

Expectation and anticipation are the ingredients for JOY and VICTORY. What a gracious and exciting time we enjoy when we know the promises of GOD are prepared for us through HIS WORD.

When we speak the WORD of GOD into a situation, we are released from the worry, concern and fear of that situation. The PROMISES of GOD are yea and amen. Speak the WORD of GOD into every situation, trial, dilemma and challenge of life and we shall GO out with JOY.

  12. Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call upon Him while He is near, Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts, and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

  13. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

It’s time for those who have departed from truth to come to their senses and return to the house of God. What a harvest we would have, an overflowing house just @ POFW if this would happen for all those who have come through the doors since our inception. We must call those things that are not as tho they were, by speaking like into the dry bones of the backslider. God and our voice of faith is their only hope of salvation.

  14. 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

God plans to pardon and forgive the unrighteous if they will come or return to him. He doesn’t plan to judge until the day of judgement. We should be very careful not to judge people by their actions or ways, because God has this plan in place to save them. We should welcome people, invite people to come learn about God then allow him to shape and mold them, in his timing. If God himself can see past their present condition so should we. Reaching for the 41 families that attended Western Day will bring the harvest we planned for.

  15. “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.
    Isaiah 55:3 NLT

It is in the Word of God that we will find true life and through His Spirit a true drink of living water. We need to come yo him the Word with an open ear and expecting the Word to produce something in our lives. It tells us here that it will.

  16. 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

  17. 6. Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. The LORD is my strong tower I run too.

  18. 1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

It don’t cost a dime to get a word from the Lord.
My cousin asked me years ago “you want the Holy Ghost? They’re giving it out free today!” Haha, that’s new wine I got experience last year October 30th
I was a man with absolutely nothing so I would drink my self to sleep, that was the only way I could sleep.
Until God came into my life I received peace I received blessings, his hand was on me from that moment on!
There was no other feeling compared and I didn’t have to pay a dime.

Let everyone know the Holy Ghost is free!

iBless you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

  19. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

  20. 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

We should be sure to seek the Lord while he may be found… He said “My Spirit will not always strive with man” So we must call upon HIm while he is near and take advantage of HIs grace and mercy.

  21. iLove to Go Blog
Isaiah 55:13 KJV  Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

God is going to take all the curses off those who love him and instead of a curse, a blessing shall spring forth. Praise the Lord, It’s time to return to our first love and start walking in the promises and blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord will rebuke the devourer off our finances if we obey His Word.

Instead of thorns, a fir tree shall spring forth! A fir tree was used back in those days to make musical instruments and a Myrtle tree was used for perfume and seasoning for food and symbolized peace and joy.

  22. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Not my thoughts but Yours, not my words but Yours, not my will but Yours! Lord it’s not about me but all about You!! Let my life reflect Your ways!

  23. V1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money: come ye,buy, and eat;yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

There’s a flowing river and be filled with the Holy Ghost!

  24. It’s always interesting, perhaps more fair to say humorous, to hear testimonies of those who actively struggle against God’s will.. as if somehow they’re actually going to get God to give him. He created the universe and all that therein is, but because one of his creatures wants it somewhat different, the rest of creation is going to give in. Yes, we will all have those moments when we may struggle with accepting God’s will, but even in those difficult times we should not lose sight or forget that his will is truly what is best for our life… even if we don’t feel we’re ready to hear it.

It is important to remember as well that God never promised us an explanation for his will. Even if he chose to reveal it, we have a basic quandary, ‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.’ This implies that I may not even understand the reasoning behind what God is doing. So if I believe his intentions are for my good, do I want him to limit the work of his hands to what I am capable of understanding? Or do I want the fulness of his power and authority to be available for the situation at hand?

Is it really trust if I can always see where he’s directing? Faith is after all, the substance of things not seen. If I’m capable of understanding and doing what needs to be done then isn’t it something I should already be doing… just a basic facet of my walk with God. Faith and trust launches from that foundation to follow the direction of God into areas he desires to use or develop in our walk with him. He won’t force my steps, but I can’t expect to go any further than where my will chose to stop itself. God expects me to GO! Go in his will with the expectation that his will is going to take me there and is going to provide what is needed along the way!

  25. 1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Come boldly to the throne of God. His mercy and love is great.

  26. 16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

God has it all in Hiis hands. The fire 🔥 of the Holy Ghost will keep you when you. We must remember that as the weapons of the enemy come they cannot destroy us. What the enemy meant to destroy God beings about a grand inheritance which will be our teward. So we must stand firm in His promises .

  27. Isaiah 55:1 (English Amp) Wait and listen, everyone who is thirsty! COME to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Yes, come, buy [ priceless, spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [ simply for the self- surrender that accepts the blessing. Rev 22:17 The [ Holy] Spirit and the bride ( the church, the true Christian’s say Come! And let him who is listening say , Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty who is painfully conscious of His need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthed. So eat , and drink the Water of life without the cost. What you come? Praise God.

  28. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

The Lord wants us to leave sin behind and follow him. His ways are not our ways, accept his ways even if we don’t understand him. May his will be done, God will give you peace and mercy.

  29. 6 Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake his ways and the evil man his thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

  30. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Have you ever just watched it rain or snow. It you really think about it, have you ever really seen where it is made? Yes we all were taught that rain is formed in clouds, but look deeper. In the midst of a dark rain cloud. Life is brought forth. Water as we know it is the substance of life. And when it hits the ground in proceeds through layers of dirt, soil, sand, rock to get to seed that has been planted by the sower. That water helps tell the seed it’s time to Grow! So don’t ever think that God doesn’t see you sowing in the fields of blessings. And don’t pray the rain of life away. For it will help that seed that you planted to Grow. As it also states in this passage, his ways are above our ways, he’s thoughts above our thoughts.
Be still and know that he is God and his ways are far greater and higher than ours.

  31. Josiah: 2 …eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
The word of God does not cost physical money every time we read it like when we eat physical meat but it does cost time which we all have. We are privileged to be able to have a relationship of God. The word of God says we shall live and have an everlasting covenant with Him. So, let us GO GET FAT spiritually as we seek a relationship with God and read His word!

  32. Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

This means one day the Lord won’t be able to b found. Jesus help me to look for you constantly right now while I have a chance, right now that I can cry out to you, right now that I know you are near. Many don’t have the privledge to do outreach, talk about God, Go to church because they will get persecuted!!! What are we doing with that privledge God has given to us….are we wasting our opportunity to pray, minister, preach, teach, love, spread His gospel, evangelize?!?!? Lord don’t let me waste my time, don’t let me take advantage of this opportunity you have given me Lord!!! I want to see you and you tell me well done my good and faithful servant!!

  33. “Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Later on in the chapter in verse 12 it tells us we will live in JOY AND PEACE! And again in vs 13 it’ll be a sign of His Love and Power!

What’s a testimony! What an example. That through seeking Him, we get Joy and Peace, that shows others His Love and Power!

  34. “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:6, 8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When we seek, then we will find. God is always there waiting for us to seek him. Sometimes in our lives we get to a place where God is not near, or he can not be found. It’s not necessary that God moved, but rather that we moved. We are constantly in a yo-yo session with God. We are near him and then focus on self. We repent and get near him again, and then our flesh pushes us away again. They key is to be constantly seeking. Constantly looking for God means that we are always near him. His ways are much higher than ours, that’s why when we self gratify we move away from him-every time.

  35. 3 “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.
4 See how I used him to display my power among the peoples. I made him a leader among the nations.
5 You also will command nations you do not know, and peoples unknown to you will come running to obey, because I, the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious.” (NLT)

Oh hallelujah, use us for Your glory Lord!

  36. 8“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.

Many try to understand the ways of God. They try to figure out, were we created, what is our purpose here on Earth. They try to use science to justify their thoughts, to explain the bible, the miracle healings one receives. Its so much easier to read the bible, and pray to God, you’ll receive understanding and peace in things you are searching for.

  37. What’s in your wallet?

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

Not so much in your wallet but what are you thinking about? Our minds are full of thoughts; our internal voice is often chatting away like a school girl. Things that have happened, things that we plan to happen and maybe we even think about things that may never happen. The real question is how are we thinking? Are we thinking like man or are we thinking like God? Of course, that’s if it’s even possible to think like the creator of the heavens and the earth!

There is God’s way of thinking, there is satans way and we are somewhere between. Man will naturally think like the devil, not like God. Paul describes it as carnal thinking. God has given us the ability to think on spiritual things, the things that God wants us to consider, and there is the difference, this natural desire to think like an animal but with the ability to overcome that natural fleshly way of thinking.

  38. 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

It is time. It is time. May I seek the Lord while he may be found, and call upon him while he is near. Strike while the iron is hot and ready. May I not miss his time for me

  39. 1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

The everlasting water of Jesus Christ! He is all free and you can receive him In all things!

  40. 1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

How can someone who has no money buy something without a price? God makes this perplexing questions simple. You need God and he knows what we have need of before we ever ask. He paid the price the day he died on the cross and with his blood washed away our sins. He is our provider and when our soul thirst he fills us up with waters of living water. When we are sold out for Jesus he gives us this access that we will never thirst again.
