Genesis 33
1 And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.
2 And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.
3 And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
5 And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.
6 Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.
7 And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.
8 And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.
9 And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.
10 And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.
11 Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
12 And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.
13 And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.
14 Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.
15 And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.
16 So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.
17 And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
18 And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before the city.
19 And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for an hundred pieces of money.
20 And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.

We are never too far to return to our hope his grace still abides

Jacob made the choice to take on the consequences of his deceit and betrayal; therefor God blessed him and his descendants. From Jacob came a great and mighty leader named Joseph, that was able to save his brethren, which hated him, and ALL of his family.
In the end, we Jacob put up his tent and he made an Altar before the Lord. May the fire on my altar never burn out! Seek ye first the Kingdom of God!

5 And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.

Blood is thicker than any family problems , most of the time we can work it out or God will .

I couldn’t help but notice the order in which he put his family in to confront what he thought was emanate danger. We can see the obedience and submission of his family even in the face of fear/danger. Are we submitted to put God’s kingdom first, no matter the situation, issue or what we may be facing? Pastor said last night to send the angels ahead of us and then when you get to where we are going, look for God to be there in the midst of it all.
10 And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.
11 Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
Esau forgave his brother for all the deceits he has done towards him. Jacob knew he didn’t deserve this forgiveness, but he was forgiven and could move with his brother as a family.
3 And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
God is working in both of their lives, at the end of the day that’s how it should always be love one another. I wonder why he would play favoritism with his children, the maids, Leah and Rachel.

When you truly love somebody; it doesn’t matter what you’ve done. Esau found it in his heart to forgive his brother Jacob. This is what we must do: no matter what happens. We should be able to forgive one another. Lord help me to search my heart and forgive any that have trespassed against me. I thank you today for being my light in a dark place.

Sometimes we worry or ha ve fear for nothing. Esau had forgiven Jacob already, and he was well to do, he cattle and all that what Jacob had He said, no Bro you keep it, I have enough! I love the humility of Essu, even back before Jacob was gone, he said “surely you have one more blessing”. He didnt care he just wanted a blessing from his father! It wasnt what he expected, but it was a blessing. God is so good, no matter the circumstances!
FIRST THE KINGDOM
When life is scary….GOD IS GOOD
“And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for an hundred pieces of money. And he erected there an altar, and called it El–elohe–Israel.”

First thing he stations is an altar. I can’t point it out enough. God has literally showed us the altar being priority for each man of God. We got to pray that’s all there is to it. It can’t be expressed enough in the whole Bible. It’s the first thing they did. Always returning back to the altar. There was provision there, there was protection, the altar was where they received a word from the Lord. When the veil was torn we all have that access to get a word from Jesus. Let’s start the day off right by going first to the Altar and seeking first the Kingdom!

Oh how sweet it is when forgiveness is given. Resentment is something that poisons your lives and becomes a cage for whomever feels it. While forgiveness liberates you and heals you physically. Oh how I love my brothers and sisters and how I miss them. The only thing I can do is pray that God show them what real forgives is like. Matt 18:21 Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.
10 And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.
11 Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
When we are blessed, should we bless those around us? Especially those that we know we’ve caused grief to? “I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand:”, as Jacob offers gifts to his brother, I believe it was as a peace offering and a thankful gift of reassurance. At first I thought maybe it was just because Jacob was afraid and out of fear. Then I thought it was out of guilt for the wrongdoings he knew he was guilty of, but after Esau embraces him, hugs him and they cry together then that’s why I feel it’s as a peace offering rather than fear or guilt. So, would this be instruction for us to do the same? Bless our previous adversary?
Genesis 33: 3-4 [Amp] Then Jacob went over [ the stream ] before them and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother. [4] But Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.
Luke 15:20] So he got up and came [ own] father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with pity and tenderness [ For him] ; and he ran and embraced him and kissed him
( fervently). Esau forgave his brother even though Jacob felt like he didn’t even deserve it. First the kingdom. No matter what we are facing in our family’s. God is in the mist of it all. Be a server to them. Forgivess and obeintence. Lord I pray that people will worship and praise you for all your glory and honer. My life belongs to you.

All I could think about in reading this chapter this morning was the HEALING and FORGIVENESS that took place between these two brothers (family).
Jacob had been away for 20 years, and Esau had no way of knowing if his brother was still alive or not. So, I’m sure that when Esau saw Jacob, he must have been so happy, and he put the past behind them. As we may say, “Let bygones be bygones.” There was HEALING that took place.
The Word tells us that if we have an ought with someone, we need to go make it right. This is what Jacob did by giving gifts to Esau. He was seeking FORGIVENESS, and when Esau received it, he accepted the FORGIVENESS.
We need to PRAY for Families to receive HEALING and FORGIVENESS. (This is something the Lord has laid heavily upon my heart.) There’s too many families out there that are broken because of trickery, deception, lies, hurt, etc… I have a situation in my family that needs HEALING and FORGIVENESS. Please PRAY for my family today, as I PRAY for yours.
HEALING and FORGIVENESS is what people/families need today!!
“So let my lord go on ahead of his servant, while I move along slowly at the pace of the flocks and herds before me and the pace of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir.””
Genesis 33:14 NIV
Everybody grows in the Lord at their own pace, there’s really no rushing them. However, we can all be like Jacob and provide any support they may need as they move forward in their walk with Him. As servants of God we must be willing to be patient with others every step of the way in order to make sure they are growing and lead in as they should be.
33:4 And Esaú ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.

Let’s search our hearts today and as soon as we see who we have problems with, let us us fix it and make it right before it’s too late. Seek peace and follow it….

Through the entire process of Jacob coming back in to his homeland, he believed God was going to bless him throughout the journey and he was praying God would bless the reunion of the meeting with Esau. When we seek God first in all we do there is no doubt he will order our steps and guide our wills. He had already ordained the meeting with Esau or God would have never told him to leave Laban’s household.
To many times when we are blessed and God takes care of us through our trials, we really never give God the honor he deserves. Jacob knee what to do when he finally got to where he was going. First he built an altar.
20 And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.
El-elohe-Israel = “the mighty God of Israel”
Jacob knee that it was the blessing of God that Esau didn’t kill him and that he made the journey safely. We have to build an altar when we come through the circumstances that overwhelm us and try to destroy our faith.
Seek first the kingdom- Build an altar!
14 Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.
15 And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.
The prophecy between these two brothers stated that the older will serve the younger. During this reunion, you will see Jacob calling Esau my Lord on multiple occasions. He followed Esau to their destination, he gave gifts to him, and spoke to him in a way with high regard and respect you would have thought the prophecy was the other way around. This is a sign of a true servant. No matter how high you go in any position and no matter how exalted you may feel you are never too high to serve those around you. The key to the kingdom is being a servant to all

Gen 33:4 Then Esau ran to meet him and embraced him, threw his arms around his neck, and kissed him. And they both wept.
The only reason this happened is because Jacob prayed. The Word says if we would humble ourselves and pray then God would hear our cry. The angel wrestled with Jacob and Jacob prevailed. This story most definitely would have ended differently had Jacob tried to handle Esau in his own strength. Jacob shows great humility to his brother as well by bowing to his brother and calling him lord. Pro 16:7 When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
8 And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.
9 And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.
10 And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.
Jacon didnt know what was gonna happen after the many years away from Esau, Esau might have still been mad with him. But God’s favor is with Jacob and Esau was kind to him. It shows what bringing forth kindness to your angry brother can do.

One of the greatest feelings is being forgiven. We read here were Esau forgave Jacob. Jacob knew that he had done wrong, but was surprised when his brother forgave him. Sometimes it is hard to forgive, but we mist. When we hold on to those things, it leads to bitterness and strife. For His Kingdom to grow we must learn to forgive quickly. I heard this saying,” Love More, Forgive Often, and cherrish the time you have, because life is too short.”
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God
10. And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.
11. Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
He knew that that without God’s intervention, this would have been a very different kind of meeting.

Mighty is the God of Israel!
It’s all about the ALTAR
Seek His kingdom and never let your fire burn out.
FIRST THE KINGDOM
WHERE WILL YOU BUILD AN YOUR ALTAR
19 And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for an hundred pieces of money.
20 And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.
In a society that thrives on convenience we are tempted and often settle for the “altar of convenience”. However we learn from Jacob here in this chapter the importance of the ALTAR and where we offer sacrifice.
Jacob bought the place where he built his altar to the LORD. He desired not to use land that belonged to another, he bought his own, he sacrificed of his resources so that he could call it his own.
I liken this unto the “buy-in” of the church. When we sacrifice of our resources “money” we buy-in to the VISION of the LORD for that place in the parcel of field and we build our altar there on our place.
This is why it is so important to remain planted, to be committed to your church. No we don’t purchase a piece of the church physically, but we do buy-in spiritually to the VISION of the Church and we build out altar there.
Jacob named the place of his ALTAR “The Mighty GOD of Israel”.
The Pentecostals of Fort Worth has many ALTAR names according to families that have bought in to the VISION of the house of the LORD.
Every time we come to worship at The POFW we should consider the ALTAR that we have built there and if you have not built an ALTAR to the LORD at The POFW then buy-in to the VISION and BUILD an ALTAR to the LORD at The POFW.

Jacob remembered his God and what He had done for him. When he settled his family the first thing he did was establish the ALTAR in his life.
3 And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
It looks to me like favor follows humility. If Jacob had boastfully walked in with his large crowd, Esau probably wouldn’t have reacted in the same manner. Jacob knee better though. He prayed and he humbled himself, even blessed his brother. When Esau saw this, he showed him favor by simply showing gratitude for his family’s presence. Thank You Lord for Your favor that goes before us!

It was pride that lead Jacob to fear what his brother might do to him if he saw him again, but in Jacobs humility Esau greeted him with open arms. He greatly humbled himself before his brother and offered him gifts in atonement for his wrong doings, and in doing so he was able to be forgivin. When we come before God in all humility to atone for our wrong doings, God is able to forgive us as well. He welcomes us with open arms.

Forgiven
What a wonderful feeling.
Forgiveness may never come in the form of I’m sorry.
The past may never be spoken.of. True forgiveness doesn’t come from the offender but the offended.
This is the freedom only God can give. An Inventory investigation of our own self allowing God’s flashlight to get rid of all the weevils yes bugs of offenses we cannot see until God examines deeper painful yes but it releases resentment bitterness and any other junk we’ve missed along the way ,then we can truly say we have forgiven.
Ephesians 4:32
Genesis 33
12 Then Esau said, “Let’s get ready to go, and I’ll go with you.”
13 Jacob said to him, “Sir, you know that the children are frail and that I have to take care of the flocks and cattle that are nursing their young. If they’re driven too hard for even one day, all the flocks will die. 14 Go ahead of me, sir. I will slowly and gently guide the herds that are in front of me at their pace and at the children’s pace until I come to you in Seir.”
The excitement of reunion . New friends new family members . Esau was thrilled to reunite with Jacob and quite in a hurry to get to know all of his family.
Respect was also being shown here in this conversation between two brothers who were now both blessed. When reading this scripture I see the excitement and anticipation yet Jacob makes a wise decision. He is leading with not only his heart but uses wisdom. He says I must allow them to make the journey at their own pace. We as Christians especially “long time “ Christians must realize that new members of our Spiritual Family cannot go at the same pace we do. Some are still babes nursing and if pushed will die. Others are children and they will romp and play and begin to show growth yet they will tire out before the journey is completed .
We the adult Christian must be mindful where the younger Christians are. We in a Spiritual family must be patient as Jacob is here not in such a hurry but to allow them to go at their own pace. We cannot get frustrated just because they can’t keep up . Can we lead successfully. I believe so
Take a look around you we can lend a hand an encouraging word a shoulder and sometimes offering to carry them. We as the family of God must be mindful not to judge nor complain nor compare . Jacob had to be mindful where each family member was at. Some needing milk Bible Studies, some more nutrients more in depth Bible Study Impact Class , involvements In recreations men’s campouts women’s luncheons and ministry at their own paces. This is a beautiful picture of POFW and our caretaker watching over the entire sheepfold. Our Pastor and First Lady . Opportunity to go at your pace. Now needless to say as any good parent some children need an extra push from time to time. Yet it’s all fir the Kingdom. We can unite reunite and have respect and love and it seems we need to do it quick. Time is running out. Not only in the Spiritual but in the natural our own family disputes we must allow our hearts and arms to be open to them without grudges and also when the backsliders return arms open and God’s Love that goes beyond our own understanding. His ways are perfect . We are just vessels to be used . Thank you Jesus for allowing each of us to meet you at our own pace.
Esau was ready to forgive Jacob took a risk of possibly losing everything but God worked out both sides .
In the natural and spiritual there are risks there are challenges yet when God is right in the center He has the plan .
God’s plans are almost always different from our plans, but His plans are always perfect! Have the patience to wait on His timing instead of forcing your own.
“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord; plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
It is not told in this the length of time since Jacob was sent by his parents to the land of his mother, and the coming together of Jacob and Esau. Yet we can only imagine it has been many years because Jacob worked for Laban 14 years for his wives, and then they have several children together so it is safe to say many years.
God has honored Jacob and blessed him in all his endeavors, yet the fact remains that he had decided his brother and cheated him out of his inheritance so to finally meet up with him, I’m sure Jacob was a little uneasy.
Yet when the two come together, Jacob humbly bows in respect towards Esau, and Esau openly receives Jacob as his long lost brother.
We don’t have an account of what Esau’s life has been like for the years that the two brothers have been separated, yet we can only imagine that the bond of brotherhood was missed in both their lives.
Look how much time was wasted because of deception and jealousy? If only they had reconciled before now.
How many times do we allow something between us and someone else fester and may go unrepented of and forgiveness is never found, and so the root of bitterness sets in?
It is best to make amends, take the low road, be humble, ask forgiveness and rebuild a friendship than to harbor feelings against someone and never reconcile.
Don’t waste time…..rebuild the relationship that has been broken, make amends, ask forgiveness, forgive and don’t allow this to be a stumbling block in the path of unity.

Jacob wisely submitted to his brother, deferring himself as his servant, and insisting on giving Esau the small droves of livestock he had created as gifts. And with the help of the Lord, their meeting was peaceful. Without God, it would all be left to chance, but with God, Jacob is able to come home again & settle in this land.
4 Then Esau ran to meet him and embraced him, threw his arms around his neck, and kissed him. And they both wept.
You can only imagine the great and long embrace they had. Not seeing one another for many years. Yes, embrace your loved ones, your family when you see them. A simple hug goes a long way. Never allow a dispute come between you and a relative and learn to forgive, don’t hold a grudge against another family member.

Give and it shall be given unto you. God knows exactly where you at and your need. When you put Him first He’s going to take care of you. Don’t hesitate to Bless those that are in need! Let the Spirit of God.

*El encuentro de Jacob con su hermano Esaú. Ya habían pasado veinte años desde que Jacob había salido huyendo de la furia de su hermano. Sin duda se preguntaba si Esaú todavía le guardaba resentimiento o ya lo había perdonado. A primera vista, parecía que venía con ánimos de pelear, ya que venía acompañado de una gran compañía de hombres.

*Jacob protegió a su familia de un posible ataque de Esaú Tenía miedo de su reacción , pero actuó sabiamente.
*HUMILDAD
Jacob actuó con mucha sabiduría en su encuentro con Esaú. No se puso en una actitud agresiva sino defensiva. Pero lo más importante es que actuó con mucha humildad.
*La Biblia dice que “la respuesta suave aparta la ira”. (Pro 15:1), y esa fue la actitud que tomó Jacob ante Esaú. Jacob no llegó con prepotencia o con excusas, sino con humildad.
(3) y él se les adelantó, y se inclinó hasta el suelo siete veces hasta que llegó cerca de su hermano.

The love of Brothers
4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
I am the youngest of 8. We have had some doozies of arguments and fights but we always find a way to forgive but I have some that hold grudges maybe till the day they die. I have gained even more brothers and sisters at the POFW and what I have found is the same. Some forgive quickly and love peaceful lives and some hold grudges that they may carry to their grave. I have been through too much in my life to hold grudges. Anyone who has wronged me I would love the chance to hug their necks and maybe even cry it out. Whatever it takes to love in peace with your family. The love of Brothers has to be greater than anything that the enemy would put between us. We have to remember how short life is and love forgive and forget. Peace is worth so much more than being right. Peace is what will bring us back together.

It is rare and pleasant to find someone who claims to have enough, as the vast majority are yearning for more. Here we have two people who were happy; two brothers from a very different position, but both say “I have enough.” Where will we find brothers like them?
Not because Esau had other faults, he had to be unhappy and ambitious. Contentment is a moral quality, just as it is also sometimes a spiritual grace.
However, this has its bad side.
Tends to foster a certain contempt for spiritual riches.
It can be a sign that such a person has his part in this life.
It is a pity that this is not true with all Christians.
Some seem very anxious about the things of the world, although they profess to be separated from it.
It’s nice to have something to give to the poor; and this should be the objective of our labors
But best of all is to have all things.

In times of pain and hurt we must build ourselves and alter.
,in confusion and offense we must build ourselves an alter,when it feels as the enemy is coming in as a flood then we must build ourselves an alter.the moment we get kingdom mind is when we build and alter for ourselves no matter the time nor situation.

El-elohe-Israel = “the mighty God of Israel”
The might God of who? How many times did he not tell Jacob what to do and that he was with him. Moreover, God told him that he was gonna bless him. Yet despite all this… Jacob still feared man. He feared what his brother Esau was going to do to him. He had had several encounters with the Lord he appeared to him in dreams gave him direction, told him He was the God of his fathers told him He was going to be with him. Yet I see one key element missing. This one factor called relationship. Relationship brings, trust, love and security. You trust your best friend that he has the best interest in you. And what he is gonna do, that he will do. You can trust your friend to be there in time at the appointed place. This bring trust. This brings love. And love casts out all fear. Up until this point the essence of relationship was missing with Jacob. In a world of today where human interaction seems to be less trust worthy we tend to have more faith on our phones than relationships with people. So we find it hard to trust in a heavenly father whom we cannot see. Can he really mean the best? Is he really working on my situation? I dont know if he is. I dont seen anything happening. I dont see him at work.
But the word says that Esau ran to meet Jacob his brother. Kissed him, hugged him and wept. What wonders can God do when we dont see? Somewhere in time God had dealt with the heart of Easu. God had turned the offended and hurting heart to a loving and caring heart that missed his brother. Forgiveness and offense is sometimes something God can only work out. So is trust. It is on those late night prayer, it is when you talk to God that he brings to work. Then he gives a command to go. Yet have you made him you close friend, you loving father to trust Him that he already has worked it all out?
I’m pretty sure at the moment God told Jacob to go from Laban’s house, he had already dealt with Esau. His heart was healed, and mended and had forgiven, and all he wanted was to see his brother. His only brother.
Like Jacob how deep do you consider your relationship with the Father that you shall not fear?
We must remember that the Word says that he holds the kings hearts in his hands and turns them to whichever way he wants. What is best is that he may have your heart in his hands and wherever and whenever he directs with full confidence we go fearing nothing. He is not just the God of my fathers but He is My God.

17 And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
18 And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before the city.
19 And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for an hundred pieces of money.
20 And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.
Don’t forget to build your altar. This life brings many opportunities. Whatever you do or wherever you go, place Jesus FIRST! Without Jesus we can’t do anything! If you pray daily and place God’s word in your heart then everything will go well.

2 And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph
3 And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
Regardless of the amount of deception and difference there comes a point where it all needs to be put to the side to embrace one another. This can only happen when both parties are ready and willing to be humble and yield. It will be uneasy for all but we must all learn to have hard conversations , accept that we are different, and be willing to find a way to move forward.
But Esau ran to meet him and embraced him, and hugged his neck and kissed him, and they wept [for joy]. When Jacob came from Paddan-aram, he arrived safely and in peace at the city of Shechem, in the land of Canaan, and camped in front of the [walled] city. Then he bought the piece of land on which he had pitched his tents from the sons of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for a hundred pieces of money. There he erected an altar and called it El-Elohe-Israel.
GENESIS 33:4, 18-20 AMP
God fulfilled his promise to Jacob and when his family was settled he built an altar to honor God, calling it El-Elohim Israel – The Mighty God of Israel. We must be willing to bless and glorify His name at all times, theough the good and the bad. He truly is a Mighty God!
While I live will I praise the Lord : I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
Psalms 146:2 KJV

An early glimpse of the Promise Land. So why did they leave? Why do we leave our promise when a little drought hits us???
9 And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.
10 And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.
11 Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
We need to realize that God is good to us and provides our every need and we need to bless others when we are able to because we never know what that seed will grow inti
Easu forgave Jacob. We must forgive others as Jesus forgave us.

I could feel the heavy hearts of a brother that are at war with each other… finally a sense of peace. And understand for a moment.
The favor of God went before him as he humbled himself in front of his brother.
“Jacob replied, “No, please, if now I have found favor in your sight, then accept my gift [as a blessing] from my hand, for I see your face as if I had seen the face of God, and you have received me favorably.”

There’s nothing like a friendly and welcoming face. It allows walls to come down and a feeling of acceptance.
And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
Great example of forgiveness and obedience.

5 And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.
6 Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.
7 And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.
8 And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.
9 And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.
Always pray for your enemies even if they are a family member and trust in God.
