Psalm 141

Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

Our bones are scattered at the grave’s mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

  1. 2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Oh Lord, I am so thankful to be able to pray to such a wonderful God, the only true God. I pray that my prayers give you the praise that only you deserve. I am thankful to be able to communicate to you the all mighty, the creator of everything, the Alpha and the Omega. I am thankful to spend time in our word, and to give you control of my life, I am your humble servant, and I pray that I may bring other lost sheep back home to you, where they belong. Thank you Jesus.

  2. Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

We want our prayers heard, we all do. We have to desire this everyday not just in times of desperation. David wants righteousness to flood everything within him. We too have to have this kind of aspiration when it comes to the Word of God and relieving more of Him. Find an altar and seek him!

  3. Thank you Jesus for today , let his will be done today . He is worthy

Lord, I call to you for help. Listen to me as I pray. Please hurry and help me! Accept my prayer like a gift of burning incense, the words I lift up like an evening sacrifice.
    Psalms 141:1‭-‬2

  4. 8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

As I talk to God this early morning these are some outstanding word that I’m praying from this chapter. God is my Trust, help me keep my eyes unto Thee Lord.

  5. Verses 8-9 AMP “For my eyes are toward You, O God, the Lord; In You I take refuge; do not pour out my life nor leave me defenseless. Keep me from the jaws of the trap which they have set for me, And from the snares of those who do evil.” Let us keep our eyes focused on Jesus and stay away from evil.

Proverbs 4:25-27 AMP “Let your eyes look directly ahead [toward the path of moral courage] And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you [toward the path of integrity]. Consider well and watch carefully the path of your feet, And all your ways will be steadfast and sure. Do not turn away to the right nor to the left [where evil may lurk]; Turn your foot from [the path of] evil.”

  6. 4. Don’t allow my deepest desires to steer me toward doing what is wrong or associating with wicked people Or joining in their wicked works or tasting any of their pleasures. Voice

    Proverbs 22
    1. A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.

    4. By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. KJV

  7. Psalms 141: 5 [ amp] Let the righteous man smite and correct me it is a kindness, Oil so chose let not my head refuse or discourage; for even in their evils or calamities shall my prayer continue.
Prov. 9:8] Reprove not a scorner heaps upon himself abuse, and he who deprives a wicked man gets for himself bruises.
Gal.6:1] Brethren, if any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort , you who are spiritual
[ who are responsive to and controlled by the Spirit] should sey him right and restore and reinstate him without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, keeping an attentive eye on yourself, lest you should be tempted also.
We all need correction in our lives, bear on another burdens and troubles. I want someone to correct me if I am not doing right! We all make mistakes in lives. What is it the lacking in your obedience to it]. Thank you Jesus for your word.

  8. You are my Lord and God, and I look to you for safety. Don’t let me be harmed.
    Psalms 141:8 CEV

If the LORD provides, shelters takes care of the sparrow, He will also take care of you.
Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
    Matthew 10:31 KJV

Don’t be afraid of people. They can kill you, but they cannot harm your soul. Instead, you should fear God who can destroy both your body and your soul in hell.
    Matthew 10:28 CEV

  9. 9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

If it’s one thing that God has taught me about my enemies is that their lack of standards and morals work against themselves. When someone, who is seen as an enemy of faith, does not have a standard of faith and an ethical code to stand on they will find themselves in The traps that they lay for others. The Bible gives us plenty of examples of enemies falling to traps of their own vices. it’s happened to me multiple times in my life, the word tells us and many ways that God has our back

  10. “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭141:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Everyday we should be lifting our hands praising God and giving thanks. Everyday letting God know that we surrender to him and that he is far greater than us or our problems. Everyday saying he is all powerful. Lord we lift your name on high.

  11. When all you have is a prayer🌵

The weapon that we don’t see at the time

Sometimes when I begin to pray I don’t feel anything.

BUT God reminded me yesterday that those mornings I got up and I didn’t feel anything while praying God was feeling everything and the prayers I have prayed God was covering me from the unseen.

No I wasn’t getting up praying for me but for everything

    Psalm 141:4 KJV
[4] Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

    Proverbs 18:10 KJV
[10] The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

  12. 1 Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

As David cried unto the Lord for the grace and mercy, we too have to have a passion for prayer so that when in need we can cry out to the Lord first. We have to have a desire to talk to God when everything else will fail, prayer will be the answer. Sometimes when we pray we have to have our faith fixed to believe the answer is on its way even when we can’t see it.

When I can see God, I know he is working. When I can’t feel God I know that he is working. We have to know that as we petition him, will has a desire to see us prosper and be successful in our walk here on this earth but we must not allow the enemy to deter us. We have to be bold and pray when no one else does. As David penned, his praise shall continually be in my mouth and earnestly seek his face in prayer. He is our present help in the time of trouble. Prayer will get the job done.

  13. 2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

What a wonderful God we serve. He listens to our every word. He knows us to the smallest detail and He watches over us. David compares our words to the scent of incense and the lifting of hands to a sacrifice. To many the lifting of hands is so hard because their bound by pride, bound by their own judgement, bound by sin, there are so many things that can bind us if we don’t pay attention. Oh but how precious is the moment that God free us and we lift our hands with joy, knowing that He has forgiven us, knowing that He gives us joy!!!! How can we receive of our hands aren’t open? How can we receive if we are bound? Open your hands, lift them up as a sign of surrender and God will pour out His blessings in a way that your hands aren’t big enough to catch it all!!!! Hallelujah!!! Thank you Jesus!!!

  14. Psalms 141
    But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord;
    in you I take refuge

Father today keep my every thought in submission to You. Guard my eyes so that they never lose sight of the goal. You are my strength and my refuge …

  15. 9 Keep me from the traps they have set for me, from the snares of those who do wrong. 10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, but let me escape.

You never know when someone is up to no good. The enemy does things in the dark, and in secret. Others will take advantage of you goodness, so they can advance their agenda. Eventually their wicked ways will catch up to them, and God will punish them for being deceitful.

  16. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus

3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. 4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

This is classic David right here. Praying for the Lord to help him in what he says and how he says it. David was considered a man after God’s own heart, not because he was perfect, but because he continually prayed God would change and protect his heart. We must come before God everyday in prayer and seek Him to change our hearts and protect our speech.

  17. 8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

We can’t trust in the things of this world, nor the arm of the flesh. If we do, all we gain is the worldly things. Jeremiah 17:5 says cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength and whose hearts turn away from God. Rather, we must trust in God who is our strength, our shelter in the storm, our healer, our provider, our protector…
He is everything we need in this present day and time.

  18. 3. Post a guard at my mouth, God, set a watch at the door of my lips.

When my girls were little, I could not stand whining. Of course, children cry and get upset. However, I simply stated, I can not understand you until you calm down and speak to me in a regular voice. Sometimes, this took no time at all; other times, it took a while for them to calm down enough to explain the pain.

Isn’t that the state of the world today? We are whining about everything. We are whining about our job, our home, our TV, our phone, our family, our church, etc. For some people it is hard to find anything that they are content with. A significant portion of the population are whining and complaining about being locked down with their families of all people!!

I count it a blessing to spend this time with my family. One day, I predict they will too. I never had time like this to spend with my family. The old saying; cant see the forest for all the trees. Let’s change our whining and complaining to actually see the blessing it is.

  19. 8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, He is our protector. He will always lead us inn His will, and if we are willing to follow, is the safest and best place we could ever be!

  20. “But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭141:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Soul -this is our mind, will and emotion. It’s the deepest part of our being because this is where decisions are made. It’s the place that drives us. And David is saying,
don’t let my mind, will and emotions be destitute or be uncovered to be displayed for the wick and traps that have been set for and around me, Cover me!
I feel that this is very important to our mental well-being. God is given us power, love and a sound mind. He cares about every part and detail of our lives. If we are experiencing a battle in our Soul -mind, will and emotions, perhaps we should take David’s approach and pray that are mind be covered by the Almighty God Jesus.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
    ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  21. 8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

Do not look to the left or to the right, just keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.

  22. We used to sing a song about ….. Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in his wonderful face and the things of this life will grow gravely dim in the light of his glory and grace. This seems at this time in life to create a whole lot of comfort. God bless POFW and God bless Bro and Sis Watts.

  23. 5 Let the righteous [thoughtfully] strike (correct) me—it is a kindness [done to encourage my spiritual maturity].
    It is [the choicest anointing] oil on the head;
    Let my head not refuse [to accept and acknowledge and learn from] it;
For still my prayer is against their wicked deeds.

David is acknowledging that he recognizes thoughtful correction leads to spiritual maturity. None of us like correction, but God has people in our lives to help us stay balanced and there are times we get out of balance. God uses people to thoughtfully correct us so that we get in balance.

There are many reason why we become unbalanced: busy life, busy family, lack of priorities, lack of trust in God, lack of faith, or it could be that we are just a disorganized person in every aspect of our lives. Whatever the reason, God loves us enough to send His word to correct us, either through the written pages of His word, or the voice of a leader in our lives. We must not resent those times. It could be saving us from falling off the cliff, from backsliding, from making a decision that will cost us far more than we are willing to pay.

I choose the attitude of David:

    8 For my eyes are toward You, O God, the Lord;
In You I take refuge; do not pour out my life nor leave me defenseless.
9 Keep me from the jaws of the trap which they have set for me,
And from the snares of those who do evil.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets,
While I pass by and safely escape [from danger].

  24. 141:3-5 set a watch oh Lord before my mouth
Keep the door of my lips.
Incline not mmine heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity and let me not eat of their dainties.
Let the righteous smite me , it shall be a kindness
, and let him reprove me, it shall be an excellent oil
Which shall not break my head, for yet my prayer shall also be in their calamities.
    ——-
Lord and this is my prayer also.
There are times that we just want to speak our mi f and speak up. Let us watch it!!! It might be be the Hy Ghost but our flesh.
    In Jesus name I pray🙏.
I want to be full of the Holy Ghost and speak with boldness
And know to recognize the times.
    Hallelujah

  25. Psalms 141:8, (KJV) “But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.”

Psalms 141:8, (VOICE) “My gaze is fixed upon you, Eternal One, my Lord; in You I find safety and protection. Do not abandon me and leave me defenseless.”

When we keep our eyes upon JESUS and put our Trust in Him, He will take care of us and protect us. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

  26. 2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

    Exodus 29:42
This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.

Prayers and worship given to God will drawn His attention to us. The morning and evening sacrifice was given at the door of the tabernacle where God said He would meet with them and speak to them. Let us be willing to offer up prayers of incense and worship that we may meet with God and He may speak to us.

  27. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
MY HANDS MY MOUTH MY EYES

1 Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

As I read through this chapter, my attention was drawn to the mention of all the body part references in this small chapter. My first thought was how each part of the body a function and its application to The POFW as the Body of Christ to this world. Upon further review, my attention was drawn deeper into the specific body parts the psalmist mentions in regard to his approach to GOD in the venue of Prayer.

As we condition ourselves for 40 Days of focused Prayer at The POFW lets consider the words of the psalmist as a guide to approach Prayer.

2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

First, lets approach prayer as an opportunity to fill the room, area, region with incense.

Incense – 1: the perfume exhaled from some spices and gums when burned
    broadly : a pleasing scent
    2: pleasing attention

Notice there is a FIRE required for incense to burn and be pleasant or pleasing to JESUS. This approach to Prayer presents the opportunity to Bless the LORD. Considering this approach notice the first mention.

Lifting of my hands. My hands represent what I touch, the work I do, actions: the apostle James states: James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Clease your hands, indicating that we have the filth of sin on our hands from actions initiated, but when they are clean, the psalmist identifies an evening sacrifice.

Psalm 134:2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

The second and third body parts are closely connected:

3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing,

    My mouth and my heart:

JESUS explains this one for us:

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

What we allow in the heart comes out of our mouth. Fear, Faith, Facts or Fiction all come from the heart. This reveals the VALUE of what I put in my heart and again confirms the importance of #EverydayPOFW Bible Reading and Prayer

The fourth body part mentioned is the eyes:

8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

Maintaining VISION of JESUS in our lives is imperative to our level of TRUST. Distractions from JESUS leave us with a sinking feeling in a storm. The apostle Peter reveals this as he begins to sink in the storm on the water.

Our eyes are so important to our Spiritual VISION and Progress. Moses fixed his eyes on the burning bush and heard from the LORD. The lame man was healed when he looked on Peter and John at the Temple. Keeping our eyes on JESUS, will bring us knowledge and understanding of HIM and HIS Will.

  28. 3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

We should not lie and watch what you say and not to ever lie

  29. 8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

When your eyes are set on God, you can see the victory ahead of you. You can see his blessings and the path he has laid out. Let’s not take our eyes off God for he is good. It is his grace that is sufficient for us.

  30. 3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

If David took the time to ask the Lord to help him be accountable for what we say, should we not consider to do the same? We know that the power of life and death are in the tongue, and who else then The Lord Almighty helping us control what we speak; bonus He already knows the intent of your heart anyway.

  31. 2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Prayer is of a sweet-smelling savour to God, just a incense is a sweet smelling savor.

But incense has no savor without fire. So what is our prayer without the Fire of the Holy Ghost? Or without the Fire prepared for our sacrifice?

House of Prayer – Eddies James

    “Lord, Make Me A House
Make Me A House of Prayer
    Lord, Make Me A House
Make Me A House of Prayer
    A House of Prayer

May The Fire On My Altar Never Burn Out
The Fire On My Altar Never Burn Out
May The Fire On My Altar Never Burn Out
Make Me A House of Prayer
    Day And Night
    Night And Day

    Day And Night
    Night And Day

    Day And Night
    Night And Day

Lord Make Me A House of Prayer”

  32. 1 Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

We do ask for the Lord to answer our prayers immediately, however we all know that his timing is perfect. We cry out for him to do it fast and make haste. We want him to listen when we cry and do it as soon as possible, however, he knows what we need and in what timing.

2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Again, we are back to the power behind the tongue. The prayer here is asking God to watch our mouth and our lips and help us as we freely talk. The power of your mouth and words can speak life or death. Be careful what you speak into existence.

  33. The power of the tongue. The tongue is a doorway of life for our body, soul and spirit. To change what’s coming out of our mouth, we must change what’s going into our heart.

  34. 8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

I wouldn’t be able to make it a day at a time without focusing my eyes on you my thoughts on you they will keep me safe.

    A.L.M.A.S.

  35. 3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

even when we have those that are against us or seek our demise we are still responsible for how we react and what we say. They’re truly is life and death in the power of the tongue and we shall eat the fruit of what we say. If we start speaking ill or accusing someone then we are no better than those that speak against us. God is a better avenger than we could ever be.

  36. “I look to you for help, O Sovereign Lord. You are my refuge; don’t let them kill me. Keep me from the traps they have set for me, from the snares of those who do wrong. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, but let me escape.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭141:8-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬
The enemies of David were determined to destroy him, and so they set many snares, traps, and nets for him. David’s prayer was that they would fall into their own nets, even as he would escape safely.Do not let your enemies destroy.

  37. vs.8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD, the Lord: in thee us my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

Fear should not consume us as children of God because God’s power is able to keep us until we are safe in heaven.

“but the word of our God shall stand forever. ” Isaiah 40:8

  38. 3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

As David asked God to keep watch of his speaking. We do must ask God to keep our words in guard. To be wise as we speak to others or how we respond to stress situations. The world is watching us. How we act and speak. We are God’s representation. How does this world see us? I pray that God guards our tongues and speaks through us to speak to others and bring them to His word. Your words matter!

  39. I Love To Worship The Lord
    (vs 8-10)
I look for help O LORD GOD. You are my refuge. Dont let them slay me. Keep me out of there traps. Let them fall into their own snares while I escape
DAVID prays at evening for protection from sin and from sinners he will be safe as long as he keeps his eyes fixed on the Lord.

  40. Psalm 141 – No Compromise
This psalm has the title A Psalm of David. It shows David as a man of tender conscience, who asked God to deal with his own sin and weakness before addressing the wicked men who fought against him. It shows that David was even more concerned about evil inside himself than he was about evil from others.

“The colourful Hebrew of the middle verses is difficult, but the thrust of the psalm is plain: a prayer against insincerity and compromise, and a plea for survival under the savage attacks which such an attitude has invited.” (Derek Kidner)

According to John Trapp, the great preacher of the early church John Chrysostom said this psalm was used in his era (A.D. 349-407) as part of the evening liturgy in the Greek Church, due to the reference in verse 2 to the evening sacrifice.

  41. 5 Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

6 When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

7 Our bones are scattered at the grave’s mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

Thank you Lord, for your protection from the wickedness of this world. When this Covid19 pandemic started I found myself anxious and struggled with peace of mind. But regardless of what may or may not happen, I choose faith over fear.
I also ask the Lord to forgive my lack of trust on His word. EVERY PROMISE IN THE BOOK OF MINE!

  42. 4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

We must not let our minds and hearts be tempted by wicked and worldly things, the word tells us that we must be of this world because this wicked world is not where we belong but we have been place here to reach the lost and dying and point them to Jesus as we go through life’s journey. We must always resist the things of this world and always remain godly minded so that way we can truly pass on the gospel to the lost.

  43. Psalm 141:2 Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice when I cry unto thee. Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as evening sacrifice.

May we never lack wood and sacrifice on the altar of our heart. May your fire never go out, Keep the Fire Burning.

  44. “Let the righteous [thoughtfully] strike (correct) me—it is a kindness [done to encourage my spiritual maturity]. It is [the choicest anointing] oil on the head; Let my head not refuse [to accept and acknowledge and learn from] it; For still my prayer is against their wicked deeds.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭141:5‬ ‭AMP

I know for me, I don’t like being told what I’ve done wrong. However, when I can back to the church I had to learn it ain’t about me and what pleases me, it’s about God’s. Paul told the Corinthians

“Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬).

If I’m doing something I shouldn’t be (if I know it or not) I would rather put away my pride and have someone tell me here rather than answer to God about it in Judgement. The Bible says ignorance is not an excuse. So like David said, let this kindness be done unto me!

I thank God for Wisdom, whether given to me, those in authority over me, or my bothers/sisters in Christ. I pray we accept correction when given it to learn from it and give our wisdom to help others!

  45. Salmos 141:8-10
    “Por tanto, a ti, oh Jehová, Señor, miran mis ojos;
En ti he confiado; no desampares mi alma.

    * ” A ti, oh Jehová, Señor, miran mis ojos:”
! No Quiero la Vida sin Dios en ella! .
En todos los tiempos, en todos los lugares, en todas las ocasiones, voy a depender del Señor, y pondré toda mi confianza en Él.

  46. 8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.
9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

When you were confused and fearful remember to keep your eyes on the Lord and pray for direction and he will always keep you on the right path. Follow the word of God he is the light of the world.

  47. Psalms 141:8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.
David’s enemies tried to destroy him but David kept praying to God and trusted in Him. Do not let the enemy consume you, fear is not of God!

  48. “LORD, I call upon You; hurry to me. Listen to my voice when I call to You. Let my prayer be counted as incense before You; The lifting up of my hands as the evening offering.” “Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips [to keep me from speaking thoughtlessly].”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭141:1-3AMP‬‬

There is power when we begin to pray but we must realize that just because we pray does not mean it will happen right then and there. When we raise our hands to god surrendering we may have to wait sometimes. While we wait pray that god controls our tongue and that we don’t begin to say things out of anger or impatience.

  49. Psalms 141:2
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as inscense, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Let my prayers be as a sweet smelling aroma going up to Heaven, and my uplifted hands be as evening worship.

  50. I know what it looks LIKE but what are you looking AT?

7 Our bones are scattered at the grave’s mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

Right now I’m the world it may look bleak if you focus in on the problems and misfortunes all around us… But God
If we keep our eyes on Him we will be victorious .

  51. Take control of what I say, O Lord , and guard my lips.
    Psalms 141:3 NLT

The tongue is a powerful member and we must be careful on how we choose to use it. We can lift someone up as easily bring them down and be hurtful. Every word we speak will have consequences and be accountable to the Lord. Let’s use out tongue and lips for Good and to share Jesus.

  52. “I look to you for help, O Sovereign Lord. You are my refuge; don’t let them kill me.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭141:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This Scripture means that, The Lord is our refuge He can give us peace and comfort during our tribulations of life that’s why we ask for help from The Lord

  53. 10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

The wicked will fall into their own nets so we don’t have to get revenge on the wicked cause God handles them

  54. Psalms 141:3,5
[3]Take control of what I say, O  lord,
        and guard my lips.
    [5]Let the godly strike me!
        It will be a kindness!
If they correct me, it is soothing medicine.
        Don’t let me refuse it.
    But I pray constantly
against the wicked and their deeds.
We are responsible for what we say and do. We can pray for the Lord to help us. On Pastor Watts impact thoughts on Saturday. We shouldn’t play the blame game. We should be like David.
    Psalms 31:10
    [10]I am dying from grief;
my years are shortened by sadness.
    Sin has drained my strength;
I am wasting away from within.
David takes responsibility for cutting a piece of Saul’s robe. He blames himself. He identifies the situation and takes responsibility. I’m going to blame myself because of my iniquity and because I didn’t do what was right, because I didn’t do what I know I should and could do. David did an internal search. That is why David can be called a man after God’s own heart.
    Psalms 31:23
Love the lord, all you godly ones!
For the lord protects those who are loyal to him,
but he harshly punishes the arrogant.
We are under the seal of God and the Holy Ghost so I know today he is going to preserve me because I am faithful, I’m where I’m supposed to be, I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing, and everyday in the word and prayer. Don’t blame God or the devil for your troubles. Don’t play the blame game. It started in the garden but it ended on the cross. Jesus said I take responsibility. He became sins for our sins. You don’t have to blame anybody just come under his covering. Jesus loves you.

  55. 8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

The Lord is always wanting us to follow his path. Turn your eyes to the Lord follow him and his word, for he is always here next to us leading us protecting us from evil. The Lord never fails us, he’s our peace. Put all your trust and faith in God

  56. 1 Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

When we cry out to God he answers us and strengthens us with strength in our soul. We might not hear him because we don’t like the answer but he is always answering one way or another. He is all knowing, and he never stops working on us and for us. God teach us to let go and let you have your way in our lives

  57. 3 Set a guard over my mouth, Lord ; keep watch over the door of my lips.

4 Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil so that I take part in wicked deeds along with those who are evildoers; do not let me eat their delicacies.

    Psalms 141:3‭-‬4 NIV
    https://bible.com/bible/111/psa.141.3-4.NIV

Lord let me seek you more and more everyday, Lord let me get closer to you each and every day. Lord keep me safe from any evil. Lord rap me in your arms Lord, never let me go. I want to see k you more and more!
    LIVE GIVE JESUS!

  58. Everything I hear he hears everything I see he sees there is no escaping our father therefore he is my escape from wicked people/ wicked things even wicked itself would want to escape my father’s presence Cause he is holy and above all

  59. 7 Our bones are scattered at the grave’s mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.
8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.
9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

Evil will lie we won’t believe the lie that wicked people have been telling you for God is greater and will punish the evil. God is always with us.

  60. Let the righteous strike me; It shall be a kindness. And let him rebuke me; It shall be as excellent oil; Let my head not refuse it. For still my prayer is against the deeds of the wicked.
    Psalms 141:5 NKJV

It takes a humble man to recieve correction. It takes someone of integrity to want and pray that he may receive it of the righteous as they are his peers, humans, men and women of God. There are many that take on a stand and say that only God can tell them what to do. Yet the word tells us to confess our faults to one another and to pray for each other, and for those that are stronger to help those that are weaker. It takes a humle and meek person to ask for and recieve correction. What a great man the psalmist portrays to be.

  61. 9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

God will always protect you from wicked please, He will punish them for their wickedness.

  62. “O Lord, I am calling to you. Please hurry! Listen when I cry to you for help! Accept my prayer as incense offered to you, and my upraised hands as an evening offering.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭141:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When a child cries out to a parent, the parent hears not only the words but the voice of the cry. The LORD can hear the voice of His people when they cry out to Him, and it moves Him to action.
