Psalm Chapter 12 – Chronological

Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

  1. The word of the Lord is so powerful y’all, i started reading up on how silver and other metals are refined after reading this scripture..
6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
The silver rises to the surface of the semi-liquid slag, or ‘dross’ as it is referred to in the Bible. This was removed, either with a blast of air or a scraper. After all impurities are removed silver will radiate a pure, brilliant light.
The Word of God acts the same way to our soul, it will radiate a pure, brilliant light.
Young in the holy ghost i quickly found this scripture and never looked away from it. Psalms 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
I learned from this scripture early on that there was so much value in the word of GOD that would keep us on track. It wasn’t just a once saved always saved you have to dig in and apply the word to your mind, to your ways, to every action in your life you know why? Cause this word is tried seven time like silver
    This word is Radiant,
    This word is Brilliant,
This word will Cleanse your ways.
    This word will Heal Minds
    This word will Heal bodies
This word will take someone broken and take them right to front door of their salvation and say okay do you wanna live for GOD now or not?
Share the value of this powerful word today please. Show someone this truth…

  2. 3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
David shows us his eathly situation, which appears as if the wicked have dominated his position. This Psalm teaches us to look at the big picture, considering the end result rather the present. What appears as eminent defeat will be avenged by the Lord’s final judgement of the wicked.

  3. 3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
David shows us his eathly situation, which appears as if the wicked have dominated his position. This Psalm teaches us to look at the big picture, considering the end result rather the present. What appears as eminent defeat of David, will be avenged by the Lord’s final judgement of the wicked.

  4. This chapter in the AMP is captioned “God, a Helper against the Treacherous”. The word treacherous: guilty of or involving betrayal or deception. We must be very careful who we listen to as some have an agenda or motive that is deceitful as verse 2 ERV says “People lie to their neighbors. They say whatever they think people want to hear.” Same verse NLT “Neighbors lie to each other, speaking with flattering lips and deceitful hearts.” Instead let us hold onto the promises of God as verse 6 AMP says “The words and promises of the Lord are pure words, Like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times.”

2 Corinthians 1:20 AMP “For as many as are the promises of God, in Christ they are [all answered] “Yes.” So through Him we say our “Amen” to the glory of God.”

  5. Ps.12:6 [ amp] The words and promises of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times over.
Prov.29 : 5 [ amp] Every word of God tried and purified; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him.
As for God his way is perfect !
His word is tested and tried.
God is our Help and Our Shield , For I will trust and lean on him.
Hold on to God word and his promises.
    Live Jesus, Give Jesus.

  6. 2 Neighbors lie to each other, speaking with flattering lips and deceitful hearts.

4 They say, “We will lie to our hearts’ content. Our lips are our own-who can stop us?”

7 Therefore, LORD, we know you will protect the oppressed, preserving them forever from this lying generation,

3 May the LORD cut off their flattering lips and silence their boastful tongues. NLT

    Psalm 120:
3 O deceptive tongue, what will God do to you? How will he increase your punishment?

4 You will be pierced with sharp arrows and burned with glowing coals. NLT

  7. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

No other Name or Word I would ever out my trust or my hope in. Lord, I desire Your Word and Your truth!

  8. Thank you Jesus for today, let’s continue to strive and grow in Christ

Help, O Lord , for the godly are fast disappearing! The faithful have vanished from the earth! Neighbors lie to each other, speaking with flattering lips and deceitful hearts. May the Lord cut off their flattering lips and silence their boastful tongues. They say, “We will lie to our hearts’ content. Our lips are our own—who can stop us?”

  9. 8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

All I can say is that the writer most of read today’s headlines!!! Oh Lord, this world is NOT my home!!!! That’s the first thing we need to learn. We are just passing through!! Everything in this earth is temporary. Yes!! That includes this COVID!!! There is evil on every side. Last week I had a friend text me out of the blue with great news, she was busting of happiness, the main reason she texted me was because she new I would celebrate with her, that I would be happy for her, and that I wouldn’t gossip. She trusted me and that multiplied my JOY!!! This world is so full of double tongues, two face, so called friends, that is hard to recognize a true and honest friend. I saw something on Facebook that made me giggle the sign said Lord I give you my fake friends for the burning sacrifice. Just like my friend, I have those few friends, the ones I called when things go wrong and when things went great. I can count them with one hand. Cultivate a friendship one that is closer than a brother, THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOU AND MY SISTERS AND BROTHERS THAT ARE A TRUE FRIEND TO ME!!!! So beware of wolves in sheep clothing for they’re everywhere.

  10. Psalm 12

1 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

  11. 1 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Never give up hope, your cry for the Lord’s help is not in vain, he will arise and deliver us from evil. God gave us his word that he would not leave us nor forsake us.

  12. 3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

There is coming a time and I believe it has already started that God will begin to expose the fakers. If you are just posing in a position I believe God is going to expose and deal with you quickly. The end time is coming and the ones that are victorious in this time will be the ones who are true and speak the truth.

  13. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

This verse is not just a reflection of the bible, the word of god, but rather each word that the Lord delivers to us whether in correction, direction or projection. Whether God is prophesying to where we are going or speaking into our current situation, the word of God brings life to our situation and it is pure. Sometimes it can be hard to hear but that is why it is like silver tried in the furnace. It requires heat to burn off infirmities to reflect the Masters face. The more we cherish the word of God and understand the context in which it is written the more we understand our situations when God gives us a word.

  14. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
    Flattery Will Get You Nowhere

Over the years, I have come to realize through many different experiences that flattery really doesn’t get you anywhere. I can’t remember ever reading a positive verse on flattery. In fact, throughout history, flattery has always been viewed in a negative light.

One may define flattery as a base companionship which is most advantageous to the flatterer- Theophrastus

The word flattery in the Hebrew is:
    H2505 (Strong)
    חָלַק
    châlaq
    khaw-lak’
A primitive root; to be smooth (figuratively); by implication (as smooth stones were used for lots) to apportion or separate: – deal, distribute, divide, flatter, give, (have, im-) part (-ner), take away a portion, receive, separate self, (be) smooth (-er).

The thing about it is, those who flatter are attempting to divide and conquer. This is what Absalom did. He flattered the people so that he might take the Kingdom.

Conclusion: Watch out for those who flatter you, they probably have a hidden agenda.

  15. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

There are many words out there to use. Not all are trustworthy. But we can trust and depend on the word of the Lord. Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.

  16. Psalms 12
    Message translation
    When God Goes Dumpster Diving

    1. Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

5 Into the hovels of the poor,
Into the dark streets where the homeless groan, God speaks:
“I’ve had enough; I’m on my way
To heal the ache in the heart of the wretched.”

The world is filled with deception and corrupt people. How sad when brethren and sisters begin to deceive one another and they portray something publicly yet are devious in their ways. The word of God says He will turn His back . He will reach for others those who have never known truth those who have nothing . He says he has had it with the faithful who fall away. God will go dumpster diving . Repulsive statement to some But have we the church become so righteous and pious The first verse in this chapter says help Lord for the godly man ceases. Those who have been to the bottom . He is going to reach down into the mess of life and pull people up into high positions in the Kingdom of God . He is going to heal the aching heart that thought there could never be a healing for their life . Talk is cheep but actions portray a world of wealth .
He is healing people who thought their situation was too dirty that they could never amount to anything .
Yes when the Savior reaches down He us not afraid to get His hands dirty . This world needs a touch , a smile from an unmasked face a handshake a hug without fear . Will we show them Jesus or shrug them off and go back to our cheep talk and brush them off once again . Oh what a Savior when He reaches down into the dumpster of life and finds the value of something someone thrown away forgotten

    .Psalms 18:16
He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he pulled me out of deep water.

  17. Psalms 12:2 & 6 (AMP)
    2) They speak deceitful and worthless words to one another; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.

    6) The words and promises of the LORD are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times.

A person who speaks with flattering lips is someone who is sweet-talking you and buttering you up so that they can get what they want out of you. A person who speaks with a double heart is someone who says one thing but means another.
So in other words, everything they say really is a lie.
    BUT GOD, who cannot lie…
    His Word is Pure
His Word has been tried and found to be True
    His Word is Truth
His Word will Never Pass Away
    His Word will Stand Forever
His Word Is Forever Settled In Heaven

Then only Word we can truly believe in is God’s Word!
    Read It
    Study It
    Eat It
    Speak It
    Walk In It
    Live It

  18. 1 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

The psalmist David here describes a time that was also described in 2 Timothy 3:
1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

These things being described by the psalmist in his times are exactly the same things going on in our time. The church needs to wake up and begin to look for the savior that his appearing is closer now than it has ever been. The signs are appearing every where and the prophesies are being fulfilled as I am writing this. We have the opportunity to do some great and mighty works for the kingdom of God, but we have to make a way to get not only our hearts right, but also our minds and bodies. We have to clean out the temple of God which is our bodies and make sure our minds are made up and focused on the kingdom of God. With that we can gain the knowledge and wisdom that we are going to need to over come the enemy of today. Having pride and vanity will only cause our demise, but if we have humility and sincerity we can approach the throne of god in this great time of need and receive the mercy and grace in our time of need. We will have the ability to be strengthened and overcome the great adversity of today. Trust God and not man because God is the only one that can provide us strength, joy, peace, and a greater love than this world can. We must find him now.

  19. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

  20. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

His word never fails: Jesus says his word will judge us. “The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Heb 4:12
His word is wisdom, direction and is uplifting & we must hide it in our hearts!

  21. The word of the Lord is great and the best of the best we can put in our brain. A strong tower for us to read and stay close to God.

  22. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

Thank you Jesus for your word, It brings life to our heart and hope in time of trouble. Your word never fails.

    VALUED WORDS

6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

To GIVE JESUS or even to LIVE JESUS we must possess and understand the words of The LORD. This psalm clarifies and even defines the VALUED WORDS that are eternally recorded for us to LIVE.

There are no words that could be more PURE. There is no hidden agenda, secret mission or deceptive code in the WORD of GOD. This TRUTH should be an attraction to us to draw close to JESUS so we can learn and LIVE out HIS WORD that we may GIVE out HIS WORD to others.

This scripture adds great value to this Daily BIBLE Blog. A PLACE that we can learn and receive PURE WORDS from the LORD “Everyday”.

  24. “The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭12:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This morning as I read this chapter I realized how important the Word of God is in my life. The Word of God will never lie. It’s a Word you can depend on and stand on for a firm foundation. I am so thankful for the Word. It is everything to me.

  25. 1-2 “Quick, God, I need your helping hand! The last decent person just went down, All the friends I depended on gone…” MSG

It is crucial to know when to go to God. The scripture in KJV reads “Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail”. When everything around you seems to stop, and not make sense. You must turn to God. Turn to The Helper! Find your Rock in the hard times.

  26. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

The words of man can be vain and sinful. But the Word of God is pure and holy. It has been tested throughout time and still remains.

If those who do not know Jesus, speak of vanity, let us speak His gospel. If they use impure words, let us speak words of hope and encouragement . If they speak of carnal things, let us speak JESUS!

  27. 1 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

When faithful fail and become unfaithful, we need to cry out to the Lord. Trails and tests come to all. Yet we see where people that have been faithful for years, fail at the last moment, giving in to fear, or disappointment in a situation, or even disappointment that God didn’t answer like they thought. It is so easy at that time, for the enemy to step in and bring thoughts to their mind, they may not even be true fueling the fire for the reason that they became unfaithful.

This is the time for the Church to the the Church and reach out to those whose faith has become so weak that they feel they can’t endure. They need the body to intercede for them, that their faith would increase and they would see hope in God and the situation to pick themselves back up.

    Let’s be the CHURCH

  28. Psalm 12
6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Read His words found in every page of scripture that was penned by influence of the Holy Spirit through all 66 books are true.
and is given to each generations. Praise His name.

  29. 12:5 because of the devastation of the afflicted because of the groaning of the needy
“ Now I will arise” says the Lord.
“ I will place him in the safety for which he longs”.
    —-
    In Jesus name amen.

  30. The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalm 12:6 & 7

Dear Lord, may I walk each day in the truth, found in Your Word. Your Words are the absolute truth and I want to abide by your principles. Thank you Jesus for this day.

  31. “May the Lord cut off their flattering lips and silence their boastful tongues. They say, “We will lie to our hearts’ content. Our lips are our own—who can stop us?” The Lord replies, “I have seen violence done to the helpless, and I have heard the groans of the poor. Now I will rise up to rescue them, as they have longed for me to do.””
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭12:3-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬
David believed that this was God’s word for him. He was one of the poor and needy yearning for safety from these destructive critics and talkers.

  32. “The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭12:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This reminds me of the three Hebrew boys, thrown in the fire seven times hotter than normal. They believed without a shadow of a doubt that His words were true- He is the only God to bow down and worship. No matter what we face, how bad we are talked about, the decision has to be made up in our mind that the Word is true.

I thank God He is a God of wisdom and might, a righteous God who has promised to return for His bride. I pray we stand firm and flat-footed on the Word of God, believing that every promise, every prophecy, every account, every word is true and has value

  33. 1Help, O LORD, for the godly are fast disappearing!
The faithful have vanished from the earth!

Seems like daily, more righteous people are becoming unrighteous. Some look for any excuse to leave the church. More are ignoring God, putting the Bible aside, and not attending any worship services. Don’t allow the enemy to convince you otherwise, but listen to the message of God, and pray daily.

  34. 5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

The word of the Lord will always be truth no matter what, and the promises the Lord makes you will happen, he won’t ever fail his promises to you they just take time. God is the truth he is our one and only the word of the Lord is pure and truth just like him. God created us to make a change to be different than those in worldly and sinful things. God created us to speak truth to those who are lost to help save those, he created us with a pure heart and mind, let us the children of the Lord spread and speak truth, let us save those who need to be saved so they can be reborn and be pure of the heart and mind again.

  35. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words : as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

The righteous find comfort in the pure and valued Word of God.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

2 Samuel 22:31 As for God, his way is perfect ; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

  36. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

The Word says that The Word of God is truth. If it is truth, then anything saying differently is a lie.
Jesus said that His word will never return void. If we would learn to fall in love with Jesus’s Word, and keep it, we would be not only wise, but also live with much more peace in our lives.

  37. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

All the while wickedness is running rampant through the land, Jesus, will preserve us. His Word is pure and every word will accomplish that which he said. He sees all things including the oppression of his people. He will cut off the lips of the liars and the tongue of the proud. The Psalmist understands the manipulation that rulers can have by experience. Instead of turning to God they have found enjoyment in committing evil acts. God will avenge his people and protect them from harm. We can find peace in knowing God holds the victory.

“You will encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated.”
    – Maya Angelou

  38. Psalms 12

This Chapter means that, their will be people (wolves in sheep’s clothing) that will try to preach happy for you and for your pleasures, those people speak falsely lies from the pit of Hell and will try to drag you down with them. But The Lord Our God will destroy their flattering lips and The True Word Of God will reveal It self for those of Wisdom and etc.

  39. “They speak deceitful and worthless words to one another; With flattering lips and a double heart they speak.” ”May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaks great things [in boasting];”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭12:2-3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Our words have value and god wants to hear what we have to say however we must make sure that we are speaking the right things. There is power in your tongue . It can speak life or death.

  40. 8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

When wicked people are in power, they will bring other wicked people with them. Be careful who you hold in high esteem because they could be following the way of the wicked. This is where a relationship with God becomes important. God will give you discernment to know when evil is lurking. Keep a life of prayer and you will be ready to take on the things that come your way.

  41. “The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.”(‭‭Psalm‬ ‭12:6‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

There’s no mistakes in the word of the Lord. The words of the Lord are perfect and true in every word he has spoken. For example, when we are tested through the wilderness and being brought through the furnace by the hand of our Savior by all our impurity’s being cleansed.

  42. Help, O Lord , for the godly are fast disappearing! The faithful have vanished from the earth!
    Psalms 12:1 NLT

You can’t have faith without being faithful. By the dictionary’s definition faith is: allegiance to duty or a person : loyalty. Fidelity to one’s promises, sincerity of intentions, belief and trust in and loyalty to God. The Word of God asks will He find faith in the earth when he returns? And also tells us that becuase of the increase in wickedness the love of many shall wax cold.

This is why we must must stay close. Stay close to Him. Stay close to the purifying fire. Stay close to God. For He who loves God can love others. Yes times can get hard and discouraging at times, and that is when we have to press harder and get closer. We have to stop and look at all He is doing for us. He really does love us. He really cares.
Will you show faith at his return? Will you find yourself to be faithful. Will you be of the ones that have made up their mind and say,”but none of this things move me” or what shall separate us from the love of God?

I have made up my mind.. for in his presence there is fulness of joy and at his right hand pleasures forever more.

  43. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

God’s Word is not lacking substance, depth, nor does it need another word to support or uplift it. The word of God stands alone and will stand the test of time because before time existed His Word was made alive. Even time itself exists because of His spoken word. We must hold fast to His Word and follow His Word because it has it has healing and advancing properties that will develop and nurture us into what He desire and needs in this hour.

  44. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

It’s about trust, do you trust him? If it is true, and it is, we will surrender all in to him and reserve nothing. Nothing is off limits, that purified word, will make things a come to your life

  45. 2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

We have to be ever so careful of every word that comes out of our mouth. No matter who we are we could always offend and tear someone down simply with our words and our opinions. Most of the time our opinions are not even asked for, yet we still give it unsolicited. . . What damage have you and I done simply with with unwanted and unearned words. Words that we like to DISGUISE as “Words of Wisdom.” We must be careful and mindful of what rolls off of our tongue carelessly.

6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

God’s words are pure. . . Can you say the same of words from yourself?? If not you should take a step back and examine yourself. For we will be tried and what do you want to offer the next generation? Would you at her offer a already tried and established relationship or a flat playBig field starting from nothing??

  46. “Please help me, Lord! All who were faithful and all who were loyal have disappeared. Everyone tells lies, and no one is sincere.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭CEV‬‬

This reminds me of a song, but I can’t remember the name or the lyrics, but basically it talks about finding out who your true friends are during hard times. Which is so true, so many people want to be your friend when everything is fine and dandy but what about when hard times hit, who’s gonna come running to have your back without any questions? Also makes me think back to friend day and the verse it was themed around, Proverbs 17:17, a fried loves the at all times. Unfortunately…or maybe fortunately, hard times will show you who really has your back through thick and thin but most importantly when there’s nobody in your corner you know you can always count on God.

“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭15:12-14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Not only does God call us friends so long as we follow his word but he also commands us to love one another the way he loves us. God isn’t flaky, he isn’t a part time friend, he doesn’t love us when it’s convenient, or Ghost is when he’s through with us, so don’t be “that friend” or that “person.” Be genuine in your friendships, be unconditional love, be the person somebody can count on when their world is crumbling all around them.

  47. The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

There is nothing in this life more precious than Your Word, my Lord.

  48. “The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭12:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Lord is holy and his words are pure. God’s word through the prophet, pastor, Bible, prayer, or God speaking to you it’s away the bad things in your life. It is the fire that burns out the extra that we try to hold on to.
