Micah 5
1 Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.
8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
9 Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.
10 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:
11 And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:
12 And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:
13 Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.
14 And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.
15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.

On that day, Church will have been purified. It will no longer trust in horses And chariots or fortified cities. Sorcerers and soothsayers will be abolished. Carved images and sacred pillars pagan shrines will e destroyed. Enemy nation will be destroyed with God’s vengeance.

Because of Grace and this period of time for God has not quickly executing judgment people are failing to realize that he doesn’t play games when it comes to blaspheming his name or dealing in a corrupt manner. On the day of judgment, the Bible tells us that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess who is Lord but they will also see that a just and merciful loving God is still a judge and will deal accordingly
2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
The Lord’s chosen people was a small nation which did not have any particular talents and abilities to set them apart from their counterparts. Likewise we are assured that the Lord can and will put to service anyone of us regardless of our lack of ability. This teaches us that no matter how insignificant the world categorizes us, the Lord is to be given the praise and glory for our salvation and service.
15. I will pour out my vengeance on all the nations that refuse to obey me. NLT
Psalm 33:
12. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
18. Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
22. Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. KJV
Micah 6:14-15 ( Coming Kingdom Prophesied)
And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee; so will I destroy thy cities.
(15) And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.
Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord!
What God requires true worship of his people and they are to do justly, and in love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.
There can be no substitute for true sincerity.
God will not be bought with gifts and bribes included religious pretense dishonestly, ingratitude, and much idolatry.
There was to be certain pushishment for all of these sins.
If God be before than who can be against us!
Live in peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
9 The people of Israel will stand up to their foes, and all their enemies will be wiped out.

God’s Word does not return void. We see this verse played out right now with the war in Israel, but God is faithful and He has established His people.

That’s some pretty heavy stuff coming from the Lord. It’s clear that we serve a jealous God and He will always be an extra mile ahead of everyone and anything else. Seek ye first the Kingdom!

The power of God is shown here for the children of Israel and the defeat over their enemies. There is a Great War coming that is going to be between good and evil and the Lord and all his army will reign victorious over the evil of this world. We have to be prepared for all the battle. Whether or not we end up making it through the battle, we have to hold fast to our faith and our love for Jesus. This is the only way to get to stand with him eternally.
We can not lose hope no matter how bad it gets here in this earth and we do not have to be afraid of any enemy because they do not control our freedom or our destiny. We have not been given the spirit of fear but power, love, and a sound mind. God is not the author of confusion. So we must continue to push forward while there is still time to work.
Gods justice is on its way. What the Lord sees right is what is law.
“I will put an end to all witchcraft, and there will be no more fortune-tellers. I will destroy all your idols and sacred pillars, so you will never again worship the work of your own hands.”

My God is a jealous God. So he will destroy what replaces him first. We should have no idols or any other Gods before him.
If you do not love me I Will destroyI everything you have made.
Micah 5:13, 15 AMP “I will also cut off your carved images And your sacred pillars from among you, So that you will no longer worship and bow down To the work of your hands.
And in anger and wrath I shall execute vengeance On the nations which have not obeyed [such vengeance as they have not known before].
God is a jealous God! He said “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”(Exodus 20:3)
Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone.
The spiritual ties will be severed. And all idols will be thrown out. This is vengeance not revenge. It’s love not hate. This is a needed destruction. This is not passive, which means every loophole will be closed. Take the chance. Change your life while you still have it.

In the midst of His judgement and oppression by their enemies, there is the promise of the redeemer, the Messiah. He will come from Bethlehem and “be great unto the ends of the earth”. Yet vs 1 shows how he will be beaten with the rod. We know many Jews did not accept Jesus as Messiah but we know who he is and are watching for his return.
Micah 5:13-15
[13]I will destroy all your idols and sacred pillars, so you will never again worship the work of your own hands.
[14]I will abolish your idol shrines with their Asherah poles and destroy your pagan cities.
[15]I will pour out my vengeance on all the nations that refuse to obey me.”
Exodus 20:3-5
[3]“You must not have any other god but me.
[4]“You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea.
[5]You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.
15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.
This day will surely come be ready do not be lukewarm or walk in the gray area for He may count you as a heathen. Sin destroys and makes a wedge between you and God do not be fooled just because you see the heathen prosper His destruction is just around the corner. May we all repent daily and keep ourselves holy and accountable to God. In Jesus Name Amen

Isaiah 9:6 tells us that His name shall be called… The Prince of Peace.
Ps. 29:11 says, “… The LORD blesses His people with peace.”
St. John 14: 27 says, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give unto you…”
2 Thess. 3:16 says, “Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means….
Since JESUS is the Prince of Peace, and He gives and blesses His people with Peace, I pray that you will “Let the Peace of God rule in your hearts” (Col. 3:15) today.
I will destroy all your idols and sacred pillars, so you will never again worship the work of your own hands.

What are your hands doing? Who are they working for? We so often think of idols as little figurines, but really it can be anything or anyone we allow ourselves to give attention to. Now is not the time to be laxed in our convictions, we must ask God to search us. We cannot be blind to the wrong in our lives just because we’re comfortable and “it seems to be okay so far.” We must wake up to the truth and get ourselves in line with the Word of God or we risk hearing, “depart, I knew you not…” then it really will be too late.

Judge of Israel, who will be smitten with a rod upon the cheek, is not a reference to the humiliation of Jesus. The reference is to the deportation of Israel’s rulers, perhaps
especially King Zedekiah, and to his shameful treatment at the hands of Babylon.
Micah 5
The greatest prophecy ever.
2 But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah,
who are too little to be among the clans of Judah,
from you shall come forth for me
one who is to be ruler in Israel,
whose coming forth is from of old,
O little town of Bethlehem……..
You are too little to play . Recall as a child that statement. What a feeling of being left out .
Even as adults you see groups of people going to do things and there comes that familiar feeling now you might not be too little to play ;but too old , or too weak or you just don’t fit in . Misfits.
Yet God decided that this very insignificant place was become one of the greatest known places all over the world. The birth place of Jesus Christ. We may wonder sometime why was Jesus born in a place that had no recognition and amongst cattle and laid in a place that the animals ate their food from.
Could it be that He was making a proclamation to the world that He was still in charge. Micah has just prophesied that though Bethlehem is too small to join up with Judah ‘s clans there will be an event that will change the entire world. Something great from Bethlehem. O little town of Bethlehem you are about to be used , though too small and maybe a misfit God chooses this place for the birth of Jesus Christ!
It does not matter if you are too “whatever” God takes the most insignificant and uses them for His Glory . The rest of this chapter reveals the grandeur of truly what will be displayed Jesus Christ will reign , will rule . Too small to play . Not in God’s eyes. So the next time you here that statement you are to small to play or whatever statement or actions causes you to feel left out , God possibly has a bigger assignment in mind . Little is much when God is in it.

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Don’t underestimate what God wants you to do .
In a small town sits a pastor on the steps of his home late one night . The visiting evangelist has taken a walk in the middle of the night and noticed the pastor sitting there with his head bowed down . Bring friends he approached and asked what seemed to be troubling his pastor friend. The pastor looked up with tears in his eyes and said he had a burden fir the foreign field and truly wanted to be a missionary. The Eva get asked why he had not pursued that calling. His reply who me ; I’m just a no body that no one truly knows , ( too little to be a part of that clan ) ….
Oh Little Town of Bethlehem, Awe with prayer and encouragement and a reassurance that God uses whom He pleases this young pastor today after over 30 years is still a missionary and his family also has followed in the calling. From the back porch in a small town God raised up a work for the Kingdom.
Little is much when God is in it !

Such a godless nation that we read about today, and the impending judgement that is to come. Yet in the words that leap off the page, I find our current world. Doing there own thing, not willing to part with their manmade idols, pleasures of this world. Yes, there is coming a day when God will wipe all that away, and every knee WILL bow in praise and adoration to the ONE true, living GOD.
We must not allow “things” to take over our life, but place our life in His hands. HIs ways are higher than ours, and better than ours, and will keep us from a destructive judgement.
This chapter in Micah is full of gems. 2 But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah,

The coming messiah.

Obedience is better than sacrifice. This is what causes joy and gladness to “be of full measure and complete and overflowing.”
If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and live on in His love. I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing. This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you. No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends. You are My friends if you keep on doing the things which I command you to do. (John 15:10-14 AMP)

The MESSAGE that makes everyone nervous is about judgement. I am guilty, I preach more about the goodness and blessing of GOD than of the judgement of GOD.
The judgement of GOD is as real as the blessing of GOD. This verse should challenge and inspire us to tell and teach everyone about JESUS. GOD will repay every wrong with HIS judgement and we must LIVE JESUS so that we are not on the receiving side of that judgement.

This is Jesus y’all! He came from “everlasting”. In fact, he is not the everlasting son but he is the “Everlasting Father”. We all know Isaiah 9:6 calls Jesus the Everlasting Father and here the prophecy declares the one from everlasting would be ruler in Israel. WOW

God is good but the wrath of God!!!! This world is in so much turmoil. Keep the faith, Keep going for Jesus!!
“The godly can look forward to a reward, while the wicked can expect only judgment.”
Proverbs 11:23 NLT
Google define “godly” as devoutly religious.
Dictionary defines it as conforming to the laws and wishes of God; devout.
And “devout” defined as totally committed.
When we totally commit and Live & Give Jesus, we won’t be weighed down with the unknowns of the future or what is to come. We know that obedience is better than sacrifice. We believe in His Word, and Will.
We read in Micah 5 the promises of what to come, so why be worried with the what to comes. Instead focus on living and giving Jesus now.
“And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.”

The feeding here, is speaking of feeding on the Word of the Lord. No one can take the believers away from Jesus.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
John 5:24 KJV

God can do great things with small numbers. Many times the children of Israel did not have to worry about how many they had to fight because God was then. Being on the Lord’s side is a guaranteed victory if we can follow what God tells us to do. The enemy is aware of this and afraid when you realize the power that our God has. So, be not weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.

Take a break from all the plans that you have made

Our god is a jealous god. When we do things that are not of him this does not sit well with him. He loves his children and wants to protect us because he loves us. This judgement may not feel good but he loves us. Be thankful that he is a jealous god and wants to protect his own.

When everything in this world is gone, who will we stand on? As believers, we are blessed to have the name of Jesus. He is our strong tower, our rock, our lion of Judah. Yet there are some out there who don’t know the power in His name. As the Church we are here to reach the lost. Let us go forth and prosper!
““The day is coming” —God’s Decree— “When there will be no more war. None. I’ll slaughter your war horses and demolish your chariots. I’ll dismantle military posts and level your fortifications. I’ll abolish your religious black markets, your underworld traffic in black magic. I will smash your carved and cast gods and chop down your phallic posts. The GOD that answers by fire 🔥 is in control of all nations! The people of GOD will the kingdom of the enemy come to ruin. With all this false culture movement, homosexuality… I want to say more but either way…the True church of GOD will over come against all wickedness! Jesus has already overcome and given us the victory. Don’t trust man, false teachings, the economy etc. Put your trust in the ONE TRUE LIVING GOD.
“Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; He will hear him from his holy heaven With the saving strength of his right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”

Jesus is coming! Reach out before its too late. God wrath will fall. We people can not stand against his wrath. Teach and spread the word of God for his second coming.

We must always stay strong and not be feared against our enemies. Our enemies will always try to bring us down but we must not let it! Stay strong and with God all of your life for he knows the way! I pray tonight that you follow Christ’s plan for your life!

The Lord is coming back for his children, during that time all evil all sinful will not rise they will be set below, nothing good comes from living the sinful life. I pray tonight that we are all checking our hearts, checking where we are at with the Lord. I hope that we are all living for God full heartedly and doing his works and obeying him. God will come and take his faithful children we will rise in victory while all evil fails.
1 Mobilize! Marshal your troops! The enemy is laying siege to Jerusalem. They will strike Israel’s leader
in the face with a rod.
We should always be ready to go when called upon. In military, everyone had their mobility bag with uniforms and personnel hygiene equipment. We get recalled or deployed somewhere, grab your bag and out the door you went. You had no time to shower, shave or breakfast, report for duty.
Spiritually, always have your bible by you, you never know when you’ll need to witness to someone. Don’t get caught off guard, and be ready for duty.
Micah Chapter 5
2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Let us do some history concerning Bethlehem.
Do we know what town Naomi settled in to raise her two sons? Her Husband was Elimelech. They were Ephrathites from Bethlehem in the land of Judah. The tribe of Ephraim.
Ruth 1:2 The man’s name was Elimelech, and his wife was Naomi. Their two sons were Mahlon and Kilion. They were Ephrathites from Bethlehem in the land of Judah. And when they reached Moab, they settled there.
Ruth 1:3 Then Elimelech died, and Naomi was left with her two sons.
Ruth 1:4-5 The two sons married Moabite women. One married a woman named Orpah, and the other a woman named Ruth. But about ten years later, both Mahlon and Kilion died. This left Naomi alone, without her two sons or her husband.
Ruth 1:8 But on the way, Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go back to your mothers’ homes. And may the LORD reward you for your kindness to your husbands and to me.
One daughter-in-law staid with Naomi. Ruth 1:16 Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.
Let us fast forward to Boaz, the relative of her father-in-law, Elimelech. He would become Ruth’s Husband. Ruth 4:11 Then the elders and all the people standing in the gate replied, “We are witnesses! May the LORD make this woman who is coming into your home like Rachel and Leah, from whom all the nation of Israel descended! May you prosper in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem.
She became with child and the baby’s name was called obed. Ruth 4:17 The neighbor women said, “Now at last Naomi has a son again!” And they named him Obed. He became the father of Jesse and the grandfather of David. Now Ruth is in the linage of Jesus for she became the grand mother of King David.
That is one of the reasons Jesus was born in Bethlehem because of the linage.
Luke 2:1 ¶ And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
Luke 2:3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
Luke 2:4 ¶ And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
The second reason was that the sacrificial lamb was for the sins of the nation of Israel come out of Bethlehem. Jesus was to be come the Lamb that was slain. The redeemer of all people for He died for all.
“The people of Israel will stand up to their foes, and all their enemies will be wiped out.”

Let there be a boldness that will arise to speak faith with authority over fear. In Lord side there’s victory and there’s more fighting for us than against us. Bless are those who’s trust are in the Lord for He will never fail us and there giant to tall and problem to hard for God He is able to all thing.

We cannot do anything without the Lord. His grace his mercy, his blessings. On our own we can only go a small distance. Yet because of Him we can finish the course. We cannot try to be Christians without God. This walk requires supernatural strength wisdom and guidance.
Got is a jealous God! There is no god beside him. If he sees that we won’t give him the attention he needs he will clear the playing field to show who is really in charge.
10 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:
11 And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:
12 And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:
13 Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.
14 And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.
15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.
There only so much time he has mercy for those who do not choose to serve him.. He is a jealous God.
There is always enough
7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.
Sometimes we feel like we are at the end of our rope and there is nothing left but God always leaves a remnant for us to latch on to. God takes away enough to get our attention but leaves impugn for us to pull through. When we are in a bind, it’s not time to quit, we must ask God what the lesson is he’s trying to teach. What is he wanting from us? You know it’s God when he leaves the remnant.

I don’t understand what people do not understand?? Don’t make God upset! Do not test God, because time and time again in His Word it speaks of instances of him cutting people off, cutting circumstances off, and putting obstacles in place if He is upset enough!! Why would you feel the need to test Him with your own ideologies, especially when He made you!! Why would He give you a new theory to life??!? He wouldn’t!!
Verse 9 ERV “You will lift your hand against your enemies, and you will destroy them.” We have to remember that God is on our side, even when the enemy is trying to distract us.
Psalm 118:6-9 AMP “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can [mere] man do to me? The Lord is on my side, He is among those who help me; Therefore I will look [in triumph] on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in princes.

It would be better to turn from iniquity before the anger and fury of God is poured out upon your life. God is seeking a people to worship and serve Him in spirit and in truth. He doesn’t want us to come to Him perfect because none of us are perfect. Yet His expectation is that we learn His word and His voice and when He speaks we obey.

There will come a day where we all face judgement. Until then, we must work to reach souls, because most of us were at least one of these, but Jesus saw us in our filth and reached for us. Until He comes back, there is time for many more to come to repentance and to be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost.

The work of our hands…. not even the work of our hands is ours!!! Everything that hath breath is privileged to praise The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!!! IN EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS!!! Sometimes we forget to whom we should give glory and Sometimes we don’t even pay attention to whom all glory is due!!! We accumulate little gods unawares!!!

This is exactly what statues of saints and apostles is. It is the worship of the work of our hands. We want our gods to do and be what we want.
Because God can not be manipulated we make our own. This is why this practice is so offensive to God. Then we want to be God and like the devil usurp his power and authority.
