Matthew 3

In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

  1. 4 And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

He had locusts and wild 🍯…..we are so blessed…..or was he more blesses? We could say we are more blesses because we eat what we want…but he could say he is more blessed because he ate organic literally …… either way, we both are blessed, both of us had and have our needs met!!! GOD IS AN ON TIME GOD!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  2. 10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

God is a righteous judge. The Lord provided the ministry of John the Baptist to proclaim the Gospel to those in the wilderness, which did not have the opportunity the towns folk had of hearing the new about the coming of Jesus. One must repent from sin before God can wotk in their life.

  3. 12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

  4. Verses 8-10 AMP “So produce fruit that is consistent with repentance [demonstrating new behavior that proves a change of heart, and a conscious decision to turn away from sin]; and do not presume to say to yourselves [as a defense], ‘We have Abraham for our father [so our inheritance assures us of salvation]’; for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children (descendants) for Abraham. And already the axe [of God’s judgment] is [g]swinging toward the root of the trees; therefore every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”

Same verses VOICE “If you think that simply hopping in the Jordan will cleanse you, then you are sorely mistaken. Your life must bear the fruits of turning toward righteousness. Nor are you correct if you think that being descended from Abraham is enough to make you holy and right with God. Yes, the children of Abraham are God’s chosen children, but God can adopt as daughters and sons anyone He likes—He can turn these stones into sons if He likes.

To be made right with God, one must truly repent. It means to turn completely away from sin and completely toward God.

Even now there is an ax poised at the root of every tree, and every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and tossed into the fire.” Be GREATER!

  5. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

    Hallelujah!
    Thank You JESUS!!!

  6. 1. In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

    5. Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

Oh, how the times have changed!
Then, they walked out into the wilderness to hear preaching; now, folks don’t want to drive a few minutes to a comfortable church building!

  7. Matt. 3: 16 ( amp) And when Jesus was baptized He went up at once out of the water, and behold, the heavens were opened, and he ( John) saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him.
Wasn’t you repent , and Been -Born Again, your life will be changed, and you will want to do what pleases God.
    Holy Ghost will guide you.
    Thank you for saving Me.

  8. But John tried to talk him out of it. “I am the one who needs to be baptized by you,” he said, “so why are you coming to me?” But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.” So John agreed to baptize him.
    Matthew 3:14‭-‬15 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.3.14-15.NLT

God has a perfect and beautiful plan for each of us. It all starts with repentance and baptism in His Name. God came down and robed Himself in flesh to not only bridge the gap between us and Him (caused by sin) but to also be the example of what our flesh and soul needs to do to be saved! You lead us in everything, Lord! We’re so grateful!!

  9. But when he saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to watch him baptize, he denounced them. “You brood of snakes!” he exclaimed. “Who warned you to flee the coming wrath?
    Matthew 3:7 NLT
Even now the ax of God’s judgment is poised, ready to sever the roots of the trees. Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire.
    Matthew 3:10 NLT

God expects us to live a life of repentance and to produce fruit. It’s more than just going to church, it is being an active part of God’s body and yielding fruit for his kingdom.

  10. 2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Daily we need to repent of our sins even if we think we haven’t any.

  11. And lo a voice from heaven saying
“ this is my beloved in whom I am well pleased.
    ——
It is my desire for the Lord to always express himself
And say the same thing about me.
Yes I am stubborn at times
Yes, I do things that are not right in his sight
    Yes, yes, yes….
Forgive Lord and cleanse me of all unrighteousness
    🙏.
    Hallelujah
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  12. The Wilderness Experience – Matthew 3:1

Moses was called by God from the burning bush while he was in the wilderness. Elijah received encouragement from God while spending 40 days in the wilderness. The children of Israel spent 40 years in the wilderness – unlearning the influence from Egypt (sin). David spent time in the wilderness hiding from Saul. Even Jesus, Himself spent 40 days in the wilderness being tempted. Here we find John is preaching in the wilderness.

Could it be, God placed within John the need to be different from all other preachers in the day? He lived in the wilderness, ate, and clothed himself there. All that he needed was provided from the wilderness. What kind of ministry should he expect in a place where people are scarce? People lived in towns and cities, not out in the woods with the wild things. I believe John was a preacher for those experiencing a wilderness time in their lives.

Those who are in the wilderness need special care. Unproductiveness stares us down in the wilderness. We can see into our soul. When we go to into the painful stillness where we are utterly alone with God, our eyes behold with clarity the true nature of our heart. The true identity of who we are is revealed during a wilderness experience. Our motivations, desires, wants and needs.

We must also deal with the monsters of our sins. Here, in the wilderness is where the pride of life is absent and we can confess what we see within ourselves. I have lived as if God did not matter and as if I mattered most. My Lord’s name I have not honored as I should; my worship and prayers have faltered. I have not let His love have its way with me, and so my love for others has failed. There are those whom I have hurt, and those whom I failed to help. My thoughts and desires have been stained with sin.

We cold likely get angry with a wilderness preacher such as John. Someone who leads us to places we do not want to go. “Who are you, John?” The world wants to know. He answers, “I am not the Christ”. “What then, are you Elijah?” “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” “No.” “what do you have to say about yourself?”

I believe he is the voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord.”
The wilderness is a place away from civilization where civilized sinners are all too easily fooled by the enemy into believing his lies. A place where we are easily tricked into believing that our job is our life, our family is our life, our possessions are our life. A place where death is disguised as life, where the person who is “living it up” has made pleasure into a god, where the person who is said to have lived a “full life” may never have known who Jesus is, where “real life” has nothing to do with God but just getting by in a dog-eat-dog world. A place where people think they have civilized sin, but where, in fact, sin has transformed them into savages at heart.

The wilderness displays how comfortable we’ve become with our love of wealth, how adept we are at blaming others for our shortcoming, how easy we are on ourselves.

  13. GREATER
    GREATER IS HERE

11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

John recognized his role as forerunner or announcer. His description of JESUS as “mightier than I” led me to GREATER. While this announcement was a temporary position of Kingdom authority. Now a fulfilled prophesy of GREATER IS HERE. The Living Bible translation says it clearly.

    TLB
11 “With water[f] I baptize those who repent of their sins; but someone else is coming, far greater than I am, so great that I am not worthy to carry his shoes! He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit* and with fire.

GREATER IS HERE, far GREATER and we have immediate access to HIM. Every time I am filled with the Holy Ghost and am speaking with tongues the GREATER ONE is in me, praying, washing, renewing, cleansing, empowering, revealing, directing and fulfilling. Pray in the SPIRIT today and be filled with the GREATER IS HERE.

  14. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

The wonderful Holy Ghost how marvelous to be baptized in Jesus name.

  15. 2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

The word Repent is an action word. John preaching was to tell his listeners to make a change of mind, to turn away from sin.

Feeling sorry for our sins is good, but feelings is not and action word. So when we feel sorry we must understand that repentance must take place, in another words we must take action to stop doing what is causing us to sin., turn away, repentance speaks of a change of directions not a sorrow in our hearts.

Two different things between feeling sorry and repentance and we must discern in our hearts which one of these two things we are acting upon when we come before the Lord.

When we feel sorry for our sin, we are taking a chance to continue to repeat the same sin over and over and still feel sorry. But when we truly repent that means we STOP what we are doing, turn away from it, take action. That’s when we know repentance has truly taken place.

  16. The Kingdom of God is GREATER
In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea

I don’t reckon I’ve really thought about this scripture much. John preached in the wilderness of Judaea… Ok, most read it and go on with the rest of the Chapter. But this morning it caught my attention and I’m not sure why. So I googled “wilderness of Judea”.

This wilderness is a vast…huge wasteland. The Jordan River runs through it and this is where John the Baptist was baptizing. The commentary I read said folks stayed out of the wilderness and the only reason they went to the wilderness was to pass through it to get to where they were going.

So here we have John setting up camp in the wilderness. A place where there were not many people…and yet all the sudden we have masses of people coming out to see him. Verse 5, “Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan”

Why did the people of Jerusalem, Judah, and the surrounding regions go out of their way and go into a hostile environment and go into the wilderness? Because something stirred their hearts to hear the Word and get baptized. The same can happen today. Folks will soon get a hunger in their hearts and make their way to the Pentecostals of Fort Worth. All we need to do is invite them.

  17. 3 In those days [a]John the Baptist appeared, preaching in the Wilderness of Judea [along the western side of the Dead Sea] and saying, 2 “[b]Repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life], for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” 3 This is the one who was mentioned by the prophet Isaiah when he said,

True repentance is a turning about face, changing your direction, never doing that thing again that you are repenting of. In many repentance becomes a “common action” for things that people want to do, and will just repent later. This scripture says, regret past sins, and live your life in a way that proves repentance.

Repentance isn’t proved if we continue to do the same thing over and over again, and expect forgiveness, whether it is for sin to God or for something done to someone.

True repentance is turning away from that thing and meaning what you say when you say.

Lord baptize us with a fresh repentance that we mean with everything inside of us so that we can walk a live proof of that repentance.

  18. “When John realized that a lot of Pharisees and Sadducees were showing up for a baptismal experience because it was becoming the popular thing to do, he exploded: “Brood of snakes! What do you think you’re doing slithering down here to the river? Do you think a little water on your snakeskins is going to make any difference? It’s your life that must change, not your skin! And don’t think you can pull rank by claiming Abraham as father. Being a descendant of Abraham is neither here nor there. Descendants of Abraham are a dime a dozen. What counts is your life. Is it green and flourishing? Because if it’s deadwood, it goes on the fire.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:7-10‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I was talking with my sister about this the other day.
There are people that get baptized for every reason but the right reason. YOu should wanna change, you should wanna strive to live better and do better acts and works. You cant just think a little water on your skin is gonna make your mind change all on its own. Being submerge under that water is a washing away of your sins and you’re made a new creature in Christ but the next part is all on you. You gotta walk the other direction when you step out of that water.

  19. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER!what a great time in the Lord last night! I love the presence I feel. I also felt a real drawing to the alter to pray and pray some more.

  20. Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

It is still time NOW to repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
The coming of the lord is nearer than before , the good news is still available and we must spread it ASAP!

  21. 7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

John has already told them not to expect to be spared merely because they are descended from Abraham. God will always keep His promises to Israel, but He is not bound to spare every Israelite from His wrath. Those who do not bear good fruit—by leading holy, faithful lives—will be pruned from the tree. They will be cut down and thrown into the fire as dead branches from a tree are removed and used for fuel.

  22. 2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
4 And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,
6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

They heard about what John was preaching, the scriptures he referred to and came out to be baptized. It was spread by word of mouth until there were crowds of people there willing to obey scriptures. God drew them then and will do it again in our day! We will see greater revival today as God draws and we invite and teach. I believe our sons and daughters will be coming home to this truth. God is able to do exceeding abundantly more than we can ask or think!

  23. Greater
    Witnesses of the Lamb
v16 “ the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.”

John bare record …reveals the divinity of Jesus and the purpose of His ministry.
The purpose of that baptism is that we might become faithful witnesses of His eternal power and the Godhead.
I’m so thankful His blood covers those who have been baptized into Christ by the water and the Spirit.
By believing and obeying we are set from the power of sin and death.

  24. St. Matthew 3:1-2, 5-6, & 11 (NLT)
    1) In those days John the Baptist came to the Judean wilderness and began preaching. His message was,
    2) Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.

    5) People from Jerusalem and from all of Judea and all over the Jordan Valley went out to see and hear John.
    6) And when they confessed their sins, he Baptized them in the Jordan River.

    11) I Baptize with water those who Repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is GREATER than I am — So Much GREATER that I’m not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will Baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with Fire.

The same message that John preached back then is the same message we should be preaching today to others. REPENT of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near. CONFESS your sins, and be BAPTIZED in JESUS name, and HE – who is GREATER – So Much GREATER will BAPTIZE you with the HOLY GHOST and FIRE!!

Thank You JESUS for the message of Salvation!!

  25. The Living Bible
    vs-3
Then John went from place to place on both sides of the Jordan River, preaching that people should be baptized to show to show that they had turned to God and away from their sins, in order to be forgiven.
When John began to utter his prophetic call to repentance. His message is important the Messiah is about to appear, the people must turn to God now before it is to late. Look at your own life before and after Christ. There surely will be changes you have made.Or should make now!

  26. 9Don’t just say to each other, ‘We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones.

Your grandparents, parents, or relatives can save you. Even if you come from a family of evangelists or pastors, your not save. Everyone makes their own decision to be saved. You are only safe when you repent, be baptized and recieve the Holy Spirit.

  27. 1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

We have the same calling to go and prepare the way for God to reach souls. Share the gospel, share Jesus, and lead hungry souls to Him!

  28. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

When we go down into the water to be baptised, we are releasing our sins that we repented of, it is when we raise up again that we are filled with the Holy Ghost of fire. John was used to bring this message to the people, he knew he wasn’t worthy to baptized Jesus but it was Jesus who was worthy and knew that He had to lead the people to do what they needed to do to be saved. He showed them by having John baptize Him.
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Jesus , the beloved Son, yet God in flesh gave evidence of how to be pleasing to the Lord.

My daily pray is, Lord be pleased with me, help guide my path to follow you. May I be an example to others and pleasing unto you.

  29. Matthew 3:2
“Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

The kingdom of Heaven is near. Jesus I pray for all the lost souls. I pray that they come to know you and your gospel. He is merciful, wonderful and he loves us. Thank you Jesus

    Outreach- Saturday at 9:45am
Let’s reach the lost and take our city back. Invite people to church.

We are taking the kingdom by force. We are taking back the kingdom with a shield of faith and a sword in our hand. The devil is under our feet. We are putting the devil back where he belongs..We are mighty warriors. Marching and moving across this land. We are more than conquerors and we are taking back whats  ours.

    John 14:6
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

  30. “and think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s sad to see that many that have been born again of the water and of the spirit would think that they came to obey just for a second and we now no longer see or hear of them anymore.
The Pharisees had this same mind set. Way to many have been deceived. Jesus help us to die daily and realize that living for you is not just for that moment.

“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  31. 8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

John preached sincere repentance and baptism. This baptism was a temporary baptism until Jesus was resurrected and then the people would be baptized in Jesus name and receive the Holy Ghost.

  32. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

John knew that Jesus didnt need to be baptized but he was doing it in way to leave an example. John knew that when Jesus asked him to baptize him he was already perfect.

  33. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

I never realized how important baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit is until I experienced it at POWF and learned about the difference in just doing it because of tradition and actually feeling and receiving the Spirit. Jesus saw the Spirit of God after being baptized so it is extremely important to teach and tell others of the importance of baptism especially our children.

  34. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

In order for others to get baptized and to follow God he had to be the one to get baptized first, we need to be the same example for the ones around us. We need to be leading at all times.

  35. 14-15 “But John tried to talk him out of it. “I am the one who needs to be baptized by you,” he said, “so why are you coming to me?” But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.” So John agreed to baptize him.” NLT

It’s easy to think we are the only ones that question God…although understanding there is a blessing in simple obedience. WE all are tempted with doubt, confusion, and misinterpretation.

We mustn’t allow a prideful attitude behind confusion to defile the blessing at hand. If we are being called to do something/anything for the Kingdom – JESUS is trusting us to do so. Trust Him, Love Him, and practice simple obedience.

  36. The WIlderness of Judaea

1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

    Judaea: “he shall be praised”

We often talk about the importance of praising in the wilderness because it is there we need to establish the throne of God in an effort to see His kingdom come and will be done.

John the Baptist proclaimed repentance in the “wilderness of Judea” a place that should have already been inhabited with praises unto God. Because it was not it was time to repent and fix themselves because the one who brings salvation was about to make an appearance.

It brings me joy to know that we will all have wilderness experiences in our lives BUT GOD will send a John the Baptist to help remind us to praise Him because Help is on the way!

  37. 7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

He challenged them to prove their sincerity by bearing fruits worthy of repentance. True repentance as “ Amounts to nothing whatever if it produces only a few tears, a spasm of regret, a little fright. We must leave the sins we repent of and walk in the new, clean ways of holiness. “

    A.L.M.A.S.

  38. ““Repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life], for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.””
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

John the Baptist had boldness. He was out preaching the way of the lord. Telling everyone what they must do. We need to have a boldness that it doesn’t matter what other may think or say. We have to have that boldness to reach those lost hurting souls. we have to be the light in this dark world and lead people to Christ, even if that means we will have to tell it how it is. No more sugar coating it. Time to rise up and be bold! Lead others to Christ.

  39. Pro 28:13  He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy

We all must learn how to forgive and forget. It’s not an easy task by any means, but it is necessary

  40. Matt 3
“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

John knew that someone GREATER was coming after him. It amazes me that John didn’t waver in the message. He stood his ground in the message and told everyone. He didn’t have a team he was the light in a dark world.

  41. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

What a mighty God we serve. Only he can baptize us with the Holy Ghost and fire. By his spirit is the only way we can be saved. God is looking for a people who is not afraid to serve him no matter what they are going through.

  42. 1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

The same message rings true to this very day! Singing out as a message to all people, Repent, repent of your sins, because Heaven is so close, closer than it’s ever been. Prophets and preachers screaming out in a void to anyone that will listen to prepare their hearts and theirs spirits!! Be sure to stay on the straight and narrow.

  43. “I baptize with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I’m not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When we are baptized in Jesus name… he renews us he cleanses us and he fills us with his spirit and fire just like it said in his word. I pray tonight that when you make that decision to give yourself to God, that you are willing to do anything for God no matter how much you have to sacrifice. God gave everything for you, why can’t we do the same?

  44. 10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

What if this happened to people…. If one wasn’t bearing good fruit, one got cast into the fire? Essentially if you aren’t walking with Christ, that will happen to you eternally. Make up your mind today for GREATER. Turn away from your sins, and start walking with Jesus!

  45. Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

You want people to follow, then you must be the first one to take the lead. Lead by example and and be the first one.
