Acts 19

And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.

Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

And all the men were about twelve.

And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

21 After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

22 So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.

23 And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.

24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;

25 Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth.

26 Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:

27 So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.

28 And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

29 And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

30 And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.

31 And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.

32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.

33 And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.

34 But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

35 And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

36 Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.

37 For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.

38 Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them implead one another.

39 But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.

40 For we are in danger to be called in question for this day’s uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.

41 And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

  1. But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?”
Acts of the Apostles 19:15 NLT

Walking with the authority and the power of Jesus Christ can be a very dangerous thing if someone does not have an intimate relationship with Christ. It’s not enough to try to indulge into the works of the spirit if there is no intimacy involved. The fruit of the spirit bears witness in all of us who and what we know, and as we are reaching for souls, it is imperative that our relationship with Christ continues to evolve and grow

  2. 11-12 NLT “God gave Paul the power to perform unusual miracles. When handkerchiefs or aprons that had merely touched his skin were placed on sick people, they were healed of their diseases, and evil spirits were expelled.”
    ‭‭
This goes to show GOD can use whatever pleases Him to show HIS power. First GOD used Paul then parts of his clothes to preform miracles. Any thing is possible with GOD.

  3. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER! 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Believe on the lord Jesus and be baptized in his name and receive the precious gift of the Holy Ghost , speak with tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance and prophesy. Thank you Jesus for the holy ghost and for the guidance it gives us!

  4. 13. Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

    14. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

    15. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

You can’t get to Heaven on someone else’s relationship or Holy Spirit, and you can’t operate on someone else’s relationship to cast out evil spirits.
It’s not what someone else preaches that gives you authority – it’s what you Live • Give.

  5. 8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

Wherever we go we should be telling people about the goodness of God and His mercy towards us.

  6. 20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
    *******************
POFW and other churches that teach the truth, will spread the word of God and it will prevail. So many are hungry and they don’t even know what it is that will fill them. God is the only way and as believers it is our responsibility to give them what they need. Sometimes we have to feed the body first before feeding the soul and give them a helping hand before we can get through to the spirit. As Paul did many times, healing and touching those in need, showing God’s love is all that is needed by some, not a hand out but a hand up for others. Making a difference in the life of the downtrodden or hopelessness of the forgotten, can bring a person to Christ faster than spouting off verses without love, Jesus is love and as followers of Christ we too must show love.

  7. Acts of the Apostles 19:2-5
[2]“Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” he asked them.“No,” they replied, “we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
[3]“Then what baptism did you experience?” he asked. And they replied, “The baptism of John.”
[4]Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.”
[5]As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Thank you Jesus baptism and the Holy Ghost. There is power, peace and healing.

  8. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

There is only one God which is Jesus. Believing in Jesus, repentance, and baptism in the name of Jesus, are the first steps upon the Christain journey.

  9. “And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. Sometimes crazy stuff like this will happen so the faith of the people will rise. Jesus don’t wanna leave anyone out and I believe anything could happen to get the attention of the people so be ready to help people pray

  10. The Living Bible
    vs-2. When you believed

As Paul became acquainted with the disciples, at Ephesus it became clear something was lacking. His question about receiveing the Holy Spirit shows that Paul expected any true believer to have received the Spirit on conversion. His discovery that they knew only Johns baptism explained everything. Like Apollo’s, they knew the Messiah was coming. They just didn’t know He had arrived!

  11. 13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

Paul had relationship with Jesus and thus was able to do the signs, wonders and miracles that Jesus himself did. These men had no relationship with Jesus, yet tried to have the same power and authority as Paul, which proved to be no authority at all.

No prayer – No Power. No relationship – No miracles. We can’t have the walk with God like these disciples without the life of discipline that the disciples had.

  12. GREATER
    THE PATH TO GREATER

18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.
19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

The carnal mind complicates FAITH. Often simply because we do not understand something, we struggle to believe it and therefore are challenged to confess it. BUT these are the exact steps that establish THE PATH TO GREATER things in The Kingdom of GOD.

    1. BELEIVE – Make steps toward JESUS
    2. CONFESS – Confess our sins and faults to JESUS
    3. REPENT – Show the deeds, dont hide or conceal anything
    4. GREATER – The WORD of GOD grew and prevailed mightily

We witness this PATH in the first part of chapter 19:

2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

Kingdom experiences always hinge on Kingdom birth. This is our greatest evangelism approach.

Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?

Appraoch someone this week with this question.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iLive
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo
    iBlessYouInTheNameOfTheLordJESUS
iSee a REVIVAL and HARVEST building that is GREATER than anything I have ever seen coming to The POFW.

  13. 32Inside, the people were all shouting, some one thing and some another. Everything was in confusion. In fact, most of them didn’t even know why they were there.

Many will jump on the bandwagon without even knowing why. If you gonna support something at least know the facts. We know God, so let’s jump on the Jesus Bandwagon, and serve in his Kingdom.

  14. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

I have come to the conclusion that the reason the evil spirit did not know them was because the name of Jesus was not applied on them!!! You see, once you have been baptized in the Name of Jesus and His Holy Blood has been applied in your life, you take on His Name!!! When the Holy Ghost has been given with the evidence of speaking in tongues you have been BRANDED!!! You belong to JESUS!!! There is no one else I rather belong to but to HIM!!! Don’t wait until is too late, SALVATION IS HERE!!! NOW!!! Tomorrow is not promised for James 4: 14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

  15. 18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.
19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

They saw that the power of God was greater than the power of the spirits they used in divination and withcraft. In repentance they brought their books and tools of their trade to be burned. This example shows a true turn around.

  16. Acts 19:2-6
    2) He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
    3) And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
    4) Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
    5) When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
    6) And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Verse 2 describes me when I first came to a Pentecostal church. I had heard of God, and I had heard of Jesus, but I never heard of the Holy Ghost. The first night I came to a Pentecostal church the Preacher was preaching about Repentance, Baptism in Jesus Name, and the gift of the Holy Ghost. So thankful that the Preacher was preaching on the Plan of Salvation, and I heard and received the Word.
NOW it is TIME for me to teach others about the Plan of Salvation – Repentance, Baptism in Jesus name, and the gift of the Holy Ghost.

  17. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Why we must daily be filled with the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is God within us, and without that connection, that relationship with Him, we are without power. Stay prayed up tthough, and like Paul, we too can be mightily used!

  18. Acts 19- 20-21 ( amp) Thus the Word of the Lord [ concerning the attainment through Christ of eternal salvation in the kingdom of [ God ] grew and spread and intensifield, intensified, mightily.
    21) Now after these events Paul determined in the ( Holy) Spirit that he would travel through Macedonian and Achaia ( most of Greece) , and go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must visit Rome also.
Paul one time Jewish ,who converts to become missionary and advocate for non Jewish Christians by his name ,Saul.
Paul preach and teach the word to everyone.
    We should do the same.
God word and Holy Spirit will always prevail.
Thank you Jesus for the Holy Ghost.

  19. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

When Paul understood where these 12 men were in God, he led them the rest of the way.

  20. 14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

Wow! The evil spirits were shocked to see who was the one with that same power that Jesus had casting them out. That is The Holy Ghost Power we get after we receive The Holy Ghost.
The Word Of GOD will always grow and prevail!
    Hallelujah!
    Thank You Jesus!

  21. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
Does the enemy know who you are?

We should have such a strong relationship with Jesus that the enemy knows exactly who we are. He should know that we mean business when we walk into a room. There should be no fear of us towards him because we know our God is greater.

  22. The Kingdom of Heaven is GREATER

23 And the same time there arose no small stir about that way. 24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;Notice that everywhere Paul goes, someone steps up and causes trouble. This is the “messenger of satan” that Paul states was a thorn in his flesh. Every city he went to, there was someone stirring up issues. Jesus told Paul that his grace was sufficient for him.

  23. Greater
    THE Lord’s Glorious Church

v5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

To be part of the Lord’s glorious church, we must know Him in the power of Jesus Name baptism and be filled and led by His sanctifying Spirit.

  24. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

    Hallelujah

  25. 1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

We must repent of our sins and be peptize in Jesus name. We Will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for it is the power that God has given us to cast out demons in the name of Jesus. Without the Holy Ghost we have no power.

  26. Then Paul went to the synagogue and preached boldly for the next three months, arguing persuasively about the Kingdom of God. But some became stubborn, rejecting his message and publicly speaking against the Way. So Paul left the synagogue and took the believers with him. Then he held daily discussions at the lecture hall of Tyrannus. This went on for the next two years, so that people throughout the province of Asia—both Jews and Greeks—heard the word of the Lord.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭19:8-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This shows us two things: (1) The eagerness of Paul to teach and (2) the eagerness of the Christians to learn. It may well shame many of us because of our petty excuses for not studying the Word of God.

  27. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

We live in a world that doesn’t know God! But God is positioning this church to be in a place that it can touch the world and change the world! We need more preachers, servers, teachers and cleaners! The harvest is here who will come and work the fields and lay hands on the sick and the broken hearted

  28. 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

We should go and find people that haven’t gotten the Holy Ghost, and haven’t been baptized so we can please God and give his people the truth, so we can also get all his people to heaven and go to heaven ourself.

  29. “God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:11-12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

God can use anyone in his kingdom. All you have to do is be willing and able to be used. We must have an open heart and mind and know that when we are doing a work for the lord that when he is in the middle of it miraculous things will happen. Don’t ever question the calling god has on your life. Know that as long as you submit to him he will use you as he sees fit.

  30. 17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

When news of this defeat of the forces of satan become known in the surrounding area, a deep sense of awe fell on the people, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. It was not Paul’s name that received the glory, but the name of Paul’s Savior.

    A.L.M.A.S.

  31. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Transferring power requires connection. You cannot transfer unless you are willing to believe with others and be willing to allow the Holy Ghost to flow through you.

  32. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

God is always looking for someone to use as a conduit for the transfer of his power. Thank you lord for not looking us by and trusting in believing in us to do your works.

  33. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

God is always looking for someone to use as a conduit for the transfer of his power. Thank you lord for not looking us by and trusting in believing in us to do your works.

  34. “And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

These last couple of years there has been an uproar in our country. It’s has not been an uproar for truth, but only sin!!
After being in the book of Radically Apostolic, what kind of an uproar or better yet stand are we as a Christian actually going to be?
I know as for me… I’m tired of hearing all these lies, rebellion, killings etc.
Our voices and the way of living out truth must be louder than the voice of the enemy!

The enemy is on a mission…but so are WE!!!
“Let’s get LOUD!” And GREATER than ever before.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Truth will always trump the enemy!!!!

  35. 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.

The gospel were preached everywhere and by many new disciples full of doctrine and passion.
Apollo was one of them, but he did not know about the Holy Spirit. When they knew they got baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and they received the Holy Spirit and they prophesied.

  36. He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

This is a great way to reach out to those that are believers but not apostolic in doctrine. A good conversation to get to teaching them a more perfect way.

  37. 8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus

10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

There are times when the people we are sharing the Gospel to will not receive it. It is not as important to dwell on the ones who won’t listen, but instead keep pushing forward looking for more to share the good news too. This passage doesn’t say that Paul became discouraged and gave up. No, it says that he left them, and continued to share the good news.

  38. 1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

With a little patience and compassion, our friends too, would allow us to tell them of the correct way to be saved.

  39. Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them ; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

We must be filled and walk in the Holy Ghost every day, believe and let power flow thru us whe laying on hands in Jesus Name.

    Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

  40. Verses 1-2 MSG “Now, it happened that while Apollos was away in Corinth, Paul made his way down through the mountains, came to Ephesus, and happened on some disciples there. The first thing he said was, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? Did you take God into your mind only, or did you also embrace him with your heart? Did he get inside you?” Good questions and important things to consider! We must be GREATER !

  41. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. We praise your holy name Jesus

  42. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

  43. But some became stubborn, rejecting his message and publicly speaking against the Way. So Paul left the synagogue and took the believers with him. Then he held daily discussions at the lecture hall of Tyrannus. This went on for the next two years, so that people throughout the province of Asia—both Jews and Greeks—heard the word of the Lord.

This reminds me of sis bower (now Bryant) going to nursing homes, recreational centers, fast food places every week and not holding back to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It can be a library, lecture hall, city street. Anywhere can be a preaching point in this city!!

  44. “Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s important we look to God ordained leadership and The Word when there is a disagreement among the multitude. We need to lean not to our own understanding but trust in the Lord and believe age will direct our path

  45. 2 He asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed [in Jesus as the Christ]?” And they said, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” 3 And he asked, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into John’s baptism.” 4 Paul said, “John performed a baptism of repentance, continually telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, [to confidently accept and joyfully believe] in Jesus [the Messiah and Savior].” 5 After hearing this, they were baptized [again, this time] in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in [unknown] tongues (languages) and prophesying. Repent and be baptized in Jesus name. The Holy Ghost is for everyone of us. We’ve got to share it with the whole world. Everyone knows someone that needs the truth. Let’s get busy in the Kingdom of God!
