Psalm Chapter 1

Acts 5:14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Fort Worth, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Psalm 1

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

  1. ‭Psalms 1:1-3 NLT‬
[1] Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.
[2] But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.
[3] They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

Watch who you are surrounding yourself with. If you are with people who are talking against your church and your Pastor don’t fall into the trap and follow them. Pray for them. The Lord and his ways are perfect. His power is and the power of his word, his ways and promises are never lost or weakened by people or circumstances. Stay in the will of God. God will always be by our side. I heard this on the radio yesterday. Life’s circumstances don’t dictate the day. God’s truth does. God’s timing is perfect.

  2. Verse 1 VOICE “God’s blessings follow you and await you at every turn: when you don’t follow the advice of those who delight in wicked schemes, When you avoid sin’s highway, when judgment and sarcasm beckon you, but you refuse.” As we ReVIVE and continue to Follow The Fire, God’s blessings will follow us.

Deuteronomy 28:2 ERV “If you will obey the Lord your God, all these blessings will come to you and be yours:”.

  3. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

By this means his own life is enriched and he becomes a channel of blessing to others.

  4. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Blessings come in many forms. The most permanent blessing is eternal rewards. When we have righteous companions are path will be directed to a closer relationship with Jesus.

  5. 1. Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.

    6. For the LORD watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction. NLT

Be careful where you get your advice and direction; not everyone has your best interest at heart, or doesn’t seek God’s will for your life. You may not can see that they’re headed down the wrong path, and are leading you astray as well.

  6. Psalm 3:1 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The spiritually productive life is one of growth, and in due season the consistent watering with God’s Word will bear fruit.

Ephesians 5:26 tells us that we are cleansed “with the washing of water by the word.” There are things that will be cleansed—things in our minds, things that deal with conduct, things that have to do with character and attitude—that are cleansed by water.

    Jeremiah 17:8
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

    Psalm 92:14
    They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

  7. Psalms 1:2-3 (VOICE)

    2) For you, the Eternal’s Word is your happiness. It is your focus — from dusk to dawn. 3) You are like a tree, planted by flowing, cool streams of water that never run dry. Your fruit ripens in its time; your leaves never fade or curl in the summer sun. No matter what you do, you prosper.

When we stay Focused on the Word Of God, It will cause us to live a Happy, Meaningful, and Prosperous Life.

I LOVE THE TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD!

  8. “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

what you think, what you say, what you feel, what you hear it all leads you to the word of The LORD JESUS. Your heart must be prepared to seek the LORD daily. It’ll keep you protected and safe in Jesus Christ.

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, That I might not sin against thee.”

  9. 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

The word blessed is from the word markio which is loosely translated to mean someone who is content or happy. When the Bible uses these word, it can be referring to that inner peace that comes only from walking with God, and being in unity with Him.

  10. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

    Psalms 1:2‭-‬3 NLT

The Word of God brings LIFE!

  11. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

When your delight comes from ungodly sources it will be only for a moment. But the godly person will find their delight in the things of God.

Psalms 119:14-16 “I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.

  12. vs-4

The ungodly are: but are like the chaff which driveth away.

The wicked: The Heb root word ra’ah means “evil”or “bad.” But emphasis of “wicked” in the O.T. is on the moral deficiencies that find expression in injuring other persons. What characterizes the wicked is pride and viciousness expressed.

  13. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

the more we fill ourselves with Gods word and prayer, the more our roots grow. our foundation must be strong before we began to prosper fruits of the Lord.

  15. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

A tree is continually nourished by the waters of a river so that it is able to bear its fruit and Christians who live close to God are also continually nourished so we are able to bear fruit and see growth in his Kingdom.

    LIVING THE BLESSED LIFE

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

The KEY to verse 1 (BLESSED) is found in verse 2 (HIS LAW). Everyone wants to be BLESSED but not everyone wants to be obedient in preparation for the BLESSED LIFE.

There is a difference between BLESSING and SUCCESS. SUCCESS is when you do good at something. BLESSED is when something does good to you!

When my MIND and my DESIRE are focused on JESUS and HIS WORD (his law). HE leads me to walk away from the ungodly, gives me a place to stand with the saints in HIS Kingdom and reveals to me the GOODNESS of GOD and man so that I do not sit with the scornful.

LOVING the WORD of GOD is LIVING THE BLESSED LIFE

  17. Psalms 1: 2 [ Amp] But his delight and desire arexin the law of the Lord , and on His law , the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God he habitually meditates ( ponders and studies) by day and by night.

2 Tim.3:16 Every Scripture is God- breathed given by his inspiration and profitable for instruction, for reproof and correction of error and discipline in obedience, and for training in righteousness [ that is ,in Holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose and action].

If we stay focus on God word, it will cause to live Happy, Meanful, Prosperous Life too.

    Thank you Jesus .

Meditating on the Word day and night makes us strong. Our roots tap deep into the love and understanding of the Word of God and absolutely nothing can move us. No storm, no trouble, no pressure, no situation, no betrayal, nothing will move us and nothing will shake us. This is why daily Bible reading is the key to being saved. We need to embrace our daily Bible reading and see it as the anchor of our soul

  19. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Mat_6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The word delight in this verse means desire, and if you seek the kingdom of God anything other than first in your life your desire is not in God. To desire something means you have to have it over everything else in your life. Jesus help us to make sure our desires are in the right order in our life, you being the number one desire forever.

  20. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Delight – to desire, to take pleasure in, a valuable thing, pleasant purpose, willingly

What a privilege it is to take pleasure in the law of the Lord, meditating upon it, how can I do better, how can I live more for the Lord, what can I do to show others His ways? It is like the air we breathe, everyday our focus should be delighting in what God desires, what He wants for the day, what He wants for our life and for others.

  21. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish

Mighty and merciful God you are!!! 🙏🏼

23Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24And see if there be anywicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting

  22. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

The law of the Lord is what the Holy Spirit helps us to live by. When I say something that is offensive to someone, it is the spirit within me that convicts me and helps me to say I’m sorry, when I think something wrong it is the spirit that cleans up my thinking, it keeps me from doing anything that would cause harm to anyone, or that would take from another. It is the law of God that I stay on a righteous path. So, by keeping His law, His commandments, I have peace, He give me inter joy no matter what I’m going through. I have to be honest though, I’m not perfect, I mess up, sometimes I don’t listen to the spirit, I want to do my own way. Then, I get convicted and my conscience is seared, and I quickly have to repent and pray for another chance to do right. We’re all human, but the Holy Ghost keeps us on the right track. Thank you, Jesus, for the law that helps me each day to live for you.

Thank you Jesus for blessing me with more then I could’ve ever imagined. Thank you Jesus for giving me another opportunity to wake up and change whatever needs fixing. Thank you Jesus for blessing me with a family who keeps me accountable and walk in a straight line more towards you! And thank you Jesus for returning our brothers and sisters aunts and uncles grandparents kids friends and more to church.

    I FEAR YOU LORD.

  24. Psalm 1

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

To follow our Lord Jesus, makes me smile. When I question if I said something wrong or perhaps acted improperly, I have to confess to Jesus and ask for forgiveness. I love our Lord and I do want to feel he is smiling down on me. I strive to be righteous.

“Neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV)

Thank you Jesus for this day.

  26. Ps 1 (God’s Word) see Joshua 1:8 vs1) Flourshing. vs2) (Meditation) replace the word his with your name – make it personal. (night) – even in your sleep. vs3) His fruit! His season! His Leaf shall not wither! see Ps. 119:165; 92:12-13.
