Psalm Chapter 2

Pray Today

Acts 5:14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Fort Worth, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Psalm 2

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

  1. ‭Psalms 2:7, 12 NLT‬
[7] The king proclaims the Lord’s decree: “The Lord said to me, ‘You are my son. Today I have become your Father.
[12] Submit to God’s royal son, or he will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities— for his anger flares up in an instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in him!

God chose us, God adopted us to be his children, God loves us. God loves us with an everlasting love. God is our refuge and shelter from the storm. The joy of the Lord is our strength. With God and all his promises there is joy. Look for joy in things throughout your day. It’s the little things in life. What are you grateful for? Praise and thank God for everything he has done, is doing and will do. Hallelujah.
Praise God 🙌 🙏. Praise him anywhere. Nothing is too big for God.

  2. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

All the earth will submit to His authority and His rule will extend from shore to shore.

  3. Verses 11-12 VOICE “There is only one God, the Eternal; worship Him with respect and awe; take delight in Him and tremble. Bow down before God’s son. If you don’t, you will face His anger and retribution, And you won’t stand a chance. For it doesn’t take long to kindle royal wrath, But blessings await all who trust in Him. They will find God a gentle refuge.” ReTRIBUTION or ReFUGE the choice is yours! ReVIVE and ReMEMBER Joshua 24:15 CEV “But if you don’t want to worship the Lord, then choose here and now! Will you worship the same idols your ancestors did? Or since you’re living on land that once belonged to the Amorites, maybe you’ll worship their gods. I won’t. My family and I are going to worship and obey the Lord!”

  4. 7-9. Let me tell you what God said next. He said, “You’re my son, And today is your birthday. What do you want? Name it: Nations as a present? continents as a prize? You can command them all to dance for you, Or throw them out with tomorrow’s trash.” MSG

It’s good to be a child of the King! Now if we would just take full advantage of it, there’s no limit to what He would do!

  5. 10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

A true form of wisdom is to fear/respect the Lord. The Lord responds to prayers of thanksgiving more readily than prayers of petition.

  6. 11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Things don’t have to be as difficult as we often make them. It can be just as simple as this: To serve the Lord with fear or reverence and to rejoice in the same token. The more reverence we have towards God the more we will walk humbly before him and serve not for vain glory but for Honor to Him

  7. “Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it is what’s lacking in America today, a reverence for GOD ALMIGHTY and His Holy word.
Just yesterday I was asked at work why are people so mean and cruel we all know that without God in our lives, America is nothing, and it will not stand.
As a church we must continue to intercede for our country.

JESUS forgive the sins ou our country today. We are in need of your Mercy.

“if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭7‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  8. 12 “Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.”
    ‭‭

The people have a clear choice. They could choose to love and obey JESUS and experience His blessings or refuse to submit and experience God’s wrath.

  9. Psalm 2:11,12 Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling.

    Amplified Bible
Worship the LORD and serve Him with reverence [with awe-inspired fear and submissive wonder]; Rejoice [yet do so] with trembling.

Serve Him by honoring and obeying Him.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” psalm 111:10

Go on from fear to love, and so to joy.

Hebrews 12:28,29 wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear For our God is a consuming fire.

  10. 1Why are the nations so angry? Why do they waste their time with futile plans? 2The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the LORD and against his anointed one.

The nations have no reason to rage against God, and they have no benefit in raging against Him. Their opposition against God is nothing but a vain thing. Those who oppose the LORD and His Anointed think of God as a bondage-bringer. This attitude is evidence of spiritual insanity, because God is a bondage-breaker, not a bondage-bringer. Many have this thought. But a household with no rules is a household in chaos. With God we are freed from sin, and we make better choices in life.

Psalms 2:2-3 (KJV) “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, [3] Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us

There are two Kingdoms in this world and each of us belong to one or the other. It’s up to us to choose which kingdom we want to belong to. In the Kingdom of Heaven, there are rules and principles. The world however, does not want this bondage to rules and their hearts desire is to break away from the bands that hold them back from having a good time. This is why folks get together, form an alliance, and cause a division trying to bring as many as they can with them. This is nothing personal with the church, this is a personal decision to go into another kingdom.

  12. 10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Serving the Lord should start with the Leaders of a Country and they should allow he Lord to guide them. Then the country will have the blessings of God. America desperately needs this leadership today at all levels.

    JESUS I FEAR YOU

11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Thank you JESUS for our first ever Prayer ReVIVAL!

The presence and power of JESUS was manifest in the sanctuary each night and HIS Grace and Mercy demonstrated on Sunday. I am forever thankful for all who attended.

Thursday Night the LORD led me to share some personal notes from a Prayer Retreat with Bro. Lee Stoneking at Bro. David Shatwells house. Verse 11 reminded me of one of the comments from Bro Stoneking.

Bro. Stoneking said that he prays:

    “JESUS I fear you” – 100 times a day

If I will confess “JESUS I fear you” repeatedly in my day then I should be conditioned to “Serve the LORD with FEAR”.

The word “FEAR” does not mean to have terror of the LORD but to have RESPECT for the LORD and be concerned about what concerns HIM.

JESUS I fear (respect and honor) you!

There are going to be people that have a problem with us for no reason in our life, and say things against us that are not true. We have to let God be in control and handle the situation, knowing that he is our father and that he will take care of everything for us. If we let our father take care of the situation, it will not be a distraction for us. Thank you Jesus for taking care of us no matter the situation.

  15. 11 Worship the Lord and serve Him with reverence [with awe-inspired fear and submissive wonder];
Rejoice [yet do so] with trembling.
12 Kiss (pay respect to) the [d]Son, so that He does not become angry, and you perish in the way,
For His wrath may soon be kindled and set aflame.
How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] are all those who take refuge in Him!

So many people miss the reverence fear that we are supposed to have towards God. They feel like they have been given grace and they can live however they want with no respect to the disciplines necessary to live a holy, separated life.

2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

The world should be able to not only see Jesus in us, but also our lifestyle, actions and reactions should represent Jesus as well.

  16. Psalms 2:1 (TLB), “What fools the nations are to rage against the Lord! How strange that men should try to outwit God!”

Psalms 2:10-12 (TLB), 10) O kings and rulers of the earth, listen while there is time. 11) Serve the Lord with reverent fear; rejoice with trembling. 12) Fall down before his Son and kiss his feet before his anger is roused and you perish. I am warning you — his wrath will soon begin. But, oh, the joys of those who put their trust in him!”

There is No One who can outwit, outsmart, or surpass the wisdom of God. For God has All Wisdom, Power, and Authority. He Knows and Sees All Things. He Created All Things. HE IS THE LIVING GOD!

So we all would do well to Listen and Be Warned: Serve the Lord with reverent fear, Rejoice, Fall Down – Bow Down before Him; and Trust in Him. For if we do, we will be Blessed.

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,…” (1 Peter 5:6)

  17. Psalms 2: 11 [ amp] Serve the Lord with reverent awe and worshipful fear; rejoice and be in high spirits, with trembling [ lest you displease Him].

There no God , like Our God!

To serve him by Listening, obeying, and honoring him, to rejoice, fall down, bow down, before him and trust him with all your Heart.

Jesus is the Living God that knows and see’s Everything.

    Hallelujah Praise the Lord.

  18. 10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Seek the Lord with all your heart, and he will pour his blessings upon you. obey the Word of God and he will do great things.

  19. 10Therefore be wise, O kings;

be admonished, O judges of the earth

    ——-

    Therefore…

why? Because we all see what happens

when people rejects the Holy One of Israel and make “gods” and give to others the glory that only God deserves.

  20. vs-7

I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

“YOU ARE MY SON.” This is the public proclamation that the Son is to inherit the kingdom from His Father. It is a metaphor establishing the Son’s right to rule over God’s Kingdom.

God has decreed that His Son will rule the earth. How essential it is to submit to our King rather than destruction.

Thank you Jesus for all that you do for us. We love you Jesus and praise your beautiful and mighty name !!! #JESUS

    I FEAR YOU LORD.

  22. Ps 2 the early leaders attributed this chapter to David…(Acts 4:25) Luke is imposing in Acts 5:14 no one else dared to join the believers this statement refers to those who have been tempted or to join our of curiosity…sincere believers continued to be added to their number.

    • I didn’t mean to push send yet..So we are believing on sincere believers to be added to our numbers! Acts 5:vs12) SIGNS & WONDERS…all with one accord! Acts 5:vs14-16) MIRACLES see Mark 13:22. Lord, please work mighty among us. Ps 2:7) see Rev. 1:6; Acts 13:33.

  23. “Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s a profound way to honor the Lord and embody true humility as His servant. It’s an acknowledgment of our smallness in the presence of a great and mighty God. We find joy in the boundless mercy of God and the perfection of His love for us.

  24. Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

    • flesh always wants to show Jesus that He doesn’t know what He’s doing,

The Word says we were fearfully and wonderfully made. Why would we (people) need to use cosmetics, ink, trinkets? Why would humanity question gender?
we need to trust Jesus and help others to do the same, because He doesn’t make mistakes.
