Psalm 68

1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his nameJah, and rejoice before him.

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:

The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.

10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.

11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

12 Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.

13 Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.

14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.

15 The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.

16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the Lord will dwell in it for ever.

17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them.

19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

20 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death.

21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.

22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:

23 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.

24 They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.

25 The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.

26 Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.

27 There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.

28 Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.

29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.

30 Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.

31 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.

32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:

33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.

34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

  1. Everything that have breath Praise the Lord!
Every knee shall bow everytongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord of Lords and King of Kings!

This passage is very clear that every nation will know that there’s a King and a God that is above all flesh.
And there’s no ruler or King higher than Jesus, our Lord.
    He is our Messiah.
He gave us the gift of the Holy Ghost.
He is a Spirit. Who wants us to praise/talk to Him in spirit and truth.
He visits us daily right where we are.The One God. I appreaciate Him showing us that He is with us.
After He died on the cross for our sins.
He loves us and is with us always so He brings heaven here on earth (church) so we can praise sing dance hear clap love jump this is all wonderful to me. The people who dont want any of this will be left behind, when God comes back to get us. NOW i have to start getting ready for Him and be a strong witness for HIM.
    OUR LORD.
Thank you Jesus for being You.

  2. I once wished I could take this earthly flesh off every time it seems that it was getting stronger and wouldn’t submit. Then, I realized that there is only one way, you must have so much of HIS SPIRIT, in you that it will cover the flesh so the flesh is under HIS SPIRIT at all times. The only way to accomplish that is through PRAISE. You must Praise HIM at all times, good or bad, pretty or ugly, easy or hard, healthy or sick, every time, any time, all the time. Yesterdays chapter said: Praise Him to have the increase of the land.

Today it shows that PRAISE must precede for Victory to proceed.

25 The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.

  3. 3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

    …Exceedingly Rejoice!
This really spoke to me this moring.
Exceedingly – to an advanced or unusual degree, to go above or beyound, immensly,

The righteous should be glad and rejoice to a
unusual degree we are on the winning side now act like it. The enemy is driven away God has held the things that once held you captive, captive so REJOICE!

  4. ILove to eat the book

    The chariots of God

So many times in life we hear how “bad” the world is, how evil the days are, and how the devil is running the world system…but what about The Chariots of God? What about the benifits of God? What about what God could do through a willing vessel?

THERE ARE MORE FOR US THAN AGAINST US!

for every devil that got cast out of heaven, there were 2 that remained.

17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

  5. 18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them.

Only the One who holds captivity in captivity can set the captive free!

He set me free yes He set me free
He broke the bonds of prison for me
I’m glory bound, my Jesus to see
For glory to God, He set me free

I have every reason to PRAISE my GOD!!!

  7. YET ANOTHER REASON iPraise JESUS NOW

1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

    WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW!

    Saturday Morning Church!

This is HOW we PRAISE, LIFT YOUR HANDS, LIFT YOUR VOICE, LIFT YOUR JESUS!

    POWER PRINCIPAL to LIVE by:

    JESUS said:

John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Everything in LIFE whether our enemies or our friends should be pointed to JESUS, who is identifiably LORD of our LIVES. The JESUS that is PRAISED through the good and the bad, the wide and the narrow, the up and the down, the feast and the famine, the health and the sickness.

How do we LIFT HIM up?

Heaven is HIS throne. You cannot ascend any higher than this!

    However:
Psalms 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
We LIFT HIM UP in our LIVES! We EXALT JESUS above our troubles and trials, our victories and blessings our past and our future.

The word inhabitest means to “sit down as a judge, to remain, to keep house”. When we PRAISE HIM we GIVE HIM control.

The ELEVATOR or ESCALATOR to EXALT HIM is PRAISE!

    Consider the words of ISAIAH:

Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

    TRUST
    JOY
    SAY THE NAME JESUS
    SING
    CRY OUT (YEEEEAAAAAAAAH, YYYYEEEEEEESSSSS)
    SHOUT (HALLELUJAH)

Here is our Escalator or Elevator

    It begins with:

FAITH – GOD gave every person a measure of FAITH. FAITH births
TRUST – We TRUST what we believe in. TRUST births
JOY – Internal security that is not based on any circumstance. JOY births
CONFESSION – JESUS is our source. CONFESSION births a
SONG – Singing is a sign of VICTORY. SINGING births a
CRY OUT – To LIFT UP, to make shine, rejoice. CRY OUR births a
    SHOUT – To DECLARE Triumph.

Through this process our enemies are scattered and our friends are intrigued at our PRAISE and LIFTING of JESUS.

    PRAISE JESUS – NOW

    iBelieve
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  8. This chapter illustrates power. God is exalted and his might is expressed. One would be foolish to turn away from such a great God; “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.” Likewise one truly is wise when one submits and magnifies God; “How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders!” May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  9. This is a chapter that to me talks about pretty much about everything,
—About what THE LORD has done in the past, what he will, about his mercy love and kindness, about petitionsto God, worship, praise, judgment …….
    68:35
You are awesome O God,in your
Sanctuary;the GOD of Israel gives power and strength to his people.
    Praise be to God!
    ——thinking about God’s omnipotence,
    Omnipresence and his omniscience ……
—I will sing unto The Lord for he is worthy to be praise, I will proclaim the good news and his Salvation( I will do it porpusly and with a willing heart.
    In Jesus’s name.

  10. 33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.

The same chapter that speaks of God riding on the heavens twice, taking care of our enemies, and watching out for his people quotes the foundational verse for Ephesians 4

    Ephesians 4:8-12
Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Enemies are scattered, the captive are set free, he keeps, protects, and blesses while riding on the heavens and gives gifts unto men.

What amazing things God does through ministry!

  11. God is an awesome God. He delivers us and protects us from all enemies. He gets rid of the wicked and leads the way for the righteous. I praise your great name Lord.

God has always been there for me, he has my back, I trust you Lord, I bless your name Lord God almighty.

Lord you strenghten me when I am weak, you are my lifter, thank you for allowing me to serve you Lord. God give me the power I need to reach the souls that don’t know you to your Sanctuary. Praise be to God NOW and forever.

  12. 11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

Today this is our commission, to publish the Word that the Lord gave to His people. We can find many words of encouragement in today’s chapter. Give the word! Sing praises to His name, and the enemies of your life will scatter, because they can’t abide somewhere that the name of the Lord is being lifted up and glorified!

  13. 1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
Why do we fret God has our back. Praise him
In the morning praise him at the noon time
    Praise him all day long

  14. 19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

This just goes to show us that God blesses us each day. He gives us fresh life, a joy in our step, a praise on our lips. He has givin the earth so that we can see that awesome power of Him. The paint brush strokes of the evening and morning light, the sound of the babbling brook, the sound of the trees when a calm wind comes. The rolling hills, and the tall mountain peaks. These are just a few.

  15. 6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
Only through Him will we continue to be delivered, and will we continue to see the region around us delivered……

  16. 19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:

Praise yourself out of trouble, out of depression, out of stress, and into the presence of the Hope of glory!!

  17. 19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Everyday he has a new mercy and grace for us!

  18. Let God Arise

    Psalms 16:8-11
8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. 10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

When we are in the way of life, God can flow freely in and through us, but when we are in sin we resist Him. Joy flows with His Spirit and so we find joy in His presence if we allow Him access.

    John 4:14
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

    Psalms 91:14-16
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

    Deuteronomy 5:7
Thou shalt have none other gods before me.

We must let God arise in our lives and overflow as the well of living water in us. We must worship Him alone and cast down every idol to exalt Him. Part of that is casting off our own humanity and receiving His grace so that we completely cast our salvation by faith to Him. We can’t earn our salvation but are saved by grace through faith.

    Hebrews 4:14-16
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

    Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

    Psalms 51:12-14
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. 13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. 14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

    Isaiah 12:1-5
1 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. 2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

    Psalms 63:1-5
1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; 2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. 3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. 4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. 5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips

  19. Vs. 19, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.”

Ps.103:2-5 says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkinness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles.”

So what are some of the benefits of God? He forgives us, heals us, redeems us, crowns us, and satisfies us. What an awesome God we serve. Thank You Jesus !

  20. Oh yea!

Up with God! Down with his enemies! Adversaries, run for the hills! Gone like a puff of smoke , like a blob of wax in the fire–one look at God and the wicked vanish. When the righteous see God in action they’ll laugh, they”ll sing, they”ll laugh and sing for joy.Sing hymns to God; all heaven , sing out; clear the way for the coming of Cloud-Rider.Enjoy GOD, cheer when you see him! Psalm 1-4 The Message

  21. v26 Bless ye GOD in the congregation even the LORD,from the foundation of Israel.

The early church met together for worship and praise even in the face of threats and persecution.
However Hebrews instructs us to continue to assemble regularly for worship and encourage others to do the same.
    Hebrews 10:25

GOD promised to be there. Matt.18:20

    iPray
iEncourage you to Praise and Worship with us.

    iMagnify The LORD!!!!

  22. 20 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death.

Hide the word in your heart that you might not sin against him.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet.

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. -Proverbs 4:23

  23. In this scripture, there are many verses demonstrating the great power of God, and his awesomeness. In vs. 6, is another verse of how he sets prisoners free from their chains, but yet warns of the judgement pending a rebellious individual. “We don’t want to remain thirsty!”

6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

In verse 11, he gave his word, and wow he sure did, It became flesh, and he gave of himself, his life for ours. He also sent his word and healed them. You can’t out give God!

11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

In verse 19, who says serving or loving God doesn’t come with benefits! Hmm…sounds better than any ole 401K. “Remember it says daily”.

19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

In verse 33, do you really want to hear his voice. Remember, Jesus said my sheep know my voice, and they follow me. Sounds like, we all can use a sound check, or voice check. But, you keep persuing him and follow.

33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.

    “Now”………………………………………

  24. 32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:

    Praise God! He’s awesome!
    -Anthony

The Philistines on the movie are bad, and the wall fell down when the men yelled.
    -Jo Jo

16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the Lord will dwell in it for ever.

Our God dwells in the hills that move. We can’t get complacent and comfortable
or he will leave. Lets always be on the move and looking for our next instruction. God doesn’t like it to be boring.
What are you waiting on? Do something!

  25. 8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

If the earth is shakes why do we not move? If the heavens drop why are we not on our faces? If Sinai moves in the presence of God why do we not press in to God’s presence?

I know that we have free will and that we are not robots, but just really think about it. Do you really think that you are more important than God? He is the creater of the things that we can’t move (mountains) and those things move for Him. Yes we are important in this life, but are you really more important than God? When we don’t move, bow, shake, or press in for God then we are speaking through our actions. Our actions are telling God that we are more than He is. It might even say that our problem is bigger than He can handle.

It would be terrible if God was not bigger than everything else. I praise because God is. . .
    Bigger
    Able
    Stronger
    Savior
    Provider
    Protector
    Worthy

And on and on the list goes.

  26. God, people have seen your victory march; God my King marched into the holy place. The singers are in front and the instruments are behind. In the middle are the girls with the tambourines. Praise God in the meeting place; praise the L ord in the gathering of Israel. God, you are wonderful in your Temple. The God of Israel gives his people strength and power. Praise God! (Psalms 68:24-26, 35 NCV)

    Praise is so powerful!!

  27. vs 8 God can move the mountains in our lives if we will obey his word and but ask him to. He is faithful and just to forgive us and he will do whatever we ask.

  28. Verses 3-4 NLT read:

    “But let the godly rejoice.
Let them be glad in God’s presence.
Let them be filled with joy.
Sing praises to God and to his name!
Sing loud praises to him who rides the clouds.
    His name is the Lord—
    rejoice in his presence!”

Verse 34 “Tell everyone about God’s power.
    His majesty shines down on Israel;
his strength is mighty in the heavens.”

We need to tell everyone about God’s power and let them see it in our praise and joy in the Lord.

  29. 35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

Blessed be THE ALMIGHTY KING OF KINGS!!!
    I thank You JESUS!!!
HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH!!! HALELUJAH !!! You are soooo worthy JESUS!!! I love YOU DADDY!!! You continue to strengthen Your people…… Thank you for Your faithfulness

  30. This victory parade, honoring the Lords triumph in battle, is not an uncommon sight in Israels history. Joyous processions mark other momentous occasions, including the ark of the covenants journey to Jerusalem (2Sam6:12-15) and Jesus’ humble entrance there (John 12:12-15). These parades are far more than merely fun and exciting events however; they are a tangible expression of the Hebrews’ heartfelt worship of the King of glory. “Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle…He is the king of glory.” (Ps 24:8-10).

  31. 32 Sing unto God , ye kingdoms of the earth ; O sing praises unto the Lord ; Selah : 33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens , which were of old ; lo , he doth send out his voice , and that a mighty voice . 34 Ascribe ye strength unto God : his excellency is over Israel , and his strength is in the clouds .
