Psalm 126

1 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.

The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

  1. When I think of the goodness of Jesus
and all He has done for me
    My soul cries out Hallelujah
    Thank God for saving me.

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Have you ever prayed for someone until it hurts so bad you can’t stop crying? Have your heart been burden with the souls of people as you walk by them and the heaviness is so that you can’t contain the tears? Our congregation walks around downtown Fort Worth praying and you can hear the cry of people in your heart. You can feel their trouble souls crying out. I could not contain my tears. When a mother gives birth, they cry in pain, until that moment when the tears of pain turn to tears of joy. That moment when they put her so awaited baby in her arms. I can’t wait, to see my Pastor, when they put that so long awaited baby in his arms and tell him, “this city is now yours”. I can imagine his exuberant Joy and then I can see him turned and tell us: “ok guys now we need the whole county”. That is what we need to do, to challenge ourselves; yes, we are happy with all the adding that God has done to our church, but can we really settle for it and forget about the millions of people still waiting to hear the good news of Jesus? Can we ignore their cry? NOOOOO!!! Sow with tears so you may reap with JOY!!!!!! Water your precious seed with tears and they will grow and multiply. Pray for them daily, claim them daily, cover them with His Blood daily…

  2. 2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.

I want my mouth to be filled with laughter and my tongue with singing. Joy unspeakable and full of Glory!

  3. 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

    Psalm 30:5 (KJV)
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life:
weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

  4. When we were in the world we couldn’t be happy.
But NOW… We are redeemed we have something to look forward to ~ being one with Christ.
THANK YOU JESUS WE WILL BE HAPPY and I Praise Your Holy Name!
    FOREVER AND EVER!

    PROVERBS 8:35
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.
    REVELATION 5:9~10
9 And they sang a song a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by the blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation:
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:
And we shall reign on the earth.

  5. 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

  7. This chapter says those that have a dream are happy, they are full of laughter. Maybe the problem with society is that they need to grab ahold of a dream. There is a reason that the scriptures says without a vision my people parish.

So if you find yourself walking around sad, or depressed, grab ahold of a vision. It will make all the difference.

  8. THE UNSTOPPABLE SPIRIT

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Pain, disappointment, resistance, opposition, and accusation will always be a part of the life of the believer. The misconception of things not going our way has always been a frustrating experience. Unfortunately it causes some to give up on their HOPE in GOD and change their course of salvation.

As we heard testified on Sunday at The POFW, when we call on the name of JESUS, anything is possible. Situations and circumstances may have you weeping and sorrowful today. However, I charge you to receive the PROMISE in verse

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

    MKW translation:

5-6 When in sorrow, continue to sow seed and refuse to quit, do not give up, let up, or even consider turning around. The LORD knows and is able to see your pain and will honor your FAITH, as you continue to reach, teach, and bless others for the name of JESUS sake. You will be the one rejoicing in the end. Your harvest will be greater and your joy will be uncontainable at the favor and goodness of GOD. Do not stop sowing seeds of righteousness, time, talent, and treasure. GOD will give you HIS peace and joy that will override the pain and sorrows of your season of sowing. So keep serving through your pain, keep sowing through your famine , keep loving through your hurt and keep believing through your frustration.

  9. 3 The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
This verse reminds me of a kid song from when i taught sunday school
we are happy people yes we are we are happy people yes we are
been baptized in Jesus Name spoke in tongues when the Holy Ghost came we are happy people yes we are……
I want to have laughter filling my mouth and my tongue with singing.

Have you ever been with someone and they start laughing and you don’t know why they are laughing but then you start laughing and then another starts laughing and then before you know it everyone is laughing. Laughter is contagious and spreads like wildfire. So who are you hanging with? Are you surrounding yourself with things that are good and wholesome? What we surround ourselves will either hinder us or make our spirits happy and joyful. We are what we eat spiritually and physically.PSALMS 126:2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: they said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.

PROVERBS 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

PROVERBS 15:15 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
PROVERBS 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
If we are cheerful around other people (even when we don’t feel it) they respond cheerfully. Your cheerfullness makes them cheerful. Happiness breeds Happiness!!!!! So what are you spreading today??

  10. Verses 4-6 MSG:

“And now, God, do it again—
bring rains to our drought-stricken lives
So those who planted their crops in despair
will shout hurrahs at the harvest,
So those who went off with heavy hearts
will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing.”

Let it rain Lord, Let it rain! Talk about due season with a smile. The blessings are coming…….families are coming home, families are being blessed and all honor and glory goes to our God.

  11. 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

This has been so true in my life.

  12. This chapter illustrates awakening. The Lord (Jesus) made it possible and they were exceedingly glad. If one will truly seek God (Jesus) and serve him, there will be an awakening; “then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  13. And now, God, do it again— bring rains to our drought-stricken lives So those who planted their crops in despair will shout hurrahs at the harvest, So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing. (Psalm 126:4-6 MSG)

    Lord let it rain

Sow for yourselves according to righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God); reap according to mercy and loving-kindness. Break up your uncultivated ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, to inquire for and of Him, and to require His favor, till He comes and teaches you righteousness and rains His righteous gift of salvation upon you. (Hosea 10:12 AMP)

Do you not say, It is still four months until harvest time comes? Look! I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields and see how they are already white for harvesting. Already the reaper is getting his wages [he who does the cutting now has his reward], for he is gathering fruit (crop) unto life eternal, so that he who does the planting and he who does the reaping may rejoice together. (John 4:35, 36 AMP)

    • And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. (Galatians 6:9 AMP)

  15. This Psalms appears to have been written during a dark season of life. Being captive to situations that had them bound and was out of their control to change. However, through their prayers unto the Lord and the many tears shed during that season, they endured, they were delivered, and they were able to bring fruit from their dark season into that deliverance.

Many times in my own life, and lives of others, we don’t allow the dark seasons of life to develop anything within us. God has a purpose and a plan for every situation He allows to come into our lives. If we can but trust Him we will come out of the situation with victory, joy and fruit. However, there are some situations we put ourselves in by our unwise decisions. Then we pray and cry for deliverance. In those situations, we must turn the lemons into lemonade and march on.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

  16. Psalm 126:2then was our mouth fill with laughter, and our tongue with singing:then said they among the heathen, the LORD had done great things for them.
    ———-
I want my mouth to be filled with loughter and my tongue with singing 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!!!!!!!
    Is that possible? Yes!!!!
….. GOD; guide me, teach me your ways, and renew me, fill me with the HOLY GHOST daily..( fruit of the spirit: love, JOY, peace…….). Then my mouth would be singing and praising all the time then troubles, dissapointments, any kind of issues won’t matter…for I know( have the assurance) that you’ll be taking care of them, while I am busy, loving you, singing unto you, and my mouth filled with loughter at all times!!!!!
I think it’s also a matter of an attitude,an a made up mind( I think) cause we could be walking by feelings and not by faith, so if my day looks bad, then I won’t be singing, and if the day looks good then I have a reason to sing.. I want my mouth to be filled with loughter at all times, because of you GOD!( which is really the state of the heart) a joyful heart, a hopeful heart)a positive attitude … Let it be you GOD!! In Jesus name, AMEN!

  17. We endure circumstances of life at times but when God turns our sadness to joy- there is nothing that can compare. Its joy unspeakable!

  18. 2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.

The world watches our outward emotions,if we are always sad with a long face, they wonder about the God we serve.I always want to have a smile on my face, with singing and laughter and encouraging words always coming out of my mouth !!

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

God heres our prayers, and sees our tears,so we know that He is going to answer and give us great JOY!!

  19. The old song goes “if you want joy, real joy, let Jesus come into your heart”

This verse says 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Jesus does bring joy, but there is another way to receive joy. Trials, challenges, and tests may bring tears but these result on joy.

Hold on, don’t give up, have an unstoppable spirit and sorrow may come in the night but joy comes in the morning

  20. 6: He that goeth forth and weepeth bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing , bringing his sheaves with him.

6: msg. So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing with armloads of blessings.

  21. 1 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

God has and is continually blessing me beyond all I could have ever imagined..

Through all the attacks, and trials I AM BLESSED!

  22. 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

When we sacrifice for the Lord it is usually unpleasant to our flesh, but it’s always worth it. You can always be sure that if you sacrifice and give something to God he will replace it With something better.

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”-Psalm 30:5

Our good is good and just like “it is darkest right before the dawn” we can be sure that the greatest opposition is right before the victory.

  23. 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

There is a season and a time for all things. A season for tears and a season for laughter. God has made all emotions for the glory of Him.

  24. The Unstoppable Dreamer

1 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.

I used to read v1 and look at it from the perspective that “things were so good it seemed unreal.” But as I think more on it, I’m not convinced that’s what the Psalmist meant. When a person dreams, they don’t usually question the validity of their reality, no matter how bazaar. Instead, it might be others who are questioning.

A “dreamer” is someone so caught up in their dream that others deem them as being somewhat out of touch with reality. For the dreamer, the dream overwhelms them and is their reality, whether it has come to pass or not. A related sentiment is saying one “has their head in the clouds.”

When God lets us share in His vision, we should become an unstoppable dreamer. If we’re bought into the Lord’s vision, we can rest in hope knowing it isn’t just another pipe dream. Dreaming the Lord’s dream produces in us joy, laughter, and singing, and a testimony evident to even those around us who aren’t bought into the dream.

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

    2 Corinthians 9:6-11
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor:his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) 11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

There is a time of pain in sowing but God can return upon us blessing to not only bless the work and make it fruitful and nourishing to us but also give us seed again to keep sowing and reaping. However, there is the important detail of attitude. We can give cheerfully with tears in our eyes; just because the flesh doesn’t like it doesn’t mean we can’t still rejoice in the Holy Ghost. The difference between those who caught the dream and those who haven’t becomes evident when the going gets tough. The dreamer isn’t stopping and complaining and whining about “why this”, “why that”, “who do they think they are.” That attitude is evidence of someone who is still more bought in their own dream than the Lord’s. In contrast, the dreamer keeps looking ahead and pushing “just a little further, just a little more…”

There may be times of discouragement when the road seems long, which is why having the dream must be paired with having an unstoppable spirit. The unstoppable dreamer is the one who is in it to not just run but finish the race.

Will we let the Lord sow His vision into our lives and reap *us* as unstoppable dreamers with Him?

There’s a whole world out there, waiting for the gospel to be carried to them by an army of unstoppable dreamers.

    NOW Dream

  25. 3 The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

God has done so many great things for me and I’m great full for everything He has done and the things He will do.

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

  26. In such a small scripture, it is filled with hope and expectation to see the goodness of God. To put an end to captivity, and replace it with joy, laughter, and singing. What a great witness this would be, and a great healing of the soul. “Now….In Jesus name.”

2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.

“Due Season…..No more tears, No more fears..”

  27. 2 Then were our mouths filled with laughter, and our tongues with singing. Then they said among the nations, The Lord has done great things for them.
3 The Lord has done great things for us! We are glad! (AMP)

Lord you are so good!! I am so glad and thankful for all you do and all your blessings. I sing praises to you and laugh with joy!!

  28. Im an unstoppable dreamer.
That and an unstoppable spirit. Thank you for yalls comments that explains whats really goin’ on.
    Thank u Jesus!

  29. 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Keep sowing…keep being faithful with attendance, tithes, offerings. Keep sharing God’s word. Keep praying and praising. Even when times are tough, and there’s pain in the offering, keep being obedient to His word and commandments. The Lors is faithful. About 2 yrs ago or more, I was given a word to not lose the vision. That whatever happened keep the vision and trust in God. Yes there has been tears. Yes there has been pain, and yea there has been heartache…but the Lord is still Lord and God. He still in control. He is the one that turns our captivity which lets me know He is always in control. It might be said, well, what about the promises? His word sustains to be able to keep believing, to keep trusting, to wait upon the Lord. His promises in the Word fill the heart with joy, hope and expectation. Without it anxiety, fear and confusion and dispair with a bunch of negative that drains your life creeps in.

    Here is a promise:
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Keep sowing into the Kingdom of God. He will bless and reward.

    Psalm 27:13-14
I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
    Wait on the Lord:
be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:wait, I say, on the Lord.

    Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing:for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Praise be to God for His unfailing love and faithfulness!!

  30. I decree and declare joy.
No one will take our joy this day.
    I decree and declare laughter.
May laughter fill your soul with happiness.
I decree and declare our tongues with singing.
May your soul sing and shout loud praises to the Lord.
I decree and declare joyful tears.
    Every sowed tear will reap.
I decree and declare the Lord’s Promises.
The Lords Promises wil not return void.
I decree and declare an awesome God!
Glory be to God for he has done great things.

  31. PAul said that we should be happy no matter what. We should praise the Lord and be gald at all times, but when He works on our behalf it is a time of even more joy.

  32. ILove to eat the Word

1 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.

These scriptures are a testimony for me and brother Zenn. This is exactly how it felt when I was released and can imagine it is how he felt also.

While I was on vacation, I underlined these scriptures anticipating the day that i would be free, but honestly nothing could prepare me for the fulfillment of the scripture.

I’m convinced the coming of The Lord will be. Our life will seem as if it were only a dream in light of eternity.

  33. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. (Psalms 126:5, 6 KJV)

I can remember that day when these words were spoken …”in the midst of thine tears, you shall see great revival”. And that day I understood, and agreed, saying ‘yes Lord’. It’s only through prayer(intercession), and the Word of GOD can AMERICA have great revival!! If it is happening in China, then we can expect nothing less here. We are at war(spiritual). We as the Church need to position ourselves, watch, pray, and be ready. Babies are being born into God’s Kingdom Today!!!
    There’s an Army rising up!!!!!!

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV)
    AMEN!

  34. Israel is once again experiencing the joy of being set free. They get to feel a fraction of what their ancestors felt in the Exodus. “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high.” (Lev 26:31). Their where no plauges, no tight fisted pharohs, or labor enforced slavery, and for 1/4 the time as with Egypt. But they were exiled. Freedom comes at an expense, they needed to turn away from the pagan influence Babylon was soaked in. God had essentially given them what they wanted, if they wanted to be a pagan nation then they had to leave his presence which he established in Jerusalem, because He is holy, and He declares that his people need be also. Because there were a few faithful Israelites God was merciful and made a way for them, just like He made a way for us through Christ Jesus.
Jeremiah 51:5 “For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.6Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.” The second coming of Jesus will be for the day of judgment, which will also consist of Him wiping out the evil doers who would not turn to Him fully. In Revelation 4 He gives us a very similar message that Babylon is being punished for her wickedness, and if you want to live, its going to have to be for Him. “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Rev 18:4). This reminds me of Lot and his wife, who were Gods only people in Sodom or Gomorrah, if we turn back to sin like Lots wife did we will too will fall into the fatal hands of Gods judgment. Come out of the world saints of God, we too can rejoice for we are no longer bound by the chains of sin, now that we are covered under the blood, set under the flow of anointing power.

  35. 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

    The devil is a lie!

I see my brothers and sisters in church wallowing in tears of distress. Days upon days of trouble. Years of sorrow. Merciless undertaking after merciless undertaking. Our lives are full of things that could make us cry.
BUT I have a God that when I sow tears he
Gives me a harvest of joy. The harvest is coming to the sorrowfull if they can only keep their eyes on Jesus. His reward is worth the tears.

  36. v6 He that goeth forg and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

    Thank you JESUS!
GOD does not lose count of our tears.
HE hears our prayers and see our tears.
