Luke 6

1 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

2 And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?

3 And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him;

4 How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?

5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

6 And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.

7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.

8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?

10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

11 And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;

14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,

15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes,

16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.

17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;

18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.

19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.

23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.

25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

  1. v16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.

JESUS PRAYED all night before choosing HIS twelve disciples. HE is our example to first pray before we do anything .
JESUS was our example in all things
To love GOD is to love others, by doing so we fulfill GOD’S highest law serving others without expecting anything from them in return .
We see that JESUS even loved Judas and was chosen to be the groups treasurer .
He was included when JESUS said that HE would love them unto the end.
This lets us know that NO ONE can say GOD ‘s love does not extend to them .
Judas will stand in judgment as a witness to anyone who claims that GOD’S love does not extend to him .
GOD’S love extends to every person .
HE freely gives it without condition or stipulation . JESUS taught that true love is demonstrated when we love our enemies.
No need to enter into hell having never repented of our sins. The Love of GOD paid the price of our redemption in full even before we were born . All
we have to do is just ASK for HIS forgiveness. GOD has already provided the means for our salvation . ( 2 Peter 3:9 .)

“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost Acts 2:38

  2. v36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful .

Lord help us to have virtues such as mercy , compassion , and a willingness to put others first .
Thank you JESUS for your GREAT MERCY !

  3. 45. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Which treasures are our mouths bringing, good or evil? This is something that we can change, and must be dealt with daily. If we want to have good treasures coming from our mouths, we must fill our hearts with good treasures – praise, worship, His Word, etc.

  4. 47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

When we come to God: hear what he says about coming to God
    1 Hear my sayings
    2 Do my sayings

There is a vast difference in hearing and doing! We must not only hear the Word of God, but we must do what The Word tells us.
If we can be doers of the Word we will be like a man that built his house on a rock and nothing can shake us. If we are hearers only we will be like one that has built only on the sand. When no proper foundation has been laid we will not be able to stand when trials come our way and believe me temptation will come.
There will be times when you will need all heaven backing you up to keep from making a wrong decision.
My prayer today and everyday is Please God keep your hand on me today and help me make good decisions. Because I have to live with the decisions I make today for the rest of my life!!!!

  5. Treat others in the same way that you would want them to treat you. “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to be repaid, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, so that they may be repaid in full. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to ungrateful and evil people. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. (‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭31-36‬ NET)

As a Christian it’s important to display the fruit of the spirit at all times, not when it’s convenient.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22-23‬ KJV)

  6. Verses 22-23 MSG “Count yourself blessed every time someone cuts you down or throws you out, every time someone smears or blackens your name to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and that that person is uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—skip like a lamb, if you like!—for even though they don’t like it, I do . . . and all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company; my preachers and witnesses have always been treated like this.” It is not always easy to count yourself blessed when these things are actually happening to you; but, if your not being bothered at all…..then you should really begin to be concerned!

Verses 27-31 MSG “To you who are ready for the truth, I say this: Love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer for that person. If someone slaps you in the face, stand there and take it. If someone grabs your shirt, giftwrap your best coat and make a present of it. If someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life. No more tit-for-tat stuff. Live generously. “Here is a simple rule of thumb for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you; then grab the initiative and do it for them! Some are not always ready for the truth; but, oh how blessed you will be when we can get a hold of IT and respond with IT.

Verses 35-38 MSG “I tell you, love your enemies. Help and give without expecting a return. You’ll never—I promise—regret it. Live out this God-created identity the way our Father lives toward us, generously and graciously, even when we’re at our worst. Our Father is kind; you be kind. “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.” Wow….what a promise!

The end of the chapter MSG version captions it saying “Work the Words into Your Life”. Verses 43-45 say “You don’t get wormy apples off a healthy tree, nor good apples off a diseased tree. The health of the apple tells the health of the tree. You must begin with your own life-giving lives. It’s who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds. Its time to work IT!

  7. 27 “To you who are ready for the truth, I say this: Love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. 28 When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer for that person. 29 If someone slaps you in the face, stand there and take it. If someone grabs your shirt, giftwrap your best coat and make a present of it. 30 If someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life. No more tit-for-tat stuff. Live generously.MSG
I have to admit these verses hit home with me this morning, it is hard to stand there and let someone accuse you or slap you but as Jesus said just stand there and take it. I had to come to the fact that there are people we just have to love and not be around. People/friends/family are going to give us a hard time about God and church if they are not in the truth. We have to live for God around all and let God work thru us. I pray we/you all have a blessed and glorious day.

  8. 1 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

2 And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?

There will ALWAYS be a Pharisee watching and talking. They don’t look at what they have done ONLY what you are doing.

  9. You are what you eat

    Luke 6:45 (KJV Strong’s)
” 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”

Whatever the abundance is is what will come out. It doesn’t matter if we do good for the most part, or if we act good, or play good. Our mouth will tell on us.

Treasure means (Olive Tree Enhanced Strong’s Dictionary) a casket, coffer, or other receptacle, in which valuables are kept

If we love, pray, read the word, listen to the word, give, and our filled with his spirit that is what will come out of our mouths.

If we hate, gossip, watch and listen to filthy entertainment, avoid prayer, and bible reading, and do not give this will also come out.

Jesus said you would know people by their fruits. Actions speak louder than words and fruit is the evidence of daily decisions of what to place in the treasury of the heart.

  10. The building plans.

The rock is Jesus. The earth is the world. Where do you put your trust in? The things of this life which will pass away, or the eternal things of God? Which are forever. I go to the rock of my salvation. I would rather be between The Rock and a hard place in a storm. Than out in the open of the beach in a storm. Choose you this day whom ye will serve!

  11. NLT 12 One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night. 13 At daybreak he called together all of his disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles.

Even Jesus prayed to God to decide who were going to be his disciples. Just like you asking you father “What should I do”. Jesus was asking his heavenly Father “Whom should I choose to be my disciples”, Jesus was seeking his Father’s advice.

Why would Jesus pick Judas as a disciple? Imagine how hard this would be for us choose an enemy to help us in the future. But Jesus said to love your enemy, and he had to fulfill prophecy.

NLT Luke 6:27 “But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you.

NLT Psalms 41:9 Even my best friend, the one I trusted completely, the one who shared my food, has turned against me.

We should always pray to our heavenly Father, asking let thy will be done.

  12. 9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?

10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

Miracles on the Sabbath day was in order in those days and should be in order in our day. We should have the faith and expect to see Miracles, Signs and Wonders every time we come into the house of the Lord. We should not be satisfied with anything less or with any thing that is ordinary.

  13. 18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.

I am still basking in the glow from last night. What a powerful move of God we witnessed for William Marcos! The blog prepared us on Tuesday; in chapter 4:33-35 In the meeting place that day there was a man demonically disturbed. He screamed, “Ho! What business do you have here with us, Jesus? Nazarene! I know what you’re up to. You’re the Holy One of God and you’ve come to destroy us!” Jesus shut him up: “Quiet! Get out of him!” The demonic spirit threw the man down in front of them all and left. The demon didn’t hurt him.

Mark 3:11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

  14. iLove to eat the Word

It looks to me as if Jesus is intentionally controversial in the synagogue. He knows the thoughts of the Pharisees and he knows how they are going to react. It seems as if he intentionally offends them. I thank the Lord that The Pentecostals of Fort Worth has a Pastor who is not afraid to challenge the congregation. I’m thinking a majority of the churches today however, try to pacify the people instead of challenge the people. Let’s be God Pleasers…Who said Biblical controversy was wrong anyway? Jesus spoke the truth and knew the Pharisee’s would be offended.

  15. 27, “But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,”
28, “Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.”
35, “But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.”
36, Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.”

Romans 12:14, “Bless them which persecute you; bless, and curse not.”
Romans 12:20-21, “Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him, if he thirst, give him drink; for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

It is not in our human nature to be kind to those who talk about us, treat us badly, or use us. But if we want to be called the children of the Highest ( the children of God), we must be merciful to them. We need to Love them, Do Good to them, Bless them, and Pray for them.

OVERCOME evil with good and let your light shine brightly for JESUS today.
Remember: He has made you and OVERCOMER!

  16. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

You have to love your enemies as yourself and treat them how you want to be treated!!😉

  17. 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Are you listening to what God has to say or are you just hearing it? The difference between listening and hearing is when you hear it, it goes in one ear and out the other, but when you listen to God you hear what he says and you obey it! Lord help me to not just hear your word but to obey it!!

  18. Floods r ushes down slopes in the rocky mountains sweeping every thing away in there path. If our walk is not good we have a weak foundation when trouble comes our way we will be swept away.

  19. 27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

This can be one of the hardest things to do; to do good to him that wrongs you. If we are to be the difference then we must do that which the world does not expect. We live in a society that is used to taking matter in their own hands and acting on what other people do to them. Yes it’s hard to treat and serve those that hurt you, or use you, but think about how much The Lord loves them, and how He might be trying to show His mercy, grace and love through you, the child of God. Perhaps the foe is only hurt by situations, by the religion and all the person really needs is of the real light of the gospel to shine through. Think about how many claim to be Christian and not really follow this example. Love can be a tough thing…yet our Lord Jesus loved us being still sinners.

  20. 6:14
Bartholomew is mentioned in all four of the lists of the apostles in the New Testament (Mt 10:3; Mk 3:18; Lk 6:14; Ac 1:13). There is no further reference to him in the New Testament, and the traditions concerning him are not trustworthy. Some scholars think that Bartholomew was the surname of Nathanael, who was led to Christ by Philip (Jn 1:45–46). The reason for this is that in the listing of the apostles in the Gospels the name Bartholomew immediately follows that of Philip, and the Synoptic Gospels never mention Nathanael, while John never mentions Bartholomew. This view has, however, not been conclusively established.

  21. v 39 And he spake a parable unto them,
Can the blind lead the blind ? shall they not both fall unto the ditch ?

As Brother Morgan preached last night
    ( Good teaching son.)
Using some of ur notes .
The problem was their hearts were blinded
with pride , madness , hatred, lust grief
    Sends the wrong stinky incense

v11 And they were filled with madness ; and communded one with another what they might do to JESUS ..

Seems like JESUS was accumulating enemies because of HIS Rightous loving and living .
The Phari – sees. …. Are watching with enevy, and jealousy , who rationalize their sin by attacking the godly. (Pride )

JESUS challenge ” search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life and they are they which testify of me .”
    John 5:39
The Pharisees were so blind they could not see ” TRUTH” with it standing before them

I am the way and the truth and the life.
    John 14:6

When one takes up the mantle of of ministry to others’ he will be a target of the enemy’s attack.
We must be ground in HIS LOVE and in a strong knowledge of CHRIST !
    ( RELATIONSHIP )

GOD humbled HIMSELF, we could never justify clinging to our own pride.
JESUS submitted to HIS FATHER’S Will and was unconcerned about HIS own reputation .
Likewise we should submit our lives to HIS WILL and to our Covering without regards to others thoughts.

LORD WE WANT our prayers to be accepted as a sweet smelling incense in your presence
Let the lifting up of my hands in prayer be accepted as an evening sacrifice
    Psalams 141:2 ( GOD’S WORD TRANS.)

THANK YOU JESUS for showing your GREAT MERCY once again upon the
Marcos family . We rejoice with them!!
    Praise GOD!!!!
Lets talk about what GOD IS DOING
    at POFW.

And her neighbours and her cousins
HEARD how the LORD had shewed great
mercy upon her, and rejoiced with her.
    Luke 1:58

  22. 21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Hallelujah nothing lasts forever! Sickness doesn’t last, sorry, problems, nothing all we should do is look past everything and keep our eye on the prize we will have for us in heaven

Hallelujah nothing lasts forever! Sorrow doesn’t last forever, sickness,

  23. 7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.

There will always be someone watching us, to see if we do everything right, trying to find some fault so they can talk about us,but God knows our heart and the life we live. Some people are simply used by the devil to try and discourage us, but we can be overcomers and live for God if we have the power of the Holy Ghost living in our heart !! Thank you Jesus for saving me !!

  24. But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.” (‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭49‬ NLT)

Take the time to listen if you have the opportunity to be taught. Not everyone is as blessed as we are to have great lessons taught every week. Why are we not taking the time to instill what is being told to us? If we don’t listen to the lessons, we will never learn. If we never learn, we will never grow.

  25. 35. But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil,
Our God is merciful and good! we have to learn how to do good to the evil. MY God help me!

  26. “And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.” The Pharisees although very knowledgeable, were so full of self that they could not see. If one becomes offended with the word of God, or the man of God, than one may want to exam one’s own eye; “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” One would be wise to exam self often, elsewise one may not beware of one’s own issues. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  27. 27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.
God teaches us how to be true Christians. Eventough our flesh want to do others wrong when we’re done wrong the bible say we ought to love our enemies. God teach us to love the way you want us to love. Don’t render evil for evil.

  28. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Each of these scriptures sums this up: treat others the way we want them to treat us. Also known as the Golden Rule. So, love-even your enemy, be merciful, forgive, and give the same way you want to be given to!

  29. Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. ” (‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭38‬ NLT)

Amen I recive it in Jesus name!
But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.” (‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭49‬ NLT)

    Jesus is my foundation!

  30. A Good Measure

Any cook or baker knows that a lot more flour can be squeezed into a measuring cup if it’s pressed down, shaken around and heaped over the top. That’s the kind of measure God wants to give us back after we’ve given to others. He even promises to pour out enough so that it will spill out into our laps. Ps 23:5 “..my cup runneth over”.

If we were shopping on the street markets of Galilee, would yu go to a vendor would you go to a vendor who had a cup with a false bottom so he could give you less than what you ask and pay for? Or would you go to the one who pressed down, shook, and heaped on some more? In Hosea 12:7 its mentioned how these merchants cheat and call themselves rich for doing so and gloat that they haven’t been arrested for it. God sees their dishonest scales and the money they posses from cheating people and it will be their only reward.
Cheating and stealing go hand and hand, stealing is against the commandments. God is generous so we should be generous, on top of our generosity toward others he will bless us.

  31. Treat others in the same way that you would want them to treat you. -Luke 6:31 NET

This verse if lived by will resolve many conflicts in our lives.

  32. Withered right hand !!!!! 6. And it came to pass also on another Sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. 7. And the scribes and Phar’-I-sees watched him, whether he would heal on the Sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. 8. But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth. 9. Then said Je’-sus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the Sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it? 10. And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other. Thank you for healing !!!! Thank you, I woke up with a song and praise in my heart !!!! Thank you,for allowing me to take another breath on this earth !!!! I AM VICTORIOUS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS !!!!!

  33. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

You are so wonderful God!!!! Kind to the unthankful and to the evil. Just because people are mean to us doesn’t mean we should be like that to others, we don’t know if the devil has them captive or just having a bad day. Help me Jesus to focus on you and not on others. Help me see, love, forgive, and be more like you Jesus. I want to be with you Jesus in heaven and I don’t want to be condemned for something that could’ve easily been fixed. Help me be obidient to your Word Jesus!!!!!!!

But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. James 1:22 (NLT)

  34. 23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Amen! Let’s make sure we follow the path of Jesus and continue on his journey he has laid out for us, for when that day our journey comes to end, we shall rejoice in the Lord. 🙂

  35. Are you hungry?

21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

When we are hungry for something in particular we seek it out. My wife sometimes says she is hungry for Chinese, so we go get it. We have the right as Americans to seek out what we want and get it. As Christians we have the same right. If we are hungry for a miracle we should seek it out and see it come to pass. If we are hungry for souls we should seek them out and see them comer to pass.

    Here is the answer….

    2 Timothy 3:10
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

You can be as hungry as you want to be but if you don’t do something about it you will never get fed.

If you are hungry for a miracle, do the work in prayer to recieve it.

if you are hungry for souls, do the work in evangelism to see them come.

    1 Corinthians 3:8
Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

    iWork because iHunger

  36. “A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered from thornbushes, and grapes are not picked from bramble bushes. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. (‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭43-45‬ NLT)

We can learn a lot from hearing someone talk. They will begin to speak of their passion (good or bad). What we talk about tells others what and who we are connected to.

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. (‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭5, 7-8‬ NLT)

  37. Building on a Firm Foundation Luke 6:46-49

Luke 6: 46, 49. To hear what Jesus teaches and not to respond is as foolish as building a house with no thought for its foundation.

Luke 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and have shut to the door, and ye began to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

  38. 48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

I am building I. The rock of Christ Jesus because I don’t wasn’t my world to fall.

  39. 1 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

Many times I have heard that specifics like numbers and dates and times all don’t matter, because Jesus knows ou heart and your intents, but if specifics didn’t matter, then why is Luke so specific as to make sure that we understand that this took place on the third sabbath??

  40. In Control

Jesus is in control and will provide for us. We are called to live by love, by giving and being as a minister to all, and to live by faith, trusting Jesus to take care of us and fill us back up again. He is able to provide abundance and knows what we need before we ask, so we can step out in faith with our trust in Him that we can love others abundantly as He has loved us abundantly and we won’t come up empty.

    Matthew 6:31-34
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

  41. 13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;

To be chosen by God is a great thing. We should not take it lightly, but fulfill our calling.

  42. I HEAR YA PREACHER

    WOW WOW!

What affirmation of the word of GOD to The Pentecostals on Sunday Night.

It is very simple the choice that needs to be made.

    WISE or foolish

    iPraise
    iPray
    iObey
