1 John 1

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

  1. 1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
    (ESV)

One of the hardest things to do when we sin is to confess. But the scripture clearly says IF WE CONFESS our sins God will forgive us, but the key to forgiveness is

    1) admit we have sin

    Psa 32:5
I acknowledged my sin to you,
    and I did not cover my iniquity;
    I said, ….

    2) Confess our sin
    (continue verse)
……“I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.

    Psa 38:18
    I confess my iniquity;
I am sorry for my sin.
    (ESV)

    3) Repent

When we truly repent from our sins we shouldn’t continue to do it over and over, even do God can forgive us over and over… that doesn’t mean we have open doors to continue in our wicked ways.

if God forgive us then we should live in righteousness…

    Ecc 7:20
Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.
    (ESV)

    BUT…
when we have a true conviction in our hearts and we have been forgiven why should we continue to go back and sin.

    2 Peter 2: 22
but it has happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

GOD have mercy!!! let me have a clean heart oh Lord.

Another important thing we should NEVER do is conceal our transgressions….

    Pro 28:13
Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper,
but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
    (ESV)

It’s 1,000 times better to obtain God’s MERCY than live covering up sin or be living in sin.

    • Psa 32:8
      I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
      (ESV)

      Psa 25:8-18
      8 Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in the way.
9 He leads the humble in what is right,
and teaches the humble his way.
10 All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness,
for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.
      11 For your name’s sake, O Lord,
pardon my guilt, for it is great.
12 Who is the man who fears the Lord?
Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose.
13 His soul shall abide in well- being,
and his offspring shall inherit the land.
14 The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him,
and he makes known to them his covenant.
15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord,
for he will pluck my feet out of the net.
16 Turn to me and be gracious to me,
for I am lonely and afflicted.
      17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged;
bring me out of my distresses.
18 Consider my affliction and my trouble,
      and forgive all my sins.
      (ESV)

      Psa 25:20-21
20 Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me!
Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.
21 May integrity and uprightness preserve me,
      for I wait for you.
      (ESV)

  2. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

God is waiting on us to confess that we need him to forgive us our sins. We need God to touch us today and remove all sin from our lives. If we will acknowledge we need God’s help we will live a much fuller life. God help us all overcome our flesh today to live for you!!!

  3. Verses 6-7 MSG “If we claim that we experience a shared life with him and continue to stumble around in the dark, we’re obviously lying through our teeth—we’re not living what we claim. But if we walk in the light, God himself being the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purges all our sin.”

John 8: 12 MSG says “Jesus once again addressed them: “I am the world’s Light. No one who follows me stumbles around in the darkness. I provide plenty of light to live in.” This little light of mine, I am gonna let it shine! Let it shine, Let it shine, Let it shine!

  4. ilove to eat More Word

1 John 1:5-6 KJV This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (6) If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

Wow. This scripture reminds me of when brother Henderson came and preached at The Pentecostals of Fort Worth. We all plugged in the light and it represented that we were connected to the source. That means when we are walking in darkness we have disconnected ourselves from the Light, the True Source. Wow.

  5. 2. (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

    5. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all

    John 1:1-5 KJV
    1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

    2. The same was in the beginning with God.

    3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

    4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

    5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

The smallest light can overcome the greatest darkness…let your light shine in this dark world, because the light is not from us, but from God within us!

    Matthew 5:16 KJV
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

  6. What Joy!!!!

From the very first day, we were there, taking it all in—we heard it with our own ears, saw it with our own eyes, verified it with our own hands. The Word of Life appeared right before our eyes; we saw it happen! And now we’re telling you in most sober prose that what we witnessed was, incredibly, this: The infinite Life of God himself took shape before us.

We saw it, we heard it, and now we’re telling you so you can experience it along with us, this experience of communion with the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. Our motive for writing is simply this: We want you to enjoy this, too. Your joy will double our joy! (‭1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭1-4‬ MSG)
And it is this our responsibility to share with others! And that is the way it should always be, sharing the gospel with others shouldn’t make you feel ‘forced’ to do it, but unrestrained, quick to share life. Don’t ever forget where The Lord has brought you out of. And I see many ‘ Christians looking like they have the life sucked out of them and have given up and thrown in the towel. We have been commanded to “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel..” Our mission field is our city!! As it has been said many times before “GOD BELONGS IN OUR CITY.” We are taking what rightfully belongs to us, all for His Kingdom and His Glory!!!

  7. When God takes something away, He takes it away for a reason. He takes it away to fix it and when we take it back, He has to start all over again. Let it go and keep it in Gods hands so we can move forward!

  8. 6 If we say that we have with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

We must do more than talk the talk, we must walk the walk and live holy.

  9. 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ

    Romans 10:14-15
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

    Luke 7:22
Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

It’s through the testimony of Gods power of what we see and hear that will open the doors for more people to come to God. We are blessed to attend a church with the demonstration of the Spirit evident, we see miracles. Unless we personally spread the word of what God is doing, the world will not know. How can they know unless they hear? How can they hear unless someone tell them? That someone is us. We are privileged to experience the blessings and favor of God, not so we can have it to ourselves rather so we can share it with others.

  10. This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. (‭1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭5-7‬ ESV)

When we receive salvation there is a change. We are no longer walking in the works of the flesh but the Fruit of the Spirit. Our lives should prove that. We are made new in Christ.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17-21‬ ESV)

  11. 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

According to the laws of science, darkness is not really matter or element or physical state of being, darkness is just the absence of light. When there is no light around or something blocks out the light then something has to take it’s place, which is darkness.

When we become the light of the world and the light of God’s word, we get filled with God’s light. But when we let it slip away from us or we let something block out our light, something has to fill the empty void, so the darkness fills the vote.

It’s why we have to be careful to not let anything block our light in our lives, and to not just let our light fade away to let the darkness come in. Just like a candle, we need oil to keep our light burning bright, that oil is the spirit of God. Don’t let the source of your light, the source of your fire be taken away from you. For in these last days we need MORE light and MORE fire in Jesus name!

  12. NLT 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.

The non-righteous really don’t believe in sin, because they don’t want to admit there is a God. They continue to deny God and let sin harbor in their hearts. But even the righteous allow sin to creep into there hearts. Some say, “Hey, I’ll go ahead and sin because God will forgive me.” This just shows they are not following God, not praying, not worshiping, they just are not in fellowship with God.

17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

  13. 5 This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there’s not a trace of darkness in him.

Let your Light Shine! For He is shining through us as a light in this dark world!

  14. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

The truth will set you free.

We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. So why is it that we judge others when they confess their sins? Do we not remember what God has done for us too. We want to preach to “forgive others” and ” don’t hold a grudge”. Yet we do. The truth will set you free. Speak the truth. Be forgiving. For what goes around will come back around to you.

  15. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Jesus died so we could live. He covers us with his blood. He lives in us, his love for us is endless. Thank you Lord for helping me turn away from sin and for forgiving me. Keep me away from all unrighteousness. Lord shine on me .

  16. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Amen! Thankful for the blood of Jesus! His blood wiped away all ours sins so we can live for him and begin a righteous life 🙂 he created us to worship Him but the devil makes us believe otherwise. I was so wrapped up in myself thinking about my “future” that I forgot the true meaning of life. Stay in the light because in just a blink God can come and it’s our choice if we want to go be with Jesus or go to hell!!! God created us to praise Him but at the end we have the choice if we want to or not!

  17. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Don’t let the devil lie and tell you that you have gone too far. God is waiting to forgive and accept everyone. Just ask Him. the devil is a liar!

  18. MORE JOY

3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

Often we miss out on opportunities to experience MORE JOY in our lives. We waste precious time discussing matters and situations that have nothing to do with GOD nor HIS Kingdom.

Fellowship is the KEY to MORE JOY. Fellowship with each other in JESUS, by conversing in and testifying of the wonderful works of GOD. We are privileged this wonderfully powerful information through our fellowship with Christ JESUS himself. Praying to HIM, Reading HIS Word and sharing what we have seen HIM do to and for others.

Lets purpose to share with each other and with the lost the wonderful things that we are witnessing JESUS do among us.

Just this past week at The POFW we witnessed 488 in service. 52 Holy Ghost filled (36) First Time and (16) Refilled and (3) Baptized in JESUS name. Bro. Marcos shared a prayer request with me, we prayed a specific prayer and the LORD JESUS answered for him.

Lets keep talking about what GOD is doing.

  19. AMP of 1 John 1:5-7
This passage of scripture made me think of Pastor’s message on Sunday night. “RUN With A MESSAGE”

This is the MESSAGE we heard from Jesus and now DECLARE (to make clearly known; state or announce openly; formally; or in definite terms) to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

We have to RUN With A MESSAGE and DECLARE It!

  20. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

We all have sin in our life, we must not deceive ourselves thinking we live a perfect life without sin, but instead confess our faults to God that he would cleanse us from all our sins, so we could live a pure and righteous life!!

  21. 5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

We have quite a number of people who claim to be Christian, but do not follow the path of righteousness. They walk in darkness and think that it is ok, that they can get away with it, that they are not doing anything wrong. This is why it is so imperative to study the WORD of the LORD, to know and be familiar with TRUTH and have it engraved on your heart and in your mind. There are many opportunities to fall away from our walk with God, but again, that is why it is so crucial to have that relationship, stand on the WORD of GOD, and have fellowship with one another.

  22. 6 So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.
7 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. (NLT)

There are no grey areas, no little sins. Your acts are either done in light or darkness. Who are your acts representing? Are they good examples shining the love and truth of God for others to follow?

  23. 1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

The Word of God, though it talks about the past, it helps up with the present and the future, because what happened in the past is still happening now.
When you ask God a question but say he didn’t answer… look in his word, that where he is talking to you.

  24. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
God is wanting us to confess our sins to him, he knows what we do and when we do. But God wants us to use our mouth to confess to him. If we confess our sins and turn to God and turn away from the world God is just to forgive us of all unrighteouness. Once we go down in the name of Jesus our sins are washed away to be remember them no more. So if Jesus forgets and forgives why do we as humans bring up back sins. God help to forgive ourselves as God forgives us.

  25. This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts. (‭1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭5-6, 9-10‬ NLT)

God is all good and there is no darkness in Him, if we follow Him then there shouldn’t be darkness in us. We all sin everyday weather it’s road rage or thinking a bad thought or saying a white lie….they all tie together and this is why praying everyday…yes EVERYDAY is important. We all need to cut our flesh down and get on our knees and focus on God.

We have the forty days of fire and life and everyone is trying to get our mind off of this next level experience for our walk with God and we all need to focus if we really want to reach the mountain top. Just like Pastor said in track you can’t just give it your all at the beginning you have to keep your strength all the way through don’t waste all your strength at the beginning.

How we can keep our strength through this race of fire is keep the word strong in our hearts and to keep the prayer going as well.
The prayer keeps God in us as our breath of life and the word is our energy like food. So both are an importance in this race.

  26. So, walk in the light, and be washed by the blood of Jesus Christ, and maintain that fellowship. When you slip, “SIN”, confess it and repent, and continue on with God, don’t be like ADAM, and hide. But, admit your sin to your Father, and repent, be washed in the blood. “Stay the Course”….”He LOVES U”…and “U Turns are allowed”, remember the Protocol Son……………………………………..

“He’s faithful & just to forgive, confess, be washed”……………………………..
“May God have mercy upon this Sinner”……”ME”……………………………………..

  27. v9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all
    unrighteousness.

Confessing our sins to GOD results in forgiveness and cleansing, which is an important key in our walk with GOD.

Psalm 32:5. I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

    MORE REPENTANCE
    MORE CONFESSION
    MORE FORGIVENESS
    MORE CLEANSING

  28. 1Jo 1:9-10
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
    (ESV)

To confess is to humble yourself and be honest not only with yourself, but with others and God. To speak with your lips the truth and admit you have done wrong before man and God, doing this is the only way we can walk in the truth and with God and be part of God’s people, because He cleanses us and forgives us, only then is when we are truly walking in the truth, and God is always true to His Word.

  29. Yes
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy MAY be full.

We have the opportunity to be full of joy, if we follow HIS WORD and love HIM.
It’s up to us, whether we obey HIS WORD and obey HIM out of obligated fear or because we love HIM. If we do it because we love HIM, we WILL be FULL of joy, if not we won’t.

  30. 1 John 1:3 (NASB Strong’s)
3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.

This is the heart of the great commission. We speak what we have seen and heard in hopes that others may have the same opportunity. This opportunity isn’t to be seen and heard. We aren’t doing this to be the center of attention. It isn’t about making a name for ourselves.

We do this in hopes that others can have access to the fellowship with us and the Lord. This is the true prize for evangelism.

  31. 1 John 1:7 clearly states walking in the light and having fellowship with his body the church. It goes hand in hand with proverbs 4:18 the path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn shinning ever brighter to the full light of day. As believers we must keep moving in the grace of God and not fall behind ,ready to move into greater light , greater survice , greater love , greater sacrifice as he wills.

  32. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

One that says they have no sin has just sinned, and one that says they have never sinned is untruthful, even with one’s own heart. Albeit one that will sincerely ask the only true God (Jesus) for forgiveness, shall receive it. Dear God, please forgive me of my sins, and order my steps; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. In God we trust! What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  33. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

Thankful that He is faithful and he does not do things half way. When we are filled by him we have gain full joy. Yet, it is up to us to maintain that joy by knowing His words and obeying His teachings.

  34. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

Too many year of my life were spent playing church. Growing up as a musician in the church, I also grew up hiding from God behind the instruments. Just like in the natural, you stumble or fall easily when you try to walk around in the dark.
The deception is since you get away with doing as you please and living as you please and God still using you, it makes you feel right to a certain point.

  35. 1 John 1:7 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

I was reminded of the words that bishop Wright preached at the POFW, the fruit will trace back to its roots. What do we see here? We see that fellowship with one another can trace back to the root, having light, or like brother Henderson preached, shows that we are connected, and thus have Jesus, the Word, the Light in us. Our fruits will let people know what we are connected to. To God be the glory.

  36. More Unity

Sin separates us from God as well as each other in the body of Christ. But Jesus is the answer. He cleanses us from our sins and restores communion with Him and the church, allowing us to be in proper order for His blessing and salvation. As we walk daily with Him in the process of holiness, we walk in the process of continually washing and being regenerated in Him. Just as in the natural, it’s not enough to simply wash every so often when things start getting dirty enough the issue need to be confronted and taken care of. Addressing our sin is a daily matter, and Jesus provides us with our daily bread and the waters of His Spirit to empower us to live overcoming lives with more unity with Him and His church.

    Psalm 133:1-3
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

    2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

  37. Light !!!! 5. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. John 1 : 9 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 2 Cor. 6 ; 14 7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Je’-sus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 Kings 8 : 46 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Ps. 32 : 5 10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. I want to walk in light JESUS !!!! He washes the sin away !!!! Thank you for forgiveness !!!!

  38. 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

God can not live where sin lives freely and the other way around. Sin has no place when we are constantly filled with the Spirit. We are the temple of the Holy Ghost and need not forget that. Everywhere we go he should be with us, everything we say he hears us. We need to check ourselves and make sure Jesus is walking into the same places that we are because if he can’t be there then there is no reason we should even go in the first place.

Some people aren’t forgiven of sin because they choose not to confess that they are even sinning. Whether it be pride or deception if we are unrepented then what good does it to us to keep asking God to forgive us. An unrepentant spirit will ask for forgiveness and then continue in disobedience or what have you. God keeps his promeses but he wants us to take ownership of over our actions!!

  39. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word

Lord Jesus christ I come humble before you today father, keep me from sinning in my own ways that,I think is right but there not, during this trail. Instead I ask you for your help jesus, for I need you in my life help me keep my eyes on you Jesus, for you are holy lord and all of my hope rests in you Jesus. For if we claim we have not sinned in this world, we are making ourselves to become liars in this world for his mighty and powerful word is not in us.! In Jesus Name Amen!!!!!

  40. 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Jesus said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (Jhn 8:12). The apostles heard this message spoken from Jesus who has “called you out of darkness into his marvelous light” (1 Pe 2:9). Jesus passed them the baton, and they are passing it down to the churches. We have the baton message and need to pass it on. There is no darkness (sin) in God and He is coming back for a bride without spot or wrinkle. “There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light.” The light of life is the Holy Ghost, if we don’t live in it and teach others, they will be lost to darkness. “How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn!” (Isa 14:12) Satan was once called morning star, son of the dawn, yet he fell from Heaven. His sin bought him a one way ticket to earth and hell. Jesus’ blood bought us salvation and life. Pass the baton! Let your light shine!

  41. Let your light shine!

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

It is easy to spot a true follower of Christ. You can tell by the light that shines on them. Their path is always lit no matter how deep the valley. Valleys are beautiful in the light but scary in the dark.

  42. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

To confess it to admit. When we admit our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us. We must first acknowledge our faults. In today’s world, this is hard for people to do.

  43. This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. (‭1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭5-6‬ NLT)

We can’t preach it and not live it. God has expectations for those who claim to be His. God doesn’t approve of sin, so if we are consistently full of sin do you think He would accept us? Let’s add to the light, not the darkness

  44. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: (‭1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭5-6‬ KJV)
