4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
12 Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

He gave us commandments because He loves us and wants us to be saved; let’s show Him we love Him by following those commandments and one day we can see Him and worship at His feet!
9Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.
The importance of reading our bible daily, it builds your relationship with Jesus. It so easy to put the bible aside and say I’ll read it tomorrow. We all are guilty of this. We have to stay disciplined and committed in building our relationship with God.
The beginning of this chapter once again reminds of this very important commandment about love. Verses 5-6 NLT “I am writing to remind you, dear friends,[c] that we should love one another. This is not a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning. Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.”
Verse 9 CEV “Don’t keep changing what you were taught about Christ, or else God will no longer be with you. But if you hold firmly to what you were taught, both the Father and the Son will be with you.” Same verse NLT “Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.” Heed the warnings….hold on to the Truth that you were taught and do NOT wander off away from God.

Wow, this is a good scripture to hold onto. How would you win these people to the Lord, first don’t invite them to your house. An option might be to go to their house and teach Exploring Gods Word.
2 because the truth lives in us and will be with us forever. (NLT)
There will always be times when we struggle and let’s be honest with the coming of the Lord drawing near, struggles will only become harder to endure, IF we let them. Our God is greater and stronger than anything we could ever face and His truth will remain even when the things of this world fade away. Cherish and keep His word hidden deep in your hearts so no matter what may come, you are ready with the word to carry you through.

One of the hardest things for a child to understand is the reason we set boundaries. To be honest I love my children so much I want to keep them safe, have the best, and live Holy before God. The wonderful thing about living for God is that He loves us in this same manner. His love extends beyond our wavering faith. His love is unconditional. A external or never ending always existing God can only produce an external, never ending, always existing Love. We need to walk in His love and never walk away from it.

8 Ever be keeping a watchful eye upon yourselves in order that you do not lose the things we accomplished, but that you receive a full reward.

8 Keep guard over yourselves, so that you may not lose the results of your good deeds, but may receive back a full reward.
I believe good stewardship and watchfulness are synonymous terms. It is very difficult to be successful taking care of the master’s goods without keeping an eye on them.
David shows us a good example of watchful stewardship.
1 Samuel 17:20 (KJV Strong’s)
20 And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle.
Before David went as his father commanded he ensured there was someone there to watch over the sheep. No doubt he employed this same practice when he was anointed to be the king by Samuel.
In the New Testament sheep are saints, and members of the body. To be a good steward of the sheep God has blessed us with we must keep a watchful eye on them.
David knew when to help bind the broken leg of a sheep because he was there watching. He knew when to attack the lion and the bear because he was watching.
We must watch so we can hold info that which has been given to us. Whether sheep, or doctrine. It is all important to God and we will all give account.
2 John 1:2
For the truths sake which dwelleth in us and shall be with us forever.
we must tell the truth and not lie to each other have truth FOREVER says JESUS . AMEN
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Be careful who you bless. The term God speed is used to wish success for someone usually when starting a journey. To wish someone success who is against you is disadvantageous to the cause of Jesus Christ.
I say this because many deceivers have gone out into the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward. Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son. (2 John 1:7-9 NLT)

Amen our reward is greater than anything in this world. The flesh enjoys new things and carnal things but no better reward than being eternally with My God! I can’t imagine how beautiful it’s going to be in heaven being able to not feel anymore sorrow or pain. 🙂 He died for us so we may spend eternal life with Him and for that I am grateful! I will praise you always Jesus!!!!!
MORE LOVE
6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
Love is defined as obedience. There is no greater display of LOVE in Life than to keep the desires of another. JESUS receives MORE LOVE from HIS children as we walk continually in obedience to HIS WORD.
Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
To LOVE GOD at this level we will walk in obedience to HIS WORD, HIS WILL and HIS WAYS.
To fully LOVE GOD and experience MORE LOVE from HIM we must also LOVE one another.

“Look to yourselves”
Watch Out, Be on Guard, Stand Your Post. The more deceivers around, the more we must be on guard. The verse says for 2 reasons:
1. “that we lose not those things which we have wrought”
It would be such a shame for all of our work for the Kingdom of God to be in vain. Don’t lose the conviction, the pure heart, the relationship.
2. “that we receive a full reward”
Hold steadfast in the faith, and stand true with God.
Revelation 3:11 (KJV)
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Don’t allow anyone to take any part of your crown, don’t lose any part of it. We gain our full reward when we stand true to Christ and remain persistent in our relationship with Him.

Obedience to God is us showing our love to him, we cannot disobey his word and stiil say that we love him. But for those who obey him, it means we are following in his footsteps and walking after the path he creates for us in our lives. And that’s what we need is to walk the path that God has created for us.
There are a lot of smooth-talking charlatans loose in the world who refuse to believe that Jesus Christ was truly human, a flesh-and-blood human being. Give them their true title: Deceiver! Antichrist! And be very careful around them so you don’t lose out on what we’ve worked so diligently in together; I want you to get every reward you have coming to you. Anyone who gets so progressive in his thinking that he walks out on the teaching of Christ, walks out on God. But whoever stays with the teaching, stays faithful to both the Father and the Son. (2 John 1:7-9 MSG)
So many lose out, because they have settled for the things of the world that are only a temporary fix. They’ve become deceived. They havebecome numbed to the gospel of Christ, to the moving of the Holy Ghost, which can only bring life, revive!
Somethings need face to face conversations; even in today’s society or technology.

We must consider what we are texting each other. An lol after a hurtful comment does not resolve hurt feelings. If it is important, it should be saved until we are face to face with the intended recipient.
vs10 -11
If any one comes to teach you and he dosent believe what Christ taught dont even invite him into your home. Dont encourage him in any way. If you do you will be partner with him in his wickedness.
And be very careful around them so you don’t lose out on what we’ve worked so diligently in together; I want you to get every reward you have coming to you. We can not just throw out the things we do not want to live by, and let our minds start to wander off in thinking about the things of this world! But we must stay faithful to his word, for every word in the Bible is for every one of us, not just a few! Lord help me to remain faithful to your word in every thing I do!!

As we have been told in the past we have to get our face into the word and know the word so we are not lead the wrong way. Be careful who you are listening to and what advice you are getting and from who. If the advice is against the church and the leaders then run as fast as you can away from them. Don’t hang with people that are going to drain you of your victory!!
MSG – 1-2 My dear congregation, I, your pastor, love you in very truth. And I’m not alone—everyone who knows the Truth that has taken up permanent residence in us loves you.
3 Let grace, mercy, and peace be with us in truth and love from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, Son of the Father!
4-6 I can’t tell you how happy I am to learn that many members of your congregation are diligent in living out the Truth, exactly as commanded by the Father. But permit me a reminder, friends, and this is not a new commandment but simply a repetition of our original and basic charter: that we love each other. Love means following his commandments, and his unifying commandment is that you conduct your lives in love. This is the first thing you heard, and nothing has changed.
Reminders from the Word of God of what our purpose here on earth is: To love others as HE has commanded and lead them to His truth!

It is imperative we read and follow the word of God. If we don’t, we will not know how to properly live for God.

Holding steadfastly to the commands and doctrine we have received in the word is a must. We cannot add to nor take away from His word or we are then deceived. His word is the light for our path.

We don’t need to run away from what God has in store for us, we need to stay and get get closer to God through the word.
“For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” There is a movement that all ways (beliefs) will lead to God (Jesus), however one would be wise to take heed of what sayeth the word of God (Judge). Dear God, let me not fall asleep or be deceived; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. In God we trust! What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. There’s nothing like face-to-face communication. It makes it more personal and also gives more information. You could have one sentence written down on paper or screen and if you have five people reading that sentence you will get five different opinions on how it should be read. But no one can put in the feeling or say it in the right tone then the person who wrote it. Also with face-to-face communication with our heavenly Father Jesus Christ, nothing can compares. I’m thankful that I have direct access to Jesus. I’m thankful that we did not have a confessional booth. I can go directly to my Daddy and speak to him face-to-face.
WE MUST CHERISH THE TRUTH MORE THEN ANYTHING
We need to examine our ministries relationship in light of our commitment to the POFW vision.
One thing I have notice is that energy follows when leaders personal belief align with church’s values. When we eliminate hypocrisy and deception from the church, LIBERTY & POWER prevail.
In this Chapter John uses the word TRUTH 5 time in the first 4 verses which I believe he is telling us to UNDERSCORE the NECESSITY of INTEGRITY.
As LEADERS we must value TRUTH MORE than anything else. When truth presides in church we get several results such as trust among the leaders, we have less mental clutter, people have the freedom to be transparent and we as leaders have credibility when we speak or minister to someone.
Like this Sunday I was supposed to take my neighbor to church but when it was time to pick her up, she said she wasn’t feeling good so she didn’t go with us, so as I left her door, I said I will come and check up on you when I come home from church and she said Ok. So as we came home, I was really tired and it had stated to rain and I was not planning on going at all to be honest, but something just stopped me and directed me to her door, so I told my husband go with me, so we did we nock on the door and her daughters open and her mom was on the couch so I told her we just wanted to check up on her see how she was and she was glad we did and as we talk I said well you like us to pray for you, and she said oh please I need it so as she walk across the room I was able to see the hunger of God in her life, so we started to minister to her and when we finish she just started telling us how she was raise in church but she lost her way through the years…. MY POINT with this testimony is that if I would had not check up on her as I said I would, I WOULD OF LOST ALL CREDIBILITY with her. That’s why is so important for us to walk in all truth just not just by the word of God but also that our actions are of truth actions.

The truth is important. You can’t just listen to anything and still be holy. This is why it’s important to guard ours ears. You don’t want that filth coming in. When our ears, heart and mind are open to God’s word, we can do great things.

True love.
2Jo 1:10-11
10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, 11 for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.

We must be careful not to let anything that is not the truth into our homes. We can apply this not only to our physical home but to our heart and mind, if we are not careful to what we watch listen or even hear we can be taking part of something that is not in accordance with God’s word and that can have a major effect on our spiritual life.
9-11 Anyone who claims to live in God’s light and hates a brother or sister is still in the dark. It’s the person who loves brother and sister who dwells in God’s light and doesn’t block the light from others. But whoever hates is still in the dark, stumbles around in the dark, doesn’t know which end is up, blinded by the darkness. MSG.
All is know in how you love or treat your brother and sisters. Have the right testimony show the right testimony, love, help, serve, sing, and always give joy everlasting.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
To transgress the law and not abide in this doctrine, the doctrine of one God. We need to understand this oneness message and not confuse it with anything short. We must understand this doctrine and abide in it if we want to be saved. We will have both the Spirit and the flesh, we must be born again before we can enter into the kingdom of God! Understanding that the father and the son are one! Amen

keep your self separated from the world
And don’t encourage the doing of the the people without his doctrine
For if you wander beyond the teaching of Christ, you will leave God behind; while if you are loyal to Christ’s teachings, you will have God too. Then you will have both the Father and the Son.

If we walk in love then the rest of the commandments just fall into place. Obedience is the true test of love. Commitment follows obedience. So you cannot have commitment without obedience and both are the actions of love.

We must stay very cautious about what we tell others. Over the last few years I have really been watching myself that I try to bless what God has called cursed.

Important to know, if any Mormon or catholic priest or any person comes bring “good tidings” or any thing that is of, by, though, and only with Jesus in word or in deed preaching holiness and repentence, and baptism in water in the name of Jesus, do not bid him a welcome. Do not partake in that evil. Like Lee Stone King said, Jesus is the answer.

When you have a friend you have a relationship. There are things you tell your close friends that you don’t tell just anyone. Having a true personal relationship with God will enable you to maintain the teaching of truth. You will receive revelations from God of what his word teaches. The importance of spending time in the word is paramount. How will we know the way if we don’t study the roadmap? Jesus is the only way to heaven.
Loving More

Walking after the commandments of God is an integral part of loving others. In this present day, we are bombarded with messages of how “love is acceptance” but love is not acceptance of what God hates. Our integrity to the Word of God is a key factor in determining our ability to love others and reveal to them in our lives who Jesus is. By loving others more in this way, we help define “love” to those who do not know it.
Romans 12:9 NLT
Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.
Remember, if they don’t confess Jesus Christ came in the flesh. They are deceivers & an antichrist..

It is imperative that we continue to strengthen our relationship with God. Without a constant connection, relationships break apart.
No relationship= no God
no God= no reward
This small epistle was most likely written by John in the late first century in Ephesus. His remarks about false doctrine are targeting the Gnostic belief that the Son did not come in flesh. This teaching was heresy and leading many to hell.
Many false doctrines come to us today but we can’t follow them. We must hold onto the truth and follow after Christ.

Lord Jesus Christ I come humble before you lord, for I need help father desperately,for we are all gods children,for we walk faithfully and in righteousness in the direction where the lord wants us to go, because of the truth of the word of God we his children are victorious and conquers, for we have the passion to teach the word of our lord Jesus Christ and save the lost souls for they direct there selves into there own direction were they think is right but for what they do Jesus I ask you humbly to forgive them,for what they do that is not right in your eyes father for which it lives in us for it will always be with us for we are your children forever interity !!!! It is joy to a parent when their children walk in the truth of the Gospel.
2 For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

The truth will set you free. The truth is in our hearts and will be there for ever. Love God as he loves us. His mercy be upon us all.

Everyone we surround ourselves with should abide within the doctrine of Christ otherwise we risk being roped up into their evil deeds just as v. 10 says.
And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
John makes it clear Obedience=Love. When children obey what their parents have asked them to do it’s not always because they want to or even agree with the task. It simply the child humbling, and submitting themselves to the authority of a parent. A righteous parent will not lead their children astray. If we train up a child in the way they should go they will not part from it (Prv 22:6). John commends the “elect lady” (vs1) for her children were “walking in truth” (vs4) like todlers, believers have to be trained to “walk” in truth. The Truth+Obedience=Love.
Doctrine is so important. You might not realize that it makes such a difference if people just believes if not the same.

I’m so thankful for TRUTH …this truth is not something that merely comes and goes, but it is that ” which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever”
MORE WALKING IN HIS DOCTRINE
