Leviticus 19

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy.

3 Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.

4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.

5 And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the Lord, ye shall offer it at your own will.

6 It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire.

7 And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted.

8 Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the Lord: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.

10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the Lord your God.

11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.

13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the Lord.

15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am the Lord.

17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.

19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

20 And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

21 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the Lord, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering.

22 And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the Lord for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.

23 And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.

24 But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the Lord withal.

25 And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the Lord your God.

26 Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.

29 Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

30 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.

31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the Lord.

33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

35 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

36 Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the Lord.

  1. 6 Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the Lord.

    Amen God is good.

  2. What a powerful chapter this morning…thank you Jesus for your Word. Verses 33-34 MSG reminds us to treat everyone with respect and love them as one of our own as it says “When a foreigner lives with you in your land, don’t take advantage of him. Treat the foreigner the same as a native. Love him like one of your own. Remember that you were once foreigners in Egypt. I am God, your God.” There is room in the house of God for EVERYBODY as Pastor Cornwell always, always reminded us. Don’t dwell in your past; but, remember where He brought you out of and through. Help us Lord as seek your will and your way.

  3. 2….for I the Lord your God am holy.

3….I am the Lord your God.

4….I am the Lord your God.

10….I am the Lord your God.

    12….I am the Lord.

    14….I am the Lord.

    16….I am the Lord.

    18….I am the Lord.

25….I am the Lord your God.

    28….I am the Lord.

    30….I am the Lord.

31….I am the Lord your God.

    32….I am the Lord.

34….I am the Lord your God.

36….I am the Lord your God

    37….I am the Lord.

It’s sad how often God has to remind us of who He is. We see His creation and His mighty hand at work every day but we still let it become common and mundane to us and we take if for granted so He has to remind us yet again.
Lord, I pray that I become more focused and aware of who You are at all times and act accordingly.

  4. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord. (‭Leviticus‬ ‭19‬:‭18‬ KJV)

This is how you know that you have truly forgiven. When you don’t need to seek out revenge or ‘karma’as the world would say. Forgiveness allows you to continue to love thy neighbor without holding anything against them in your mind, in your heart, or in your actions towards them. Love and forgiveness as a Christian truly displays the character of Christ. I am thankful that this is preached and taught at POFW. We all come from different backgrounds, different traditions, but we are all called and are children of the LORD. I say this because it’s so easy to judge others instead of accepting them, and embracing them with the love of Christ.

LOVE a word that is so freely used, without any true meaning or action behind it. Love gives all of oneself despite the pain one has caused and intended to destroy you.
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭10‬:‭12‬ KJV)

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. (‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭11-12, 20-21‬ KJV)

  5. iLove to grow in the Word

““When you harvest the crops of your land, do not harvest the grain along the edges of your fields, and do not pick up what the harvesters drop. It is the same with your grape crop—do not strip every last bunch of grapes from the vines, and do not pick up the grapes that fall to the ground. Leave them for the poor and the foreigners living among you. I am the LORD your God.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19:9-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Wow, the farmers in today’s society strip the fields bare, but in bible times they intentionally left some behind to help the poor. What an awesome concept. It’s also interesting to note that the poor still had to work for the scraps.

  6. 14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the Lord.

Think about what this verse says, “Thou shalt not curse the deaf.” Now, if a person is deaf, they would not be able to hear any curses said against them. What does it matter if you curse that person? It matters because this is one of God’s creations. It makes no difference whether the person hears you speak matters against them or not. God hears it. It’s not about doing things against someone that cannot hear you. It is about the speaker and their relationship with God.

Additionally, don’t talk about someone or listen to someone talk about someone, behind their back, when they can’t defend themselves. 2 Corinthians 12:20 For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:” When we are backbiting we are speaking things against a person that cannot hear us. Is this any different than cursing someone who is deaf? We are hurting our own soul when we backbite or curse the deaf.

    Romans 1:28-32
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

  7. 35 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

36 Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the Lord.

Do no unrighteousness. Keep my Sabbaths, do not cut the edges of your fields. God is good, all the time. Here we go then. This is all that he wants for us a balance. All that we have to do is follow after God. He will provide as long as we are faithful and praise him. Like pastor said last night you can’t give God praise grudgingly, I’m paraphrasing. Pretty much follow the his statutes, and judgements, and do them. The Lord will bless you for doing this, he does not bless a mess. Follow after God and he will be faithful to do all that you ask of him…..Have a blessed day…Amen

  8. 37 “You must be careful to keep all of my decrees and regulations by putting them into practice. I am the Lord.” (NLT)

It says, “…by putting them into practice.” We’ve all been called to rise above the sin of this world and separate ourselves to serve Him. We know there is only black or white, no shades of grey; we know what’s sin and what’s not. Often we just amen the word of God as it flows one ear and out the other. How often though do we actually put to action, His commandments? Just a small example would be saying, “God is the only one I worship, I would never worship other gods.” Well although that might be true, we must realize anything can be a “god.” I like the way this song puts it: “Anything I put before my God is an idol. Anything I want with all my heart is an idol. Anything I can’t stop thinking of is an idol. Anything that I give all my love is an idol.” We can’t just go through the motions of living in a sinful world telling ourselves a big fat lie that oh no I don’t sin or do any of those bad things. Let’s start being aware of our actions, words, and lives we lead, that they would obey the commandments of the Lord.

  9. 9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.
10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the Lord your God.

    Luke 6:35 (KJV)
35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

    Matthew 5:44-45 KJV But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

    BE KIND!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  10. He came to fulfill the covenant

18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.

Another proof that God is Jesus for he repeated the same in Mark 12:31
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

We need to see and pray that others eyes will be open to the truth that God is Jesus right pled in flesh on Manx the same. For He came to fulfill the covenant and restore, reunite, men and God. May we never forget whom we serve and may we set aside any difference and reunite heart to heart with our brothers and sisters. For He is Holy and we must be Holy and follow His teaching. Love one another as thyself. In Jesus Name Amen

  11. 30 “Keep my Sabbaths and revere my Sanctuary: I am God. 31 “Don’t dabble in the occult or traffic with mediums; you’ll pollute your souls. I am God, your God. 32 “Show respect to the aged; honor the presence of an elder; fear your God. I am God. MSG
What does the 10 commandments say about the Sabbath?
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. The 10 commandments are in Exodus 20.
We are to live for God daily in our everyday life but we are to keep the Sabbath Holy and do nothing that day. I have been told thru the years that on the Sabbath you don’t even make your bed (I don’t know if that’s true or not) but we should give God our ALL. V.32 is something I have taught my girls from day one you are to respect the elderly the ones older than you is your elder. It really gets me when I see church kids cut off running around and almost knock over an elderly. Parents let’s teach our kids to respectful and let the elderly go out the door while you hold it before you. If you see an elderly needing help stop what you are doing and help out that person. Have a blessed day!!

  12. Lev. 18:4
In these verses one is to respect mother and father, who are God’s representatives (v.3); (2) to observe God’s sabbaths, since He is the Lord of time (v.3); (3) not to turn to idols, since He is Lord alone (v.4); (4) to bring the peace or fellowship offerings and keep His services (vv.5-8).

  13. 32“Stand up in the presence of the elderly, and show respect for the aged. Fear your God. I am the LORD.

Today society and the young seem to have no respect for those who are older than them. They treat them as equals and speak with them as though they are BFF (best friends forever). Whether at work, school or at a store, the youth just don’t respect their elders as they should. It’s so evident at schools, where teachers are disrespected all the time. You see it at public events, when children disrespect their parents, and parents just ignore it.

Our youth need our prayers daily, they are constantly reminded at school they have the right to do as they please without fear of being reprimanded.

    Pray
    Until
    Something
    Happens

  14. God gives his laws and instructions to protect our minds, souls and body. Following those instructions and obeying his law is the best for us.

  15. 37 “You must be careful to keep all of my decrees and regulations by putting them into practice. I am the Lord.”

    Put them into practice!

Its one thing to “talk-the-talk” but can we “walk-the-walk”

  16. BE HOLY

Notice the expectations outlined in the command to be HOLY.

    1. GOD is HOLY = Be imitators of GOD.
    2. FEAR Mother and Father = Honor and Respect your Parents.
    3. KEEP my SABBATHS = Do not schedule work on Sunday.
    4. Turn NOT to idols = Do not worship lifeless objects.
    5. Dont make gods = Do not make an object that you will worship/serve.

I am hungry to be HOLY. I have PASSION to be like JESUS.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  17. 28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.

Our bodies are the temple of the Lord. We are given clear instructions not to cut our flesh (pierce) and not to print markings uptown (tattoos), because we are His. He purchased us with HIs blood. We should keep our temples pure and holy because we have the Spirit of God living inside us. If we defile our temple, inward or outward, it is a sign that He is not reigning on the throne of our heart.

  18. Lev. 19:2 & 37 (NLT)
    2) Give the following instructions to the entire community of Israel. You must be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.
    37) You must be careful to keep all my decrees and regulations by putting them into practice. I am the LORD.

All the verses inbetween these two verses teaches us the “do’s and don’ts” of living so that we can be holy like God.
    Put Them Into Practice!

  19. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord .
    Leviticus 19:18 KJV

When the culture today says that if someone hurts you or does something against you, we must act upon our pain and anger and get back at them the same way they hurt us. God how ever is saying not to be like our culture but be different and show them love, even though its not easy sometimes. The objective is for them to see Christ in us! Then He recieves all the glory.

  20. 2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy.

    Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Because we are made in His image shouldn’t we be Holy like He is Holy?
Like how when a child grows up they start acting like the parents even the parents they don’t see as much or at all. Its genetic.
Because our Father is Holy shouldn’t we be Holy too? YES!
Not just the way we dress but also the way that we talk/text.

  21. 9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.
10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the Lord your God.

So many instructions here that we must follow but it is interesting to notice their ‘welfare’ system in these days. The land owners were to leave behind grain, fruit, etc for the poor to come and glean-like Ruth did in Boaz’s fields. The poor still labored for their food, they just didn’t own the land nor make profit from the sale of the grain. God does provide but he still expects us to help ourselves. I’m thankful for the blessings of the Lord that he provides in our time of need.

  22. 2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy

““You must be careful to keep all of my decrees and regulations by putting them into practice. I am the LORD.””
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19:37‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We are made in the image of God, therefore if He is the most holiest, why do we struggle so hard to live a holy life? Do we just talk about living Holy or do we actually do it? Yes we are human and we do make mistakes but we cannot let that stop us from striving to live a holy and perfect life. With everything in us we should desire to live a life pleasing to God, and we can do that by putting in to practice everything His word says! Lord help us to live a for You and You alone, to seek Your presence everyday and not let the darkness of this world consume us but rather Your Holy Spirit come in us and lead us on the path of Holiness and Righteousness!!

  23. Leviticus 19:2

Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy.

Even in this world we live in now days, we need to be apart from the things of this world. Be Christ like! Things have change from the time of Moises to today… But we all have to face same trials as on the days of Moises that’s why God ask them to be Holy as He ask us to be Holy.

  24. 2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy.

The word sanctify means to set apart from the world and to make holy and to dedicate to God, We need to dedicate our life to God and make everything about him and let everything we talk about be about God!!

  25. 14) thou shalt not curse the deaf nor put a stumblingblock before the blind but shalt fear thy God I am the Lord 15) ye shall do no unrighteousNess in judgment thou shalt not respect ttyl8r he person of the poor nor honour the person of the mighty but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor 16) thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor I AM the LORD 17) thou shalt not thy brother in thine heart thou shalt in wise rebuke thy neighbour and not suffer sin upon him 18) thou shalt not avenge nor bear any grudge against the children or thy people but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself I am the Lord

Help those that are week and not make fun of them
    – pick up those who fall behind and not talk about them but pray from them

  26. 33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

To me it’s telling me to never let anyone feel unwelcome, if I’m at church teat people like they are my closest relatives like part of my dna, because that’s what Jesus would do. ..When Joe and I came here there was no lack of love and welcoming, thank you Jesus for being The Lord My God.

  27. 33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
these verses tell us how important it is to treat other people. We should love our neighbor as our self and we should be kind to everyone that we see! the Bible even says that some of us may entertain strangers that are actually angels without even knowing it. Be kind to one another!

  28. And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
We ought to love one another like how Jesus command us too. You don’t know that very person that you treat wrong would be the very person that would help you get out of a situation, and how humbling that would be. We wont make it to heaven unless we do.

  29. 2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy

  30. 34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

Let us never forget where we came from. When we forget it is so easy to try and judge those that are curently in sin and are “strangers” to righteousness. Let us build relationship with them and lead them out of Egypt to make our Lord their God.

  31. There is always someone in the field

    Leviticus 19:9-10

9 “When you harvest the crops of your land, do not harvest the grain along the edges of your fields, and do not pick up what the harvesters drop. 10 It is the same with your grape crop—do not strip every last bunch of grapes from the vines, and do not pick up the grapes that fall to the ground. Leave them for the poor and the foreigners living among you. I am the Lord your God.

When every door has been knocked, and every house has a flyer. When every neighborhood has been touched and as many as can be invited have been invited there is still someone in the field.

Jesus said that the harvest is white and ready and that we should pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers in his field.

There is always someone who needs Jesus and always someone we can reach. Everywhere there are potential candidates for a miracle. People really don’t want to be depressed, sad, suicidal, or addicted. They are in need and God sent this church to this region to find as many as possible to fill his church.

There is always someone in the field that can be reached. No territory, no state, no country, and no region is utterly lost. There is always someone we can tell the glorious gospel to.

  32. Leviticus 19:35 Do not use dishonest standards when measuring the length weight of quantity. Use honest scales and honest weights and honest ephan and an honest hin. I am THE LORD your God who brought you out of Egypt keep my decrease and all my laws and follow them. I am the Lord.

  33. 24 But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the Lord withal.

We are in the year of 2016, which 16 being 4 x 4, this should be the year that out of the fruit in our lives we produce, should be something that gives praise or glory to God. And when our fruit is given to the glory of God and his kingdom, then it shall be considered holy by God!

  34. “You must be careful to keep all of my decrees and regulations by putting them into practice. I am the Lord .”
    Leviticus 19:37 NLT
    http://bible.com/116/lev.19.37.NLT

We must be doers of the word not only hearers. Our actions speak louder than our words. We have to put this Word into action and mix the word with our faith. God has given us in his word instruction to living a victorious life. All we have to do is obey his commandments and precepts and we shall be blessed.

  35. Wow!!! U can’t get this type of teaching from anyone else but the Lord. I don’t know why anyone would want to not follow the Lord because above everything He is Jesus!!!! There is no one else as perfect as my Lord!!!! Thank you Lord for our words and wisdom.

  36. The chapter illustrates the guidelines that separated the Israelites from the occult practices of Canaan at that time. Many of the principles can be applied on a fern real level. There appears to be room for flexibility in application.

  37. 28. You shall not aje a y cuttings for in your flesh for the dead , nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.
    32. You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man, and fear your God : I am the Lord

I remembered when I was a child in Mexico, in the small towns the kids used to knee before their father or grand father and kiss his hand. I used to kiss the hand of my father.
How far is this generation of the love and respect for the elders.
God is the same yesterday and today. Amen!

  38. 11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

The truth is important and lies will bring division in a relationship. The people that we encounter on a day to day basis need to hear what the truth is. It is our duty as Christians to tell them what the truth is. God’s word will always prevail.

  39. v18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thy thyself: I am the LORD.

By choosing to do right things, we really our greatest conflict….
    Conflict with GOD.

” Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another ” Romans 12:10

  40. My phone is not allowing me to copy the verses but my thoughts are from vs 13-15.

God calls us to respect all others no matter their circumstance in life. We should esteem all people because God created them and loves each of them. We should love our neighbor as ourselves. Even so when the need for judgement arises we should be unbiased, not caring where they are in social status. Everyone should be treated equally and justly despite money or lack of it. Our world has often gotten these concepts backward. Handicapped people are mocked and picked on and judges and juries can be bought with a price. We as children of God are held to a higher standard.

  41. 37 “‘Keep all my decrees and all my laws and follow them. I am the Lord.’”

God gave us the do’s and dont’s why is it so hard for us to follow them? He repeatedly told us he is the one and Lord so why don’t we obey his words? I pray that I can have a faithful and obedient heart that will follow the Lords path for what he has in plan for me.

  42. In this chapter yes it seems like a lot of rules, but what I saw a lot of was God protecting everyone.
“Do not insult the deaf or cause the blind to stumble. You must fear your God; I am the LORD.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

““Do not spread slanderous gossip among your people. “Do not stand idly by when your neighbor’s life is threatened. I am the LORD. “Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. “Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19:16-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Our God may have seemed strict in certain areas but He did it with love and it was not to just protect ourselves, but as well as others around us.

  43. 2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy. 3 Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.

  44. “Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy.” The word of God (Jesus) is very clear on reverence and respect, and how to deal with situations. Dear God, help us (me) to comprehend and heed your word. “In God we (I) trust”. “One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”. May God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  45. “Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the Lord.” The Lord simply stated observe all, and do. The Lord still requires the same today, which we do not have a right to pick and choose as we feel. God help us to observe and do, in Jesus name.

  46. Fresh Fire

6 It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire.

7 And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted.

Each day we have to bring a new sacrifice to the Lord.

    Lamentations 3:
22 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

    1 Corinthians 15:
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

It is not good enough to rely on yesterday’s sacrifice.

    Exodus 16:

18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.
19 And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.
20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank:

God is leading us to a daily relationship with him.

  47. 3 Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.

4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.

This reminds me of the young man in the New Testament who wanted to go to heaven.
“Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭18:20-25

Looks like the young man’s god was money/stuff.

  48. 14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the Lord.

Spirtually speaking this gives insight on what to pray against for those who are suffering. Let their ears be open to hear your Word. Let their eyes be ooen to see the goodness of you. Let their spirit be open to receive you.

  49. “” ‘Obey all of my rules and laws. Follow them. I am the Lord.’ “”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19:37‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

“How can a young person keep his life pure? By living in keeping with your word. I trust in you with all my heart. Don’t let me wander away from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart so that I won’t sin against you.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭119:9-11‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

  50. ” And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field” Gives the right to the poor in Israel to glean after reapers, as well as to the unreaped corners of the field. At the same time, the field owners were not obliged to admit them into the field until the grain had been carried off the field; and they seem also to have been left at liberty to choose the poor whom they deemed the most deserving or needful ( Ru 2:2,8). In forming governmental laws for the Israealites to follow this one would be like food stamps. He revealed himself to Abraham as Jehovah-Jireh “Jehovah will see” will provide, the name given by Abraham at the scene of his offering up the ram which was caught in the thicket on Mount Moriah (Gen 22:14).Those who truly needed the generosity of this law would benefit from it. God proves to be the peoples provider even through the people.

  51. “You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.”(Leviticus‬ ‭19:18‬ ‭NKJV)

We should not take matters into our on hands for that it is not the righteous way of our lord and take vengeance upon ourselves instead recognizing vengeance is the lord, holding a grudge only hurts ourselves holding onto unforgiveness, For the love we have for our lord we should have it towards our neighbors!! In Jesus Name!!!

  52. 37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the Lord.

The Lord wants us to follow his commands because is it pleasing and honoring to him. He’s teaching us to live a righteous life for our own good.
