Deuteronomy 11

1 Therefore thou shalt love the Lord thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.

2 And know ye this day: for I speak not with your children which have not known, and which have not seen the chastisement of the Lord your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his stretched out arm,

3 And his miracles, and his acts, which he did in the midst of Egypt unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and unto all his land;

4 And what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the Lord hath destroyed them unto this day;

5 And what he did unto you in the wilderness, until ye came into this place;

6 And what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben: how the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the substance that was in their possession, in the midst of all Israel:

7 But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the Lord which he did.

8 Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it;

9 And that ye may prolong your days in the land, which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

10 For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:

11 But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:

12 A land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.

13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.

16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;

17 And then the Lord’s wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the Lord giveth you.

18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.

19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:

21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

23 Then will the Lord drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.

24 Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.

25 There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the Lord your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.

26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;

27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:

28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

29 And it shall come to pass, when the Lord thy God hath brought thee in unto the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt put the blessing upon mount Gerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal.

30 Are they not on the other side Jordan, by the way where the sun goeth down, in the land of the Canaanites, which dwell in the champaign over against Gilgal, beside the plains of Moreh?

31 For ye shall pass over Jordan to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God giveth you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell therein.

32 And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.

  1. 8 Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it;

    9 And that ye may prolong your days in the land, which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

  2. “Be careful to obey all these commands I am giving you. Show love to the LORD your God by walking in his ways and holding tightly to him. Then the LORD will drive out all the nations ahead of you, though they are much greater and stronger than you, and you will take over their land. Wherever you set foot, that land will be yours. Your frontiers will stretch from the wilderness in the south to Lebanon in the north, and from the Euphrates River in the east to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. No one will be able to stand against you, for the LORD your God will cause the people to fear and dread you, as he promised, wherever you go in the whole land. “Look, today I am giving you the choice between a blessing and a curse! You will be blessed if you obey the commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today. But you will be cursed if you reject the commands of the LORD your God and turn away from him and worship gods you have not known before. (‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭11‬:‭22-28‬ NLT)

    When obedience brings the favor of GOD upon your life. There is no telling in how far the LORD can take you. This is what America needs. To live a life of obedience unto GOD. But of course we know that it begins with us the church. It is our responsibility to lead others to Christ. One soul at a time, leading them to truth as being a living example of His word.

    This nation can be blessed and not cursed, the choice is ours!!!

    And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (‭Joshua‬ ‭24‬:‭15‬ KJV)

    But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD : your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. (‭1 Samuel‬ ‭15‬:‭22‬ NLT)

  3. 12 A land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.

    17 And then the Lord’s wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the Lord giveth you.

  4. “Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Wow, American would be wise to go back to these principles. I believe all out revival would break forth from the renewal of these practices

  5. Verses 18-21 MSG “Place these words on your hearts. Get them deep inside you. Tie them on your hands and foreheads as a reminder. Teach them to your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning until you fall into bed at night. Inscribe them on the doorposts and gates of your cities so that you’ll live a long time, and your children with you, on the soil that God promised to give your ancestors for as long as there is a sky over the Earth.” Same verses AMP “Therefore, you shall impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul, and tie them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as [h]bands (frontals, frontlets) on your forehead. You shall teach them [diligently] to your [i]children [impressing God’s precepts on their minds and penetrating their hearts with His truths], speaking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall write them on the [j]doorposts of your house and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as [k]long as the heavens are above the earth.”

    Psalm 34:1 NLT “I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.”

  6. 2. And know ye this day: for I speak not with your children which have not known, and which have not seen the chastisement of the Lord your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his stretched out arm,

    7. But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the Lord which he did.

    Luke 12:48
    “…For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required…”

    13. And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

    14. That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

    I feel the rain, I feel the rain
    I feel it falling down on me
    I feel the rain, I feel the rain
    I feel it falling down on me
    The former and the latter rain together
    And I’m not talking about the weather
    The Holy Ghost rain is falling down on me

  7. “You are about to go across the Jordan River. You will enter the land and take it over. The Lord your God is giving it to you. You will take it over and live there. When you do, make sure you obey all of the rules and laws I’m giving you today.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:31-32‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

    It may seem that right before we move all temptation, all storms and trials break loose. It may seem that everything that can be shaken will be shaken, but this verse has encouraged me to stay focused, righteous, faithful and obedient. We have a blessing to look forward to.

    “But you will soon go across the Jordan River. The land you are going to take over has mountains and valleys in it. It drinks rain from heaven. It’s a land the Lord your God takes care of. His eyes always look on it with favor. He watches over it from the beginning of the year to its end. So be faithful. Obey the commands the Lord your God is giving you today. Love him. Serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

  8. 27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: (MSG)

    Many blessings are conditional…they will require obedience.

    At times we want to believe that we can do what we want and the Lord will bless us because He loves us. Yet we are only fooling ourselves to believe that He’s mercy is acceptance.

    Obedience is our greatest asset!
    Obedience can bring the Glory of God into your life!

    Romans 5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

    Genesis 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

  9. Wow!!! Just how many times do we have to be reminded to obey? ALL THE TIME!!!
    The times have changed, but the desires of the flesh are still the same today, to be disobedient and do as we wish! HELP US JESUS

  10. For those who Love the Lord and obedience to the Lord will surely enjoy his blessings and most important of all will experience daily fellowship with their Lord.

  11. 2 And know ye this day: for I speak not with your children which have not known, and which have not seen the chastisement of the Lord your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his stretched out arm,
    3 And his miracles, and his acts, which he did in the midst of Egypt unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and unto all his land;
    4 And what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the Lord hath destroyed them unto this day;
    5 And what he did unto you in the wilderness, until ye came into this place;

    This is why we need to tell everybody about JESUS. Because not everybody knows how powerful GOD is, so we must give them an idea, maybe through our relationship with GOD they will get it.

  12. THE UNCERTAINTY OF THE JOURNEY

    11 But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:

    The reality of our JOURNEY with JESUS is the fact of the path is not always clear, smooth and straight. The land was promised and given, however it was covered with hills and valleys.

    Mature christians learn to use the hills to choose their path through the valleys. We know the land is not flat and even. GOD made it so that the rain of heaven could fall and be dispersed and channeled through valleys to its preferred destination.

    Understanding THE UNCERTAINTY OF THE JOURNEY will bring us to places of challenge and opportunity, is important. We must learn to follow the will of GOD regardless of the contour of the path. There are hills of rest and rejoicing and there are valleys of challenge and decision. We must press our way through them all.

  13. “There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the Lord your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    We may be small in number but mighty in faith

  14. 16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;

    The warning of deception. Many are of the mindset that the grace of God is going to cover any sin they choose to partake in. However, His word is clear, those that are deceived will have the anger of the Lord kindled against them.

    We are responsible to write the commandments on our heart, guard them, teach them to our children and our grandchildren and instill in them the importance of walking in truth, and the consequences if they don’t walk in truth.

    Praying that the eyes of the deceived would be opened and they would return to the “Father’s House” before judgement comes to their lives.

  15. Deut. 11:26-28
    26) Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse.
    27) A blessing (God’s favor and protection), if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:
    28) And a curse (to inflict harm or punishment), if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way, which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

    Obedience brings blessings, the favor and protection of God, in our lives.
    Disobedience brings a curse, harm and punishment, in our lives.

    OBEY God’s Word and be Blessed!

  16. 13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

    14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

    15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.
    these verses in this chapter show me how much God is willing to bless his people if they simply serve him and do his will. God consistently shows a theme in this chapter that if you will do as I command then I will bless you. it is the desire of God to bless his people but we must make up our mind that we will serve him with our whole heart. and when we do there is nothing that will be withheld from us.

  17. 19 Teach them to your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning until you fall into bed at night. 20 Inscribe them on the doorposts and gates of your cities 21 so that you’ll live a long time, and your children with you, on the soil that God promised to give your ancestors for as long as there is a sky over the Earth. 22 That’s right. If you diligently keep all this commandment that I command you to obey – love God, your God, do what he tells you, stick close to him MSG
    This verse hit home today for me but I’m thankful that my girls were raised in the truth and know the truth. We can only teach our children but they have to build the relationship with God and themselves.
    Teach your children right from wrong when they get older and get out of the church they still know the truth. Raised on a Pentecostal pew and you try to leave that behind it is always with you. Living in the world after living for God you think you are having a good time. I pray today for the backsliding children of POFW and for them to open their eyes and realize this is not the time or hour to be playing around. It is time we turn our hearts whole heartily towards God and do what he has called us to do.

  18. What a Righteous, Just, and Fair God we serve!!!!

    26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;

    27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:

    28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

    He gives us all and it is up to us to decide what we will like in our lives. God created us with a free will to choose. If we follow His commandments and will for our life He will bless us. Now, this does not mean that nothing wrong will ever happen in our lives.
    Matt 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
    Plus as long as we are in God’s Team the enemy will try to battle with us but he will NEVER, EVER, will win for JESUS GAVE US VICTORY!!! So what exactly Is what I am trying to say? That the choice to be blessed or to be curse is ours!!! We can go through life VICTORIOUS, BLESSED, AND FULL OF JOY by simply submitting and following God’s commandments with humility and obedience or be in total miserableness and never find fulfillment in life in the world. Why do you think that famous people that seem to have it all finish in suicide?? Because WE WERE MADE TO PRAISE HIM, TO HAVE HIM IN OUR DAILY LIFE!!!! They die searching for that thing that will complete them and that Bro & Sis is Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

    Thank you Jesus for your commandments, thank you for dying for us and resurrecting on the third day, thank you for giving us the comforter the Holy Ghost, thank you for free will for it makes our love for you even sweeter, thank you for the former and latter rain that we claim will fall daily at POFW, thank you for boldness to share your word with everyone that crosses our path. In Jesus Name we pray Amen!!!!

  19. 24 Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.

    We can either live are life’s for the lord and eternal life or live for ourselves and travel on a dead end road

  20. 26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
    27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:
    28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

    Our choices have power-power to bless or curse. We choose to serve our God and be blessed but many have fallen into the trap of doing things their own way. Deception is to blame. We must be vigilant over our thoughts and desires to see that they match up to living for Him-following his word. He will bless you if you keep living for him, you will see your dreams come to pass, just keep your eyes on God.

  21. 8 Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it;

    IT’S BETTER THAN EGYPT

    God’s like hey, just be obedient, show me the Love I showed you, love me with all your heart, I give you this land it’s better than egypt, it’s a peaceful place, you don’t have to work hard, I’m gonna send rain, I’m gonna give you power over your adversaries, the food is already waiting for you, pick a house it’s yours. Just love me as I love you, I’m your God! God Loves us, hes showing us the promise land its right down the road, all we have to do is be obedient, Love him like he loves us, he’s already prepared it! I’m ready come on may 15th!
    God is great and greatly to be praised!

  22. And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.

    Simply put. Obey God and listen to what he has to say. There are blessings in obedience.

  23. 27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:

    28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

    Well there you go!!!!! Are we obeying the commandments of God??? Just because He gave us life doesn’t mean we can do whatever we want. We were born to praise Him. Don’t let the things of this world consume us that we loose the focus and the will of Jesus!!!

    Let them praise the name of the LORD, for at his command they were created, Psalm 148:5

  25. It’s your choice! So, choose! I want to be blessed!

    28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

    “Choose”…………

  26. Deuteronomy 11:13-14
    13 “If you carefully obey all the commands I am giving you today, and if you love the Lord your God and serve him with all your heart and soul, 14 then he will send the rains in their proper seasons—the early and late rains—so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil.

    Harvest, wine, and oil are all defendant upon our obedience and not God’s willingness to provide.

    He has already said he wants to give us these things but we decide how and if these things will come. Our obedience, love, and service to God will determine if souls will be saved, or the Holy Ghost will be poured out, and if the anointing will come.

    It’s not just a list of dos and don’ts. God is telling us that the ball is in our court. If we want to see end times apostolic revival then we must choose to obey, love, and serve God.

  27. GOD promise to bless Israel if they obey his commands

    26)NLT look today I am giving you the choice between a blessing and a curse
    27) you will be blessed if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today
    9) if you obey you will enjoy a long life in the land the LORD swore to give to you ancestors and to you their descendants -a land flowing with milk and honey

    But God also said that if the didn’t obey his commands they will be cursed
    16) but be careful don’t let your heart be deceived so that you turn away from the LORD and serve and worship OTHER gods 17) if you do the LORD anger Will burn against you he will shut up the sky and hold back rain and the ground will fail to produce its harvests then you will quickly die in that good land the LORD is giving you

    We must also plant ourselfs in commands to enable us to grow and have a better relationship with god

  28. 11 But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:

  29. 31 For you are about to cross the Jordan River to take over the land the LORD your God is giving you. When you take that land and are living in it, 32 you must be careful to obey all the decrees and regulations I am giving you today.

    Wow, looks like us the POFW getting ready to cross the Jordan River, but we’ll be crossing highway I-20. God has given us the land, and we are going to take it over, and claim it. We’ll spread God’s word even further and faster through west side of Ft. Worth!

  30. “Therefore, be careful to obey every command I am giving you today, so you may have strength to go in and take over the land you are about to enter. If you obey, you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord swore to give to your ancestors and to you, their descendants—a land flowing with milk and honey!
    Deuteronomy 11:8-9 NLT
    http://bible.com/116/deu.11.8-9.NLT

    Our obedience to God’s commandments and His word goes a long way that not only affects us but our futre generation. Obediance is one of the keys to go and take what God has guven us. If we obey we can conquer anything in Jesus Name.

  31. “But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the Lord which he did.” The word of God (Jesus) clearly identified that they did not simply hear, but that they seen with their own eyes. One that has seen with one’s own eyes and still has doubt or disbelief, is not thinking clearly (“And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”) Dear God, open our eyes and ears. God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  32. 26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; 27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: 28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

  33. In this chapter its been a constant reminder of how we should always keep Gods commandments, and to love God with all of our hearts minds and soul. There was also a contact reminder of all the miracles that God has done for the Israelites. To assure them that God can do anything and if he done it before he can do it again. This is really encouraging to know!

  34. 22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

    What great benefits we get just by being obedient and loving the Lord. He literaly takes care of us driving enemies out. We are victorious because of him. It is a choice that we all must make, to obey and be blessed or not and be cursed. The flesh might not like it becuase it does not like to submit but the blessings far outwheigh the crucifying of the flesh.

  35. 22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

    The word cleave in this passage is the hebrew word “dabaq” which has a few meanings, the one I think we would know is to stick or to cling to. But it also means to keep close or follow closely. It also means to “catch”

    I think we have had times in our lives where it feels like God’s voice has been silent in our lives and we don’t know what to do. It’s actually quite simple, God just wants to see if we love him enough that we are willing to chase after him and catch him. We shouldn’t throw in the towel and just assume that God doesn’t love us anymore and that we are on our own. No, God wants us to search after him even more, to pursue him and catch up to him, to be determined to hear his voice no matter the situation in our lives.

  36. 8 Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it;
    9 And that ye may prolong your days in the land, which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

    We have a great opportunity in front of us as we look at moving into the new building, and in order to see what Jesus has for us, we must keep His word. I am excited about all that He is doing, and going to be doing, as we get to see prophesy become fulfilled before our very eyes.

  37. 19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

    So when should we teach our children? When we sit down, when we are walking, when we lay down to sleep, and when we get up in the morning.

    It reminds me of my family when they tell me we are too involved at church. I say I’m gonna get busy about Gods business so God can take care of my business.

  38. 1 Therefore thou shalt love the Lord thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.

    If you love GOD with your whole heart then the rest of this verse should be seen as a privilege and not have to be asked of us.

  39. 7 But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the Lord which he did.

    We must testify of what God has done and be an example of righteous living. When God has done something in our lives but we sit in church, not praying or praising Him, we do not lead the way for new babes to understand what is pleasing to God. We have seen God’s goodness and mighty acts, and so it is our responsibility to help disciple new babes and “pass the torch” to the next generation.

  40. “So love GOD, your God; guard well his rules and regulations; obey his commandments for the rest of time.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭MSG‬‬

    Everything you do, say, and see will fall onto your children. They retain everything that their parents put into action. As leaders to a growing younger generation we need to be the best examples we can be. We must honor and love God and His commandments.

  41. Deuteronomy 11:5
    What He did for you in the wilderness until you came to this place.

    There is a lot of people who have been brought to this church, we might know their past or why God is bringing them here. All I know is why I came to this church and how hungry I was for spiritual incounter with God. This is a place where I came to heal, to forgive and to renew my bows with God. I was in the wilderness until I came to this church where I saw God’s mercy upon my life and the life of my husband.

    You might not know how you touch our lives the first time we came to POFW but you did. So the same kindness and love and passion you show me, let us ALL show the same passion and love for all those kids that come in the bus, YES some of them are bad kids, they can’t be disrespectful, but we have to understand, THEY ALSO COME FROM THE WILDERNESS, Out therein wilderness you have to survive some how. They don’t know any better. BUT WE DO, so let us show them what GOD had show us when we came into this place.

  42. Deuteronomy 11:22 If you carefully observe all these Commandments I’m giving you to follow to love the Lord your God to walk in obedience to him and to hold fast to him then the Lord will drive out all these nations before yo
    and you will disposses nations larger and stronger than you. Every place where you set your foot will be yours your territory will extend from the desert of Lebanon and from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea. No one will be able to stand against you. The Lord your God as he promised you will put the terror and fear of you on the whole land wherever you go. See I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your that I am giving you today. The curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the command you today by following other gods which you have not known. When the Lord your God had brought you into thr land you are entering to possess you are to proclaim on Mount Gerizim the bkessings and on Mount Ebal the curses. As you know these mountains are across the Jordan Westward toward the setting sun near the great trees of Moreh in the territory of those Canaanites living in the Arabah in the vicinityof Gilgal. You are about to cross the Jordan to enter and take possession of the land your Lord your God is giving you. When you have taken it over and are living there be sure that you obey all the decrees and laws I am setting before you today.

  43. In chapter 10 Moses describes the need to have a circumcised heart. Here he explains why love is so important in obeying God and his comandments. A heart that is far from God is far from obedience. Love and obedience go hand and hand in following the commandments. Their is protection and strength that comes from the Lord in being in line with following after him. The same is true for us and if our love for God comes first then obeying God will come natural. Not a set of rules but reminders of things to protect and strengthen our spiritual walk where he desires to lead us.

  44. “For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs: But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven: A land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:10-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    He was talking about the promise land. It was a land filled with hills and valleys. It was something hat had ups and downs. Why is it in church we think that we shouldn’t have to go through some things or that something is too difficult. Jesus made the promise land to have difficulties just like our lives. It doesn’t mean that it’s Easy. Even the promise land had ups and dow
