Job 41

1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?

2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?

3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?

4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?

5 Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?

6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?

7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?

8 Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.

9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?

10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?

11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

12 I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.

13 Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle?

14 Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.

15 His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.

16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.

17 They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.

18 By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.

19 Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.

20 Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.

21 His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.

22 In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.

23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.

24 His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.

25 When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.

26 The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.

27 He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.

28 The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble.

29 Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.

30 Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire.

31 He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.

32 He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.

33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.

34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

  1. This chapter in the MSG is captioned “I Run This Universe” as verse 11 says “Who could confront me and get by with it? I’m in charge of all this—I run this universe!” This reminded me of a little song we sing in Sunday School called “Who’s the King of the Jungle?”:

Who’s the king of the jungle?
Who’s the king of the sea?
Who’s the king of the universe,
and who’s the king of me?

    I’ll tell you: J-E-S-U-S is,
    he’s the king for me;
he’s the king of the universe,
    the jungle and the sea.

  2. 11. Who could ever confront Me and force Me to repay him? Everything and everyone under heaven is Mine! The Voice

This verse goes right along with part of Pastor’s sermon yesterday; God created everything, and owns everything!

    John 1:1-3
    1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
    2. The same was in the beginning with God.
    3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

    Psalm 50:12
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

    Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
    KJV

  3. He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.

33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.

34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

  4. Job 41:11, “Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.”

Psalms 24:1, “THE earth is the LORD’S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”
Psalms 89:11, “The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fullness thereof, thou hast founded them.”

    It all belongs to God!

  5. 34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

“He sees every haughty thing; he is king over all who are proud.””
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭41:26‬ ‭TLV‬‬

“An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21:4‬ ‭KJV

Humility is such an important fruit. God cannot use us if we have pride in our hearts. It says right here in Job that we serve another king if we keep pride in our hearts or keep high places in our lives.

  6. ““Can you catch Leviathan with a hook or put a noose around its jaw? Can you tie it with a rope through the nose or pierce its jaw with a spike? Will it beg you for mercy or implore you for pity? Will it agree to work for you, to be your slave for life? Can you make it a pet like a bird, or give it to your little girls to play with?”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭41:1-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Leviathan sounds like sin. We cannot rule or control sin. We cannot play around with sin. Sin cannot be a pet. It will not beg you for mercy or agreed to work for you or to be your slave for life. It is quite the opposite. If we give sin the opportunity it will play with you and make you it’s slave. We will be crying out for mercy. Sin will always keep you longer than what you intended and you always go further than you wanted. Lord deliver us from leviathan.

“And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  7. Job 41:5 (NLT)
5 Can you make it a pet like a bird,
or give it to your little girls to play with?

Years ago I was in a car in Arlington and I looked out the window and saw the most hideous creature in a vision. It was absolutely terrifying. It’s skin was gray and slick like a dolphins. It had rows of razor sharp teeth, and eyes that burned with a fiery hatred. Each of its limbs was disproportionate to one another, and I could just feel fear like a tangible substance emanating from it. I knew that I was helpless in a fight with this abomination.

Then I looked and saw an Angel. It was powerful, and emanated strength. He was taller than any man, broad shoulders, and thick muscles. He wore animal furs, and carried a long sword. His wings were massive and foreboding. He would truly be a formidable foe, but I could sense righteousness, and authority coming off of him.

Then I saw the demon again. But this time it’s demeanor had changed. It still looked the same but in comparison to the mighty angel of God it seemed to me as a tiny puppy. Harmless, defenseless, helpless, and easily detestable.

Our adversary is weak and powerless in the face our our almighty God and his angels. There is nothing to fear, worry about, be concerned about. We have been given power over the enemy!

The next time you have a trouble, problem, or what seems like a spiritual attack. Don’t look at it from the eyes of humanity and it’s strength. Instead compare it to the power of God and his infinite power, and glory.

    Like the old songs says

Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in his wonderful face, and the things of this world will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace.

  8. 11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

another verse that says “who has given me anything that I should repay him”? God owns everything he is the maker of heaven and Earth. the Bible says he stretched forth the heavens alone. What a Mighty God we serve!

  9. 11 Who has given me anything that I need to pay back? Everything under heaven is mine. (NLT)

God has already displayed the ultimate act of love by sacrificing Himself for our sins. He owes us nothing but we owe Him everything…for all He’s done, for who He is. Not only did He surrender His own life, but He created this universe and everything in it. Yet we try to claim it as our own? Or like Job, claim God owes us mercy for our innocence. I don’t think so. If we got what we really deserved, we’d be left to burn in the pits of hell with all our sins. God owes us absolutely nothing, but we owe Him everything!

  10. GO AWAY FROM SIN

34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

The description of leviathan sounds much like the clinches of sin. I believe here the LORD is warning Job against the affects and pending judgement of death when in sin. The key to remember here is that pride is the root of all sin.

The LORD described leviathan as the king over the children of pride. He is not the king of, but the king over. The king of would mean that he is in control, but he he the king over or the highest offender of pride.

There is but ONE King OF.

Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. (KJV)

We must be prayerful to GO AWAY FROM SIN and humble ourselves in the sight of the LORD.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

“Will You Make a Covenant with the Dragon?”

3Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?
4Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?

Israel will attempt to sign a 7 year covenant with Leviathan…But just as Job declares, your covenant will not last and you will not make him a servant forever. Right in the middle of the covenant, Leviathan will break the agreement.

27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease

4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies

  12. this chapter reminded me of the song “keep your eyes on Jesus”, Jesus is the only one that can help us.
    Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of Earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

Oh soul are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness to see
There’s a light for a look at the Savior
And life more abundant and free

His words shall not fail you, He promised
Believe Him and all will be well
Then go to a world that is dying
    His perfect salvation to tell

  13. 19 Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.

20 Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.

21 His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.

Satan uses fire to destroy. We know about his fiery darts and here it describes what comes out of his mouth as fire. Everything about the devil is meant to destroy.
But like Joseph speaking to his brothers Genesis 50:20
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
The devil intends to destroy us but God uses it for good.
    Zechariah 13:9

And I will bring the third part through the fire,
and will refine them as silver is refined,
and will try them as gold is tried:
they shall call on my name, and I will hear them:
I will say, It is my people:
and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

Stand firm in the face of the enemies fiery attack. Let the fire refine you and call on the Lord. Gods people will come through the fire.

  14. And since no one dares to disturb it, who then can stand up to me? Who has given me anything that I need to pay back? Everything under heaven is mine. Nothing on earth is its equal, no other creature so fearless. Of all the creatures, it is the proudest. It is the king of beasts.”
    Job 41:10‭-‬11‭, ‬33‭-‬34 NLT

1 Chronicles 29:11-12 New Living Translation (NLT)
11 Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. 12 Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.

Nothing cant stand against god because he made everything

  15. 34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

    The ifactor.

Pride it all begins with I. I want to do this or I am… The iPhone, one of the greatest instruments of technology this generation. We have much computing power at literally our finger tips. But with the iPhone craze, has come the ifactor. What can I get from this phone. What can I do with this technology. It’s all about what I can or cannot do. But we cannot do anything without God. It’s not an i thing it’s a God thing. God is the creator of everything.

  16. Job 41:11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my Covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

  17. IN THAT day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea, praise the Lord.

  18. 19 Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.

20 Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.

The enemy will throw fire at us….fire that seems that we can’t go through. But my God is faithful God
13 No temptation[a] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[b] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[c] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Cor 10:13

We might think we can’t pass through something because the enemy is throwing fire at us but this is when we need the consuming fire of the HG inside of us because God already created a way to get out!!! All we have to do is believe and trust!!! There are many things that are out of our hands but we must to the natural so God can do the SUPERNATURAL!!!! I trust in you Lord!!!!

  19. 16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
17 They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.

I know this chapter isnt talking about the unity of the church but rather something very different. but these two verses stuck out to me…WE as church body and bride of Christ…have such an incredible force behind us. The devils spends more time trying to cause division than most any other way. We are under our pastors vision given to him by God and nothing can stop us the closer we are to one another and stick together.

  20. “Will it agree to work for you, to be your slave for life?”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭41:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭74:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Is it the covenant with God that keeps us? But if we don’t keep the covenant, what is keeping us?

  21. Job 41:11 Who has a claim against me that I must pay? Everything under heaven belongs to me.

What a powerful statement. The comfort that we have is that we are made his children in this New Testament time. The prodigal son example gives us hope as children. We have the fathers unconditional love. Even in a backsliden state Gods love is still there.
There are times when I wake up that I just want to bless my children. Not because they have done anything or becaue they earned it some how, just because they are children and I love them.
As long as we are able to stay repented and in communion with God we have the promise of a glorious eternity with our Father, Jesus!

  22. 33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.

Some things in life that we can’t control-sin and the ravages of sin. It takes the mighty God to deliver us and set us free if we find ourselves tangled up and bound. But thanks be to God, he is mindful of man, and is willing to rescue each one of us. Then let Him take control of the reins of your life and lead & guide you.

  23. 32 He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.

33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.

34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

  24. 22 In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.

When we come before the lord he knows what we are, who we are, and what we think. Before him our own sorrow is turned into Joy. He is a peacemaker/healer/joy maker. The lord rules over all and will never fail. Our sorrow is temperary because when we come before him there is no way to not feel exceeding joy.

  25. MSG – 41:11 – Who could confront me and get by with it?
I’m in charge of all this—I run this universe!

When we become so fully of ourselves with pride and righteous indignation we think we have the right to do as we please, when in all actually it is HE who created us and owns everything in this world. At one spoke word our worlds could come crashing in around us. But God in His grace and mercy lets us go on and on thinking we are somebody when we really are not.

We have no right to question for He is our Master and we are mere slaves to Him, yet He gave us our own free will hoping against all hope that we would choose freely to be a servant to Him.

  26. Job 41 31-34 He make the the deep to boil like a pot: he make the sea like a pot of ointment. He make a path to shine after him one would think the deep to be hoary. Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. He beholdeth all high things he is a k8ng over all the children of pride.

Their is only one creator, one God

  27. Unity in the body

15-16 His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.

We know that we are the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:27). We also know satan is the prince of the power of the air (Eph 2:2). If we are jointly fit together as the Lord wants us to be we, as the body, will have similar strength as described in these verses. Verse 16 states “no air” can come between the individual scales. Thus, satan will have no power to come between the individual members of the body of Christ.

Of course, this power and protection comes from unity. If there is a missing scale or a scale that is weak there is room for harm, soreness, infections and disunity to start. The body can heal itself but it takes time. If we as the members notice one of our brothers or sisters faltering; do not pick a fight or try and take advantage of them, strengthen them with encouragement. Consider the scales of this dragon. If one scale tries to overtake another scale it will become too big to cover both spaces as effectively as originally designed.

From the outside, the appearance may seem as the dragon is still protected by all the scales. However, upon closer inspection one can realize the over-sized scale and this will be a possible weak point for attack. If “Bob” is flourishing as a children’s ministry teacher and discovers that “George” is having issues with his position as a preacher does not preclude him from striving to be a preacher. However, standing by and waiting for George to fail so Bob can take the position weakens both ministries. If Bob wants to be a preacher there is growth that is needed to become stronger as a single scale to cover both areas.

We must be careful to ensure there are no gaps between our members thus allowing for disunity in the body. Do not stand by and watch our fellow members struggle and wait for them to fail. Reach over and help them recover. This effort will not only strengthen this individual member the effort will strengthen the bond between the two members.

  28. His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
    Job 41:15‭-‬16 KJV

    We read about the dangers of pride.. We know that satan was described as being full of precious stones and then he looked at himself. But it was not he that madr hinslef but God created Him. Likewise, Psalms 100:3 says: Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;[a]
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
We must becareful with looking at ourselves and the acomplishments that God has done through us, that we may noy say; look at me, look what i have accomplished. This too can become scales of pride that no Air can flow through it. Or if we could say it this way no rushing mighty wind, no Spirit of God.

  29. (MSG) Job 41:32-34
32 “Behind him he makes a shining wake; One would think the deep to be gray-haired [with foam].
33 “Upon the earth there is nothing like him-no equal exists, A creature made without fear.
34 “He looks on everything that is high [without terror]; He is monarch over all the sons of pride [And now, Job, who are you who does not dare to disturb the beast, yet who dares resist Me, the beast’s creator? Everything under the heavens is Mine; therefore, who can have a claim against God?]”

    mon·arch
    ˈmänərk,ˈmänˌärk/Submit
    noun
    1. a sovereign head of state, especially a king, queen, or emperor.
synonyms: sovereign, ruler, the Crown, crowned head, potentate.

Leviathan: H3882 liwyatan: a wreathed animal, i.e. a serpent. figuratively the constellation of the dragon; also a symbol of Babylon.

There have been to many times that I have let this influence my life and decisions that I have made. This Leviathan of sin has had reign over me to long. There are so many ways that sin can creep in; even today. I can not let it be the monarch over me. God you are in control; I can no longer give into the sinful natures that once controlled me: i.e. money, pride, anger, bad attitudes, and there is so much more. My Leviathan is my flesh; this is where I struggle. I need to pray that God will give me reign over my flesh and bring it into subjection.

(NIV) Isa. 27:1 In that day, the Lord will punish with his sword-his fierce, great and powerful sword-Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent, he will slay the monster of the sea.

  30. “And since no one dares to disturb it, who then can stand up to me?”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“Who has given me anything that I need to pay back? Everything under heaven is mine.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭41:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  31. 11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

Why is that when we do anything for the kingdom of God we think God owes us? If not for Him we would not have the ability to do anything. It is through Him and because of Him that we can serve the kingdom of God. He does not owe us one single thing yet He still gives us all that we need and more, and for that we can never truly repay Him!

  32. Jesus is my friend yesterday, today and forever more and he’s there with you if need him. I know I need him everybody needs him. Amen!

  33. Job 41:11 Who has a claim against me that I must pay? Everything under heaven belongs to me.

Everything in this present world belongs to God. He created all things even the Job we have to support our families. So why do we feel like we can take what belongs to God in the first place?

Malachai 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

  34. 22 In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.
Hold your head high and rejoice in the Almighty. He will lead and guide you because He is the head. In Him is all strength and power and we have nothing to fear.

  35. 34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

” the role of a king was to rule a kingdom. Historical kings had complete domain and made all government decisions.”

Who rules over your house? Who has complete authority over your daily life? Is it the King of king and Lord of lords or leviathan?

    Romans 6:12-13
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

  36. 3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?

The enemy comes in many forms. Sometimes even with a soft wooing voice. We must keep our ears in tune with the voice of God.

  37. As Christians we must be careful of every move we make. We cannot get caught up in the things of this world. Our home is heaven and everything we do, every choice we make should lead us in that direction.

  38. 22 In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him

God knows what your sorrows are he knows you’ll need strength to overcome them. Strength isn’t as easy as it sounds. If your an overcomer I encourage yourself to seek the Lord because your joy will come to you once you give your sorrows to Him.

  39. God knows what he’s doing

God is letting Job in on how foolish it is to argue with him. If God made these redicilous creatures that no one can handle and God calls them weak in his sight then who can argue with God? Who are we to tell God what to do? Who are we to expect the master of the universe to listen to our redicilous rants about how unfare life is. God is saying let me do my job and you can do yours. Let God be God and don’t worry about trying to figure him out

  40. In this scripture, it is apparent that our Lord is mighty indeed! All things are beneath him, and are created by him! Even if we see mighty looking beings or giants. We are his children and there nothing to hard for our God! Guess what? No one has defeated him yet nor will they? Even our adversaries the devil and his demons will be under his feet and they too will bow one day! For every knee shall bow and every tongue confess Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father, Amen.

    “Be Secure”……………

  41. Surprisingly Job uses the Leviathan in two distinct ways. The legendary sea monster Leviathan is referred to in Job 3:8, where Job wishes soothsayer would call up the Leviathan to swallow up the day of his birth. The Leviathan has been depicted as a chaos-stiring, many headed dragon that was defeated at creation (Ps 74:14). In Isaiah 27:1 the Leviathan is described as the embodiment of evil to be destroyed by the Lord.

Here as in Psalm 104:26, Leviathan is used in a literal sense: as a large sea animal and could be a large crocodile. We do know that no human being has power over it. The fact that the Lord has tamed him demonstrates God’s majesty and power.

  42. 10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?

11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

God is in control of our lives and everything around us.

  43. 8 Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.

9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?

10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?

11 Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

  44. 17 They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.

They stick together, is how the church needs to be more now than ever!!!

  45. “None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me? Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.”

What does God owe you???? Ha

  46. None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me? Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.(Job 41:10‭-‬11 KJV)

Mark my words I say unto you there’s no god like my God he’s the creator and king of heaven and earth the author and finisher of our faith !!

  47. Will it agree to work for you, to be your slave for life?
    Job 41:4 NLT

Sin has a funny way of making you think that your in control of it and you can stop at any time you want, but reality it will start to control you little by little until it enslaved you and when you realize it it’s to late. The Good thing is that there is still hope in Jesus.

  48. 34 He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

    Who runs your house?

We are all subject to a ruler, whether it’s the kids yelling where they want to go, and what they want to eat, or a job that never ends, forcing you to give up family and church time, or Jesus, helping you to grow and not only become a might man/woman of God, but also an example to all others as to how God is making your life here prosperous.

Without question almost everyone wants to say they are following Jesus, but if they are honest, they might not be able to say that, especially when they look at their fruit…

  49. Job 41 -5 will you play with (the crocodile) as with a bird? Or will you put him on a leash for your maiden’s?

  50. 1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?

2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?

3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?

4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?

5 Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?

6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?

  51. His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride. (‭Job‬ ‭41‬:‭15-16, 34‬ KJV)

    King over Children of Pride

People who operate in pride are ruled by satan. He knows what it feels like to take such joy in himself that he thinks he is the only one that matters. He is the smartest, richest, biggest, best, and most wise thing out there because of his pride. People who can’t see how they could be wrong or wonder why they are not as favored as someone else fall under his rule. He rules in his “majestic glory” with the only train that is worthy of him, his pride. The scales of pride cover him so thickly that nothing can get through.

This is why we are to be humble. When we humble ourselves they the Lord lifts us up. God is a jealous God. That is why pride goeth before a destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. We can’t be like or listening to satan and still be a child of God under God’s authority.

  52. 15 His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.
16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
17 They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.

  53. 10And since no one dares to disturb it,
who then can stand up to me.

Basically saying if you can’t handle the small stuff how can you handle the big stuff. God is saying, trust in me, I will take care if all your troubles and worries.
