Psalm Chapter 94

40 Days of FIRE – Day 10

The afflictions of the saints are: fatherly chastening, designed for their instruction, reformation, and improvement. When the teachings of the word and Spirit go along with the rebukes of Providence, (they then both manifest men to be blessed.) Pray that in times of correction you will see it as God ordering your steps in Him. GO in Instruction.

Psalm 94

O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

They break in pieces thy people, O Lord, and afflict thine heritage.

They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;

13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17 Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.

19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

  1. 1 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
3 Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

I can feel the emotion behind this. I have a friend who has been through some very chaotic storms and even now the waters still rage. She has gotten to a point where she feels utterly hopeless, but I know God has something amazing planned. Even in our darkest hour I pray I never lose that hope that my God is my refuge and He will come to work mightily in His time, not mine.

  2. GO IN CONFIDENCE

22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

As we embrace today and prepare to GO in JESUS name to face the opportunities and challenges of today. Let us be mindful of 1 fact. BUT the LORD.

When opposition arises, BUT the LORD is my defence. When accusations are made against us BUT the LORD is my defence. When the challenges of life rise against us BUT the LORD is my defence. When discouraging news is delivered BUT the LORD is my defence.

    JESUS is my DEFENDER.

JESUS is the ROCK (foundation) of my refuge or safety. The LORD JESUS is where I run in times of trouble and challenge. GO to the ROCK JESUS when you need a shelter.

GO IN CONFIDNCE today that JESUS is with us as we WALK in HIS Spirit, in OBDIENCE to HIS WORD.

    iRepent
    iPraise

  3. 11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
    12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;
13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

It’s absolutely necessary that the Lord chastise us, I don’t enjoy disciplining my children but I know that if I don’t they will continue the action and either not know it’s bad or will think they can continue to get away with it. It’s not any different for us. I don’t ever want to be in a place thinking I can get away with something and I don’t want to be ignorant of my mistakes. I don’t enjoy when God disciplines me but I know it’s necessary.

  4. 14. The Eternal will not abandon His people; He will not turn away from those He redeemed. Voice

We can hold on to His promises that He will be with us always, and that He would never leave us nor forsake us.

  5. Verse 12-13 AMP “Blessed [with wisdom and prosperity] is the man whom You discipline and instruct, O Lord, And whom You teach from Your law, That You may grant him [power to calm himself and find] peace in the days of adversity, Until the pit is dug for the wicked and ungodly.” Seek the Lord’s guidance in all that you do as Psalm 25:5 AMP says “Guide me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You [and only You] I wait [expectantly] all the day long.” Psalm 119:66 AMP “Teach me good judgment (discernment) and knowledge, For I have believed and trusted and relied on Your commandments.”

  6. 8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

Jesus will come to judge the quick and the dead.

  7. 20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

It’s good to have friendships with those in the world. But we can’t have them influencing us to do evil. We must be consistent with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  8. 12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;

Chastisement is never easy to swallow, but we must realize in the end, after all is said and done, those that have accepted the chastisement of the Lord, truly are blessed.

AMP – Proverbs 3:11 My son, do not reject or take lightly the discipline of the Lord [learn from your mistakes and the testing that comes from His correction through discipline]; Nor despise His rebuke,

  9. Joyful are those you discipine, Lord, those you teach with your instructions.
    Psalm 94:12 NLT

  10. 17 Unless the Lord had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.
18 When I said, “My foot is slipping, your love O Lord, supported me.
19 When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.

22 But the Lord has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.

  11. 22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

Amen, Glory!!! In every time you are my refuge Lord I can’t do nothing without you!! I will serve you and worship you for the rest of my life. No other place I rather be Lord than serving you Jesus!! Thank you for covering me with your blood and your spirit. No weapon shall prosper in Jesus Name 🙂

  12. 23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

Lord cut off my mole of iniquity. Nasty old mole of evil! I will dwell in your presence oh Good and righteousness! Never will I leave your wing that over shadows me! I could go through the shadow and valley of death but you are still there! Thank you Jesus!

  13. 12 Joyful are those you discipline, Lord, those you teach with your instructions. (NLT)

The KJV says “Blessed is the man…” When God disciplines and teaches we should become joyful because what a blessing is it to know He loves us so much that He would correct us and save us. Thank You Jesus!

  14. 9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

He knows all things. How soon we forget that the God who created this world does see and does know all things. Thank you Lord.
In You I put My Trust!

  15. iLove to Go Blog
Psalms 94:12-13 KJV Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law; (13) That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

Blessed is the man who gets chastened…Wow, let’s see if I can put this into little kid talk…”Blessed are the children who get their cushions toasted by dad.” Wow, it doesn’t seem as if we are blessed when the correction comes our way.

Hebrews 12:10-11 KJV For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. (11) Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

I pray you would be blessed today (corrected and chastised) and all your children would receive the board of correction as well. 🙂

  16. “Blessed [with wisdom and prosperity] is the man whom You discipline and instruct, O LORD, And whom You teach from Your law, That You may grant him [power to calm himself and find] peace in the days of adversity, Until the pit is dug for the wicked and ungodly. For the LORD will not abandon His people, Nor will He abandon His inheritance. For judgment will again be righteous, And all the upright in heart will follow it.”
    ‭‭PSALM‬ ‭94:12-15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

  17. Psalms 94:19, “In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.”

“In the multitude of my thoughts.” How many thoughts go through our mind in a single hour or single day? What are we thinking about? If we allow our thoughts to dwell upon the cares of this life, it will lead us to stress, anxiety, fear, confusion, etc…
    BUT
“Thy comforts delight my soul.” When I Think About The LORD or When I Think Of The Goodness Of JESUS And All He Has Done For Me, this brings Comfort and Delight to my soul. It gives me Peace and Joy in my heart.

Phil. 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, Think On These Things.”

  18. 18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.
When I slip and the mercy of God cover me his Mercy keeps me going what would we do without his Mercy where would we be without his Mercy thank you Jesus for you Mercy

  19. 22. But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. 23. And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off. The LORD is my defender, my protector, my provider he supplies all my needs.

  20. 12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;

22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

Everyone wants the side of God that protects and defends them, but no one wants the side of God that corrects them. But you can’t have one without the other and call yourself a Christian, you can’t have one without the other and have a true relationship with God. Just like when a parent corrects a child, they are only doing it to keep their child from growing up with bad behavior, they are doing to protect their kids. So when God is correcting us it is only to keep us on the right path and to protect us from ourselves. Lord open my heart to be willing to listen when you correct and to have a spirit of obedience and not rebellion. You are my healer, my master, my savior, my defender, my corrector, my father, my friend, You are all I need!

  21. There’s a pit being digged for the wicked.
I want to be toughted ,I want to learn and obey God’s ways, instruction s even if it hurts, for I know that ALL HE wants is my good. He can see ahead and I don’t,

  22. 12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;

    Hebrews 12:6-11King James Version (KJV)
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
    Amen

  23. 22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

God is our defense meaning that he backs us up. When we feel like our back is against the wall God backs us up and supports us He gives us the victory! We dont have to worry about our enemies if we stay faithful to Him he will cut them off!!

  24. 22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

WE ARE MIGHTY, and Gods spirit dwells in each of us. So the adversary will try to approach frequently. Trying to bring back what he loss. So anytime you feel youre in trouble do like Pastor says and take spiritual authority over it and rebuke that mess and tie “in the name of Jesus” at the end of it. Youll send the enemy away in a blink. Remember the power in the name of Jesus

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
    1 Peter 5:8‭, ‬10‭-‬11 KJV

    To God be the Glory
    God bless you all!

  25. 4. They utter speech and speak insolent things;
All the workers of iniquity boast in themselves.
    5. They break in pieces Your people, O Lord, and afflict your heritage.
    6. They slay the widow and the stranger. And murder the fatherless.
I was meditating in this verses, many people some times ask: If God is good why all bad things happen, if God exist why He did not do anything.
I was praying this morning and suddently i remebered about the people of Israel after Joseph was died. Had been more than 400 years they did not know God by themselves, just heard the stories about some God, and probably did not related their stories with a God of love, living in slavery.
We are living in a world with all kind of evil. Many people do not know Jesus, they heard stories, about Him, many not heard anything about Him.
They do not now that God is real. They do not know that He sees everything and we will be some day before His face, to be forgiven or condemned. Basically that is the reason of the evil, not accepting that God is real and He is the Lord whom vengeance belongs. Pray for revelation that people know our beautiful God. A God full of mercy and love.

  26. 12 How blessed the man you train, God, the woman you instruct in your Word,
14 For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.

Thank you Lord of welcoming me in your arms, you didn’t reject me for my sins but you wrapped me in your arms seeing me as your child! God you will never leave me and I thank you with all that I am! I pray that by your help you will instruct me in your word daily! Thank you God for leading me!

  27. Just want to ask forgiveness to yall for not being on Here like I agreed to both on the commitment and the 40day commitment!

22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

Alot of times the enemy likes to wreak havoc on our minds, But Jesus is the difference in weather we dwell in it or get delivered!

  28. 12 Joyful are those you discipline, Lord,
those you teach with your instructions. NLT

Who is a better teacher than Jesus Himself?
But no matter how good the teacher, if the spirit isn’t willing. A willing spirit is a learning spirit. During the times of being taught through tough times, we pray through it. We pray, we have an understanding, we pray the teacher will be blessed, and through this, we too will be blessed.

  29. Hannah : “18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. 19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.” When I fall the Lord picks me right back up and leads me back to his glory when I call on his name. He is always there for each and every one of us.In my distress he comforts me and takes away my distress. Without him all of our hearts would be dirty but instead he is there and he washes our hearts clean when we repent of our sins. I will always be grateful for everything he has done and never stop walking with him.

  30. Josiah: 12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, AND teachest him out of thy law;
22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
When we get chastened we can rejoice because chastening allows us to realize faults in ourselves and change. Yet the verse also says “O Lord, and teachest out of thy law” Not only is chastening important but knowing the word of God is also important. God’s word is established forever so if we know His word then we can be established forever. It is not enough just to get corrected because this verse says that blessed is the man who God chastens/corrects AND is taught the word of God. Chastening allows us to know when we are wrong but His word lets us know how we are wrong. Plus having a heart that is searching for more and is open to correction can allow us to GrOw spiritually. It can allow God to mold and shape us so that we can be the vessel that God wants us to be but we have to be open to learn and get corrected. We have to GO seek in the kingdom of God! If we never blog, read our Bible, pray, or do something spiritually then how can we get taught? Once we are obeying God and serving Him we can rejoice because God’s people can joyfully say “22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.” SO LET US REJOICE IN THE LORD! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD. PRAISE YE THE LORD!

  31. 13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

We can find rest in God when the trials of life come our way. One day the wicked one will have their place in the lake of Fire and we will walk on streets of Gold

  32. Joyful are those you discipline, Lord , those you teach with your instructions. You give them relief from troubled times until a pit is dug to capture the wicked.
    Psalms 94:12‭-‬13 NLT

It is better to be disciplined and taught on the right path than be cast away and lost. When it comes we should receive correction with gladness knowing that he loves us enough to show us the right way. The Lord cares enough to teach us and not allow us to be lost.

  33. “They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God see’s all. And just because it may look like someone is getting away with evil. That’s not how it will end. Vengeance is the Lord. He will repay our evil or good deeds.

  34. 14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

Let the Lord fight for you. He will win. And when we are with God and God in us. Then we win. God is on our side. Pushing back the darkness. He is all that we will ever need. My Jehovah jirah. My provider.

  35. PSALM 94:19 AMP “When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your comforts delight me.”

So thankful for God’s comfort in this stressful world.

  36. 2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

3 Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

It may seem like the wicked get away with what they do and they may boost about what there getting away with but we know that the unjust will get a reward unfortunately it not the one they will want.

  37. 2 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge

Pastor preached that God has the biggest but….

Whatever comes before, but God. When God steps on everything else has to yield. No matter what’s going on in your life, but God. I was in trouble, but God.

  38. 22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

God doesn’t leave us nor forsake us he stands by his word. He is faithful trust in him.

  39. 4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
No matter how the world feels about my Lord, I will continue to live for you and trust in your judgment. I see the faults of some men but I’m not blind to my own faults either. I will not cast judgment on them to make myself feel better. I will love my enemy and earnestly pray for their salvation.

  40. God will always correct his children but he judges the wicked. He is the Creator who gave life and teacher of knowledge. When we cry out to him in distress he hears us and will avenge us. Just being in the flood can cause anxiety to rise as it does here (vs19). We learn here how to lighten our burdens also, is to receive the Lord’s comfort that comes from knowing the truth about his loving nature and his perfect justice. Anxiety is the result of of forgetting where our security really is. When we focus on the goodness and faithfulness of God we experience the “inexpressible and glorious joy” that comes only through faith (1Pe 1:8). Because he cares so deeply for us, we can turn over all our fears to him, trusting that he will take care of whatever concerns us (Ps 56:3-4, 1Pe 5:7).

  41. That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.(Psalms 94:13 KJV)

Lord for you are my way maker and deliver you comfort me and give me peace when I have trials in my life. My Lord will never leave me nor forsake me. He will always protect us and lead us with the knowlege he teaches us to walk in righteousness.

  42. “But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94:22-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God is our rock, that means our stable place. He is not moving. We can be rest assured that he is solid under our feet. We don’t have to worry about him changing or moving. He is strong and always there. When trouble arises, God will handle it. His ways are higher than mine. He knows better than me and can do far greater than I ever could.

  43. 18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.

God will always take care of His children! HE is who we can turn to in times of need for comfort and strength. Even when it may seem as if the Church is getting attacked by this world, we can take comfort in knowing that God will bring us through! HE will not necessarily prevent us from getting attacked, but He will be with us when we do. It is through those tough times that our faith and trust in God will increase.
As the psalmist said in 118:5-6,  “I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.  The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”
    Thank you Lord!

  44. If we should every doubt the need of instruction in our walk with God, ‘He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know? The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity. Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;’ Note that God even chastises the heathen, so why would we ever feel that we are above chastisement? We should give thanks that he takes us being chastisement, to teach us knowledge! He knows the vanity of our idle thoughts and yet continues to chastiser and to teach us out of his law that we might be saved! The prophet said my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, so don’t underestimate the importance of instruction! Teaching is an important aspect of the five fold ministry as it gives us the preparation to stand… and having done all, stand!

Notice that chastisement is always don’t in love. That very first verse reminds us ‘O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.’ The Bible goes further to declare that vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord… that’s why we teach the truth in love! We may be fired up against the sin in the world but our love for the sinner should always remain. Although their words and lifestyle may declare ‘The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it. Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise? He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?’ We know the foolishness of those who try to hide their secret sins and should remember that God will bring it all into judgment… but we are not their judge, we are called to be their intercessors! Before we become angry at where they’re at, perhaps we should remember, ‘Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.’ He not only held me up, he gave me the instruction and strength to do better the next time! So take that instruction and go instruct others in Jesus name!

  45. Psalm94:8 Consider and understand, you stupid ones among the people! And you ( self confident) fools, when will you become wise? God see everything you do, How you act ,You not the judge. God is the judge.

  46. 2Joyful are those you discipline, LORD, those you teach with your instructions.

With discipline comes obedience. Those that know what rules are will follow them. A place with no rules is a place in chaos. Individuals will be lost with no rules. Those with rules will live a joyful life.

  47. 1 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

This chapter shows the acts of evil doers and how God will judge them. These verse however reminds me that Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.(Romans 12:19). So that I should not take Vengeance myself and leave it in God’s hands. For not only do I not want it on my hands, but God can do a much better job than I ever could and he knows what is warranted.

  48. 14 For the Lord will not reject his people;
he will never forsake his inheritance.

When God calls us his inheritance, what is he calling us?

    nachalah – possession, property.

When we become his, the only things that can separate us from him is ourselves.

The young man that left his father’s house, were there was comfort, refuge, provision, safety forfeited all of these things for the temporal.
He never stopped being the son, but if he would have died outside of the fathers house, there was no hope for him.
Its important to notice he never stopped being the son, the property, the beloved of his father, but out of the house he himself forfeited what the Father provides.

That is why there was such a great feast upon his return, the Father in Luke 15:20 says, “ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him”.

This is what 1 Timothy 2:3-4 means:
3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

The Father (God) will never forsake us, we forsake the Father.

  49. 12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
Our God is a loving God that desires the best for us. He wants us to be with him forevermore. He chastens us not because he is a cruel taskmaster but because he loves us so very much that he wants to mold and shape us to become a better saint and to take on more of him and less of this world. When he he chastens us, it is to remove something that is or will become a hindrance,a stumbling block for our walk with him. Just as we chastens our children in order for them to learn; the Lord does the same for us. It is not always pleasant but it is needed when it occurs. I pray that I keep the right spirit and grow from the chastening of the Lord. He knows what is best for me and I pray that I am obedient and have the right attitude and spirit to accept what Jesus determines is good for my soul.

  50. 12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law.

Many claim they want to be blessed but dont want to do what it takes. Todays society wants the easy and the now. An instant generation. However, to claim an inheritance one must be submitted to the leader. Not only to God but to the man He has put in charge of our soul. We need a Shepard and our Shepard needs his sheep.

Psalm 100:3. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

  51. 15
Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.

We need to make sure we have our hearts right when God comes back for his people and that everyone else around us does too!

  52. Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord , held me up.
    Psalms 94:16‭-‬18 KJV

Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? For years my soul dwelt in silence: even though I still had something tugging at me. There was a thought that dwelt in the back of my mind. What if this wasn’t all there was? I kept thinking beyond the physical world: beyond what I could see: there was a power calling me, but I ignored it for the longest time. Why? Because the world told me there was nothing beyond this life. I slipped, but the Lord held me up. Now that things have been changing for me. I feel a relief that there is a path to follow; even with chastisement the path has been there. It is by my faith that I chose to follow. Thank you Jesus for correcting my path and guiding me through this world of iniquity.

I can do all things through him who gives me strength. Phil. 4:13

  53. May 5
1 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Once we COMPLETELY understand that HIS is the vengeance, then things begin to work out for the good of those that LOVE GOD……..TO LOVE GOD is to TRUST HIM AS WELL….
