Acts 19

And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.

Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

And all the men were about twelve.

And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

21 After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

22 So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.

23 And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.

24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;

25 Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth.

26 Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:

27 So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.

28 And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

29 And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

30 And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.

31 And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.

32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.

33 And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.

34 But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

35 And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

36 Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.

37 For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.

38 Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them implead one another.

39 But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.

40 For we are in danger to be called in question for this day’s uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.

41 And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

  1. v20 So mighty grew the word of God and prevailed.

GOD has opened the gospel to the whole world because of HIS GREAT LOVE.
GOD still desires that the Church reach all people of the world with HIS TRUTH .
    GO spread HIS GOSPEL

  2. 17. The story of what happened spread quickly all through Ephesus, to Jews and Greeks alike. A solemn fear descended on the city, and the name of the Lord Jesus was greatly honored.

    18. Many who became believers confessed their sinful practices.

    19. A number of them who had been practicing sorcery brought their incantation books and burned them at a public bonfire. The value of the books was several million dollars. NLT

I’ve heard testimonies of new believers burning their ungodly books, clothes, etc. Everyone realizes they could just go buy them again, but that’s not the point. They are making a statement before their peers and God and settling it in their mind that they are a new person in Christ now and they are not going back. I believe God honors that more than someone who holds on to all the things of the past in a closet somewhere “just in case”.

    Philippians 3:
    13. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

    14. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. KJV

  3. Verse 4 MSG “That explains it,” said Paul. “John preached a baptism of radical life-change so that people would be ready to receive the One coming after him, who turned out to be Jesus. If you’ve been baptized in John’s baptism, you’re ready now for the real thing, for Jesus.” So many out there are ready now for the real thing, for Jesus and it is our opportunity (POFW) to share (GO) this gospel with them.

  4. God will have his way
History has a tendency of repeating itself and in this particular case it seems like it’s everyday.
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

This is usually how it goes if you’re getting a lot of questions.
It is important to tell them the truth or help guide them in the right d direction dont be a teacher just bring them to your teacher be something else…maybe something along the lines of a mentor to somebody. Someone that says take my hand we will do this together. Come see a man.

I hope everyone finds someone to spread the Gospel with today and to encourage them to come see a man.
    God bless you all!

  5. 3 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

Scripture tells us “Not everyone who says “Lord Lord” shall be saved”, but the word also says, “whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” we know the difference is those who have that personal relationship and the apathetic traditionalist. There is so much more of God than we can could ever possibly fathom, and he is constantly drawing us in deeper to him. We live in one of the most sacreligious countries, with many professing him as their savior in which they bare not the fruit of the spirit, We must GO deeper with God to assure that we are who we say we are. Not calling ourselves Christians but living with such aparantness that it is undeniable evidence of who we serve, that even demons recognize us and know who we are.

  6. The paul went to the synagogue and preched boldly for the next three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God.
    Acts 19: 8 NLT

  7. “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” he asked them. “No,” they replied, “we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” “Then what baptism did you experience?” he asked. And they replied, “The baptism of John.” Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.” As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied. There were about twelve men in all.
Acts of the Apostles 19:2‭-‬7 NLT
We must be baptized in the name of Jesus there is no other name to be baptized

  8. iLove to Go Blog
Acts 19:17 KJV  And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

Question: How do we magnify God?

    Answers:
    *Go to Church-Acts 19:8
    *Preach the Truth-Acts 19:8
*Get into some disputes daily-Acts 19:9 “disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.”
    *Heal Folk-Acts 19:11
*And watch some folks get tore up by the devil.-Acts 19:16…”they fled out of that house naked and wounded.”
*Talk about all the above-Act 19:17  And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

Sounds like fun church to me…

  9. Wisdom amongst Tradtion

36 Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.

Going in love into this world means we must have wisdom.
People hold onto traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. Paul was in the midst of a people who worshipped idols yet I think was not thru disputes that brought many into the truth.
God will give wisdom as we reach to the lost.
When someone tells me they are Catholic I immediately ask them did they know that the mother of Jesus was in the Upper Room on the day of Pentecost and she had received the Holy Ghost. They always answer no but are always curious which leads to the beautiful salvation plan and explanation of Acts 2:38.
We must be sensitive and God will use us for His glory! People have religion they just need the truth with a great Revelation and we have the power within us to reach this world. Wisdom and Love is what will turn them from the traditional lifestyle of their religion!
    His Strength is Perfect

  10. “Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.” As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭19:4-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  11. 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

There are lives out there that are lost and hurting and they’re waiting for someone to come reach out to them. Most of these lives have not yet heard of the Holy Ghost, of baptism in Jesus name, or of the mercy of God. We have been blessed to know all these things and it is up to us to GO tell others! To GO and compel others into the house of God where they can be saved, set free, changed, and healed!!

  12. WHO ARE YOU

15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

This question is most likely the most popular question we ever hear. Every time a new acquaintance is presentented the question is asked “who are you”. Often when people are confused about their future or current sitaution, they may ask themselves “who are you”. If someone gives a directive in authrority, they may be questioned “who are you”. In my estimation the most humiliating source of the “who are you” question, would be from an evil spirit.

The devil knows when Michael Watts is speaking, commanding in the name of JESUS, declaring and decreeing a thing before GOD, spreading pain and peril in the devils house.

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY cannot be imitated only reproduced. As SPIRIT of JESUS filled believers we can only reproduce what JESUS is to and in us. For this reason some are weak in the FAITH. We must be committed and stable in our FAITH.

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

WHO ARE YOU is defined by WHO YOU SERVE.

Psalms 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Psalms 100:2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Acts 20:19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

Romans 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

    Romans 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Colossians 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

We are identified by who’s we are.

Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

GO in JESUS name. Put on the LORD in attitude, action, audience and activities.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo

  13. 18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.
19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

God will prevail as more and more souls come to repentance. Through this revival of 40 Days of Fire, the word of God is mightily growing and will prevail at POFW!

  14. Prayer Clothes

11-12 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Who remembers these? At a previous church we attended prayer clothes were part of normal life. Any time someone needed a special prayer, the Pastor would bring the requesting people into his office and pray specifically for the need and anoint a prayer cloth and give it to the requester. They were then instructed to put it inside a pillow case, attached to an under garment or inside a wallet – all depending on the need. As the Bible declares – there are miracles to be had when using prayer clothes!! My family was blessed on many occasions by prayer clothes.

  15. I Love To Worship The Lord
    Vs-2
Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you beloved he asked them no they replied we don’t know what you mean what is the Holy Spirit
    Vs:5-6
When they herd this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Then when Paul laid his hand upon there head the Holy Spirit came upon them and they began to speak with other tongues
This is another great 2:38 example in the Bilge

  16. Acts 19:18-19
    18) And many that believed came, and confessed, and showed their deeds.
    19) Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.”

Years ago, back in Illinois, when I first became a Christian, we held a service like this. We came to church and repented of our sins. Then we went out into the country to one of the Sister’s house and built a fire and many people threw in records, posters, books, clothes, TVs, cigarettes, etc… and anything they felt they needed to get rid of in their life. It was a great time in the Lord of putting the past behind us and looking towards our future in the Lord.

  17. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
To me this passage is absolute proof of the necessity of doing more than just believing to be saved. Salvation comes from first believing, second repenting, then receiving the HG and being baptized in Jesus name!! There is no other way for if Paul was satisfied with just believing he would not have asked if they received the HG since they believed and baptized them. He would have simply left them alone but he cared enough for there souls to tell them the truth.

  18. 9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

Paul gives us the perfect example that not all are going to believe and it’s important to separate yourself from the “unbeliever” in the manner that you don’t consider their opinions or attitude towards what you do for the Kingdom of God. We are in the world but not of the world. We must be “friends” with sinners in order to win them, but we can not allow them to “influence” us in any manner.

  19. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

  20. A willingness to go and speak the truth and the wisdom to do so in love are hallmarks of a Christian walk. Anyone who is lost is certainly in need of the truth but often they are unaware of that need… so the manner in which we deliver our words is of importance. This is particularly true of new believers whose knowledge and expectations may vary considerably. Notice the example here of Paul when he meets believers who have not yet received the holy ghost.

He knew something was different about these believers but he doesn’t point it out himself, preferring to have them answer for themselves. Have you received the holy ghost? How were you baptized? Do you remember that John spoke of one that would come after? He leads them into a more perfect way without disparaging what they’ve already received from God. He spoke the truth with understanding and patience to bring them to the point where they were ready to receive a greater truth from God!

We are commanded to be a light into the world! We want his light to be seen by all that are lost in this world. It may sometimes appear to be a daunting task, so we need to remember to take the time to do it right! Every believer that comes to God is coming from a different background… and everyone of them wants to know God’s love for themselves. We need the patience to supply their needs as an individual and the wisdom to open their eyes to the truth without offending their ignorance… to speak the truth in love! We will make mistakes… but those should not silence us or dim our light. Ask for forgiveness, ask for help, learn and grow and go speak again and again and again!

  21. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

There is no other way to be saved. Jesus is the way!

  22. 2 and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

Thank you Jesus for letting me know who You are and letting me be filled with the Holy Spirt and baptized in Your name! We all know who Jesus but there are people in this world that don’t know who he is! They don’t know the wonders and powers he holds! They are innocently lost to this world because no one reaches out to them letting them know there is another way, where mercy, blessings, and miracles, happen! We need to be the ones to stand and reach out to those souls! Let His spirt break lose in this world! He placed us in this world to go and reach out to the souls! Time to go out and change this world, to let them know there is a man they need to come and see!

  23. 8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
God is a gentleman and will never force himself upon anyone. Paul testified of Jesus to all that would listen and when it came to a point to where people will no longer listen, Paul simply went to those that would receive the truth. God performed many miracles and save the multitudes that received and obeyed God’s word. It can be hard at times to witness and only have resistance and rejection. We must keep casting the precious seeds of this gospel. There are hungry souls desperately waiting to receive this truth. We cannot ever quit because eternity for more souls than we may ever know is at stake.

  24. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

In Jesus name…it is God’s desire to fill everyone with his Spirit, his love.

  25. 23. And about the time there arose a great commotion about the Way.
The devil always had been trying to interrupt the blessings of God. People coming to Jesus or something that is in the benefit of the believer. But everything that come in our lives is for a purpose. Jesus help me to understand that in Jesus name!

  26. ACTS 19:8-9 AMP “And he went into the synagogue and for three months spoke boldly, reasoning and arguing and persuading them about the kingdom of God. But when some were becoming hardened and disobedient [to the word of God], discrediting and speaking evil of the Way (Jesus, Christianity) before the congregation, Paul left them, taking the disciples with him, and went on holding daily discussions in the lecture hall of Tyrannus [instead of in the synagogue].”

Lord help us if we ever get to the place where our hearts are harden and disobedient to the mam of God that he leaves us.

  27. Josiah: 19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
When there is revival some things have to go. The Bible tells us that no man can serve two masters. A house divided against itself can not stand. It is not by our strength that revival comes but it is God that offers us revival. In the end God prevails. God is what gets us through our trials. It is because of Him that we can be built upon the rock and survive the storm. If we want revival we may have to GrOw to a new level of worship. A new level fasting. A new level of outreach. A new level of praise. POFW! What can we GO do in this last part of 40 days of fire? What things have we not given up? LET US GO IN THE NAME OF JESUS! LET EVERYTHING THAT HATH BREATH PRAISE THE LORD. PRAISE YE THE LORD!

  28. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

You must be born of the water and the spirit in order to be save!

  29. And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.(Acts 19:18 KJV)

We attack people to the truth of Jesus Christ and the gospel because we shine for Him. Many will come even today in revival because they are hungry. They will repent and receive His Spirit.

  30. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

They where baptized in Jesus Name, the hope.for are salvation. Another example why we baptized in Jesus Name.

40 For we are in danger to be called in question for this day’s uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.
41 And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly

I am glad we have an answer for why we make an uproar in our assemblies and that is because of Jesus. The same name we baptize in! We have a cause and a purpose unlike these people who had no cause and their purpose was in their pockets. I glad I serve a God that is not made with men’s hands, but one that saves me and whoever will be saved.

  31. 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

God’s people could die for lack of knowledge and unless they told them of the Holy Ghost they may have died in ignorance. Religious leaders may teach of baptism but not in Jesus name, submersion or age of accountability. They didn’t speak down on the men but instead to inform and minister the gospel. This led to their receiving the Holy Ghost.

  32. 8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

No matter what happened Paul kept sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ! It didn’t matter if some did not believe him, because Paul was still able to sow seed in their hearts. And the good news is that God can change a stony heart into one that brings forth great fruit. This can be seen in the natural world too. If you try and grow crops on a volcanic rock you are going to have a hard time growing anything, yet once that volcanic rock is broken down and turned into soil, it is some of the most nutritious soil and crops (including really good coffee) thrive in it.
So as Paul did, he kept sowing seed until ALL the people in Asia heard the Word; we can do the same here in Fort Worth! We keep sowing the seed until ALL the people hear the Word of God and don’t get discouraged if some don’t believe, because there will be some who do! And God can always change a stony heart into a  good heart, we just need to be patient and keep on sharing the grace of God!

  33. Modern day Dianna

So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth

Some are so caught up with their work that they don’t have time to go to church or read the word. Some hunt or fish in Sunday. Some watch Sunday NFL. Others have their hobbies, maybe the races or even working on their house. Keeeping a beautiful yard, Golf, etc… whatever takes you away from the kingdom of God is a sin. Playing tennis on Monday night with your kids is great but taking them out of church to do it is a sin. These things have taken the place of Dianna. Modern day false gods that are worshipped right under your nose and no one bats an eye at them. This is the comfortable trick of the enemy. I have family that won’t come to church because they are tied up with their kids sports games. They are bound by the false God of entertainment and the trap of worldly accomplishment. It doesn’t matter how great of a football player your kid becomes if he never gets a relationship with Jesus and he ends up in hell. The true treasures are being cast away while false gods take their place.

  34. 8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

If we truly want to reach those around us. We must speak BOLDLY. We must be FULLY PERSUADED. SOULED OUT. They must see Jesus in everything we do!

  35. 20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

We are the walking Word of God it is high time for the church to grow to the point that we grow in His Word and become the church that is needed in the last days.

  36. 8Then Paul went to the synagogue and preached boldly for the next three months, arguing persuasively about the Kingdom of God.

Speaking the Word boldly! Let’s us thank the Lord we have a shepherd that preaches boldly to his sheep. I’m glad he uses the bible to back the Word up verses making the Word up.

  37. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

I know the devil knows who Valentin & Claudette Nava are because he wouldn’t be after us this much. He knows that we am a danger for him because we are determined to reach the Hispanic community even if hardships, hate, and trials come. Its okay because I have a BIG MIGHTY GOD that is always by my side, Great Pastor & Wife that are guiding us, and a God fearing Husband that is determined to do Gods will and NOT QUIT!! Were serving God all the way devil so watch out….IN JESUS NAME!!!

  38. AND it came to pass, that, while A – pol ‘- los was at Cor ‘- inth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Eph’- e – sus: and finding certain disciples, 2. He said unto them, Have ye received the Ho’-ly Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Ho’-ly Ghost. 3. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. 4. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Je’-sus. 5. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Je’-sus. Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus !!!! Receive the Holy Ghost !!!! Speak in tongues !!!!

  39. Acts 19:9 ( English Amp) But when some become more and more stubbore ( hardened and unbelieving), discrediting and reviling and speaking evil of the Way of the Lord. He separated himself from them, taking the disciples with him, and went on holding daily discussions in the lecture room of Tyrannus from about ten o clock till three. Some like my family a lot of arguing and stubboreous, That don’t want to hear about God Word. I tell them you must be born again and Baptist in Jesus.I planted God’s seed in them, I want give up.Act’s 2:38.

  40. 19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

21 After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

One thing that also proves apostolic revival and anointing is when people bring their things that are used for sin to an alter. Drugs. Guns. Cigarettes Etc. God is good and string he’ll bring conviction to those that need it.

  41. The story of what happened spread quickly all through Ephesus, to Jews and Greeks alike. A solemn fear descended on the city, and the name of the Lord Jesus was greatly honored.
Acts of the Apostles 19:17 NLT
    Hallelujah!

  42. 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

God gave Paul the power to work great miracles. He was used of God he can use anybody.

  43. Acts 19:26 And you see and hear how this fellow Paul has convinced and led astray large numbers of people here in Ephesus and in practically the whole province of Asia. He says that gods made by human hands are no gods at all.

When out of the mouth of the leaders of the city club out the words, ” practically the whole province of Asia”. Do you have the people in the city knew how great Paul’s ministry was. There is so many Christians in Asia, that the became the majority.

Do we want to shut down all the bars in the city? Do we want to sit down all the clubs in the city? Do you want to shut down all the establishments that purple addiction in the city? Let’s do like Paul, and converts Albany to Christianity that it hurts bad business.

  44. Hannah “8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.” It is my desire that I should always witness to other people with boldness and not fear. Each of us need to do the Lord’s will for our life in boldness. We need to reach out to everyone around us so that they can be saved. Don’t let your flesh get in the way and destroy your walk with God. He is the only savoir and there are many who are lost who are hungry for his word. There are people seeking him who have been seeking his truth and you could be the only one who has the word in their life. Do not be afraid to do the Lord’s will and bring people around you to the Lord. He is righteous and he wants to use you to bring souls to his kingdom. Always witness to those around you and don’t be afraid to teach them his gospel.

  45. What a transformation from Saul to Paul. We too need to put our every effort, give everything we have into the work of the kingdom. Sometimes we push ourselves for the most insignificant things, while making excuses as to why we can’t do things for the church or what God has called us to do. Lord help us to be able to push ourselves and be overcomers in all that we do.

  46. May 17
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

If back then there were those that hadn’t heard of the HOLY GHOST, and they knew so much about JESUS and allllll the miracles, what makes us think that we shouldn’t hurry to spread the Gospel to this dieing world where alot of people haven’t heard whether there be any HOLY GHOST???
