Proverbs 10

The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

10 He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.

11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

15 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.

16 The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.

18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

25 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

27 The fear of the Lord prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

29 The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

30 The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

31 The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.

32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.

  1. Verse 8 AMP “The wise in heart [are willing to learn so they] will accept and obey commands (instruction), But the babbling fool [who is arrogant and thinks himself wise] will come to ruin.” We must be willing to always learn (its called growing/receiving correction).

Verse 17 AMP “He who learns from instruction and correction is on the [right] path of life [and for others his example is a path toward wisdom and blessing], But he who ignores and refuses correction goes off course [and for others his example is a path toward sin and ruin]. Stay on course, for your life depends on it.

Verse 28 AMP “The hope of the righteous [those of honorable character and integrity] is joy, But the expectation of the wicked [those who oppose God and ignore His wisdom] comes to nothing.” Hope versus nothing……I choose hope. Psalm 39:7 AMP “And now, Lord, for what do I expectantly
wait? My hope [my confident expectation] is in You.” Psalm 62:5 AMP “For God alone my soul waits in silence and quietly submits to Him, For my hope is from Him.”

  2. 8 The wise are glad to be instructed, but babbling fools fall flat on their faces.

14 Wise people treasure knowledge, but the babbling of a fool invites disaster.

19 Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut. NLT

Two sayings I’ve heard most of my life:

“Keep your ears open and your mouth closed.”

“You can stand there quiet and they might think you don’t know anything, or you can open your mouth and prove them right.”

  3. Proverbs 10:11, 20, 21, 31, & 32 (NLT)
    11) The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain…
    20) The words of the godly are like sterling silver…
    21) The words of the godly encourage many…
    31) The mouth of the godly person gives wise advice…
    32) The lips of the godly speak helpful words…

What is coming out of your mouth? What is coming out of your lips? What kind of words are you speaking?

  4. 2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

Sin will only lead you to death, but salivation will bring you life and light . Every day is a battle but striving for righteousness shall protect you from the wicked ways. God has a way of keeping his hand on you. Remember what was said about the adversary, God only allows him to attack us, and when we are attacked it’s where we’re weak. Those weak spots are the ones that need toned up or sharpened. Allow God to work in your life and peace shall be brought to you

I bless you all in the name of the Lord Jesus

  5. People with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will be exposed.
    Proverbs 10:9 NLT

The Holy Ghost reveals all things. If someone lives in corruption the LORD exposes their path or ventures. If they live righteously He will hide them under the shadow of His wings.

  6. 7 The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

We all make our “mark” in this life. Making a “good mark” is the best to be
remembered by. Live for Jesus, not the devil.

  7. LETS GO ITS TIME TO HARVEST

5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

The kingdom of this world opposes the Kingdom of GOD. The Kingdom of GOD is Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the HOLY GHOST. The greatest JOY in the Kingdom of GOD is when souls are BORN into HIS Kingdom.

The church holds an incredible responsibility to GO gather the HARVEST. The proverb reveals that if we sleep during the HARVEST we cause shame.

JESUS we ask you to awaken our souls to the time and season of HARVEST that you have called. We must gather and be wise.

I encourage us to take full advantage of the opportunities before us and invite friends, family and neighbors to get to church.

  8. 22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

When God blesses nothing can take away the joy and peace that comes with it. It’s permanent it’s complete and it’s real. Let us not consume our time trying to get rich according to worldly standards let’s be rich in Christ!

  9. Rich Man Poor Man

15 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.

We understand that God is our strong tower not the wealth of this world. We also know that a poverty mentality can cripple an otherwise intelligent person to continue to make poor financial and spiritual decisions. So, what is a man to do; be rich or poor – neither appear to be the answer.

Sometimes, it is our nature to see wealth as a blessing and poverty as a curse. God’s plan is much greater than our perspective and uses both wealth and poverty to accomplish His will. We should avoid the temptation to see wealth as God’s only blessing. Shame on us if that is all we are striving after. Instead be content in any and every circumstance, knowing that God’s blessings are not defined by our possessions in this world. Whatever we have should be used for God’s Kingdom not the kingdom of this world.

  10. Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut. The words of the godly are like sterling silver; the heart of a fool is worthless. The words of the godly encourage many, but fools are destroyed by their lack of common sense. The mouth of the godly person gives wise advice, but the tongue that deceives will be cut off. The lips of the godly speak helpful words, but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words.
Proverbs 10:19‭-‬21‭, ‬31‭ the Bible speak a number of times about out mouth will you mouth save someone or destroy someone our mouth can bring light but can also bring Dark

  11. 12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

29 The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.

  12. Best advice I got as a child is if you cant say something nice say nothing at all. The bible says that the tongue is your worst enemy. Use your ability to speak for a testimony to help someone. God is good all the time.

  13. 2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

What good are the treasures we have in hell? It’s all dependent ofor what we value most. Just yesterday a new friend of mine got this revelation. She was seeking healing from God and not relationship with Him, but after exchanging a few words she realized what’s more important. It’s important we keep our values in right order, always keeping God as number one.

  14. Hannah:”16 The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin. 17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.” The is life in the ways of the Lord but there is torment and death in the ways of this world. In verse seventeen it says he is in the way of life that keepeth instruction. There is life when you follow the instructions of the Lord. He is trying to save us and all we need to do is keep his ways and reach out to the lost. Always continue to serve the Lord and there will be continual happiness and joy in the Lord. It is my desire to grow stronger in the Lord each day and not to let the ways of this world lead me astray. Always give the lord Our God the highest praises and continue to walk with him.

  15. 1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

May I be a wise son and gather in this summer and not miss the harvest, physically and of souls that is all around me.

12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

You ever see folks that like to argue all the time? The Word says right here that these folks are haters. Hatred stirs up strife. We need some love in our diet. We need to eat the fruit of the Spirit. Love covers all sins. We all need to cover the faults that others have done to us and love folks regardless.

A primitive root; properly to plump, that is, fill up hollows; by implication to cover (for clothing or secrecy): – clad self, close, clothe, conceal, cover (self), (flee to) hide, overwhelm. Compare H3780.

Covering sins is the opposite of revealing them. To love folks is to not gossip against them.

  17. People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore corrections will go astray.
    Proverbs 10:17 NLT

  18. 31 The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.

I hate to see an injustice, my heart hurts to see an injustice, but what used to be just to me, now is an injustice and what was once an injustice is now just. GOD CHANGES THE UNJUST TO JUST!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

  19. 12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Our attitude with people can either stir up the situation, or calm the situation. Showing love to those that don’t deserve love can cause their walls to come down, it can bring peace into the situation and it can bring an end to the strife. We must Be Jesus – Be a Peacemaker, Love those that despitefully use us.

What would Jesus do is a saying that has been far over used, but what would Jesus do in every situation. We must take a minute and think about that before responding. Jesus might respond totally different than our nature of response.

  20. Josiah: 13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
Wisdom comes with knowledge. However how can we receive understanding, or knowledge if we are always talking about this or that? The lack of understanding can cause hurt. In fact verse 14 says “but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.” When we choose understanding and seek wisdom our physical and spiritual lives can be so much better. When we seek wisdom and learn God’s word we can be given direction and know where to GO. Psalm 119:105 says “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” So, let us GO in JESUS NAME and do what God shows us to do!

  21. 4 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

So be it wise that we stay away from foolish talking people.

We must guard our life lest we end up in the situation as the foolish man.

We are too close to the coming of the Lord to lose our souls just because of our mouth. This is why we must speak in tongues every day assured that God is in control of our tongue. Next time some one starts speaking foolishly around you down mouthing the ministry the church someone , give it a try just start talking in tongues. They will either shut up or maybe the Holy Ghost will get a hold of their tongue also in Jesus Name.

The Joy Of The Lord Is My Strength!

  22. 12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

We as Christians are suppose to be using our mouth to share the love of God to everyone, but a lot of times we are just speaking negatively. The thing is when we’re trying to witness to someone face to face of course we are going to be kind and encouraging, but what about when you’re just having lunch with a friend? You may not think you’re witnessing to anyone right then by there are people all around you and the actions you make and the words you speak will still witness to them! So are you showing the love of God or are you showing them your ignorance? Just stick to rule of “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”. Lord I pray that you would put a guard over my mouth and use me to be a witness of Your love everyday!

  23. 8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

  24. 16 The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.

As I was reading it became clear that we are in two catagories, Righteous, and wicked, because there is no middle, either you are or your not, either you love or you hate, either you believe or you dont, either you are hot or your cold!
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth
    MSG VERSION v 15
“I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking ( 16 ) You’re not hot – far better to be either cold or hot! You’re stale, you’re stagnant. You make me want to vomit.
But as I read 17 I thought about how can we be i the way of life that keepeth instruction, but hes not talking about being in the way as in ” Your in my way ” hes talking about being on the way, so here is the definition of that word!
    WAY= masculine word ( noun ) Hebrew word o’-rakh

  25. The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth. The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out. The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.
    Proverbs 10:30‭-‬32 KJV
    http://bible.com/1/pro.10.30-32.KJV

FRO’WARD, a. L. versus: turned or looking from.

Perverse, that is, turning from, with aversion or reluctance; not willing to yield or comply with what is required; unyielding; ungovernable; refractory; disobedient; peevish; as a froward child.

Are you willing to yield to the word of God; listen to instruction from the spirit. A lot of what is lost: is due to the lack if knowledge and understanding. The frowardness I believe is from those that don’t have any understanding of the word ; or they just don’t care about what God thinks of them. I have come to understand that even one little cuss word is frowardness, but here’s the thing that one can lead to another. In which it can lead to stretching a truth and then a lie. We have to guard our mouths or we can allow the world to slip right on in. Our words can heal or they can destroy. Watch how you interact with others; Lord help us today to speak of your truth and breath life into those that are hurting. Keep our lips from perverse things and speaking death.

Set a watch, O Lord , before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
    Psalms 141:3 KJV

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
    Proverbs 15:4 KJV

There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

  26. The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain; the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions.
    Proverbs 10:11 NLT

We tend to repeat what we hear. What goes is comes out. If we desire to be a life giving fountain we can only do so by hearing the Words of him who is the Way, Truth, and Life, Jesus. It always is and always will be a kingdom issue. Which kingdom will rule your life depends on which one you surrender to and feed yourself with. What we let in will come out and we will be come a reflection of it. Allow God to give living water and be filled with his Spirit that you may be a fountain that other can get life from.

  27. 21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

  28. 21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

  29. 4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

  30. “People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Instruction is something we should be eager to receive. It keeps us on the right path and keeps us from making mistakes. You have completely stopped growing when you will not accept correction.

  31. 5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

The Harvest is where we need to be awake in the spirit. Harvest// the process or period of gathering in crops.

Crops are the souls that are out there in this wicked world needing Jesus. If our hands are not working or our legs are “asleep” we can’t reap the harvest. Our spirit is like the hands in the Harvest we need to be complete not any part of us not awake. Thank you Jesus!

  32. sin is not something to be toying with. It is nearly toying with your soul.
Its a rebellion towards God, This in not a matter to take lightly.A fool will choose to part from gods ways and pervert his words .

instead of choosing sin choose Jesus and confront your sin and bring it to him .

confront your sin and bring to god rather then hiding your sin from the one is trying to help you .

  33. 5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

  34. #GODOSOMETHING

5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

GO and be wise. Do something for the kingdom of God. Get involved in the church, it is wise to do so. This generation is said to be a lazy generation. So don’t get caught in generational curse, and get involved. Get ready, get set, GO!

  35. Treasures of wickedness profit nothing. But righteousness delivers from death. The Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  36. 2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.
3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

  37. 11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

Throughout this proverb, Solomon makes it very clear that the differences of those set apart to living for God are very clear cut. There are no grey areas. You are either wise or foolish. Righteous or wicked. What is interesting is the reinforcement that what is evident between the two is their associated actions. Those who are serving God will behave one way and those who are not, another way. It is all fruits of what is inside our hearts. I want to be sure that my whole life shows forth God! Not in just what I do, but I want all that I am to be wholly devoted to God!

” I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” – Romans 12:1-2

  38. 4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

Those that don’t like to work or are lazy will always struggle not only financially but in every aspect of life because that will hinder everything they try to do. A poor mentality but those that are willing to work will always be able to accomplish what they set there minds to.

  39. Proverbios 10:1y2 El hijo sabio alegra a sus padres;
el hijo necio los hace sufrir.
Las riquezas mal habidas no son de provecho,
pero la honradez libra de la muerte.

  40. Proverbs 10:12 (English Amp) Hatred stirs up contentions but love covers all transgressions. If you dont have anything nice to say dont say it at all. Let’s love one another and pray for one another. Our God loves everyone. When I see people arguing I tell them that God loves them . I ask them is there anything that I pray about for them. Make people fill welcome. Some people dont know want love is. Show God’s love to them. Make friends not enemies . In courage them , Welcome them, Invite them to church. Pray for them. Tell them they are blessed in Jesus Christ.

  41. 16 The wages of the righteous is life, but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death.
25 When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone, but the righteous stand firm on their rock foundation.

God you are the righteous in my life! I stand on your firm station in the good and when the storms hit knowing you are there! Thank you God for being my provider and protector! Let me daily walk on your path as you guide and light the way!

  42. Consider the implications of this verse: ‘He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.’ We mentioned the first part of this principle just a few Wednesdays ago… it just isn’t possible to bring in an entire harvest in a single day. It requires an effort of labor throughout the entire season of the harvest. If you wait until the very end, you just end up wasting whole portions of the harvest for lack of time to bring it in. That is why the wise son is spoken of as working through the summer to gather what is ready in the fields and continue to nurture the rest.

It is the latter portion of this verse however that really caught my attention: the son that chose to sleep during the season of harvest. The one that decided that rest for himself was more important than what was going on in the fields. The proverb does not stop at calling him unwise or even calling him foolish: it declares that the father would be ashamed at such a son. One that chose to ignore the needs of his help in the fields, one that chose rather to sleep while everyone else was occupied in the midst of the labor.

O let my heavenly Father look down with favor upon my labor. Let him not be ashamed by any lack of effort on my part. If I feel myself getting weary, let me stop working in the kingdom of God to find some ‘rest’, let me consider why my soul is weary to begin with… because he is supposed to be the refreshing and rest of my soul! So let not my hands become weary in well doing, let me not become distracted by all the ‘stuff’ of life, let me ask myself what I can do for His kingdom and His harvest today! Let me strive for that ‘well done thou good and faithful servant.’

  43. The power of the tongue can build up and destroy in just a few words. Jesus took the most destructive part of man to show that when we are complete surrendered unto him, he chose to show forth with our tongues the evidence of the in filling of his spirit.
Jesus gave us two ears to hear and only one mouth to speak. If we listen twice as much as we speak to his word and the godly examples in our lives; we can be a blessing and benefit to those we encounter.

  44. It pays for us to always do the right thing. There are blessings in store for those who follow God’s commandments. Don’t allow the things of this world detour you from the path of righteousness.

  45. 12 Hatred stirs up conflict,
but love covers over all wrongs. NIV

If we hate and don’t forgive people when they do us wrong then we’re getting nowhere spiritually, and we need to stop running around in circles and forgive and forget!

  46. Proverbs 10:11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked

Life -giving words come from a righteous heart and violent words come from a wicked heart.

Keep a righteous heart and GO Speak life

  47. “Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭10:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When we get upset we can act in either two ways. Hatred or love. Hatred causes more trouble. But loves covers all sin and hurt.

  48. Not everything that happens in our lives is peachy. We are all sinners it’s up to us to stay away from sin. It’s pleasing to God that we lead righteous lives to avoid eternal death.

  49. 2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

You will people in life that will hate you for being Christian. But when you live for Jesus, He will always be there and never let you fall.

  50. 28 “The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.”
29 “The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.”

Living a Godly life brings happiness. Living right makes us strong when he’s within us. without God we are nothing.

  51. 13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

Some people have A lack of relationship with God and reading His Word hitch produces a lack of wisdom becuse they do not understand scripture. We must learn to love His Word that He may give us wisdom

  52. 10 He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.

A winking eye is a way of signaling shared hidden knowledge or intent. Playing around with people is fun if it doesn’t cause the other harm. To test someone can also be hurtful as well. We should say what we mean and mean what we say. Sticks and stones can break bones …and yes words can hurt me. Instead of bringing people down we should be lifting up each other.
The tounge is a powerful thing.. “but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.” James 3:8. We should be more careful how we speak to eachother because life and death lies in the tounge. We can speak life or death. God gives us the choice.

  53. “The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish [stubborn] son [who refuses to learn] is a grief to his mother.”
    ‭‭PROVERBS‬ ‭10:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

What are we Our Father Glad or bringing Grief to the church?
The things we do individually affects everyone around us. And this is good or bad. The last couple of chapters has encouraged us to find wisdom. She calling out to us but we must listen. We must humble and teachable.

  54. 12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Hate is such a huge barrier for God to do what He wants to do in our lives. However, love is something so BIG that helps us do the will of God. I have had hate in my heart before and it was just a barrier and a distraction on what God wanted to do in my life. But I always pray that He help me love how He loves and hate what He hates!!! I want to love the lost and hate the sin that is binding them. Help me Jesus To Be More Like You!!!!

  55. 24. The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. 25. As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation. Praise ye the LORD !!!!

  56. 5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

The thing about gathering in the summer time is that it is hard work. The summer will weed out the non-committed. The ones that are not whole hearted in His kingdom.

God is looking for the “how so ever will”. The ones that will not turn from hard work.

  57. 1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.
The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked

We have nothing to lose in walking this path except our own vain ways of living, we are the pride of our father and the Apple of his eye. We bring honor and lift the burden of the mother(the church) and make our father proud

  58. “The Lord will not let the godly go hungry, but he refuses to satisfy the craving of the wicked. Lazy people are soon poor; hard workers get rich. A wise youth harvests in the summer, but one who sleeps during harvest is a disgrace. The godly are showered with blessings; the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭10:3-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  59. 1 A wise child brings joy to a father; a foolish child brings grief to a mother.

Today, it seems like the youth are not getting discipline, not shown how to respect, serve and be courteous to others. Youth want things given to them, want to be in control, and do what they want. It seems like society has taken parents out of the equation to raise a family properly. As parents, we have to be parents and not be friends to our children. We have to be firm, and tell our kids NO. Youth have to learn how to earn respect, serve other and be courteous to people.

  60. 0 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

  61. The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
    Proverbs 10:8 KJV

If we can use widom in our hearts and minds we can find our true wisdom that lives in the hidden part of our heart, of which the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. But a prating fool is one who is slow to hear, and swift to speak, who, instead of receiving good correction.

  62. Prate:
prat·ed, prat·ing, prates. To talk idly and at length; chatter:
[Middle English praten, from Middle Dutch prāten.]

“The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭10:8, 10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Those who go around talking about nothing receive failure. Those who just chat the day away with idle conversations don’t have time to work b cause they are talking. They don’t it their hands to the plow. They just talk about how things are too hard, too much, or maybe even what he weather is like. Nothing is accomplished by their conversations. There is no glory being brought to God. This is why they fall. They are exhaulting themselves and the things around them. God is a jealous God. When you exalt yourself you become your own idle, and you MUST fall, like lucifer.
