Proverbs 11
1 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.
2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.
7 When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.
8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
9 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
13 A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
15 He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.
16 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.
17 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
18 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.
19 As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.
20 They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.
21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
22 As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
23 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

Verse 11 MSG “When right-living people bless the city, it flourishes; evil talk turns it into a ghost town in no time.” Verse 28 MSG “A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stump; a God-shaped life is a flourishing tree.” Flourish: grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly favorable environment, (of a person) wave (something) around to attract the attention of others. It is time to Go (Grow) and get the attention of this City! In order to do that we must stay close and under the authority of the leaders that God has placed in our lives. Verse 14 MSG says “Without good direction, people lose their way; the more wise counsel you follow, the better your chances.”
He that trouble his own house shall inherit the wind. And the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life and he who wins souls is wise. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

I never felt more alive until I received the Holy Ghost. It was like before I was dead inside, lacking something that only God could give me. I heard the Gospel, so that seed was sewn. I didn’t have the water which was spoke about in
John 7:37
“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”
I was lacking that water for the tree of life to begin to GrOw inside of me. To finally have a hunger, a desire for Gods word. A hunger, a desire for the Lost.
You see I was living sin, in darkness so when I got the Holy Ghost I felt like life had finally just begun. I opened my eyes and it was so bright because I was living in darkness for so long.
GO tell someone about the life they’re missing out on!

This world offers so many temporal things that can destroy people eternally. However, the righteous get eternal life in heaven. When we refuse to give in to this world but, instead uphold the kingdom of God and obey God’s word we can get eternal life. When we also win souls we are wise. The example that God gave was not of sitting back and doing what you have to do, but not being a light to this world. God came to save the lost. This is why we should have a fire burning within us so that we can GO BE A CITY SET ON A HILL!

Hurt is going to come, bc of all the evil that lurks in the world, we can’t get around it, there is no way to avoid being hurt or being in pain of some magnitude in points of our life… however the righteous man is blessed from it MUCH more than the wicked. I have never and will never paint the Christian Life as an easy life, but it’s the only one worth living. And I’ve used that in reaching people many times to keep at it when they are trying to stay faithful.
27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
I often take my children on little adventures around the cities and at first it had no true purpose in my mind. It was just something fun to do. Yet one day I realized these adventures gave us the opportunity to see the beauty of God that surrounds us yet we often get so busy that we fail to take out the time to recognize it. These moments are electronic free, drama free, and personal moments that I will forever cherish with them. So, I’ve grown to the point I am constantly seeking after time to do this with them and I believe that’s what we should be doing with God. Seeking after good moments with Him and His people. Seeking after good in general that we will find favour. There’s enough evil and disappointment that surround us let us take time to seek after the goodness of God!
18 Evil people get rich for the moment, but the reward of the godly will last.
21 Evil people will surely be punished, but the children of the godly will go free. NLT
It doesn’t say all the Godly will get rich, but that their reward will last. There are other rewards that are worth more than money.
The way you live also directly affects your children: living Godly releases freedom for your children, so being evil must, in return, bring bondage to them.
Godly people find life; evil people find death.

When we plant flowers or vegetables we expect that we are going to see the flower and vegetable grow that we wanted. How much more spiritually. If we diligently sow good, we will harvest the fruits of our labour and be blessed. Likewise, if we are constantly sowing discord we are going to grow negative in our lives.
Think before you sow that seed because it can grow into a deep rooted thorn into your side or the most beautiful and fragrant flower that is a blessing to all that can see.

When we live in the Kingdom of GOD we will find our sharing the Gospel of HIS Kingdom with others. Our life and attitude directed to souls should be focused on displacing the kingdom of this world and sharing with others the Kingdom of GOD.
Our responsibility is not always about telling others how wrong they are, but more about demonstration of the Righteousness of GOD through our lives. The Wisdom of GOD demonstrated in our lives, presents the Kingdom of GOD in a way that is inviting to the lost. When we present the Kingdom of GOD, JESUS opens the door for us to share our FAITH and HIS GOSPEL (The KINGDOM) and wins others from the kingdom of this world to the Kingdom of GOD.

Those who live life in a way that seeks positive things and positive opportunities will find the favor of God working on their behalf. But if your engaged in and looking for evil beware because It’s coming to you!

High Expectations
7 When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.
Every relationship involves expectations, whether it’s at home, church, work, or even in the neighborhood. When we enter marriage, we have expectations of our spouse and our spouse has expectations of us. In parenting, we have expectations of our children and our children have expectations of us. The same goes for our job, bank, neighbors and strangers on the highway.
Here at POFW; whether an elder, director, ministry leader, Sunday school teacher, usher or serve in the nursery, expectations are always involved. It works both ways: our expectations of others and their expectations of us. Expectations that are not discussed are just hopes and dreams. We must converse about what we expect from each other.
We may not agree with another person’s expectations, but we do need to understand what they expect. Don’t guess-so, know-so! Ask and listen! Give the person the opportunity to express. On the other hand, we have expectations. Don’t withhold them. Don’t be silent. Express them. When it comes to expressing expectations, it is most to discuss one subject at a time. An open-ended question like, “What are your expectations?” is a non-starter. Identify a single category and focus on it alone.
4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
The CEV says only obedience to God can save you, which is true from the start. It starts at the initial act of obedience to believe and follow through the plan of salvation. Once saved, our values should be rearranged so instead of trying to attain so many earthly riches, we seek the things of God and obediently do His work.

WOW, check out proverbs 11:2, ” When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.” So, think about it…if you’re full of pride then wisdom is not present. Wow, only the humble receive wisdom. I’m not talking about wisdom of this world, I’m talking about about wisdom that comes from above. Leaders in the church who are full of pride cannot walk in the Lord’s wisdom…Great leadership building nuggets here.

Good Morning Family, May the Lord Bless Thee
As I was reading this passage I realize that I know full well what it means about a false balance, to deceive someone when It comes to money and other things to trade for something that I may want or someone else may want and I just had to have it. So I would say or do anything to get what I want! If you cheat someone out of money you have to expect its going to happen to you! God is a fair God, he dont cheat us, people are always trying to do what they can to get what is free, what they feel that others owe them, or what they want, I always would say you cant even have a dollar in the hood, because someone always wants what you have rather its a dollar or a dime, as long as you have it, they want it! But to work hard for the things we have and to share with a giving heart, and to give with out always expecting that we can get it back if we need it is most definitely more satisfying in the end, and to see what you want and get it honestly, we seem to value it more than the thing we got the wrong way! I always thought that being prideful was the same as being proud, I think its ok to be proud of an accomplishment in our lives or even our kids, when I finished discipleship class I was proud of my self because I finished it finally, but I wasn’t prideful, because I gave God the glory because without him I wouldn’t have.

People trust more in the the things of this world. How can you trust in things that only for a season? Our lives are but a season upon this rock. I love the song by Toby Mac ” Light Shine Bright”: the verse where he says, “For now this rentals our home”. It’s true, but how do you want to live on this rental? Serving the gods of this world or serving the almighty God. Today is a new beginning for myself and my family. We chose to serve the one true God and I chose to cast my foolish ways into the sea of darkness. I chose to be the wise at heart; not the foolish servant. My trust lays in the one that can keep me free; not to the ones that can enslave me. I thank you Jesus for keeping my mind and heart free.
Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
The Lord is the GREAT I AM. Which means nothing and no one is above him. Don’t think you’re too Good for the Holy Sprit. Be humble . pride will distroy you. Remember Jesus was crucified for our sins. He knew his purpose . the fruit of righteous is the tree of life. Be righteous . also Remember nobody can do you like jesus. Friends can turn against you , family might betray you, Romantic relationships might fail, but jesus he will will never forsake you. When all hope is lost that means not all hope is lost because Jesus is molding you . he takes Ashes and turn them into beauty.
16A gracious woman gains respect, but ruthless men gain only wealth.
This statement is for men also. A honest man gains respect. A ruthless person will do anything to make a dollar, they really dont care who gets hurt along the way. A ruthless person is a dishonest person. A ruthless person will do anything to get a position or power. They will never earn respect as a person, only the position will be given respect.
“Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Honesty guides good people; dishonesty destroys treacherous people. Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death. The godly are directed by honesty; the wicked fall beneath their load of sin.”

If you find yourself seeking after a “good time” instead of the goodness of God then you will also find yourself in trouble instead of in the favor of God! Lord grant me a heart the seeks after You and Your ways!
In our generation you hear all the time ” money can’t buy you happiness but it can buy you this and this (food, puppies, or whatever it may be) and that’s basically the same thing” but it is not the same thing, for only God can give you eternal happiness, and only He can give you unspeakable joy! What if instead of trusting in money for our happiness we trust in God and see where His blessings will take us!

Integrity is KEY

As I was reading this, my thoughts go to a time when i worked at the zoo. The situation was this, I was short a large sum of money in my drawer, to where they did an investigation on me and my transactions for that day. I was nervous only for the fact I knew that i could get into a lot of trouble, although I knew I didn’t steal any money. As I went into the investigator’s office with my manager, my mind raced to that day replaying it over and over. Any ways, the investigator asked me many questions, and at the end said that she wanted to talk to my manager. This was it, the final judgement. They stepped out of the room and started to talk. Thankfully the walls in that building were very thin and I heard their conversation. The investigator told my manager that they did not find where i did anything wrong. And my manger proceeded to say,” I’m not surprised, It’s TIM. He’s one of my most trusted employees that I have. I send him on errands that know are sensitive because I can Trust Him.” I continued for about 2 1/2 yrs until i quite at the zoo.
I share this to say that it was because of my integrity that I found favor with my managers and people above me. Integrity is a key to success in the kingdom. Without it no one trusts you.

I be a fool to no listen to the counsels of those that have been thru what I am going thru or might go thru. Just alone the Word of shod gives us a multitude of counsels for us not to listen. I want to do things the right way and not learn the hard way. I don’t want to be a curse to my family and those around me. Every decision I make affects me, my family, and those around me. Jesus help me to obey and submit everyday!!!
“Upright citizens are good for a city and make it prosper, but the talk of the wicked tears it apart.”

The upright is that of every thing they do builds and does not destroy. They pray for the city, they do only good and not evil. Anyone would be happy to have them around. The wicked always speak evil and tear down. Their mission is to destroy.
12Whoever belittles his neighbor lacks sense,but a man of understanding remains silent.
Sometimes it’s best to keep our mouths shut. If we can’t say anything nice then it’s wise not to say anything at all. It would seem like common sense to do this but this practice is not so common. Belittling others shows that we don’t love as Jesus loves to the building up his children. We should love as Jesus loves others.
23 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
Deceit creeps in when you least expect it. Don’t give in to the worldly ways instead Seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness. You’ll find eternal life forever.

A good life is a fruit -bearing tree; a violent life destroys souls.
I Corinthians 9:19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converter have the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
So many good principles in this passage! And even a reminder of our eternal desire: ‘The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.’ Notice that he didn’t end with just a reminder though.. a challenge is added unto it. If you truly seek the tree of life with him, if you’ve truly partaken of his fruit, if you’re truly thankful for what he’s done in your life, then help win someone else! Not just once… winneth implies a continued activity over time. So how are we going to go about it? The proverb already reminds us!
Just consider the principle of the harvest. ‘There is (he) that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is (he) that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal (generous) soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.’ The context speaks of the harvest in terms a farmer readily understands.. if you plant more corn, you’re going to harvest more corn. If you’re fearful and hold too much of it back until you see what happens, you’re not going to harvest enough corn. This holds significance for the soul winner casting God’s seed.. if you’re always holding back waiting for everything to be just right, you’re harvest of souls is going to be minimal. We need to be generous with his seed and cast it everywhere we can!
It’s not just about whether or not you’re comfortable. What does it day of those who have been blessed and hold it all to themselves? ‘He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him…’ When we’ve been blessed by God, he intends us to be a blessing to others… and when we are, their very souls can be impacted! We’re not a farmer to physically sell what is in his barn that those less fortunate can have their needs met but consider the spiritual application: ‘…but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.’ There is a blessing that accompanies the wisdom of winning souls!
Hannah: ’30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. 31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.” The righteous will flourish in the Lord but the unrighteous will fall like a stone. The Lord instructs us to guard our hearts from the wicked and evil things of this world. All the evil and wickedness will only destroy you. In the Lord however you will have eternal life and peace. It is better to give up things and live for God than it is to hold onto those things and live in the world. Always continue to guard your heart unless you fall away from the Lord. In my life I always pray that I will always continue to guard my heart and not fall for the things of this world.
Proverbs 11:24 (English Amp) There are those who [generously] scatter abroad, and yet increase more ; there are those who withhold more than is fitting or what is justly due; But it results only in want. Your going to reap what you sow ! DONT rob God give your tide and offerings. Sow into God Kingdom , You can never out give God. God is our provider, protected , job , bills, etc. Everything think belongs to God. He always make the way to open the door for you. If I dont give there will be a curse on my family. I love to give to God.
9-10 With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors, but through knowledge the righteous escape. When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.
Our tongues and mouths are strong parts of our body that we can use for good or evil. We can go destroy the city or go impact the city for the better. I pray God that I’ll live in your righteousness that when I speak people will hear you and I’ll impact the city so they can rejoice in praise to you!

The wicked or as leaves in the righteous are as branches they both go through seasons but the branches hold strong and the leaves turn different colors and fly away and flake off. God is the roots of the tree holding a strong foundation in his word. God is also the rain his word flows down and his spirit flows down over us and we grow spiritually more and more and more as the leaves they don’t get any bigger or smaller they just grow and they stay but the branches grow longer and longer. There’s a constant growth with the branches of the tree that are the righteous always seeking Jesus and to be more Christlike every day. Thank you Jesus.

Everything we do God sees. If we work or not If we give or not If we are doing for the kingdom or not. What we sow we shall reap. In here we see the wise thing go do is to win souls. The righteous will be recommended so let’s not think that our work goes unnoticed. Continue to go and spread this gospel continue to do go and do not faint for we shall surely reap.

Lord help me to make sure my intentions are pure and righteous and that I will never try to tear down anyone. Help me to always make sure I have the right intentions.
3 Honesty guides good people; dishonesty destroys treacherous people.
Dishonesty destroys.
Dishonesty destroys the reality, creating an illusion that you’ve escaped the reality of the choices you’ve made.
Proverbs 12:13 “The wicked are trapped by their own words, but the godly escape such trouble.”
Don’t allow dishonesty to trap you, speak the truth. Dishonesty is never worth the cost.
Proverbs 20:7 “The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.”
Blessed are the ones that walk in integrity.
14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
This is true in the follow shop that I used to be a part of. Most pastors don’t have a leader to guide them or even there follow pastors to lean on and help each other. Most are just give the position without and prior training, no guidance thru it, and follow up done.
One thing that I love about my pastor is that he surrounds himself with Elders. Men that are God fearing that help him think, offer there knowledge and experience. Men that have a interest in seeing Gods work prosper.
And in this multitude of counsel he has built a safety net.

Listen to those who give good advice and can guide you.

We must reach the lost but we must be wise in the way we do it. People are watching our testimony daily. We can look the part ,speak the wirds,but if our life dies not proclaim what we are professing then we have just become a big laughing stock in their face or a stumbling block to what Gis wants to do. We must be wise we must live according to His wird. Our life us the only Bible some people will ever read what is mine saying to the world?
4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
God has called all of us to live a holy, righteous life unto Him. People may not see the full benefit of this type of life style here on earth, but it will definitely come to fruition at judgement.
Romans 5:17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
Praying His kingdom come for our city will make this a blessed place to live. We must reach our city for Jesus Christ.
12 He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
And just who is our neighbor?
Many times I have been SOOOOO glad I bit my tongue, and kept my peace so many times…

There are many pigs with gold walking around out there. This is why God has called us to be separate. We are to be true ladies of the Lord and discretion. Not just in our dress, but in our actions.
Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.(Proverbs 11:14 KJV)
Where there is no counsel, the people fall.. because a place of disorder leads to chaos. It has no one who is wise and prudent, with sound and good counsel as the word signifies; but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. In unity and order there is a sure foundation that God can build upon for his purpose.

2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
This verse reminds me that pride goes before a fall. Humility is what God looks for. And these verses shows that wisdom is with those that are humble. So may I be humble so that wisdom can be with me.
