Acts 25
1 Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.
2 Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him,
3 And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.
4 But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.
5 Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.
6 And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought.
7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.
8 While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.
9 But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?
10 Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.
11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.
12 Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Hast thou appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shalt thou go.
13 And after certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came unto Caesarea to salute Festus.
14 And when they had been there many days, Festus declared Paul’s cause unto the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix:
15 About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.
16 To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.
17 Therefore, when they were come hither, without any delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth.
18 Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed:
19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.
20 And because I doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters.
21 But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar.
22 Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him.
23 And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus’ commandment Paul was brought forth.
24 And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.
25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.
26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.
The POFW Daily Bible Reading 
0 Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.

Still on trial Paul stands strong in his innocence and keeps his faith. There are times when we must stand before others knowing we are right and innocent of what the accusers say and it feels like we have to plead our case because of others assumptions. I don’t think God is pleased when we operate under the spirit of suspicion with the snapshot we see of people’s lives . If you haven’t heard it from them, it’s probably best to leave it alone. Prayer is your best reaction to something that you don’t understand.
I think instead of the Jews trying to falsely accuse Paul because of things they didn’t understand, they should have been praying.
Verses 26-27 MSG “That’s why I’ve brought him before this company, and especially you, King Agrippa: so we can come up with something in the nature of a charge that will hold water. For it seems to me silly to send a prisoner all that way for a trial and not be able to document what he did wrong.” Many will come with false accusations/lies trying to detour our stance; but, we must be like Paul and stay confidently bold in truth.
25 But when I found that he had committed nothing deserving of death, and that He himself had appealed to Augustus, I decided to send him. I have nothing certain to write to my Lord concerning him. Therefore I have brought him out before you, and especially before you, king Agrippa, so that after the examination has taken place I may have something to write. For it seems to me unreasonable to send a prisoner and not to specify the charges against him.
But I have nothing specific about him to write to my Lord. So I have brought him before all of you, and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that after the investigation has taken place, I will have something to put in writing. For it seems absurd and unreasonable to me to send a prisoner [to Rome] without indicating the charges against him.”

I love investigations. Somebody trying to accuse me of doing wrong; the more they try. Guess what, the more truth comes to light. Eventually all the lies fall back on the accuser and the accused is loosed from his bonds. People today try to tell me that you’re giving wrong or praying wrong. Father give me the strength to stand against the accusers and to let those that are accusing see your truth in me. I thank You for your word.

FALSE ACCUSATION
27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.
We are witness to this scenario often, an accusation is made based on a misunderstanding or opposing beliefs. The innocent believer is repeatedly challenged and restrained but without any crime or wrongdoing.
If an individual does wrong they should be held accountable. However, if there is no proof of any folly they should be released and restored into service. This often plays out in emotional court. We suspect wrongdoing and find ourselves holding them prisoner by our attitude or separation from them.
FALSE ACCUSATION has an end!
Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
The accuser is cast down. Therefore it is folly and sinful to sit where satan sits, in the seat of accusation.
Know the TRUTH in every situation and withhold judgment until proof is found.

We must learn to trust God at every level he takes us to, the deeper we go with him the more challenging it can become but we can be rest assured that we will be taken their the process and given the opportunity to use each rest to win people to Christ and draw closer to God each time

We have to make sure our hope in Jesus is enough to create a passion and boldness to stand for the gospel unwavering and steadfast regardless of the accusations or lies being told against us. Keeping the faith even when the darkest of tribulations come, Jesus will stick closer than a brother.
Keep moving forward and pushing through this world toward the high calling of Jesus Christ.

People are always going to accuse, and they seem to attract other accusers, and when you try to leave the situation it’s like a endless battle, I got accused for stuff that was going on in Mi and im here in TX, but God shut their mouths! God always get the glory, because he is the only one who can turn the situation around, Thank you Jesus for your love and COMPASSION!

Acts 25 : 10-11 [Amp] But Paul replied, I am standing before Caesar’s judgement seat, where I ought to be tried. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you know better [ than your guestion implies]. [11] If then I am a wrongdoer and a criminal and have committed anything for which I deserve to die. I do not beg off and seek to escape death; But if there is no ground for their accusations against me, no one can give me up and make a present of me [ l give up freely] to them. I appeal to Caesar. If I do something wrong I should be accountable for it ! But God will cast the real accuser will be cast down. Stay in the Word of the Lord !
The desire of the secular world has always been to silence the fullness of the revelation of God, especially when one of their own is converted. We see this in the case of Paul as well. ‘And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.’
We live in a world that claims to value diversity of thought and belief, but that supposed value does not extend to Christians, particularly those who have given their lives over to a deeper commitment to God. What they really want is an acceptance of any form of sin, and Christian values are in the way of that desire. They’ve gradually worn down many of the historical values that all Christians used to stand for, but regardless of how much secular Christians give up, the world will always ask for more.
The saddest testimony of these compromises is rather than the church being the light to the world, the world has actually been an influence to the values of the church… so darkness has extinguished the light. This cannot be allowed! God does not compromise, his truth does not change, his values are everlasting, and he expects his people to come out of the world and declare his glory! We don’t hide it under a bush hoping none will notice the change, we shine into the darkness for Jesus! The world has always opposed us and always will, so let us be the influence and conviction that God desires us to be!
Acts 25
7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.
In the midst of accusations Paul still held on to his faith. Accusations false evidence talk of the town . Yet unmoved from what he knew was truth. He kept the faith . Though the accusers were many Paul had an assurance in what he was as doing for the Kingdom of God .
James 1:12 ESV
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus’ commandment Paul was brought forth.

Paul, the great missionary, evangelist, and church planter; a man who had won thousands, performed miracles, and whose handkerchiefs could cast out devils; this mighty man of God found himself in a down season. For two years plus, he sat in prison having only had the opportunity to witness to a handful of people—and none of them had been converted.
Still…he was in the perfect will of God.
“But the Lord said unto him [Ananias], Go thy way: for he [Paul] is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.”
Acts 9:15-16 KJV
We cannot let our down times, our discouragements, and our seeming failures cause us to doubt that God is still in control of our lives. He has never NOT been in control! Paul’s imprisonment was God’s provision to bring him before kings and magistrates, that Paul’s calling might be fulfilled.
We may have no idea what God is doing in the season we are in, but we can be sure that He will work in us if we will stay faithful.
“And David was greatly distressed…but [he] encouraged himself in the Lord his God.”
1 Samuel 30:6 KJV
No matter the prison or distress you may find yourself in, hear the promise of our Lord and be encouraged:
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but BE OF GOOD CHEER; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 KJV
Truth will Defend it’s self !

We see in Pauls life that continually over the last several chapters he is dealing with the aftermath of those false accusations. He has been accused, taken before several for judgement, passed on to another for judgement and waiting his time patiently in jail until the future of his life is determined.
Yet in all these things, he counted it all joy. We don’t see him complaining, we don’t see him crying and acting out. We see him humble and willing to go wherever they send him. He has come to grip with “if I die for the cause of Christ, I die for a good cause.”
My prayer is that we can all have the same disposition. The Lord sees all and knows all. Although it hurts us that others would speak against us, we must be steadfast, unmovable, always allowing the love of God to shine through us. We will be the greater witness to not take everything personal (which is not easy) but know that God is with us, fighting for us, and always on our side.
The accused knew he was innocent, and the courts could tell he was innocent, but when has that ever stopped the enemy from trying to silence the Truth?
“Paul answered, “I’m standing at this moment before Caesar’s bar of justice, where I have a perfect right to stand. And I’m going to keep standing here. I’ve done nothing wrong to the Jews, and you know it as well as I do. If I’ve committed a crime and deserve death, name the day. I can face it. But if there’s nothing to their accusations—and you know there isn’t—nobody can force me to go along with their nonsense. We’ve fooled around here long enough. I appeal to Caesar.””
Acts 25:10-11 MSG
What stands out to me most in these scriptures is the boldness of Paul’s faith. He knew the accusations against him were false, but even more so, he knew God was on his side. So he stood his ground and kept the faith.
Even when accusations are made against you, even in times of despair, even when the season you’re in seems like it will never end, we must stand our ground and be bold in our faith!

It’s sad, but here’s politics in play again as this leader is vying for political power. He wanted to show the “Jews” a favor to receive praise from the people. Wow, I just thought about this but, if America ever strays too far away from right, and the majority of Americans get an “anti god” attitude, then both Democrats and Republicans will start catering to those people. Let’s pray our nation remains one nation under God indivisible
““So,” he said, “let those who are in a position of authority among you go there with me, and if there is anything criminal about the man, let them bring charges against him.” Now after Festus had spent no more than eight or ten days among them, he went down to Caesarea, and on the next day he took his seat on the tribunal (the judicial bench), and ordered Paul to be brought [before him]. After Paul arrived, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem stood around him, bringing many serious charges against him which they were not able to prove, while Paul declared in his own defense, “I have done no wrong and committed no offense either against the Law of the Jews or against the temple or against Caesar.” But Festus, wishing to do the Jews a favor, answered Paul, “ Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem and stand trial there in my presence [before the Jewish Sanhedrin] on these charges? ” Paul said, “I am standing before Caesar’s tribunal, where I ought to be tried. I have done nothing wrong to the Jews, as you also very well know. Therefore, if I am guilty and have committed anything worthy of death, I do not try to escape death; but if there is nothing to the accusations which these men are bringing against me, no one can hand me over to them. I appeal to Caesar (Emperor Nero).””

There’s a time for meekness and there’s a time to stand your ground. Paul managed to beautifully demonstrate both. He knew the law and confessed His willingness to abide by it, but he also knew his innocence and the grace God was showing him in these times. He had the opportunity to speak to so many people, including kings that otherwise may not have heard The Word. Paul recognized that God had a plan that He would favorably lead him through. God has one of those plans for each and every one of us, all we have to do is trust Him, be humble and submitted, and be bold by knowing the Word.
26 “But what shall I write the emperor? For there is no clear charge against him. So I have brought him before all of you, and especially you, King Agrippa, so that after we examine him, I might have something to write
If you haven’t been accused of being guilty, when in reality you are innocent. Hold on, it’s coming. Our character and motives are questioned constantly. To think we are too “good” or too high in leadership is a delusion.
Jesus Christ himself, was accused, beaten, and died on a cross for sins He never committed. We are Christ-Like, and should find it a privilege that we are accused like Him. We are given the opportunity to show His perfect love through our imperfections, through our trials of injustice, and wrongdoings.
Paul could have allowed depression to take him over, and control his actions. Jesus could have fixed His entire dilemma with a blink of an eye, yet He endured, We too should have faith and the attitude of Paul and Jesus, endure and allow God to be God. Wrongly accused or not, allow God’s love to impact someone through your choices and actions!
…of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.

The same was said of Jesus, May we all have the same testimony.
Now that paul is no longer killing Christians , the enemy is fighting hard against him but when he was killing the Christians he had free reign over his life to do as he pleased….. same with converts of today!!! Nothing has changed, the enemy doesn’t love us!!! he would want nothing more than to see us in hell with him!!! Why is it that we think it ok to even allow our good to be spoken evil of? If it looks like the world, GUESS WHAT?…….. Before we change the things of this world we’ve got to convert the world into loving JESUS, How ??? By showing and telling the love of JESUS……. We need not to conform but lead them to THE ONE THAT TRANSFORMS…..

What is your crime? My crime is that I Love Jesus with that is in me and then some. I love Him so much.
Acts 25

The Lord sees our every act, intend, deed, word, thought, EVERYTHING!!! When others might want to accuse us of something wrong, know that God is going to defend you. God is going to get you out of that mess!! We can’t let chaos hinder our lives but truly live for God and let His power overflow us!! We must let His Spirit move in us. We must lay our flesh aside and let Gods power do the miracle and intercede on our behalf. I experienced that 2 months ago. The Lord was my judge and made a way!!

When you’re fulfilling God’s will in your life, there will be people used by the enemy coming against you. Matthew 10:22 says, “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” It shouldn’t surprise when we get mistreated for sharing the gospel. One needs to be persistent in their faith in Jesus no matter how terrible situations can get. Once we overcome them and reach the end it will all be worth it.

To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.
Even the Romans had a fair system of justice in place that allowed the accused a chance to defend themselves. The Jews had God’s law but their hard hearts could not administer it properly. Their hatred rushed Jesus to the cross with a mockery of a trial that turned him over to the Romans and then that same hatred prompted the people to call for Jesus to be crucified.
[Mar 15:11-13 KJV] 11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them. 12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do [unto him] whom ye call the King of the Jews? 13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.

Plead the Blood of Jesus for when it is applied to your life the devil has nothing to accuse you of. It’s all under and covered by the blood. Every sin and iniquity covered by the blood. Those accusations come to nothing.
