Hebrews 6

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

And this will we do, if God permit.

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

  1. 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened
    6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance;
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

These verses lead me to believe that new believers must fight the good fight of faith. Even though a sinner is coverted from unbelief unto salvation through repentance by the atonement of the cross, the veracity of the professed faith is weighed in the balance of time, during the eathly journey prior to the afterlife judgement. Often, I have reflected upon the parable of three talents as analogous to our responsiblity of ensuring a growth in our faith. Likewise I veiw faith as alive, inwhich if it is not nurtured we have disrespectfully neglected the gift, and will inturn receive the recompense of the deed commented.

  2. Hebrews 6

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

    The Promise
a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen.

God’s promises are through out the scriptures.
His plans to prosper us. Plans of protection and provision. The promise of Heaven . Keep your heart set in the Kingdom of God.
An old old song Every promise in the book is mine every chapter every verse every line. I am trusting in His word divine. Every promise in the book is mine.

Through patience and endurance the promise is obtainable.

For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.

    Romans 5:3
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.

  3. Verses 17-19 CEV “So when God wanted to prove for certain that his promise to his people could not be broken, he made a vow. God cannot tell lies! And so his promises and vows are two things that can never be changed. We have run to God for safety. Now his promises should greatly encourage us to take hold of the hope that is right in front of us. This hope is like a firm and steady anchor for our souls. In fact, hope reaches behind the curtain[c] and into the most holy place.”

Titus 1:2 CEV “Then they will have the hope of eternal life that God promised long ago. And God never tells a lie!”

Numbers 23:19 CEV “God is no mere human! He doesn’t tell lies or change his mind. God always keeps his promises.”

As the song “My Life Is In You” says:

My life is in You, Lord, my strength is in You, Lord
My hope is in You, Lord, in You, it’s in You

I will praise You with all of my life
I will praise You with all of my strength
With all of my life, and all of my strength
All of my hope is in You

  4. 18So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. 19This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

The greatest comforted to have while serving God, is knowing he can do all things except he can not lie. He is truth. When we trust him and know that he becomes that hope for all humanity, that is if we lay hold of that hope. Scripture in psalms 118 tells us that –

8It is better to take refuge in the LORD
    than to trust in people.

When we trust him, he becomes that refuge in time of trouble, he becomes a strong tower for the righteous to run into and be safe. When Jesus was crucified, the veil was ripped and the high priest was taken out of the equation and Jesus became our high priest. I am thankful that he is my rock and my anchor that holds. When we seek first the kingdom of God, there are no insecurities, just plain truth and love from God.

We must seek him while he is near.

    I live the kingdom!

  5. 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

It is hard to leave or deny the power of God when you’ve experienced the Holy Ghost and being in His presence! When you’ve been a witness to all the good He does and what a difference He makes in your life, you cannot forget it. For those that fall away they come back because nothing fills that void like Jesus. God loves when His children come home and renew themselves in the spirit and lay down the sins and baggage they brought back with them and put back on the things they held dear through Him and continue the path to their promise.

  6. 17. God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind.

    18. So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.

    19. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. NLT

    2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. KJV

    Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it ? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? KJV

  7. 1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ

There is only ONE DOCTRINE. Why does the world seek out all of these false doctrines , oh let me guess because it’s easier to follow after the flesh, than it is to crucify the flesh? In some ways it may seem good but in the long run it is not!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  8. Hebrews 6: 13-14 (Amp) For when God made [ His] promise to Abraham, He swore by Himself, since He had no one greater by Whom to swear. [14] Saying, Blessing I certainly will bless you and multiply you. Gen. 22:16-17) And said, I have swore by Myself, says the Lord, that since you have done this and have not done this and have not withheld ( from me) or begruded [ giving me] your son, your only son. [17] In blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants like the stars of Heaven and like the sand on the seashore, And your [ Seed] Heir] will posses the gate of His enemies. And the Seed [ Christ] shall all nations of the earth be blessed and [ by Him] bless themselves, Because you have heard and obey My voice. We must listen to voice of God and obey his commandments. Be patience and wait on his promise . He will bless Us. There is love and hope for everyone that want’s it. ” Halaula “

  9. 1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3 And this will we do, if God permit.

In other words: grow up.when we are babes in Christ there are certain things that do not affect us and we can even get away with BUT As we get older we must begin to take on stronger connections and grow in the spirit. Maturing in the spirit of Christ takes on new levels of the enemy as well as putting aside things that we used to enjoy. but if anything I’ve learned in all my years with riced is that The closer you get to Christ the less you want all those things. We are all at different levels in our walk and we must strive to continuously grow to the next one whichever that may be.

  10. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
    Hebrews 6:4‭-‬6 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/heb.6.4-6.KJV

Once people have seen the light, gotten a taste of heaven and been part of the work of the Holy Spirit, once they’ve personally experienced the sheer goodness of God’s Word and the powers breaking in on us—if then they turn their backs on it, washing their hands of the whole thing, well, they can’t start over as if nothing happened. That’s impossible. Why, they’ve re-crucified Jesus! They’ve repudiated him in public! Parched ground that soaks up the rain and then produces an abundance of carrots and corn for its gardener gets God’s “Well done!” But if it produces weeds and thistles, it’s more likely to get cussed out. Fields like that are burned, not harvested.

I’ve read this verse like three times, I’ve read other comments and I am still conflicted, alot of times people hang around on the outside, they have seen his goodness. they may have experienced some Holy Ghost power, but they never took the initiative to go all in, they may come to church but they dont serve, or participate, they may say or have a mentality of why should I commit fully
when hes gonna bless me anyways. My question is why settle for leftovers when you can have a full meal? God knows what our personal struggle is and from the beginning he has committed his life to us, he dont want stray dogs hanging around for scraps, he wants us to commit and become his, and when we do we have no worries, why worry when your Father is rich in houses and land, he holds the Power of the world in his hand!
God help me not to be content! Keep me full of expectation and Passion!

    Hebrews 6:4‭-‬6 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/heb.6.4-6.KJV

So as I was reading this chapter; these 3 really talked to me and asked me what am I doing. Does this pertain to me. Have I fallen from the glory of God. NO!! here the writer is talking about those that skate around the outside, but never diving to the middle. Those that want the gospel, but not the commitment to God. From what I’ve seen there are those out there. They read the word; they know God. There they just chose not to become fully committed. I was starting to feel that I had fallen into this category of people. Then I dug a little deeper and realized that I went all in. I don’t just read the word. I embrace God, I give myself to God, and I trust in God to do all things.

Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Why did these verses hit me so hard. I believe it’s due to backsliding. There have been a couple occasions where I have walked away, but I still believed. I thank you Jesus for who you are and for not turning away in my times of darkness. For being that beacon of light.

  12. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
    Hebrews 6:10 KJV
This is one of my favorite verses since it reminds that God never forgets what you have done for Him and that any work we do for Him should be a labor of love! Couple this verse with: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
    Hebrews 11:6 KJV
Our God is a rewarder of all our labors. Add another favorite verse and you have a recipe for success! Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
    1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV
Your work is never in vain in the Lord, so fight on, press on, work on!!!

  13. Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance. Now when people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding. God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

    Hebrews 6:11‭-‬12‭, ‬16‭-‬17‭, ‬19 NLT

  14. “For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    Caring for others believers.
    Wow
It’s so important to God that we take care of our new believers and our old ones. We’re to lift one another up and reach for the Lost at the same time. Not everyone are good talkers, not everyone can sing, not everyone can play music. But everyone can reach in some way, everyone can worship in some way, and everyone can praise in some way. God sees how hard you work for him. For his love, for his attention, and for his people that still need to be saved. We can never give up on the Lost or our calling. Just gotta keep on keeping on until we get to that place of Rest.

  15. 10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

    God has not forgotten you.

Have you ever felt alone? Maybe you thought no one would ever remember you? Have you ever gone through a season where you thought God forgot about you?
God is not forgetful, nor has he ever left you. He has and always will be there for you. I have found that the times that I feel like I’m alone, that those were the times God was growing me.
When we used to live in Illinois, there were many many corn fields around us. And during the time of planting, it would seem that one day there was nothing and the next morning there we green sprouts. It was during the dark times at night that the corn would seem to grow. The farmers had not forgotten about about the corn, because they knew that it was growing, they knew that it would take some time.
When we put the Kingdom First, God will allow us to grow as we mature in Him. Dont shy away from the process that God has placed in your life. It is there to grow you, so that you can have a bigger impact for the Kingdom of God. Seek ye First the Kingdom of God.

  16. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

  17. So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.
    Hebrews 6:18‭-‬19 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/heb.6.18-19.NLT

The hope that we have in Jesus Christ is not only an anchor to keep us fastened securely to Him but it is also a drawing mechanism that will continuously pull us closer to Him we draw our help our strength from Him. There is no hope in this world. only in Christ our Lord.

  18. 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Well, well, well. Lookie here what you gotta do to get to your promise: patiently endure.

11 Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.
12 Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance. (NLT)

Have faith and patience in waiting for your promise – while you wait, love others. The KJV says dont be slothful, in other words, stay about the Lords work. Just because you’ve been given a word or a promise just mean you just sit back and wait – stay about the work of the Kingdom and love souls leading them to Christ!

  19. iLove the Kingdom in ACTION
Heb 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
Heb 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

WORK is not a bad word y’all. It’s right there in the Holy Script! God isn’t gonna forget all the work we do in the Kingdom. If God did forget, He would not be Righteous. When we work in the Kingdom, we prove we have faith by our works. Verse:11 tells us clearly that work is not only for some folks, but for “everyone” of us. Come on y’all, let’s all get involved and stop being slothful.

  20. The heavenly gift of god was tasted and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost and tasted the good word of god so the powers of the world could come so whoever fall away has to renew them again in repentance crucify to himself the son of god

  21. I Love To Worship The Lord
    (vs-6)
If They Fall Away (to fall aside) is only used here in the N.T. The writer is posing a hypothetical case for Jewish Christians. If they did return to Judaism and later changed there minds again what would they do? Would they crucify Jesus again as though His sacrificial death were not enough. How impossible
Our salvation is a foundation to build on not a shaky scaffold to cling to into fear

  22. The Refuge of Hope

18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us

The appeal of the Kingdom of God to a sinner is in the hope of salvation. Salvation from the grips of hell but also a refuge from an ungodly world that is doing all it can to take us down with it. The abortion talk on Capitol Hill is a present example of how wicked the world is. We need this refuge as it is our only hope. Our world is headed for great destruction because of the unholy things that it is allowing. This world is going to implode upon itself if God doesn’t Destry it first. This is the hope, this is the refuge, He is our escape whether in destruction and a rapture, or in a refuge of the heart that separates us from the world as we live in it. Jesus said, I am in the world but I am not of it… He was telling us that he is the only refuge separate from the world but still accessible. Short story is…We need Jesus right now in our world.

  23. 18 When God wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee—God can’t break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable.

When we make promises; what is our guarantee? Is our word rock-solid or has our promises been broken so many times that our word is not worth much? Breaking promises to God is a very human thing to do. We promise God that we will not be hateful, or selfish, or engage in unhealthy activities, and then we do and we feel awful – not only because we know the act is wrong, but because we broke our promise to God.

The fact that we are sinful is not some kind of mean-spirited indictment; rather it is an admission of our shortcomings. God knows we are sinful, God does forgive us. Psalm 130 If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered.

  24. 3 And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding.

I couldn’t help but think of the disney movie Meet the Robinsons when reading this scripture. There is a quote said throughout the whole film “Keep Moving Forward”.

Though the young child would try and fail multiple times, he kept moving forward. We as children of God, we may fall and fail, struggle and even repeat the same test over and over.

    Keep Moving Forward.

Don’t get discouraged in where you think you’re supposed to be, or getting what you believe you deserve. Develop your skills where you are at now, so God willing, you will move forward.

    • Spiritual maturity is developed through the testing of our faith . Moving forward from baby to toddler to child youth and full adulthood as we grow spiritually. Loved the illustration.

  25. Hebrews 6:10-12 (nlt)
    10) For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.
    11) Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.
    12) Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.

2 ways we can make sure we do not become spiritually dull (slothful -kjv – lazy, idle, inactive) and indifferent (no particular interest, unconcerned) is to Keep WORKING for the Kingdom of God and by Keep LOVING and CARING about others.

Remember POFW that God sees all the WORK we are doing for His Kingdom, and He sees our LOVE and CARE that we have for other people.
So Keep the Faith and Keep Enduring for we are going to inherit God’s promise of eternal life some day.

  26. Hebrews 6:10 For God is Not unrighteousness to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Romans3:4 God forbid: yea,let God be true ,but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightiest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

God is Faithful and Just !

    I Thessalonians 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord. Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

  27. “So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.”
    ‭‭

    Become mature in your understanding

  28. God is always fair. He will remember how you helped his people in the past and how you are still helping them. You belong to God, and he won’t forget the love you have shown his people.
    Hebrews 6:10 CEV

This is Love, showing it to those whom are bound!
Our salvation came through the love of Christ. Let us continue laboring in our city.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
    John 15:13 KJV

  29. “So come on, let’s leave the preschool fingerpainting exercises on Christ and get on with the grand work of art. Grow up in Christ. The basic foundational truths are in place: turning your back on ‘salvation by self-help’ and turning in trust toward God; baptismal instructions; laying on of hands; resurrection of the dead; eternal judgment. God helping us, we’ll stay true to all that. But there’s so much more. Let’s get on with it! Parched ground that soaks up the rain and then produces an abundance of carrots and corn for its gardener gets God’s “Well done!” But if it produces weeds and thistles, it’s more likely to get cussed out [depart from Me ye workers of iniquity]. Fields like that are burned, not harvested.
    Hebrews 6:1‭-‬8 MSG

It’s past time to get foundational truths squared away:
    1. FAITH (belief) and REPENTANCE;
    2. BAPTISMS (plural) of water and Spirit;
    3. LAYING ON OF HANDS (for healing, for anointing to office, for imparting the Holy Ghost or spiritual gifts [Mark 16:18; Acts 6:6 & 8:19; 1Tim. 4:14; 2 Tim. 1:6]);
    4. RESURRECTION to either eternal reward or eternal judgment.

These, as the MSG translation puts it, are preschool fingerpainting exercises. These things even the the youngest Christians among us should understand. However, if we don’t lay this foundation well and move on to the meat of the Word, men are in danger of falling AND it is possible to fall.

I don’t believe the next few verses are talking about disobedient prodigals, who retain their belief in truth but are not living it. We have all seen backsliders pray back through and live faithfully for God after years of being away. These prodigals may have given themselves over to sin, but they will still tell anyone who asks that Jesus is God and that the Holy Ghost is real.

Rather, I believe the writer is talking about those who received the Truth, the Holy Ghost, and spiritual gifts, but then turned their backs on believing in Jesus or in Jesus alone. These men were enlightened with truth, they received the Holy Ghost, they could quote verses of the Bible and had tasted of the powers of Heaven. In other words, they operated in the gifts of the Spirit: they laid hands on the sick in Jesus name, they cast out devils in Jesus name, they performed many signs and wonders in Jesus name, they spoke in tongues and interpreted and prophesied. Then, they turned their backs on that very name. After all they experienced, they fell away from believing that Jesus was God.

Somehow, these became reprobates in their thinking and began to believe that there is salvation and power in another name or that there was no need for salvation at all. They rejected the truth they were given, that they had operated in, and turned to lies. These cannot return to the truth they trampled. Their minds can no longer receive the light they extinguished.

That is why it is important that we learn and teach the deeper truths of the Word of God. Experience alone is not enough to keep people grounded. We must come to an understanding of who God is, that He is God alone, and that He has a plan that He is executing in this world. We must grasp the privileges and the responsibilities that accompany salvation. We must see the Gospel truth written on each page and then transcribe it onto our own hearts as well. Finally, we must fully understand that He is the God who both embodies and requires faithfulness.

  30. 9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

We are in a race-which is not to the fastest, but it’s unto the end. We must keep laboring where we can-he remembers all you have done for the kingdom and there is still things we can do, all in love of souls. He has an expected end for each of us, he desires that we prosper and be in good health as our souls prosper…it’s a win-win when we have hope and labor to enter into his rest.

  31. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    KINGDOM ENDURANCE

12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

In every organized sport I have ever participated in, it was required that we FIRST run a specific amount of time and or distance. To my young mind, this was a useless waste of time and energy. However as I grew older my understanding was opened to what all that unprofitable running was for. “ENDURANCE”

It matters not how good or skilled you are if you do not have the endurance, conditioning or breath to perform.

KINGDOM ENDURANCE is built by PATIENCE for the Promise. There are no instant potatoes, microwave popcorn or fast food drive thrus in The Kingdom. Every promise of GOD is ours for the receiving. But, we must possess KINGDOM ENDURANCE through FAITH and PATIENCE to obtain it.

The tests and trials that we face may seem like a waste of precious Kingdom Time, but remember, GOD is conditioning us to obtain HIS promises. Keep WALKING in the SPIRIT, continue RUNNING for the LORD, PRAY everyday and READ, STUDY and APPLY the WORD of GOD.

2Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

  32. 1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

3 And this will we do, if God permit.

Some never grow up and mature spiritually. They are in the same ritual each day, repent, go their way and sin, return and repent. They never get beyond the first works of salvation. We are admonished to grow in God.

When you plant a seed, you don’t just plant it and walk away and expect it to produce fruit all by it self. There must be care taken each day – water the plant, see that it has enough sun, give it miracle grow if necessary, weed around it, sometimes even prune it back, but the fruit/flower that it produces make it all worth the effort.

Our spiritual lives are the same – we must feed our spiritual man daily through the Word of God and prayer/communication with the Lord. Sometimes we must pruned, sometimes we have weed the “carnal” things out of our lives. We must expose ourselves to the “SON” everyday, listening and waiting to hear His voice for our instructions. Not only will we grow and mature and become disciples of action, but we will reproduce the seed in us, so that others can grow and mature as well.

  33. “So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:18-19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Oh what a wonderful refuge we have in Jesus, He is our hope and in Him we can trust.
It is amazing how we can go into His presence at any time with out fear. Thank You Jesus!

  34. 14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

“For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Endurance – the fact or power of enduring an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way.

Many times in our walk with God, there will seem to be seasons that are unpleasant and processes we go through that are not easy.

At times it seems that we may never obtain the promises of God in our life. And it is easy to wonder, “Will God really come through in my situation?” “Will I ever receive my promise?”

But verse 15 tells us the key to receiving our promise is patient endurance. And in Hebrews 10 it’s adds to the need of endurance, we must also be doing the Will of God.

To walk in our promise, we must patiently endure the difficult and sometimes unpleasant process of God while seeking and doing the Will of God!

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”
    ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

  35. 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

If someone falls away we must understand why he or she can’t repent – it is because they don’t want to. It is not as if God prohibits their repentance. Since repentance itself is a work of God, the desire to repent is evidence that he or she has not truly fallen away.
The idea is not that “if you fall away, you can’t ever come back to Jesus.” Instead, the idea is “if you turn your back on Jesus, don’t expect to find salvation anywhere else, especially in the practice of religion apart from the fullness of Jesus.”

  36. 6 and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.

Well, I’ve never heard it put this way before. As a backslider, we are nailing Jesus back on the cross! Which means, your sins are not forgiven. Another verse to use to contradict those who say “once saved, always saved”.

  37. 10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

We often as humans forget things and forget what others have done for us. God doesn’t foegt. He loves us and He loves when we labor for Him. Let us be faithful to show live towards others. For by showing others live we arenahowing God love.

  38. For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
    Hebrews 6:10 NKJV

that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
    Hebrews 6:18 NKJV

    He Knows.
Every work whether small or great we do for the Kingdom of God, He sees and takes notice. He knows of every phone call, every prayer, every bible study, every investment in the Kingdom of time, talent and treasure… He knows and we do it for His name. The reward is in knowing that His promises are true and if He said it, he cannot lie there for it is yes and amen. And it will come to pass. What we must understand though He will be faithful, He is our exceeding great reward.

  39. 1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Our works need to be alive and well! We need to put our faith into action and spread the Gospel of Christ and what his Kingdom represents!

  40. “For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.”(Hebrews‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

I know that the God I serve is fair in all ways

  41. He’s a loving God he never forgets you and he sees how hard you try to do his good works for his kingdom. He sees the way your heart is for showing his love to believers that stand firmly on the truth.

  42. 13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

When God speaks, his word valids itself. When he makes a promise, he committed to come thru, because he seared by himself.

Let be assured that, we take Gods words to the bank. He never lies and is incapable of lying.

  43. 10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

“Only what you do for Christ will last.” As it says here God will not forget the works to put in to the kingdom. God will not forget your labors of love for the kingdom. Put FIRST the kingdom and everything else will be added unto you.

  44. “For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:4-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

We have to share the word, stay focused, and seek the higher things of Christ. We must bare the fruit of Christ. Showing the fruit of the spirit and leading others to salvation.

  45. For how can those who abandon their faith be brought back to repent again? They were once in God’s light; they tasted heaven’s gift and received their share of the Holy Spirit; they knew from experience that God’s word is good, and they had felt the powers of the coming age. And then they abandoned their faith! It is impossible to bring them back to repent again, because they are again crucifying the Son of God and exposing him to public shame.
    Hebrews 6:4‭-‬6 GNB

Reading this over and over again. I’m stuck. It’s hard to believe that it’s that easy to put Christ back on the cross, back in the suffering that he went through for our sake. It’s easy to abandoned your faith to walk away from salvation, it’s so easy to ask for that forgiveness and then be subject to falling away with the evilness this world has to offer. The world makes it easy. The world makes it’s acceptable. But was it easy for Christ to take that cross for us? To take those slashes to take that crown to be ridiculed and shamed for doing nothing wrong? He was a healer he was a teacher and in all of his acts he brought nothing but kindness, hope, and love. It’s impossible to repent because your heart just simply doesn’t care. you’ve abandoned the fact that he died for you you’ve abandoned Christ in his time of suffering you deny him again and again when you abandon your faith.

  46. 9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Keep working hard for the kingdom because God sees the work that you are doing. You may not feel like you are receiving any praise or reward right now for the work you are doing. But God has something marvelous on store for you in heaven.

  47. 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Anchors use weight to hold the boat in place, just like Jesus is our hope. We hold steadfast onto him in faith, that he will not let us go. He has given us free access to him because the veil was rent the moment of his death. He welcomes us into his throne room any time. When we stand firm and steadfast against the things of this world he will be other to set the course and guide us.
