Read Proverbs Chapter 16

1 Peter 4

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

  1. Likewise, you who are younger and of lesser rank, be subject to the elders (the ministers and spiritual guides of the church)–[giving them due respect and yielding to their counsel]. Clothe (apron) yourselves, all of you, with humility [as the garb of a servant, so that its covering cannot possibly be stripped from you, with freedom from pride and arrogance] toward one another. For God sets Himself against the proud (the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful)–[and He opposes, frustrates, and defeats them], but gives grace (favor, blessing) to the humble. [Prov. 3:34.] Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you, Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. [Ps. 55:22.]
    1 Peter 5:5‭-‬7

Always respect the leader in your life! God has put a Sister in my life, who is teaching me, who has advice, and if she feels a release (for lack of a better way to put it) shes gives me her advice, and I respect it, but Alito of times she will lovingly say ” Sister, you need to talk to your Pastor”. She is a AWESOME example of submission to the Man of God! We have to be obedient, I learned that everything that is asked of us to do is for a purpose, we may never find out what that purpose is, but who cares, Obedience is better than Sacrifice! And if we dont want to do it, but do this thing, without murmuring and complaining, that’s Submission, I’m sure she would love to tell me what her advice is, but she submits and says to go to your Pastor, or first Lady, You dont have to be in their face to isubmitt, it’s in how we speak of them, it’s how we pray for them, it’s in that way we acknowledge them, do we great them like they are just another brother and sister, No we great them like they are the Mouth piece for God, because that is who Pastor is, God speaks to him about us, our situation, he uses him to speak a word directly to us, he uses him to correct us, And he has to give account for us. He is our Moses, and it’s our responsibility to lift up his Arms!

  2. In [connection with] all this, they [the unbelievers] are resentful and surprised that you do not [think like them, value their values and] run [hand in hand] with them into the same excesses of dissipation and immoral freedom, and they criticize and abuse and ridicule you and make fun of your values. But they will [have to] give an account to Him who is ready to judge and pass sentence on the living and the dead. For this is why the good news [of salvation] was preached [in their lifetimes] even to those who are dead, that though they were judged in the flesh as men are, they may live in the spirit according to [the will and purpose of] God.
    1 PETER 4:4‭-‬6 AMP
Here’s a thought:🤔 the world persecutes those that don’t see things their way. Look at the witch trials. People were removed from office and executed for just saying one word out of context. Our beliefs are against what the world wants; coexist. At first I thought cool way to use religious symbols, but as I have grown; I’ve become more aware that this is of the world. That has nothing to do with God, but everything to do with gods. Idols; people will do anything to make God a god. I hate to brake the news, but God is alive. Those you are looking into are very much dead and can bring nothing to you eternal life. So why; 😧 you want to fit in. I want to fit in as well, but where I want to fit in is the Kingdom of God. I could care less about what the world thinks of me. It’s what God thinks of me that’s important. Every last one of us will be judge and nobody can go before us and plead a case to God;🤯 only we can stand before the Throne and let God judge. What will He say to you.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from M e [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’
    MATTHEW 7:21‭-‬23 AMP
It is all up to us individually to save our soul. Only we are responsible for our own salvation. Jesus guide my heart to enter into your Kingdom; to serve you Lord.

  3. Verses 7-11 MSG “Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer. Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything. Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless—cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything—encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!” What a fitting message for today, let us go show the love of Christ to our community. As the song “Let Them See You” says:

Let them see you, In me
Let them hear you, When I speak
Let them feel you, When I sing
    Let them see you
Let them see you in me

  4. 1So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin.a 2You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God. 3You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy—their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols. (NLT)

I find the more we move through this world in today’s society, we are seeing more and more Christians coming under attack. We find that the closer to the coming of God we get, the more the world becomes more chaotic. We have to stay strong because we are going to be ridiculed for being different. The word states the we come out among them and be ye separate from their ways. Many in the end will try to justify the end with the means of why they turn away from God. I find the more I am tried and the more I am looked at the more I find there is only one that I can trust and depend on. That one is one that sticketh closer than a brother, he is my Heavenly Father. His name is Jesus, and he is there when I need him the most.

It’s not about what I want or desire. I have to continue to seek first the kingdom of God so that I will be what and where God wants me. Without him I’m nothing.

    I love the kingdom !

  5. The high calling in your life.

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
    Philippians 3:14

This is not for the faint of heart. When we truly get the revelation of who Jesus is and what He did for us, we are then held to a higher standard in God. Just like if I learn a new system at my job and get certified to do it, I then am expected and held to a higher standard than someone who has just been hired. But it doesn’t just stop at knowing about the truth, but doing it. I press means I am pushing towards the higher standard of living in Christ Jesus.
In the Kingdom of God we must press to grow and deepen our knowledge of what He is wanting. The King has summoned us to His court to for a higher calling.
Young people- I challenge us, to seek God for understand of how to gain a deeper relationship with Him. We have to pursue it. Young men, I promise that if you pursue God like you want or are pursuing that young Lady, God will bless you and show His will for your life. Young ladies- if you will pursue God , like you want to be pursued by that young Man. GOD will bless you and show you His will and purpose for your life.
We all have a higher calling than where we are today, we have too pursue it and seek after it. Seek you FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

  6. 1 Peter 4
7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

    Message
7-11 Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Oh, yes!

It’s evident everywhere we go people are seeking something.. we the church have got to tell everyone about God’s everkeeping Power and Love. As I look into the faces of people they just go with the flow to what ever is going on around them. If we don’t stand up and tell them there is something more no one else will either. Lord help me not to back down even if it embarrasses others I’m with even if it makes them feel uncomfortable. People everywhere are going to be lost. If we can just give them a bit of hope that there is a God who can make a difference. God will receive the Glory for its by His power. Give us wisdom Lord to reach the lost . Everywhere we go help us to be bold knowing that if they are hungry they will receive.
Seek first the Kingdom of God. In Jesus name.
To God Be the Glory !!!!!!

  7. 8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Fervent means without ceasing. We should have a continual love for the people of God because He first loved us. What if Jesus had selective love or momentary lapses of His love for us? Many of us would probably be cut out knowing the things we’ve done. But God’s love is never failing, never ending, and covers a multitude of sins! To be like Jesus, we must love everyone!

  8. 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Trials will happen. It doesn’t mean God is punishing us. It doesn’t mean you messed up in life. Trials are just a part of life. Kids acting out, losing our job, or getting sick but it’s how we handle these trails that matter. We should hold fast to God and worship him. We should praise him through the storm.

  9. 10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

In the parable of the talents, every man was given a task to take what he had and to multiply it. It didn’t matter that it was less than the other person or more their job had nothing to do with with the other people did with theirs but just to multiply what they had. While that parable is talkin about money per se you can also easily related 2 actual talents and gifts. Everybody is given a measure of Faith and gifts to work with and it’s called to multiply and increase in that. Whatever gifting you have it is not for you to sit on but you grow into use for the kingdom of God.

  10. 7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Watching and praying and keeping our eyes fixed on him will keep us in the kingdom and will help us see the need to reach out for others. Our time is short because we see the evil creeping in and taking hold of our society faster than ever before. The love of souls will bring the endtime revival as we show them true salvation in his word.

  11. For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

  12. “God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”
    ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Aspiritual gift is a God-given ability, distributed to individual Christians by the Holy Spirit that allows us to work in our lives to help the church execute its mission on earth.
Not everyone has the same gifts.

“In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:6-8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:5-11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  13. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

  14. The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

  15. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    KINGDOM JOY

12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

KINGDOM JOY is not conditional, situational, or partial. KINGDOM JOY is RELATIONAL. Because we have RELATIONSHIP with The KING of Glory. We are empowered to possess JOY at any and all times. When JESUS is our source of JOY and not success or power or attention. We are able to be alone and live in exceeding joy.

This principal reveals the carnality of murmurers, complainers and sad people. As we Seek FIRST The Kingdom of GOD, Live HOLY and acceptable lives, we best demonstrate our RELATIONSHIP with GOD when we possess JOY in times of trials and in times of suffering.

JESUS is the fuel for my JOY!

  16. 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
    ——-
It’s not getting any better, but those ( usc the church..) prayer is our weapon, shield, our deliverance, our help, our breath…. prayer.

  17. 8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

Having worked in retail for many years, I can say sometimes it’s not easy being hospitable all the day, it’s not always easy to have a giving spirit. Some days people will grate on your last nerve and test your patience. But through it all you need to endure because even the people of the world can be nice to people that they want to be nice to. Even if we need to pray for strength we need to co tune to have a giving spirit so we can represent Christ’s love to other people.

  18. Peter 1:4 7-8 [ Amp] But the end and culmination of all things has now come near keep sound minded and self – restrained and alert therefore for [ the practice of ] prayer. Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, For love covers a multitude of sins [ forgivess and disregards the offenses of others]. [ Prov .10 : 12] Hatred stirs up contentions , But love covers all transgression. Reach, teach, Help, lead, whatever it takes to be save. We must be saved.

  19. Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.
    1 Peter 4:8 NLT

A big problem for many Christians today is that we are more prone to protect ourselves than to allow ourselves to suffer for love’s sake. We’re willing to show God’s love if it doesn’t require too much of us, if the recipients are appropriately grateful, if they don’t keep coming back for more. We tend to give love that’s filtered, measured, compared to what we get in return. Always giving a protected part, rather than offering to anyone our whole heart.

What if we gave unprotected love to the world around us? If we tore down the walls of fear and doubt, pain and pride, prejudice and presumption? What if we stopped with the “what if’s” and the “yeah but’s,” and just let a deep and unprotected love flow out? What if we tore up the record of wrongs we’ve suffered, and laid our backs bare to the whipping post, set our schedules free to the Master, opened our wallets wide to the offering plate? What could we accomplish if we weren’t afraid of being hurt, of being used, of being taken advantage of? If we weren’t protecting ourselves from pain and insulating ourselves from problems or discomforts?

Our protected love is a sign of only one thing: idolatry. I’ll love you, if you love me, because I’m all I really care about. I’ll love others, if it makes me feel good or look good, if it profits me, if it doesn’t require too much.of me.

We promise to love, we even pretend to love, but rarely do we fervently and sincerely offer true, life-giving, self-sacrificing love. It might cost too much. It might hurt too much. This cross just might be too heavy to bear.

Yes, love hurts. But it also heals, it helps, it hopes, and it hallows. It makes way for Holy God to fill the emptied spaces of broken hearts and troubled earth.

How many people have I already hurt with my protected love? How many times have I failed to go, to speak, to help, because I was too afraid of the sacrifice, the risk? I could have opened my hand, my heart, my home, if only I wasn’t so preoccupied with protecting myself.

We’ll never know what God can do with us, through us, and for us if we don’t repent of the walls, boundaries, excuses, and thousand other ways we’ve instituted to protect ourselves from giving all. This was an all or nothing love affair for our Lord. He suffered to love sinners like you and me; but if we struggle to love one another with a pure heart, fervently, how will we ever offer ourselves to a lost and dying and love-starved world?

“So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God…
So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.”
    1 Peter 4:1-2,19 NLT

  20. “So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.”
    ‭‭
Thank you Jesus! The Lord allows suffering for a couple reasons. One is to put to shame the wicked who insult you but the other is to test our faith. So, the next time the wicked rise up against you just praise the Lord and watch God be glorified

  21. “You have already lived long enough like people who don’t know God. You were immoral and followed your evil desires. You went around drinking and partying and carrying on. In fact, you even worshiped disgusting idols. Now your former friends wonder why you have stopped running around with them, and they curse you for it.”
    ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭CEV

I’m so thankful to have Godly parents that raised me in truth so I can stand here and say my testimony is never having to/never wanting to live such a lifestyle. I’ve always been confident in what I believe and who I am in the eyes of God and for that I am thankful.

  22. 7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Everyday we see more and more signs of the endtime at hand, yet so many have been rocked to sleep by the pleasures of this world. We must be awakened by the Spirit of God and quickened each day that it could be our last. Who am I telling about Jesus? Who am I sharing the love of God with? As I concerned so that many people around me are living with Jesus ? Do they even know who Jesus is? More importantly can they see Jesus in me? In my actions? In what I say? In what I do?

We cannot be the “Jesus” to this world without spending time in prayer. We must die daily to ourselves and be about the Father’s business – He is in the soul business.

  23. 1 Peter 4:12-14 (voice)
    12) Dear ones, don’t be surprised when you experience your trial by fire. It is not something strange and unusual,
    13) But it is something you should rejoice in, In it you share the Anointed’s sufferings, and you will be that much more joyful when His glory is revealed.
    14) If anyone condemns you for following Jesus as the Anointed One, consider yourself blessed. The glorious spirit of God rest on you.

These scriptures reminded me of when I first became a Christian at the age of 15. My oldest brother would mock me, laugh at me, tease me, and make fun of me. I was new in the Lord and it really hurt me. So, I took it to the Lord in prayer, and these are the verses He gave me – Romans 8:16-18.
    16) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
    17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ: if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
    18) For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

When sharing in the sufferings of Christ, we can REJOICE. We are BLESSED because the spirit of God rests upon us.

  24. God is or one and only life loving savior and we should respect that is given. God has done many things in your life, and you should be thankful for that. You might of and many sacrifices and went through a lot of things to be in his kingdom, but at the end it’s ALL worth it. God wants everyone to be saved in his name. We have to bring the last with Kingdom so they too can receive the gift of God. Reach out to the last in Macon found in his name do you just want all of his children to glorify him one day, we are the ones who have to bring them to his kingdom. We’ve been through saving and how he made a saved now all we have to do is bring other people to him like he brought us to him.Reqch fourth don’t give up keep praying and fasting and repenting receive the Holy Ghost, make sure all of your friends and family members know about Jesus and how he died on the cross for them and how important he is. Without God in the world would be nothing. He made the heavens and the earth and us. Why would we disrespect God when he brought us into this world? Why would we backslide and forget all about him like he was never there? Think about it why, why, because sometimes we forget and let the world reach into our hearts and not leave enough space for God. We must always always always make sure that there’s room for our Savior Lord Jesus Christ. We must pray every day, call all of our family members and friends untill they responded they’re coming to church . Don’t give up POFW!! Breakthrough and then break forth preach the word minister the word carry the word to all countries. We cannot stop in to the whole world knows who he is. Go call those here members that need saving and call those friends that also needs a breakthrough and then break forth preach the word minister the word carry the word to all countries. We cannot stop in to the whole world knows who he is. Go call those for members that need saving and call those friends that also need saving. These are people who we care about, and we don’t want them to go to waste. God made us in them for a reason he wants to use all of us in his kingdom. But some people don’t even know about him so how are they going to serve in his kingdom? We have to know and we have to teach them and give them Bible studies and come to church in our prayer meetings for them to know. If we’re not leaders and don’t do it we’re supposed to do how are they going to know that they are doing the right thing? BE LEADERS, REACH FORTH, AND PRAY THROUGH,POFW!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

  25. Thank you Jesus, I receive your word with Faith .
With Christ we can can win any battle , through him I find peace ,strength, direction .

Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you. But remember that they will have to face God, who stands ready to judge everyone, both the living and the dead. That is why the Good News was preached to those who are now dead —so although they were destined to die like all people, they now live forever with God in the Spirit. The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.

  26. 1 Peter 4:12-13
    12) Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
    13) But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

  27. I Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. Romans 13:11

We must keep The Kingdom First to be ready for His coming.

  28. I Love To Worship The Lord
    (vs-19)
So if you are suffering according to Gods will keep on doing what is right and trust yourself to the God who made you for he will never fail you.
    Committing ourselves to God
Why to Him as Faithful Creator? Because we remember that He is the Power who shaped and sustains the universe itself. Trusting ourselves to Him completely we are free to continue to do good.
    We can “do something”
Praise God if you suffer for doing good

  29. God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 1 Peter 4:10 NLT
God’s gifts are meant to bless and serve others not bring attention or glory to self.
Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen. 1 Peter 4:11 NLT
We must recognize that if the gift came from God then we cannot take credit for it. All glory and honor belongs to the One who gave us the gift, the Lord Jesus Christ!
That no flesh should glory in his presence.
    1 Corinthians 1:29 KJV

  30. “Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.”
    ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

You’ve ever heard he thankful for the hard times. Thankful for the trials. Thankful for suffering. If you are carnally thinking, it wouldn’t make a bit of sense.

But Jesus doesn’t make sense to things of this world.

When the world says No Way. Jesus says Yes, My Way.
When the world says death. Jesus says Life.

When the world says be broken and bitter. Jesus says to Praise and Rejoice!

Cause He understands in those times when nothing can happen, only His Glory is explainable.

When there’s no where for you to turn, He’s already made a way.

All to Reveal His True Glory to all the World!

  31. Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.
    1 Peter 4:12‭-‬13 NIV

Know your God! It’s not unusual to suffer in life, in fact it’s quit common. Bills pile up, engine goes out on a vehicle or even that blessing that you were expecting just hasn’t quit gotten to you in the time frame you expected. Any tribulation you are going through, have gone through, or hope you don’t go through, has a purpose. It’s to build faith. If you are going through something check your faith. Don’t be surprised just as you get content in the way your living and not striving to go further in Christ, that God won’t throw something at you so that you can go deeper into him. He calls to us and he knows the only way that he gets our attention is when we need something. Sad but true. So check your faith always pray always give thanks always as we want more of him the more he wants more of us. Think about the great debt of Christ’s sufferings. I do. We should. It’s not to much to ask that you give him your heart because he laid down his life. FAITH IS A CHOICE. We choose to have faith it’s not givin we choose to have faith. It’s only by faith that we are able to gain his grace. I choose faith in God so that his grace will be givin to me.

  32. 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

The sufferings and struggles of today will not compare to what we will feel when we are face to face before God. Keep fighting and pushing forward; it will be worth it!

  33. So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God. You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy—their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols.
    1 Peter 4:1‭-‬3 NLT

We have had enough! We are finished and fed up with those lifestyles. The old man is passed away. All things are made new. I thank You Lord for pulling me from the pit and transforming my identity, my DNA, ALL OF ME!!! I GIVE YOU GLORY!!!

  34. God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.
    1 Peter 4:10‭-‬11 NLT

The gifts that God has given to us are for us to use and not keep them hidden. We must use them to help other and so God will receive the glory.

  35. 1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

God I give you the Glory and praise! No weapon formed against me will prosper or put me down!

  36. 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

Pop quiz time!! How many like to me tested? I get most of us would say that test are not too fun. But they are to test us. So are the trials we face in life. They are to try us. Try our faith, our confidence, our trust and love for God. No one likes the process there might be things you may not know the answer to and the teacher is quiet. The best thing is to answer with what you know how to do. The process takes time but in that the Lord shows us what and where we are lacking or what we need to improve. The Reward is greater than the trial, process and or suffering. We may not understand all his ways but we know His love will always he there. In all of it, you get to know you and you get to know Him. In the end is all that we may be like him. To be Holy, just like He is Holy. To be like Him I his likeness in his character transformed by the renewing of our minds. Being in the end result approved, christ like and hearing the passing grade in the end…. well done…

  37. Everything that we do should be done with excellence. It should be done like it is going to God because people watch what we do. Also, God watches more than people and he knows the intent of your hearts too.

  38. 11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

We all have different gifts that Jesus has given us. As we develop our gift we must do it as if it was done unto the Lord. We have to be filled with the Holy Ghost so we can speak life to them, serve them as Jesus, care for them like Jesus, love them like Jesus, etc. We can’t let our emotions get in the way but let the Spirit of God guide us and do what Jesus would do. That is my daily prayer to be more and more like Jesus so I can love, feel, touch, act like Him. Jesus help me be more like you Lord!!!

  39. 3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

In the beginning of this chapter, it explains to us how we either need to or have already turned away from past sins, parties and worldly pleasures.

7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

This chapter then goes on to explain how now that we’ve turned away from those things how important it is to stay away from that lifestyle. Because the end is near, it’s important to stay true and always in prayer.

8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

I really find this verse amusing. “Charity will cover a multitude of sins. . . “ we see this every day. Seemingly Nice people get away with a lot more wrongdoings than others. We see Talk show hosts and day time tv host giving away prizes and rewards to everyone in their audience. In turn so many find it easy to look over their sins and see their “nice” side. Again, “ charity will cover a MULTITUDE of sins.” Multitude but not all! The sin is still there, still prevalent, still real, it didn’t go anywhere. It’s just easier to turn a blind eye with all the Charities being given.

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

This chapter also urges us to not turn away another Christian honestly trying and trying not to fall into temptation again. “Let him not be ashamed,” lifting up our brother or sister after falling into sin.
Judgement should come from the house of God. It should not come from us directly. That’s not our job. Our job is to welcome them back with open arms. “Let him not be ashamed.”

  40. Armed and ready

    1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

What are we arming ourselves with or for?
The scripture says to arm our minds, this is because the battle is right there, in our minds.
We arm ourself with the word of God, putting on the whole armor of God. So that we may stand against the whiles of the devil.

  41. 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

What good does it do to win the whole world and lose my soul….. got to keep this flesh in check!!!
