1 Samuel 10

Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the Lord hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?

When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?

Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine:

And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands.

After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:

And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.

And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do.

And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.

10 And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

11 And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?

12 And one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?

13 And when he had made an end of prophesying, he came to the high place.

14 And Saul’s uncle said unto him and to his servant, Whither went ye? And he said, To seek the asses: and when we saw that they were no where, we came to Samuel.

15 And Saul’s uncle said, Tell me, I pray thee, what Samuel said unto you.

16 And Saul said unto his uncle, He told us plainly that the asses were found. But of the matter of the kingdom, whereof Samuel spake, he told him not.

17 And Samuel called the people together unto the Lord to Mizpeh;

18 And said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, and of them that oppressed you:

19 And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes, and by your thousands.

20 And when Samuel had caused all the tribes of Israel to come near, the tribe of Benjamin was taken.

21 When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was taken: and when they sought him, he could not be found.

22 Therefore they enquired of the Lord further, if the man should yet come thither. And the Lord answered, Behold he hath hid himself among the stuff.

23 And they ran and fetched him thence: and when he stood among the people, he was higher than any of the people from his shoulders and upward.

24 And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the Lord hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king.

25 Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the Lord. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.

26 And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.

27 But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought no presents. But he held his peace.

  1. Verse 9 MSG “Saul turned and left Samuel. At that very moment God transformed him—made him a new person! And all the confirming signs took place the same day.” As soon as Saul turned in obedience to what he was being instructed to do “Boom”, transformed, forever changed, a new person. God can use any willing vessel.

Romans 12:2-3 AMP “And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [a]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. For by the grace [of God] given to me I say to everyone of you not to think more highly of himself [and of his importance and ability] than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has apportioned to each a degree of faith [and a purpose designed for service].” Let us LIVE-GIVE JESUS!

  2. 27 But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought no presents. But he held his peace.

There is always going to be those that will despise your anointing. No matter how hard you work to serve God and do for the kingdom, there will always be those that will be intimidated. These individuals should not cause you to be distracted from your mission and calling. God has ordained you and not man.

Scripture states that God does not look at us like man does. We can not allow people to distract us from serving God with all our hearts, mind, and soul. We have to keep reaching the list even when we don’t have supporters. We have to keep pushing even when we are not popular. We have to keep living Jesus to be able to give Jesus when no one else wants to.

  3. Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you mightily, and you will prophesy with them, and you will be changed into another man. Then it happened when Saul turned his back to leave Samuel, God changed his heart; and all those signs came to pass that day. Now when all who knew Saul previously saw that he actually prophesied now [by inspiration] with the prophets, the people said one to another, “What has happened to [Saul, who is nobody but] the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”
    1 Samuel 10:6‭, ‬9‭, ‬11 AMP

What a word and change of heart for Saul!
It just shows that the LORD is no respecter of persons!
HALLELUJAH. The LORD will always keep His word. He truly is looking for a person of obedience and a willingness to work in His Kingdom for such a time as this. COVID-19 brings GREAT REVIVAL TO POFW!!!

Later, I will give my Spirit to everyone. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will have dreams, and your young men will see visions. In those days I will even give my Spirit to my servants, both men and women.
    Joel 2:28‭-‬29 CEV

  4. I Samuel 10
6 The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person. 7 Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you.

8 “Go down ahead of me to Gilgal. I will surely come down to you to sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, but you must wait seven days until I come to you and tell you what you are to do.”

    Saul Made King
9 As Saul turned to leave Samuel, God changed Saul’s heart, and all these signs were fulfilled that day. 10 When he and his servant arrived at Gibeah, a procession of prophets met him; the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, and he joined in their prophesying. 11 When all those who had formerly known him saw him prophesying with the prophets, they asked each other, “What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”

Oh what a change God can make ! His ways are higher than anything. His power to turn a life completely around .

2 Corinthians 5:17–Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

This young man went out looking for His father’s donkeys and returned completely different! There is no telling what God is getting ready to do . I pray in Jesus name that men and women are going to be changed and filled with the spirit of God. Saul immediately began prophesying as he was surrounded with those Samuel told him he would meet. Oh what a change God can make!

  5. 9 And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.

God can change your entire nature. He can do it to the point where you become a different being. Don’t ever doubt the power God has because in him is where your freedom lies. We can reach past our own desires to grab a hold of what God wants. Greater is he that is within us than he that is in the world.

  6. 18 And said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, and of them that oppressed you:
19 And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes, and by your thousands.
20 And when Samuel had caused all the tribes of Israel to come near, the tribe of Benjamin was taken.
21 When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was taken: and when they sought him, he could not be found.

  7. 10 And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.
11 And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?

The gifts and callings of God are without repentance. God can use anybody at any time for anything. The gift of prophecy is not just for the elite people it’s for those who are willing to be obedient. We do have to be careful when listening to someone who says that they are prophesying but anyone can still be used in the gifts of God. The Bible later to decalre the way to discern between a false prophet and a true prophet my stating that if it comes true then they are a true prophet.

  8. 1Samuel 10 : 6-7 [ amp] Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you mighty, and you will show yourself to be a prophet with them; and you will be turned into another man.
[7] When these signs meet you, do whatever you find to be done, for God is with you.
This scripture reminds me of being born again.
11 Corinthians 5: 17] Therefore if any person is [ ingrafted] in Christ ( the Messiah)he is a new creation( a new creature altogether); the old [ previous mortal and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, ths fresh and new has come!
Being wash clean for the remission of your sins!
Haula Praises be to God our Savior!

  9. 26 And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.

27 But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought no presents. But he held his peace.

This is the perfect example that you can’t please everyone. Not everyone accepted God’s chosen king. Just like no everyone is going to like you. It’s no big deal. If I were to stop what I was called to do just because so and so didn’t like me I will never be able to serve God the way He wants me to serve Him. So, do not be influenced by the hater, for haters will always hate, just keep loving, keep serving, and keep giving JESUS.

  10. 10:16 and Saul said unto his uncle,, he told us plainly that the asses were found,, But of the matter of the Kingdom
Whereof Samuel spake, he told him nothing.
    ———
there are going to be times,( in our walk with God) In which
Certain things are going to be kept, between God and the person.
we remember the passage :*Marry kept all these things in her heart…
And it’s ok. In time these things shall be exposed, talked to… share…

  11. But there were some scoundrels who complained, “How can this man save us?” And they scorned him and refused to bring him gifts. But Saul ignored them. [Nahash, king of the Ammonites, had been grievously oppressing the people of Gad and Reuben who lived east of the Jordan River. He gouged out the right eye of each of the Israelites living there, and he didn’t allow anyone to come and rescue them. In fact, of all the Israelites east of the Jordan, there wasn’t a single one whose right eye Nahash had not gouged out. But there were 7,000 men who had escaped from the Ammonites, and they had settled in Jabesh-gilead.]
    1 Samuel 10:27 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/1sa.10.27.NLT

When Saul received his calling he ignored the naysayers. It was God who called Him. What could man do to him? With everything he saw God do through Samuel how could his faith not be strengthened?

  12. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    NOT OFFENDED

27 But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought no presents. But he held his peace.

In chaotic times such as we live it is easy to witness conflicts of interest and attitude, even within the church GOD is so far reaching that HE brings people together from all walks of life and from all points of view. GOD can do this when we are all Kingdom Minded or Seeking First the Kingdom of GOD. But when JESUS ceases to be the Center of it all, personal feelings and emotions get involved and there comes a division or separation of sides such as we see here in verse 27.

They anointed the King but some were not of the King and it was revealed by their lack of support or participation. Here is where true Submission and Leadership are revealed. When Saul recognized that the group despised him, and brought no support or gifts he could have called them out and identified their actions. BUT.

Saul kept his mouth shut and enjoyed the moment, but many would be offended. Every Leader will face these points of opposition, from my perspective Leaders have 3 options:

    1. Be offended and call them out
    2. Risk offending others and change something
    3. Enjoy the moment and carry on

I am far from the perfect Leader, but I do pray that JESUS fills me with HIS Spirit as I seek HIS Word and follow HIS Will and it is my responsibility to proceed in Life and Ministry NOT OFFENDED.

    The Psalmist penned:

Psalm 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

    JESUS said:

Matthew 11:6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Kingdom Prayer and Kingdom approach are important to PEACE in our lives. Ride on King JESUS!

  13. iLove Jesus
1Sa 10:6 And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.
1Sa 10:7 And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.

In the Old Testament when kings, priests, and prophets received the Holy Ghost they prophesied. The Holy Ghost would change their hearts just like he changes our hearts today. The evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost was to prophesy. This is simply speaking in the language you know but God is the one giving you the words to speak. This is why the ancient people on the day of Pentecost had no issue with speaking in tongues as evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost. The only thing that changed was the language of the Spirit.

  14. 9 And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.

Samuel had already anointed him, and prophesied to him what would happen and God confirmed it by giving Saul another heart. A heart after God, a heart to do what God was instructing him to do.

This gives me hope that sometimes we pray for people and it seems that their heart is far from where it needs to be. But if we will follow God, the leading of His Spirit, call those things that are not as though they were, speak life and not death, I believe God will give them a new heart as well, a heart to love Him, to live for Him to do what He has called them to do.

AMP – Hebrews 8:10 “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their minds [even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding], And engrave them upon their hearts [effecting their regeneration]. And I will be their God, And they shall be My people.

  15. “But some worthless men said, “How can this man save and rescue us?” And they regarded Saul with contempt and did not bring him a gift. But he ignored the insult and kept silent.”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭10:27‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Not everyone is going to be happy with your growth or promotion but we need to be like Saul and ignore it. Saul could have responded out of anger but instead he remained silent.

  16. 9 And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.

Called, touched, and chosen. Saul was obedient through it all. He immediately recognized the authority Samuel had and submitted himself. I’ve always heard it said: it’s the ones who humble themselves, the ones who submit and obey, the ones who gladly serve under authority – these are the ones whom God elevates and uses for the glory of His Kingdom.

  17. Man sometimes look down on Christian’s for their beliefs the best we can do is not be distracted by them and ignore them or we can try to accept them.

  18. 9 And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.
10 And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

Saul was even given the gift of prophecy as confirmation of the Holy Spirit’s power over his life. Saul experienced a change but then, over the next few years, Saul allowed his human pride and sin to take over and choke out the life that God had given him. The big truth here is that none of us can succeed without Jesus Christ giving us a changed heart, and a changed life. He knows what He’s doing in our lives. All we need to do is choose to humble ourselves before Him.

  19. 22 Therefore they enquired of the Lord further, if the man should yet come thither. And the Lord answered, Behold he hath hid himself among the stuff.

23 And they ran and fetched him thence: and when he stood among the people, he was higher than any of the people from his shoulders and upward.

It is good to be conscious of our unworthiness and insufficiency for the services to which we are called; but men should not go into the contrary extreme, by refusing the employments to which the Lord and the church call them. When God called us, it’s God who has called you. You must remember this, He is the one that called us to His Kingdom. Even though there will be people who will treat the matter with indifference. Just remember it is God who has called you to were you are in leadership.

  20. I Samuel 10:7 MSG.
When these confirming signs are accomplished, you’ll know that your ready: Whatever job you’re given to do, do it. God is with you!

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as we have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

  21. 1 Samuel 10:6-7 & 27 (NIV)
As I read this chapter, a few scriptures made me think of other scriptures in the Bible.

    6) The Spirit of the LORD will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophecy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.
2 Cor. 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

    7) Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you.
Ecc. 9:10,” Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do do it with thy might,…”

    27) But some scoundrels said, How can this fellow save us? They despised him and brought him no gifts. But Saul kept silent.
PS. 119:165, “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

  22. 6 And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

Whenever the Holy Ghost falls upon us we are given power and authority that only god gives and it’s our mission to take that power that he gives and go out into this lost world and to do his will rather it be preaching, prophesying or even praying for someone‘s healing. It is our job to do god’s work no matter what comes our way.

  23. 1 Samuel 10:6
[6]At that time the Spirit of the lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them. You will be changed into a different person.
Being born again, baptized and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost will change you. When I look back to where I was to where I am now I’m like thank you Jesus. We must tell others about Jesus and invite them to church. Jesus heals the broken. He is our provider, protector, comforter, healer. He is everything we will ever need. Jesus I pray for the nation that they will come to you for you Jesus are merciful, loving and caring.

You thought I was worth saving
So you came and changed my life
You thought I was worth keeping
So you cleaned me up inside
You thought I was to die for
    So you sacrificed your life
    So I could be free
    So I could be whole
So I could tell everyone I know
You thought I was worth saving
So you came and changed my life
You thought I was worth keeping
So you cleaned me up inside
You thought I was to die for
    So you sacrificed your life
    So I could be free
    So I could be whole
So I could tell everyone I know
You thought I was worth saving
So you came and changed my life

  24. 1Samuel 10:6 And the Spirit of the Lord shall come upon thee, and though shalt prophecy with them, and shalt turn into another man.

Saul was given the gift of prophecy. When the Holy spirit comes over you God takes over and His will shall be done. Every thing is possible with God. At this time we all need to stay true to our Lord Jesus Christ.

  25. “When you leave me today, you will meet two men beside Rachel’s tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah; they will say to you, ‘The donkeys you went to look for have been found. And your father has stopped caring about them and is worried about you, saying, “What shall I do about my son?” ’”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭10:2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We need to trust God’s confirmation along the way. God did not want Saul to doubt his calling later, so he gave him a lot of confirmation.

  26. 9. And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.

    26. And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.

Some hearts God changes instantly, and some He gives time to turn around; I’m just thankful He’s so loving and patient and hasn’t given up, but is still working on me!

    There really ought to be
    A sign upon my heart
    Don’t judge me yet
    There’s an unfinished part
    But I’ll be better
    Just according to His plan
Fashioned by the Master’s loving hands

    He’s still working on me
To make me what I ought to be
It took him just a week
To make the moon and stars
    The Sun and the Earth
    And Jupiter and Mars
How loving and patient He must be
Cause He’s still working on me

  27. “But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace.”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭10:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

No matter what happens in their life, some people won’t ever be satisfied. The children of Israel begged God to give them a King and when He did, some were still not pleased! To me, this speaks to how important our joy is and it made me think of how I react to what God does. Whenever someone is baptized or receives the Holy Ghost, do I rejoice or do I just go through the motions. When a backslider comes back home, am I diligently praying for their victory; do I even concern my selves with their walk with Christ?

I thank God that He has given POFW joy! I thank God that He has given us revival to where we are constantly expecting Him to show up and show out in every service. I speak joy over my POFW family and friends as we are stuck at home. I pray we never let the joy of the Lord go. Love y’all!!

  28. 14 And Saul’s uncle said unto him and to his servant, Whither went ye? And he said, To seek the asses: and when we saw that they were no where, we came to Samuel.
15 And Saul’s uncle said, Tell me, I pray thee, what Samuel said unto you.
16 And Saul said unto his uncle, He told us plainly that the asses were found. But of the matter of the kingdom, whereof Samuel spake, he told him not.

Samuel was talking to his uncle about Donkeys but not the about God kingdom. We need to talk about Jesus when we talk to someone who doesn’t know about God works because our testimony can draw someone to the kingdom of God.

  29. As Saul turned and started to leave, God gave him a new heart, and all Samuel’s signs were fulfilled that day.
    1 Samuel 10:9 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/1sa.10.9.NLT

How important it is to be transformed from your heart to be able to do all that God has called you to do. Before Saul took the role and position Hod gave him a new heart. We must allow God to transform us from within and change our hearts. Then we can go and do all that He called us to.

  30. 18 And said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, and of them that oppressed you:

19 And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes, and by your thousands.

This does not pertain to this chapter but when I read this I was reminded that today this is more important then ever.
We must remember God pulled us out of Egypt he delivered us out of our oppression. He guilds us through our adversities and tribulation and he is calling us out now. We want a solution we want a someone to fix this. We fail to realize we have the solution, we’ve had all along. He’s calling us out to present ourselves, our tribs , he’s calling us out by the thousands.

  31. 16 And Saul said unto his uncle, He told us plainly that the asses were found. But of the matter of the kingdom, whereof Samuel spake, he told him not.

Saul was not willing to share with his uncle the kingdom matter. There are somethings that God will reveal to us that is better spoken in a private prayer room than a public audience. This allows Gods hand to move without our intervention. He doesn’t need us to put ourselves in the matter because it could look like we should gain credit but truth be told it’s all Him.

  32. 24 And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the Lord hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king.

25 Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the Lord. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.

26 And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.

27 But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought no presents. But he held his peace.

    Matthew 22:14
For many are called, but few are chosen.”

We should uphold one another and despise not those that God has ordained. We are all a part of God’s body and are called to serve in some capacity. We have to be willing and able to be molded for His purpose. We live in a time now that so many are lost and searching for something to reassure and calm their fears. Our world is unstable and it is time for us to step up and be what God has called us to do!

    Galatians 5:13
“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”

  33. 24 And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the Lord hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king.
25 Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the Lord. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.
26 And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.
27 But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought no presents. But he held his peace.

All the people shouted, “God save the king.” Yet when they turned and were on their way home talked about him. They despised him and didn’t bring him any gifts. They wondered how he would be able or capable of saving them. Not everyone is always on your side, no matter what level of authority you are at. But that doesn’t diminish the confidence and trust God has in you. It is not about men, but of Him.

  34. 9 As Saul turned to leave Samuel, God changed Saul’s heart, and all these signs were fulfilled that day.

10 When he and his servant arrived at Gibeah, a procession of prophets met him; the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, and he joined in their prophesying.

When you turn your life around and give your life to Christ, he will use you in many mighty ways. He has given each and everyone of us a gift but, we have to let him work in us and believe in what he is going to do in us! He knows what he is doing we just have to let Him work!

  35. 25 Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the Lord. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.

26 And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.

27 But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought no presents. But he held his peace.

I want to make sure I don’t become like the children of Belial that didn’t believe what came from the man of God, We are blessed to have awesome men of God in our lives and we need to listen what they have to say and believe.

  36. “Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the Lord hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?”

You cant put a limit on devotion, God saturate me. We need the out pouring of the Holy Ghost now more than ever. We need to tie loose ends with loved ones and friends. It’s time the anointing pours over us more than ever and we minister to every person we come in contact with. It’s time.

  37. Where the heart goes

26 And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.

This is why we must first give our hearts to the Lord. If we will dedicate our hearts, meaning our own will, to God, we will find ourselves following wherever he leads us. The battle comes when we, our hearts, cannot give up on our own will. This leads us to everything but God. A renewing of dedication of heart often is the key to always following the will of God.

  38. 9As Saul turned and started to leave, God gave him a new heart, and all Samuel’s signs were fulfilled that day.

If you want to be a prophet, God will give you a new heart. Better be sure one is being led by God, and not just speaking words. A false prophet is easily recognized. I would think God selects prophets whom he has a very deep relationship and trust, and only few are chosen.

  39. “And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭10:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God can change how we feel. He hardened pharaoh’s heart and gave Samuel a new one. If you are struggling with something today, ask God for help. He will help
    You with your heart.

  40. for God is with thee 🌻
Same face new heart, Thank You Jesus for giving me another heart 💜

I feel like Saul had to loose something valuable to help him join with Samuel without some many questions from people (distractions) hindering him.

    (But he held his peace)

    1 Samuel 10:6 KJV
[6] And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

    1 Samuel 10:9 KJV
[9] And it was so , that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.

    1 Samuel 10:16 KJV
[16] And Saul said unto his uncle, He told us plainly that the asses were found. But of the matter of the kingdom, whereof Samuel spake, he told him not.
