Acts 25

Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.

Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him,

And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.

But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.

Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.

And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought.

And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.

But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?

10 Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.

11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.

12 Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Hast thou appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shalt thou go.

13 And after certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came unto Caesarea to salute Festus.

14 And when they had been there many days, Festus declared Paul’s cause unto the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix:

15 About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.

16 To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.

17 Therefore, when they were come hither, without any delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth.

18 Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed:

19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

20 And because I doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters.

21 But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar.

22 Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him.

23 And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus’ commandment Paul was brought forth.

24 And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.

25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.

26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.

27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.

  1. 25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.

At the end of the line here he thought his life was soon to be over. Gods on time isn’t he? When it seems theres no tomorrow he pulls up and takes car of bidness.. My Go dis awesome, he can move mountains he can hide you from the rain he can get you out of the valley, he can heal, he can deliver, he can use us for miracle signs and wonders. God wants relationship what more does he have to prove to you that he loves you. Its convicting to think back how we all start off strong and slowly stray away from a deep committed relationship with God. He’s not gonna stray away from you just remember that.

  2. 7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

8 While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.

9 But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?

It is Paul’s knowledge that have kept him alive and the wisdom with which he applies that knowledge. The Jews couldn’t poof anything because Paul hasn’t done anything wrong. Here again he play politic in his favor knowing that as a Roman, he should be judge by the Romans and as Festus calls it, Paul has only offended their superstitions about a Jesus. If He only knew that Jesus is God!!! Something tells me soon he will hear about our JESUS!!! A Jesus that died but now lives!!!! Hallelujah!!!

  3. 7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

When the enemy speaks lies only the truth will prevail. Paul was in a case where men wanted to kill him for doing the work of the Kingdom, but God had his protecting hand over Paul! In the ESV it said these men wanted Paul to go to Jerusalem in order for them to attack Paul while traveling and kill him.

In the end the plan of the enemy did not work, because the devil has tried the same things over and over and over and they still are not working! The plan of the enemy is always unreasonable. We as Christians know God’s Plan always stick out!
“For it seems to me unreasonable, in sending a prisoner, not to indicate the charges against him.””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭25:27

  4. And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought.

  5. Many times we too face hard, trying times. They are often hardships that we would never purposely choose to go through, but those trials can allow us to reach people that we normally would never have the opportunity to reach. We would never choose to face cancer, but many of us as followers of Christ that have faced it, will take the opportunity to witness to those sharing a hospital room with or with others getting the same chemo treatments. Being witness for Christ can take the unpleasant circumstances and use them for the glory of God. We can chose to do it now as we live a quarantined life. These hard times take us to places and people that we would never have the ability to see, otherwise.
It is these unusual circumstances we face that often have us in a place where God wants us to reach out to others. Paul’s trials took him to people that he normally would not have been able to speak to. Every trial can be an opportunity!

  6. When Paul arrived, the Jewish leaders from Jerusalem gathered around and made many serious accusations they couldn’t prove. Festus conferred with his advisers and then replied, “Very well! You have appealed to Caesar, and to Caesar you will go!” But the accusations made against him weren’t any of the crimes I expected. “But what shall I write the emperor? For there is no clear charge against him. So I have brought him before all of you, and especially you, King Agrippa, so that after we examine him, I might have something to write.
    Acts of the Apostles 25:7‭, ‬12‭-‬12‭, ‬18‭, ‬26 NLT
Endurance that’s exactly what Paul experience they try to find something that would be Worthy of death but they could find it like Paul we are going to experienced a lot we are in the end time and like Paul we are going to have fight I’m not talking about physical fighting I’m talking about spiritually fighting

  7. 21 But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar.

Paul spoke in front of festus with such passion that King Agrippa desired to hear from him. How much passion is behind their testimony? How do we talk about our King and Savior Jesus Christ? Do we have the same conviction as when we started our walk with God? These questions come to my mind when reading through this chapter about my personal passion with talking about Christ. I want to make sure that I speak with such conviction that it makes other people want to hear it as well.

  8. 11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them.

  9. We had a sermon lately about your mouth not shutting when it needs to. What if Paul had said some things he was probably thinking during all the times he was treated badly for sharing the gospel. And in the latter he was not guilty of anything. I look upon the times I had the right reasons in mind and talking to someone about God but had a negative thing or two to say after the end results were not what I had expectd. What if someone else was affected negatively by me not keeping words to myself.

  10. 25. But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.

This reminds me of another case where they found no fault in their prisoner but still wouldn’t set Him free…

    John 19:
    4. Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.

    6. When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.

  11. Verses 10-11 MSG “Paul answered, “I’m standing at this moment before Caesar’s bar of justice, where I have a perfect right to stand. And I’m going to keep standing here. I’ve done nothing wrong to the Jews, and you know it as well as I do. If I’ve committed a crime and deserve death, name the day. I can face it. But if there’s nothing to their accusations—and you know there isn’t—nobody can force me to go along with their nonsense. We’ve fooled around here long enough. I appeal to Caesar.” Paul had endured so many false accusations, lies, deceit and threats; but, he knew where he stood and he never wavered. We too should never waver in our commitments, our love or where we stand as we yield all things to Christ.

Hebrews 12:1 AMP “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of [a]witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us,”.

Romans 5:3-4 AMP “And not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance; and endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation].” So let us LIVE-GIVE JESUS with endurance!

  12. Sometimes we have to shake false accusations off so we don’t become shook or shaken, 2 Timothy 4:16 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.

    Acts 25:7 KJV
[7] And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

Then we have to trust God Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord God ! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

God already knew His plans for Saul to become Paul..
Paul hasn’t played the pity card or even brought up his past since this name changed.

Acts 9:15-16 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: [16] For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.

Acts 28:3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

Acts 28:5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

Paul you he’s right as a citizen of Rome, And he’s stand on his faith . There’s gonna be a time in the United States of America where you’re going to have to know your rights as a citizen and your believes.

  15. Acts 25:18-19 NIV When his accusers got up to speak, they did not charge him with any of the crimes I had expected.
19 Instead, they had some points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a dead man named Jesus who Paul claim was alive.

Paul knew the truth about Christ and was willing to die rather than to stop talking about Him. The only thing they had against Paul was his belief in Jesus.

  16. Acts 25
10-11 Paul answered, “I’m standing at this moment before Caesar’s bar of justice, where I have a perfect right to stand. And I’m going to keep standing here.

    Romans 12:2 ESV
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Paul was being tested once again for proclaiming who Jesus Christ was . He makes a grand proclamation Om standing and going to continue to stand. He knew he had nothing they could accuse him of . The script tells us

    Ephesians 6:13
For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.

  17. 9 But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?

10 Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.

11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.

12 Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Hast thou appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shalt thou go.

It is rather funny how Paul not guilty of any accusations against the jews kept being persistent on killing him. They kept pushing on until they found someone that was willing to agree with them even though they could not produce any evidence against Paul. Paul finally appealed to the highest authority of the land to be judged. No matter how many times he had to defend himself.

We as Christians are going to find in the last days of this world will be brought under scrutiny and false accusations because of our beliefs and our faith in the kingdom of God. Most of all we will be hated because we stand for the truth. Many will come against the church and try to destroy it, but the hand of God will keep it from being shaken. The foundation for which we stand, it will not be moved and it will not give into the pressure of the world. That’s why that we have to be all in for the gospel of Jesus. So that we can be the example to the lost that God called us to be.

  18. 25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.

We as Christians should always be thankful because if it hadn’t been for Jesus the doubt of sin that we would’ve had to pay would’ve been more than we could have ever imagine, because like the Bible says the wages of sin are death but god came and pay give the ultimate sacrifice for us because he loved us so much!

  19. 22 Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him.

This whole time Paul is going from king to king pleading his innosence . In doing so he is also spreading the truth of Jesus. To some people, this would seem like a never ending trial but by the will of the Lord its planting seeds. Paul endured this long process to not only prove that he did nothing wrong but also to spread truth to those who really needed to hear it.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
    Galatians 6:9 NIV
    https://galatians.bible/galatians-6-9

Just because it seems like a never ending cycle and there is no end to or your not getting results as fast or like you expected to. Keep on, Jesus sees everything and he counts every deed.

  20. Acts 25:10 [ amp] But Paul replied, I am standing before Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be tried. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you know better [ than your question implies].
Paul was declaring his own defense.
Someday we are going to stand at the judgment seat, and be judge according to own works .
I pray today that people will have passion toward his word. Jesus is only way to make it to heaven!

  21. “And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer. But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him. Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write. For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭25:24-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Festus was tying to explain to Agrippa why Paul was in prison, but he had no real cause. He is just a puppet for the Jews, giving into their whims and doing as they wish. He was stopped in his tracks because Paul asked to go to Caesar. Festus can’t find a reason to write to Caesar to tell him the cause of Paul imprisonment because Festus is being unjust. In this case Paul appeals to a higher court for help.

When accusations come, when things go crazy, when it looks like everyone is against you; appeal to a higher court. Jesus! Jesus is the one true God. He is the all knowing and just judge. He is our defender and our counselor. Call on Jesus!

  22. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
Act 25:27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.

How are you going to condemn someone to death without having any charges against that person? Paul was very wise to use his Roman rights and appeal to a higher court. Paul was in the middle of a political circus just like we are in this era of of virus 2.0. We also would be wise to use our rights as American Citizens to prevent those who would try to persecute us without cause.

  23. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
ALWAYS APPEAL TO THE HIGHEST COURT

11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.

We learn much from the apostle Paul and his responses to accusation, persecution and bondage.

    1. Paul was willing to face the judgment of all wrong doing. We must be willing to face the consequences of our choices. This encourages us to live right in the sight of GOD.

    2. ALWAYS APPEAL TO THE HIGHEST COURT. Often we accept the judgement of one voice or a crowd of voices over the voice of JESUS.

When we appeal to the highest court, we appeal to JESUS himself.

Psa. 135:2 Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,

2Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

The COURT of the LORD is HIS HOUSE! CHURCH.

The JUDGE is RIGHTEOUS and HOLY.

ALWAYS APPEAL TO THE HIGHEST COURT. The Lord JESUS at HIS House.

    Lets GO to CHURCH.

  24. 25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.

Paul is given the opportunity to witness to both the great and small of his world. It has taken endurance to keep doing the work of the kingdom. “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Mark 13:13 Paul is still running the race and the course that God set before him.

  25. Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar’s judgment seat
we will all stand before God and his judgment and he will judge accordingly and lawfully. will he say depart from me you unfaithful servant or will he say welcome home.

  26. asking as a concession against Paul, that he would have him brought to Jerusalem; ( meanwhile planning an ambush to kill him on the way).

God was not playing around when He told Paul all he would go through to bring His Gospel before men. Sometimes we get surprised when we meet some resistance or struggles in our walk and reaching out to people. But be encouraged! It just means we must keep pressing forward! Not give up just because it gets harder!!

  28. 25:14 And when they had been there many days
Festus declared Paul’s cause unto the king
Saying: there is a certain man in bonds by Felix.

    NOTHING HAPPENS BY COINCIDENCE!!!!
this king and his wife came to visit Festus…..
They stayed there for several days….
They got to hear and know what was going on with
This “ certain man”. Being accused.
Well, we know what happens after everything was told
After this “ certain man” talked personally to king Agripa….
👉 everyone is going to have a chance, ( not coincidence, but Devine, appointed time…) to hear the good news. The gospel. And choose to be moved and believe , and decide to be baptized in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
    —-
Sad thing: some will reject it.

  29. Acts 25:13-27

26,27 That’s why I brought him before this company, and especially you, King Agrippa: so we can come up with something in the nature of a charge that will hold water. For it seems to be silly to send a prisoner all that way for a trial and not be able to document what he did wrong.

V.11 For if I be an offender, or have committed anything worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.

God makes even the enemies of his people to do them right.

Psalm 50:6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

  30. 18 Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed:
19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

So much debate about whats right and wrong, what’s really the truth in our world today? One thing that will always stand is the Word of God. The Word is the truth that people seek. Unfortunately, not all will agree, but as we recently heard, the hornets will do what they need to. We just need to persist and move forward as God leads us into revival!

  31. 1. Now when Festus was come into the province, after thee days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem. 2. Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and. besought him, 3. And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him. 4. But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.

  32. 24 Then Festus said, “King Agrippa and all you gentlemen present with us, you see this man [Paul] about whom all the Jewish people appealed to me, both at Jerusalem and here, loudly insisting that he ought not to live any longer. 25 But I found that he had done nothing worthy of death; however, since he appealed to the Emperor [Nero], I decided to send him [to Rome]. 26 But I have nothing specific about him to write to my lord. So I have brought him before all of you, and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that after the investigation has taken place, I will have something to put in writing. 27 For it seems absurd and unreasonable to me to send a prisoner [to Rome] without indicating the charges against him.”

It is challenging when officials have to appease “people” over matters. We must be cautious as christians that we seek to please the Lord rather than our peers, family, neighbors or even employers.

God expects us to live our christian standards everywhere we are and stand up for truth. We cannot be swayed by others.

Romans 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Reminds me of an old song my grandparents used to sing:

I’ll stand for Jesus and let the world go by.
I’ll claim His promise, He will supply.
we’ll walk together, the Lord and I.
I’ll stand for Jesus, and let the world go by.

  33. Reblogged this on raynorthup and commented:
Bloom where you are planted. Know what your assignment is.
Paul knew where he was and what his assignment was. He was being protected by the Romans. He knew his ultimate assignment was to go to Rome. His life style was a witness to his innocence. He was a living Testimony. How are they over come by our testimony and the blood of the Lamb. Rev 12:11

  34. “But Paul appealed to have his case decided by the emperor. So I ordered that he be held in custody until I could arrange to send him to Caesar.” “I’d like to hear the man myself,” Agrippa said. And Festus replied, “You will—tomorrow!” So the next day Agrippa and Bernice arrived at the auditorium with great pomp, accompanied by military officers and prominent men of the city. Festus ordered that Paul be brought in.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭25:21-23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Sometimes our situations may seem unfair. Or sometimes undeserving. But if we could remind ourselves that God is in control and he has a plan. Perhaps if Paul never got arrested and wrongfully charged these people maybe have never heard the gospel.
    God will get the glory!

  35. 27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.

When prisoners were thus sent to Rome to be tried before the emperor, it would be proper that the charges should be all specified, and the evidence stated by which they were supported, Yet Festus could do neither, and it is not wonderful that he felt himself perplexed and embarrassed, and that he was glad to avail himself of the desire which Agrippa had expressed to hear Paul, that he might be able to specify the charges against him.

As unreasonable it might sound, God always has a purpose in our life. Even if it seems unfair. Keep praying and praising God in all situations.

  36. “For it seems absurd and unreasonable to me to send a prisoner [to Rome] without indicating the charges against him.””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭25:27‬ ‭AMP‬‬

These men wanted Paul killed for teaching the gospel of Jesus and they were willing to find anything to accuse him of to have him killed. In spite of it all we still see that Paul doesn’t loose his character. In this walk with God we are going to come across challenges where the enemy will want to take us out whether it be through people or through circumstances, but we must hold strong unto the promises of god and never loose our character. Keep enduring through!!!

  37. “Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him, And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭25:2-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Learn from this example. When you allow a grudge to set in your heart, you will lose time that you could have been working for the Kingdom. 2 years Paul waited to be tried for crimes he didn’t commit. He was removed from the situation but the Jews still remembered him, being just as offended as the day he was bound by the chief captain in Jerusalem. In Colossians 3:13 it says Forbearing one another and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” We shouldn’t be so offended that we allow our lives, our ministry to be put on pause. Christ forgave us and gave His life so we could live. Sometimes it won’t be easy, but When I am weak He is strong.

I thank God for living a life of humility towards others so we could model it today. I pray we allow Colossians 3:13 to get in our spirit, forgiving others as Christ forgave us.

  38. In this chapter, I learned that Paul was supposed to be going to Jerusalem but it was an ambush to kill him. The people were very tempted to kill Paul even though he did nothing wrong. It was kinda like yesterday’s chapter when Felix left Paul in prison because he wanted to grant a favor to the Jews.

  39. Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.
After three days he whent to Jerusalem

  40. I learned that When Foster was coming into the Profits, After Three days They Ascended From Caesarea to Jerusalem

  41. Acts 25:24-27
“ And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.

He’s an “On Time God” … YES HE IS!!!

    Psalms 37:25
    “I have been young, and now am old;
yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,
    nor his seed begging bread.“

God may not answer in our time, the way we think is best, but if we hold to His Unchanging hand, He will direct us toward the right path!

  42. I Love To Worship The Lord
    The Living Bible
Festus was telling the King that the chief priests and other Jewish leaders wanted Paul dead. Then the case came to trial.
    Vs-18
But the accusations made against him were not at all what I supposed they would be.
    Vs-19
It was something about their religion and abut some one called Jesus who died but Paul insists is alive.
We as people know who Jesus is have always and will always be persucuted for the Name Jesus. Example 9-11.I believe as time grows shorter we as Jesus Name people haven’t seen anything yet

  43. Therefore, when they were come hither, without any delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth.

18 Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed:

19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

  44. Paul was still being accused by the Jews. Festus told king Agrippa that he did not see that Paul was guilty of doing anything wrong. The Jewish people kept insisting that Paul should be found guilty.

Thank you Jesus for teaching us about forgiveness and that malicious gossip is wrong. People in today’s world slander others and give them unnecessary grief. As a Christian Lord I thank you for clarity and the love to try to not judge others or hurt anyone. As we know, with God nothing is impossible.

  45. 24 And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.
25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him

The enemy desires for us not to live, to be shut down and put away. The enemy stirs people to start a riot that they don’t even understand the why? against us. Oh! but we serve the Almighty who protects us. Who will not leave us defenseless. When you speak the truth many won’t accept it nor like it, but among them there could be one that will accept it and That’s victory! So let us stay firm on what we believe and God will work the way for us.

  46. Acts 25:13 & 22-23
    13) And after certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came unto Caesarea to salute Festus,

    22) Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him.
    23) And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus’ commandment Paul was brought forth.

    “Paul Was Brought Forth”
Paul had preached and testified before Jews, Gentiles, chief captains, soldiers, chief priests and their councils, governors, and now was getting ready to preach and testify before a king, king Agrippa.

This was God’s plan a purpose for Paul’s life as recorded in Acts 9:15, “… Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel.”

  47. 26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.

The law of God was not designed to be judged by man made law keepers and judges. Jesus died to fulfill the law but neither the Jews nor the Romans quite understand that yet. Yes the Jewish leaders are shouting to kill Kim while the Roman officials have no basis to charge him on. At this point they are grasping at straws and passing him along like hot potato to the next higher up. The furthest he can go is the Emperor Caesar Augustus himself.

All the while this is going on it’s actually drawing a crowd. Bernice the wife of the official wanted to hear what Paul had to say. Even if it was a terrible situation for Paul to be in. He testified to every court and that Word of Truth got transcribed. Even when we don’t feel like we are getting anywhere testifying at least God have us that opportunity. When we do so we live and give Jesus as Paul did.

  48. 11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.

12 Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Hast thou appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shalt thou go.

Who do you call on in the time of need? Who is your defender, your shield, your protection? Paul knew how the law back then worked and appealed to the highest authority back then, yet he well knew that whom really had all power and control is Jesus. Sometimes there will be occasions where you will have to work out things through the earthly established legal system but it is God that has all power and authority over your life. So before you have men, you should bow to God and plead the blood, plead his favor, plead his blessing that He may go with you.

  49. Though faced with surmounted issues and problems Paul endured what his ministry was. Knowing that as he was maintaining his gift and the work commissioned to him he would be held up and supported by God. No matter the obstacle or problems we may face, if we just endure through them and continue in our own walk and ministry then our endurance will pay off. God will always help those who endure as he had.

  50. “But Paul replied, “No! This is the official Roman court, so I ought to be tried right here. You know very well I am not guilty of harming the Jews. If I have done something worthy of death, I don’t refuse to die. But if I am innocent, no one has a right to turn me over to these men to kill me. I appeal to Caesar!””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭25:10-11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If we have done something bad we should get punished for the bad thing but if you have not done anything bad and try to get punished
You can stand strong and know that you should not get punished.

  51. v19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and ine Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

The miracles glorified God and created an opportunity for them. .(.Jesus apostles)…to testify of Him.

    • v19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and ine Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

      HE IS ALIVE!!!

  52. “I’d like to hear the man myself,” Agrippa said. And Festus replied, “You will—tomorrow!”
    Acts 25:22 NLT

God charged us to preach and teach this world about Him and His Word. Which is why we must continue to speak to everyone we encounter cause we never know who wants to listen to us.

  53. 27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.

Wrongly judged and cursed by others yet God ensures someone was on his side. Paul did nothing wrong yet he find a himself continually in the hot seat. He constantly handles maintained his integrity. We can learn from this that accusations is never an excuse to change who we are. It is an opportunity to show that God is on outside and allow Him to shine through us.

  54. Acts 25:5 Let them therefore, said he,which among you are able,go down with me,and accuse this man,if there be any wickedness in him.

  55. 19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

Jesus is not dead. He is alive. He lives inside of us.
    Live Jesus Give Jesus

  56. 25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.

Your accusers will try to take you down, but they will not be able to because God’s got your back. When you’re doing what’s right you will have enemies. Not because that found anything wrong, but because they will seek to try and find something wrong. Our mission isn’t to focus on the accusers, but rather focus on God’s word and the plan he has for you.

  57. 5 Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.

6 And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought.

7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

There are going to be people in our life that say things about us and spread things about us that are not correct, but we need to just trust in God for he is the author and finisher of our faith.

  58. 8 Then Paul took the stand and said simply, “I’ve done nothing wrong against the Jewish religion, or the Temple, or Caesar. Period.”

This world tries to say what is right and wrong but when it comes to the word of God it is always the truth. No matter where you go or who you talk to his word is the only thing that never changes. Some may not agree with what we say or believe but in the end it’s their word against Gods. Stay in his favor and we will always be on the right, truthful winning side.

  59. 7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

When you’re fulfilling the will of God in your life many will rise against you and try to bring you down. It’s important during such times to hold on to God through His word and prayer. It will give you the strength and encouragement you need to keep pressing forward.

  60. I learned that they sent him to a much of high people but no one could find a reason to send him to jail and that’s bc he Did nothing wrong

Happy 25th day of 40 day of the fire 🔥

  61. 24 And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.

27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid

This is like Jesus when he was crucified they all wanted him dead for no reason just like they wanted dead for no reason

  62. ““18: The accusers came at him from all sides, but their accusations turned out to be nothing more than arguments about their religion and a dead man named Jesus…” MSG

What an example to follow, even through every accusation Paul stayed honest and followed Jesus

  63. 23 And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus’ commandment Paul was brought forth.

Even though our enemies want to defeat us, and stop us from spreading the gospel of God, they can’t ever stop us for God is always by our side. We serve the most mighty person ever, he is always protecting us, God never leaves our side, and he gives us strength and courage. A whole bunch of people now days won’t believe us when we speak the truth of God and his word, but in that group there will be many people wanting to believe and listening to what we have to say, so we cannot let anyone or anything stop us from spreading his word and saving.

  64. 19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

And I affirm that this one Jesus, is alive.

  65. Acts 25

This Chapter means that, members of the Jewish Law tried to accuse Paul for Preaching in The Name Of Jesus. So we went to a higher court to tried him to Caesar.

  66. 18 When his accusers got up to speak, they did not charge him with any of the crimes I had expected. 19 Instead, they had some points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a dead man named Jesus who Paul claimed was alive. NIV

People would rather believe in what they can see than what they can’t, it’s our job as Christians to prove to them what we know and believe even though we can’t show them heaven or Jesus raising from the dead, we must be a light for them so they can see Jesus through us!

  67. There was no actual charge against Paul but the enemy was not letting go. Pastor told us tonight that we should appeal to the highest court. This is what Paul was going but the highest court he could reach in the natural was Cesar. We have to put our lives and our issues in life into the hands of the perfect judge Jesus Christ. There is no other judge like him. We don’t have to convince him of anything, he already knows. So I put my trust and assurance I the perfect judge.

  68. 7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

8 While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.

Reading these words prove once again exactly what Jesus said in Matthew Chapter 4 verses 11, and 12 “Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”
Paul was facing this very thing, His accusers the Jews were breaking the ninth commandment of the 10 commandments from God to Moses that You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Once again proving that God is so amazing in his knowledge and planning. For it had been centuries since those laws were passed and yet here they are again proving his wonderful planning. God knows all and whenever we may let doubt creep into our minds, all we have to do is to return to the word, and he will show us and teach us, and erase that moment of weakness, and doubt. He doesn’t boast, he lets us find it ourselves. Paul, stood strong in his faith, when many wanted him dead just for trying to help people realize the truth. Jesus is our Lord and savior, he is the messiah, and it is only through him, that we have a chance to see God. Thank you Jesus, for showing daily your power, your wisdom, your glory, you continue to amaze me everyday, even when I have already been amazed you continue to raise the bar. Thank you Jesus, and Hallelujah my King, my savior. Blessed be to you.

  69. 18 Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed:
19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

We are definitely living in uncertain times. Uncertainty is running ramped not only in our land but in our whole world. “. . . accusers stood up. . . “ sound familiar?? “. . . had certain questions against him of their own superstition, . . .” There are so many questions unanswered or even undetermined today. We don’t know or may never know the true reasons and truths, but there is one thing we can always be sure of that He is the one true God. He is mighty and above all!! He can take us through any test, trial, and any time of uncertainty if we just cling to Him. Declare His name Jesus!!!

  70. 26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.

27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.

It’s clear how accusations can be critical until proven innocent. Only God knows why Paul was set up and accused. It’s not for us to understand but for us to stand up for what’s right no matter the circumstance.

  71. 27For it makes no sense to send a prisoner to the emperor without specifying the charges against him!”

The enemy will bring up all kind of charges against you. In judgement day, you’ll may see all your charges, something no one wants to relive or hear again. Live a righteous life, ask for forgiveness and your charges will be dropped by God.

  72. “Festus answered that Paul was being held in custody in Caesarea [Maritima] and that he himself was about to leave shortly. “So,” he said, “let those who are in a position of authority among you go there with me, and if there is anything criminal about the man, let them bring charges against him.” Now after Festus had spent no more than eight or ten days among them, he went down to Caesarea, and on the next day he took his seat on the tribunal (the judicial bench), and ordered Paul to be brought [before him].”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭25:4-6‬ ‭AMP‬‬
We don’t know if Festus knew the intentions of the Jewish leaders or not. Either way, he refused to grant their request for a change of venue, and this was another way that God protected Paul.
