Ezra 7

Now after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,

The son of Shallum, the son of Zadok, the son of Ahitub,

The son of Amariah, the son of Azariah, the son of Meraioth,

The son of Zerahiah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Bukki,

The son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief priest:

This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him.

And there went up some of the children of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, unto Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.

And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king.

For upon the first day of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.

10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

11 Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the Lord, and of his statutes to Israel.

12 Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.

13 I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.

14 Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, and of his seven counsellors, to enquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thine hand;

15 And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellors have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,

16 And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem:

17 That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.

18 And whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God.

19 The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, those deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.

20 And whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of the king’s treasure house.

21 And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,

22 Unto an hundred talents of silver, and to an hundred measures of wheat, and to an hundred baths of wine, and to an hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.

23 Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

24 Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.

25 And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.

26 And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

27 Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem:

28 And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.

  1. Verse 10 AMP “For Ezra had set his heart (resolved) to study and interpret the Law of the Lord, and to practice it and teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.” Same verse in the ERV “Ezra had always given his time and attention to studying and obeying the law of the Lord. He also loved to teach its rules and commandments to others in Israel.” What have you set your heart on? What are you giving your time and attention to?? Hebrews 12:2-3 AMP says “[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, [a]disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]. Just consider and meditate on Him who endured from sinners such bitter hostility against Himself [consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

  2. 27 Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem:

28 And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.

    GREATER HAND OF THE LORD
The hand of The Lord was on Ezra the whole time because he obeyed GOD word and he knew that GOD has control.
GOD is with us He will not forsake us!
    Hallelujah!
    Thank You JESUS!

  3. 28 And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.

I can’t wait to go before y’all and be part of our services. People’s le just don’t understand how beautiful it is to stand with the congregation in agreement in front of His Presence!!!

  4. 6 This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him.

Great favor amoung men can happen when the hand of the Lord is upon us. When we seek first the kindom of God the impossible is possible.

  5. 6. This Ezra was a scribe who was well versed in the Law of Moses, which the LORD, the God of Israel, had given to the people of Israel. He came up to Jerusalem from Babylon, and the king gave him everything he asked for, because the gracious hand of the LORD his God was on him. NLT

Want the gracious hand of the Lord upon you like it was on Ezra? Want to receive whatever you ask from the king like Ezra?
Then do what Ezra did – be well versed in the Word of God and come out of spiritual Babylon, up to Jerusalem, and do the work of the Lord.

  6. Ezra 7: 10 ( amp) For Ezra had prepared and set his heart to seek the law of the Lord [ to inquire for it and of it,to require and yearn for it],and to do and teach to Israel its statutes and it’s ordinances.
Here Ezra was preparing his heart.
    Preparing
    1. Clean our hearts out
    2. To be teachable to teach bible studies
3 Lay everything else aside and seek the Lord first.
Ezra always was seeking and doing what Lord told him to do.
    Hallelujah Praise God.

  7. This Ezra was a scribe who was well versed in the Law of Moses, which the Lord, the God of Israel, had given to the people of Israel. He came up to Jerusalem from Babylon, and the king gave him everything he asked for, because the gracious hand of the Lord his God was on him.
    Ezra 7:6 NLT

Not only did God train Ezra in the law of Moses and called him to be a scribe, he gave him favor and equipped him to be ready for what needed to be done, because the hand of the Lord was on him. When we are obedient and responsive to his word, God will honor and be with us through every step of the way. Giving us favor with men wherever it is needed, training us to be equipped with the right tools. Whatever God has planned for us, he has everything in store that is needed for it

  8. 10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
Fix your eyes, heart and attention on the word of GOD. Ezra searched and study the Scriptures with his whole heart so that he could teach others how to live for GOD.

  9. Ezra 7:10 (NLT), “This was because Ezra had determined to STUDY and OBEY the Law of the LORD and to TEACH those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel.”

    GREATER STUDYING
    GREATER OBEYING
    GREATER TEACHING
2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

This is why it is so important to READ and STUDY the Word of God EVERYDAY, so that we will OBEY It, and we will be able to TEACH It rightly to others.

  10. “This was because Ezra had determined to study and obey the Law of the Lord and to teach those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel.”
    ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

My prayer for today – I pray we are determined to study and obey the Word. I pray we are determined to teach the Word to all. Now, GO.

  11. 18 And whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God.

But FIRST GOD!!! ALWAYS PUTTING GOD FIRST then do good . We can always do better, there is no limit to how GOD can use us to be and do better…ALWAYS GIVE HIM WHAT HE IS DUE, ALLLLL THE GLORY AND HONOR!!!

  12. Ezra had a natural desire for the kingdom of God. He wanted to know God and his word deeper and deeper.

So God blessed him for it.

“This was because Ezra had determined to study and obey the Law of the Lord and to teach those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel.”
    ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

He seemed God with all his heart and the Lord took care of him. Cause if the carnal world around Ezra to take care of if Ezra as well. Forcing the secular world to recognize Ezra faithfulness to the Lord.

  13. The Living Bible
    vs-10
Ezra had determined to study and obey the Laws of the laws of the Lord and to become a Bible teacher, teaching those laws to the people of Israel.
This vs can also be put to the Kingdom of God in 2022 (The Church). Yes our Pastor and other preaches in our Body Of Christ also study the bible and teach us the word.
We also as part of the church also study teach Bible studies and witness and invite people to church.

  14. And whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of the king’s treasure house. And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,

God will the king of this world, the city to pay for his end time harvest. I’m not talking about paying people to come to church and be baptized I’m talking about buildings will be built and paid for by people who don’t even believe but God will speak to them to do. It happened many times in the bible and it will happen again.

So even when it seems lost and hopeless keep believing keep trusting God for He will make a way

  15. 10 for Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord-and to do it and to teach in Israelstatutes and judgments.
    ——
    Hallelujah 🙌
I must come to a determination, my mind must be made up
That I will serve the Lord no matter what, for his will I want
Hallelujah 🙌 blessed be the name of the Lord.
    Lord, teach me your statutes
That I may fall in love with them and obey them.
    In Jesus name.
    All for your glory.

  16. 26 And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

Judgement. On that day of His return He will judge ever single one of us. Our actions and words will alwaysss matter, and we have to be making sure that we are doing things according to His will! I pray tonight that we are all making good choices and following His word to prepare for that day of judgement.

  17. For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.”
    ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:7-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We see here a threefold intention in Ezra. He came to seek, to do, and to teach God’s word.

  18. The Kingdom of God is GREATER
As I was reading this morning, I thought “Wow, these Jews really found favor with the Persian Kings”. Then as I thought about it I wondered how they found so much favor.

The easy answer is God gave them favor and everyone lived happily ever after. The truth of the matter things aren’t always that easy. One of the reasons the Jews found favor with the Jews is the Persians honored their history. We found an example of that earlier when the enemies of the Jews tried to get the king to stop them from rebuilding their temple. The king asked for the books and saw what the former king had already put the work into motion and allowed the work to continue.

I believe one of the reasons the Jews found so much favor with the Jews can be traced all the way back to Queen Esther. Esther married a Persian King by the name of Ahasuerus. (Also known as Xerxes).

    Conclusion:
In this chapter, we see the end result of favor from God. We see the King of Persia help financially, militarily, and politically rebuild the temple. BUT what we don’t see is how this all fell into place with the help of a submissive, humble, and obedient jewish girl who would become queen several years before.

    Food for Thought:
The Jewish people were almost eradicated from the face of the earth through Haman. They faced sever persecution and extinction. Queen Esther proclaimed a fast and the deceit of Haman was revealed. This turned the tables and would continue to show the Jewish people favor until they would be released from captivity and would be allowed to rebuild their temple.

  19. GREATER
GODS FAVOR + PRAISE GOD = GREATER

27 Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem:
28 And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.

Ezra was BLESSED by GOD with great FAVOR. Ezra recognized the FAVOR of GOD and responded with PRAISE to GOD for the blessings that he received and the favor that was shown him from the earthly king.

What I see as a forging relationship is that as Ezra recognized the FAVOR of GOD, he also received the STRENGTH of GOD as the hand of the LORD was upon him.

To experience the GREATER FAVOR of GOD that HE has planned for us, we need to recognize the FAVOR that JESUS has already BLESSED us with, Whether through deliverance, protection or provision. Let us not forget the goodness of our GOD.

The LORD has proven himself over and over to us. That HE is in our midst and working through our service to HIM and HIS Kingdom. I say this day: March on Mighty warrior of the LORD, carry on gracious servant of GOD. The FAVOR of GOD is on us as we obey HIS WORD.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iLive
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo
    iBlessYouInTheNameOfTheLordJESUS

  20. Prov 31: 4-5 MSG “Leaders can’t afford to make fools of themselves, gulping wine and swilling beer, Lest, hung over, they don’t know right from wrong, and the people who depend on them are hurt.

Every day we make decisions. Some are small, some are large, some are life changing and others so insignificant they don’t matter at all. Others are more important, affecting people’s lives, livelihoods, and well-being. Inevitably, we make mistakes along the way. The reality is that enormously important decisions made by intelligent, responsible people with the best information and intentions are sometimes the wrong choice. We must remember to include God in our decisions making process.

Consider Solomon; when he was in constant contact with God and had a good relationship with Him, he was a great king and leader. When he moved away from God’s influence is when his leadership decreased in effectiveness. There are a few things that can make a man loose his connection with God. First, is our attention has moved to something other than God or Godly things. This, will impact our devotion to Jesus and our desire to remain holy will fade.

Solomon’s decision-making was driven by his emotions and he acted accordingly. His heart was turned away from God. When we make the commitment to desire God’s will over our own will and desires, we will be able to make the best decisions for our life and the lives of others around us.

  21. Ezra 7:6,9-10,28
[6]This Ezra was a scribe who was well versed in the Law of Moses, which the Lord, the God of Israel, had given to the people of Israel. He came up to Jerusalem from Babylon, and the king gave him everything he asked for, because the gracious hand of the Lord his God was on him.
[9]He had arranged to leave Babylon on April 8, the first day of the new year, and he arrived at Jerusalem on August 4, for the gracious hand of his God was on him.
[10]This was because Ezra had determined to study and obey the Law of the Lord and to teach those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel.
[28]And praise him for demonstrating such unfailing love to me by honoring me before the king, his council, and all his mighty nobles! I felt encouraged because the gracious hand of the Lord my God was on me. And I gathered some of the leaders of Israel to return with me to Jerusalem.

We are in the hands of God. Being in the hands of God gives peace, comfort, healing, protection, encouragement and strength. God loves us.
We should obey and listen to the word of the Lord

  22. “For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments. And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.”
    ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:10, 25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Hallelujah!
Hen our hearts are prepared to study, to seek, to teach, to preach, to minister, to give, to love. What can stop a man/woman? The favor that The Lord gave to Ezra was beyond measure.
Ezra could not keep this to himself he was a wise man that shared all he knew with the people.
When our hearts are prepared before the Lord, GREATER things will continue to happen as it did yesterday 🙌

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  23. 28 “And praise him for demonstrating such unfailing love to me by honoring me before the king, his council, and all his mighty nobles! I felt encouraged because the gracious hand of the Lord my God was on me. And I gathered some of the leaders of Israel to return with me to Jerusalem.”

One of the great wonders of God that amazes me, is the ability to be who you need Him to be, and and at the EXACT SAME TIME be someone else for another. It’s the pure genuine relationship with Jesus Christ to feel the unfailing love mentioned in this scripture.

I pray we take the time to evaluate if we are having a relationship with Jesus or a responsibility to Jesus. Confusing the responsibilities of “being a good christian” with the opportunity to be in relationship with Christ regardless of our position, title, or volunteer level. Through a genuine relationship the responsibilities seem all the more enjoyable…

  24. 10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
25 And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.

It was evident that Ezra was a man of God because what he determined to do was plain to see in his knowledge, speech and wisdom. Same for us today. We will be known by our speech and actions whether we are truly a Christian or not.

  25. 21 And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,

    Proverbs 21:1
The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

The Lord had given Ezra favor with the king, and the king working with Ezra to see that the House of the Lord was restored and furnished with the necessities.

I prophetically declare that God is going to allow people to come across our pathways that are financially influential, and we will be the light of Jesus to them, and lead them to truth. God will use these people to build up the finances of POFW and there will be plenty in the storehouse to not only meet the needs of the house, but to have extra to do more things reaching into our community.

  26. 23 Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
I love being among a church that obeys the commandments of God. Following His laws and doing it diligently. A place where everyone is kind to each other. If there is any wrath going on, it is not openly seen and is dealt with quietly. Isn’t that what our Lord Jesus would want us to do. Love one another and forgive. His favor is on those that obey Him and love one another. Many comments have been on the favor that the Jews had in the building of the temple. I believe that POFW have favor also because we are a bible based church who put our God first. He looks upon us as His Church and He blesses . We will see our church grow in the size of our building and the size of the congregation. For God loves a devoted people who love Him and do the work He has commanded to be done. Go out, and bring in the people!

  27. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER! Helping others, compassion for others, a heart for people is the heartbeat of God. In our reading today Artaxerxes the king was after God’s heart. He wanted his people to obey and live for God.

  28. 10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

    1. Study to know the Word of God.
    2. Obey the Word.
    3. Teach others the Law of God.

  29. 28 And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.

We don’t always “see” or “feel” His hand, but we should never doubt it’s there, He’s here to help, comfort, and guide us. He will never leave us!

  30. 10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

We must seek the Lord at all times. In him we will find strength and joy. The enemy loves when we don’t seek the Lord. He takes joy in us trying to figure things out on our own and keep messing up. God, who is rich in mercy will always be there when we need him. He is that lighthouse that will direct us on our path.

  31. 23 Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

24 Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.

It was never a problem paying what was owed to God. Tithes and offering were before the law during the law and after the law.

  32. 13 I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.

I learned that he will make a rule that everyone will have free will and go up to Jerusalem.

  33. 10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

As messengers of the will of God, the scribes took the place of the prophet, with this difference: instead of receiving new revelations, they explained and applied the old. Of this new order, Ezra was at once the founder and type …. He was an expert in exposition and application of the law. The qualifications for such work are very clearly set out in the statement made concerning him in the tenth verse of this chapter. He “ set his heart …to do…to teach.

    A.L.M.A.S.

  34. 19 The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, those deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.

    Amen

  35. “For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the Lord, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel.”
    ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We must study to show ourselves approved. We can’t call ourself devotes if we don’t take time studying his word and praying to him. This is why it is important that we have time set apart each day to seek his face. Regardless of life circumstances we should never become too busy to where we aren’t diving into his word or praying to him. We can’t go letting our tank run on E. We have to keep our tank full. We keep it full by staying is his word and praying. This is how we are going to be able to fight against the trials that come our way. You can’t fight if you don’t have no energy. Today I pray we broke committed to seeking his face daily in our prayer and the reading of our word regardless of our daily life’s circumstances.

  36. Ezra 7

Ezra followed God’s command and he studied, practiced, and teached God’s law. God’s hand was upon Ezra as he had devoted himself to the study and observance of the law of the Lord. We need to act by example and do Gods law.
    Thank you for this day.

  37. He had arranged to leave Babylon on April 8, the first day of the new year, and he arrived at Jerusalem on August 4, for the gracious hand of his God was on him. This was because Ezra had determined to study and obey the Law of the Lord and to teach those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel.
    Ezra 7:9‭-‬10 NLT

There is a blessing to those that resolve to study learn and obey as well as teach the word of God. One can get education from this world system and schools and trades. Yet the real blessings is to obtain the favor of God and his Hand upon you. When God is for you, you will succeed, you will have victory, you will have all that you need in life. Imagine what a blessing to study the Word of God and obey it.

  38. Ezra 7

““From Artaxerxes, the king of kings, to Ezra the priest, the teacher of the law of the God of heaven. Greetings. “I decree that any of the people of Israel in my kingdom, including the priests and Levites, may volunteer to return to Jerusalem with you. I and my council of seven hereby instruct you to conduct an inquiry into the situation in Judah and Jerusalem, based on your God’s law, which is in your hand. We also commission you to take with you silver and gold, which we are freely presenting as an offering to the God of Israel who lives in Jerusalem.”
    ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:12-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Let’s GO!!! God is on our side. We’re coming out of this GREATER!

  39. 23 Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

“. . . Whatsoever is commanded by the God. . .” Whatsoever. . . Whatsoever! Whatever is commanded, just do as we are asked.

24 Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.

I love to say this all the time, “. . . that touching any of the priests and . . .” Touching includes with your tongue and your mouth! “Touch not mine anointed”. Be careful of your words and who they are directed at.

  40. “And whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God.”
    ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬
I learned that the king gave the rest of the silver and gold to God’s people, even though most king’s wouldn’t because God’s people worshipped him instead of the king.
“And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.”
    ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬
I also learned that since the king walked with god he made a laws to obey God instead of himself, and a lot of leaders need to follow this so they can glorify God and not himself, and so they can humble there self and have a better relationship with God because God doesn’t want anyone to be prideful, especially our leaders and the people we look up to or impact our lives.

  41. “I, Artaxerxes the king, have formally authorized and ordered all the treasurers of the land across the Euphrates to give Ezra the priest, scholar of the Teaching of the God-of-Heaven, the full amount of whatever he asks for up to 100 talents of silver, 650 bushels of wheat, and 607 gallons each of wine and olive oil. There is no limit on the salt. Everything the God-of-Heaven requires for The Temple of God must be given without hesitation. Why would the king and his sons risk stirring up his wrath?”
    ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:21-23‬ ‭MSG‬‬

There is no limit to what we should give God, we should always give Him our all and be ready to MOVE when he tells us to.

  42. “And praise him for demonstrating such unfailing love to me by honoring me before the king, his council, and all his mighty nobles! I felt encouraged because the gracious hand of the Lord my God was on me. And I gathered some of the leaders of Israel to return with me to Jerusalem.”
    ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:28‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Even in our hardest and lowest moments in life when we feel so alone and hurt and you feel like no one is there, God is always right next to you even if you don’t think it. He is always there for us giving us strength to overcome any battle, and even if we don’t realize it what he lets you go through is for a purpose he has for you later. I pray tonight that you trust God and what he is doing for you, and that no matter what you face you continue to praise him and continue to spread the his wonderful word, for you can help change someone’s life for the better.

  43. Greater
    Generosity
    v6
God’s favor. We are a blessed people. We are a purchased possession of God that He paid for with aHis own shed blood,?a special people whom He has set apart for His purposes.
Jesus told us that whatsoever we desire, to believe it when we pray and it would be ours.
What a power and privilege this is !
The devil may hinder the people of God, but he will never stop them.
Ultimate victory belongs to the people who trust and believe in God!

  44. “We also commission you to take with you silver and gold, which we are freely presenting as an offering to the God of Israel who lives in Jerusalem. “Furthermore, you are to take any silver and gold that you may obtain from the province of Babylon, as well as the voluntary offerings of the people and the priests that are presented for the Temple of their God in Jerusalem.”
    ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭7:15-16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I’ve always been a firm believer that if you want something you have to reach out and grab it, make an effort towards what you want, show some initiative.

However, that doesn’t mean I don’t think God will line up whatever your need is and bless you with it without you ever lifting a finger! When you’re walking in his will and with his favor won’t we t have to look very far for your needs to be met, but instead God will line you up for you to be taken care of!!

  45. “And praise him for demonstrating such unfailing love to me by honoring me before the king, his council, and all his mighty nobles! I felt encouraged because the gracious hand of the Lord my God was on me. And I gathered some of the leaders of Israel to return with me to Jerusalem.”
    Ezra 7:28 NLT

When God’s people choose to seek Him first above all things. His favor is upon us. Ezra being faithful to the Lord gained favor and lead great people to return to Jerusalem. Ezra is demonstrating to the church how we must act and seek Him first. Leading others to the Lord.

  46. 23 Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

Whatsoever is commanded by God let us so diligently do it. If we all had this attitude and mindset to diligently do the work of God, who knows what kind of “greater” we would see!

  47. After the wall have been rebuilt the gatekeepers and the Levites Pointed. The gates of Jerusalem were not supposed to be open until into the sun was hot. He assembled the nobles officials by family. I found some people that were taken captive by Nebu Kinizer.
