Luke 1

Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course,

According to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.

11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.

16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

21 And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.

22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.

23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.

24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,

25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.

28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;

40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.

41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.

54 He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;

55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.

56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.

57 Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.

58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.

60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.

61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.

62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.

63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.

64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.

65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.

66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.

67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,

75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

  1. 16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

His preaching would turn the heart of careless parents into a real spiritual concern for their children. Also, he would bring back the hearts of disobedient, rebellious children to the “ wisdom of the just.”
In other words, he would strive to gather out of the world a company of believers who would be ready to meet the Lord when He appeared. This is a worthy ministry for each of us. See you at outreach.

  2. 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

John the Baptist was not yet born, but he had a spiritual awareness that allowed him to respond to the Holy Spirit. Becoming aware of the Holy Spirit and His influence upon our decisions can be one of the greatest assets a Christian can have. Following the guidance of the Holy Spirit will keep us on the path of righteousness.

  3. 49. For he that is mighty hath done to me GREAT things; and holy is his name.

I believe we could all declare this verse…and now I look forward to GREATER things!
    Holy is His name JESUS!

  4. Luke 1: 34-35 ( amp) And Mary said to the angel,How can this be,since I have no [ intimacy with any man as a] husband ?
    (35) Then the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will over – shadow you ( as a shining cloud) ; and so holy
(pure ,sinless ) Thing which shall be born of you, will be called the Son of God.
Mary was chosen to have a Baby, and she was wondering how this could be without a husband.
A cloud ( God’s visible presence ) covered the tent meeting, and the Glory of Lord filled the tabernacle.
His name is Jesus, The first and the last, and everlasting King of Kings and Lord of Lord’s.
There no other God ,like our God.

  5. 80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

John grew up and became strong in spirit. And he lived in the wilderness until he began his public ministry to Israel.
    Luke 1:80 NLT

Timing is everything. We know that Jesus did not start his ministry until 30 years old and we learn here that John the Baptist bid his time in the wilderness and became strong in the spirit before his ministry began. Just because God has called you to do something, doesn’t mean you are called to do it right now there is usually a time of preparation. Despite when the dream was birthed it needs time to develop. When God gives you a dream, your job is to nourish it and to grow in it until it is time to come to fruition

  6. “But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:30‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When you have favor with god you have no reason to fear. God is within you he can not fail. It doesn’t matter what impossible life circumstances may be thrown your way god is all knowing and has favor upon you. As Christian’s we must continue to remain steadfast and stay in our word, stay prayed up and fasted up. Don’t fall short because of the trials that come your way. Remain in his will.

  7. 18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

God is going to bring to pass what he has said will happen. To many we don’t receive the word because our human minds can’t figure it out so we question God’s word saying I don’t know God I mean I know you are the creator but this this is to big and God has to shut us up.
The angel said you will be able to speak until this comes to pass.
I don’t want to shut my mouth because of my unbelief, my words discord I want him to be able to speak to me and know that Lord I’m on your side.

Let us remember the words of the Lord and rejoice and believe them and see what He is going to do in this last hour.

  8. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER!

Thanks be to God for all his glory and splendor is raised to us and his name is Jesus!

  9. “How kind the Lord is!” she exclaimed. “He has taken away my disgrace of having no children.”
    Luke 1:25 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/luk.1.25.NLT

We don’t always understand the lot were given in life, but God knows our future and has a plan! Elisabeth felt like she was a disgrace for now beating children, but God used that for His Glory!!

  10. “While Zechariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar. Zechariah was shaken and overwhelmed with fear when he saw him. But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John. You will have great joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he will be great in the eyes of the Lord. He must never touch wine or other alcoholic drinks. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even before his birth. And he will turn many Israelites to the Lord their God. He will be a man with the spirit and power of Elijah. He will prepare the people for the coming of the Lord. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and he will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of the godly.””
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:11-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When we are in that place, we sometimes begin – in the smallest of ways – to doubt the love and care of God for us. But God always loves, and His care never stops.

  11. The Kingdom of God is GREATER
Through situations that seemed impossible, God set out his plan for GREATER through the birth of John the Baptist. The angel informed Zachariah that God had heard his prayer…what prayer was that, it was a prayer of many years prior and prayers that were forgotten by him, but not by God.

  12. 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Is doesn’t matter what the situation is, there is nothing GOD cannot do!
Matthew‬ ‭19:26‬ ‭NKJV “But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

    ‭‭

  13. 36 and behold thy cousin Elizabeth sha hath also conceived
A son in her old age. : and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.

Wow!!! Apparently her circumstance caused her a reputation, she was given a title of
    “ barren”.
Watch it! I bet those who called her barren were surprised to see what happened to her.
Is there anything too hard for the Lord? No.
Rejoice in the Lord and he shall give you the desires of your heart.

  14. 39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;

OOO JUDA!!!! GO BIG OR GO HOME!!!
HALELUJAH!!! JESUS!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

  15. 76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

    John
The man was setting the stage for the One who was truly coming to give us life more abundantly. His momma being barren for all this time then having him was just a way to raise the faith of the unbelievers. We full of the Holy ghost raise the faith of the unbelievers and set the stage for the King who will return in due time. There is global harvest at hand and its all hands on deck. Who is gonna be a john today standing by the river ready to baptize those in the name of Jesus Christ. Who is gonna be a john today crying unto the people repent repent. Pick me Lord ill go!

  16. GREATER
    THE POWER OF THE TONGUE

20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
21 And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.
22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.

Zacharias revealed the unbelief in his heart by the confession of his tongue. In verse 18 he said, “how shall I know this”?

JESUS not willing to risk the disobedience of Zacharias, the LORD silenced him. John had to be born to fulfill the already established will of GOD and Zacharias could have altered the order of the LORD by calling John Zacharias as the people wanted.

Apparently JESUS knows THE POWER OF THE TONGUE is GREATER than even we imagine. It is possible to hinder the will and plan of GOD by changing HIS words to become our words.

GOD muted Zacharias so that he could not change history, prophecy and salvation with THE POWER OF THE TONGUE.

We have this leson and illustration to learn from, JESUS gave us the Holy Ghost to influence THE POWER OF THE TONGUE.

    The apostle James declared:

James 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

I believe this is why the apostle Paul said; “I thank my God that I speak with tongues more than you all”. When we are speakin in tongues we cannot speak what we desire but what GOD desires.

Let us all observe THE POWER OF THE TONGUE and not speak negative, selfish or opposed to what JESUS is doing in our life and in our church.

  17. 8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course,

9 According to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.

13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

While he was working, fulfilling his duties before the Lord, the Lord answered his prayer. Too many people sit idly by just waiting on God to answer their prayers. Perhaps God is waiting on them to be about His business before He responds. God is not a microwave God that we can just ask and poof He provides. He is a God of reciprocity. As we give in service to Him, He gives back to us and will cause men to give to us, pressed down, shaken together and running over.

  18. 76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

God showed his great love and favor on Mary, Elisabeth and his people Israel in this event, the miraculous birth of John and Jesus. He is preparing the way of salvation for those who will hear it and believe. He is still the great I am in our midst today, showing favor and mercy on us who believe. We will see the miraculous as he moves and answers our prayers today.

  19. 7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.
13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

When God calls you and has made it known that you are chosen there is nothing that can stop Gods will, and with that we should have the faith that his will is going to be done. But we must remain patient because his promises will come to be but only in this timing and if we were to try and take things into out hands things will definitely will not come out to something God. Years might go by but that is when we need to trust God even more.

  20. 3 “Having carefully investigated everything from the beginning…”

How many times do we jump to a rash decision? Without all the information? If we are honest, we all have, probably more than once.

I pray we learn to take the time seek God’s wisdom, and have a full understanding for each situation.

  21. 73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
    76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Thank you Jesus for Sacrificeing yourself on the cross that we might have forgiveness of sin that we might have live through you.

  22. And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. (‭Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬ KJV)

At thy word Oh Lord. Increase our faith that the limitations of our unbelief would be broken. I declare we will see GREATER things!

  23. 13But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John.

When things aren’t going your way, you be upset, have fear and discouraged. But with prayer, you’ll instantly feel rejuvenated with comfort. It could be that angel saying, “everything will be alright”. God hears your prayers, he knows your needs, and will supply you and comfort you.

  24. St. Luke 1: 18-20, 34-35 & 37-38 (AMP)
    18) And Zacharias said to the angel, How will I be certain of this? For I am an old man and my wife is advanced in age.
    19) The angel replied and said to him, I am Gabriel; I stand and minister in the (very) presence of God, and I have been sent (by Him) to speak to you and to bring you this good news.
    20) Listen carefully, you will be continually silent and unable to speak until the day when these things take place, because you Did Not Believe what I told you; but my words will be fulfilled at their proper time.

    34) Mary said to the angel, How will this be, since I am a virgin and have no intimacy with any man?
    35) Then the angel replied to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you (like a cloud); for that reason the holy (pure, sinless) Child shall be called the Son of God.

    37) For with God nothing (is or ever) shall be impossible.
    38) Then Mary said, Behold, I am the servant of the LORD; may it be done to me according to your word. And the angel left her.

Why is it, at times, when God speaks to us and gives us a promise, we Doubt and Do Not Believe what He tells us, so we have to Wait for the Proper Time for it to be fulfilled?
And at other times, when God speaks to us and gives us a promise, it seems so easy to Believe it – May It Be Done According to His Word – and it happens right away?
It all comes down to FAITH. FAITH to Believe that “With God NOTHING (is or ever) Shall Be Impossible. For With God ALL Things Are Possible. JESUS said in St. Mark 9:23, “… If thou canst Believe, All Things Are Possible to him that Believeth.”
    GREATER Faith!

Thank You JESUS for GREATER Faith to Believe that You Can Do ANYTHING!

  25. The Living Bible
    vs: 76-79
And you my little son, shall be called the prophet of the glorious God, for you will prepare the way for the Messiah. You will tell his people how to find salvation through forgiveness of their sins. All this will be because of the mercy of our God is very tender, and heaven’s dawn is about to break open on us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and death’s shadow, and to guide us to the path of peace.
You will tell people how to find salvation through forgiveness of our sins
This is what is preached in POFW. When we have first time guest they want leave after the service is over knowing what steps to take to be saved.
To give light who sit in darkness (And to guide them to the path of peace)
This is what out reach every Saturday is, also being a witness every where you go. Any time I am witness to people if the ones who are being witness and talking to sometimes your able to explain ACTS: 2-38 guiding them to the path of peace.

  26. “That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies Might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. To give knowledge of salvation unto his people By the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God; Whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:71-75, 77-79‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What a beautiful covenant with His people. Salvation has come to all people. No one is excluded… unless otherwise. But as for me and my family, we will serve The Lord as long ng as he desires. So why reject a promising word? It’s for you and your family. He has come to give you life, and to have more abundantly!

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  27. 46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

When all glory is to His name, God can do greater things in us. Mary humbly served the Lord and from the moment of her encounter with the angel, she continued in humility and glorified God for what He was doing. God can and will do great things to you for His name too!

  28. 49. For he that is mighty hath done to me GREAT things; and holy is his name.
    * His way is Greater;

*We see a diffence in the reaction from Zacharias and Mary.

18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

    *Zacharias showed disbelief.

19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

    *Zacharias had doubt.

20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

*It took proof before Zacharias believed. But in the end he did and he named him John as he was told. And greater things came as an result of the birth of John.

34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
*Mary is asking how but without doubt.

35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
    * Mary had a willingness and desire to be used by God in any way that He chose. Even if she didn’t understand how, for she being human it seemed impossiable but she knew-
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
    * Mary gave her all to the Lord by trust and faith. And in doing so, Jesus. Her savior and ours became human as a baby.

As believers we should all be like Mary, willing to do as He tells us, a desire to fulfill the vision. Trusting and obeying with faith. Lord, give me a heart of willingness to step out in faith.

  29. Luke 1:37,47,49-50,78-79
[37]For the word of God will never fail.”
[47]How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!
[49]For the Mighty One is holy,  and he has done great things for me.
[50]He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him.
[78]Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us,
[79]to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
and to guide us to the path of peace.”

The word of God will never fail. Its our firm foundation to lean on. God is so good all the time. He is so merciful even when we stumble. Keep your faith in him and his word. He loves us and wants what is best for us.

  30. “We have been rescued from our enemies so we can serve God without fear, in holiness and righteousness for as long as we live.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:74-75‬ ‭NLT‬‬

To serve God without fear – in holiness and righteousness – as long as we live. I pray this is our declaration – we will serve Jesus without fear. I’m every avenue of our lives, whether on our jobs, with our families, at the store, it doesn’t matter. We will serve God without fear!

Thank You Jesus for revival and outpouring of Your Spirit!

  31. 11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

Do I have an altar of incense , if so, how is it? It should be GREATER than it was yesterday!!! Why, because today is a new day!!! HIS mercies are new everyday!!! HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

  32. Greater
    Great Rejoicing
    vvs. 45-47

The words of Jesus are surety for present times and for future crises. Jesus did not leave us unprepared to cop with life’s situations, but He has given us His word. For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Now believe, fear not, rejoice, and magnify the Lord!

  33. 18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

What if God shut our mouths every time we questioned His plan? To be GREATER we need to do whatever God has instore for us, without questions.

  34. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

A couple that made a life of living for God. They had a prayer and years passed and no answer. Now they are older and the answer has come. Goes to show that we cannot get tired of sending our Prayers to God. Will it be frustrating and challenging at times… YES! Yet, we cannot allow the frustration and challenge to stop us. Be consistent in prayer and consistent in integrity and watch HIm work!

  35. 13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.

16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God

The announcement that John would be born was brought to Zacharias. This man John would be the forunner of Christ. The angel announced to Mary that she would give birth to the Christ. What great news came and would usher in the ministry of Christ.

  36. This chapter reiterates some background history in order to bring understanding.
From an elderly couple giving birth to a promise by pushing through their doubt and unbelief. To a baffled young virgin finding favor before God Almighty. To a man chosen to be the one to prepare the way for the Lord. Verses 72-75 VOICE says “God will show mercy promised to our ancestors, upholding the abiding covenant He made with them, Remembering the original vow He swore to Abraham, from whom we are all descended. God will rescue us from the grasp of our enemies so that we may serve Him without fear all our days In holiness and justice, in the presence of the Lord.” You are GREATER.

  37. Luke 1

20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season

When Gabriel spoke to Zacharius, Zacharius questioned him, and Gabriel was speaking for God. We may not always understand when God speaks to us, but with our faith we should not doubt God. Look at the miracle that God provided Zacharius!
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  38. 20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

I believe he was stripped of his privilege of speech because of how powerful and important the tongue is. If you really wanna know what it is to LISTEN to God we can stop speaking all together. So during the pregnancy Zackarius (9 months) we know that he was tuned in to Gods voice because that’s the voice that mattered.

  39. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible
This one really stood out to me as I was reading and I think that from time to time we all need to be reminded again of this truth. Sometimes we can’t see it, or we feel like it’ll never happen or it isn’t true anymore but it is. It always is, no matter what our circumstances

  40. And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

My soul doth magnify the Lord. What are you grateful for? He has taken the low state of all of us and done something great out of us. He made us be sons and daughters of the most High God. The only God. And has blessed and given us life more abundant in Jesus.

  41. 13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John

God hears the prayers of his people. If we ask, God can perform it. We can do all things through him. Never doubt what God is able to do because his power is limitless.

  42. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

We must be submitting ourselves to Him daily for He deserves it. We have to be committing everything we have unto Him. There’s a song that goes…”This world is not my home, I am just passing through. Earthly treasures soon will fade, but I found my hope in you” and so on. We are just here limited time before He comes back to collect us all. I pray tonight that we are all ready and submitting ourselves to Him!!!

  43. 44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

We have to know what brings us joy. When Jesus is the center of our joy, our world can burn down around us, and we can still enjoy peace!

  44. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

    It’s a given!
    Nothing is impossible for God!

47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

  45. 7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

Does not matter what we may see with our carnal eyes ……the situation does not matter….. everything that happens must be given permission to happen and only through GOD …….I love you DADDY!!!

  46. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

We worry for nothing sometimes in our lives over the impossible. But if we trust in him and look unto the hills nothing is impossible in our lives. God teach us to trust in you in every situation.
