Psalm 130

1 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.

Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

    PSALM 130: 2~
2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

  2. I AM REDEEMED!!!!

8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

As I look at my past I find myself so unworthy of His Love and Mercy and to think that in my worst He Loved me. He shed His Innocent, Pure, Precious Blood so my filthy rags can be washed white as snow. THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR REDEEMING BLOOD. I KNOW IT WAS HIS BLOOD THAT SAVED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is time to stand up and be recognized by the mark of your REDEEMER!!! Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!!

  3. 7 Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

There is hope only in The Lord; where else would we find mercy? Who else could redeem us?

    Jeremiah 17:7 (KJV)
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord , and whose hope the Lord is.

    Exodus 15:13 (KJV)
Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

    Luke 1:68 (KJV)
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

  4. 3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

Only one has been perfect, Jesus. Its only through His blood, His stripes, His life that was given that we have the oppertunity to be forgiven.

We were created to worship Him., but in order to be the pruest worship we can we have to do two things: be reverent (fear God), standing in awe of how truly great He is, and be forgiven. If we don’t have a pure and holy fear of God, then our worship is less than it could be. If we aren’t forgiven then our worship is less too, because sin seperates us from God.

  5. HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!
3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
HOW WOULD LIFE BE IF FORGIVENESS DID NOT EXIST??? OOOOO MY JESUS!!! HOW WOULD IT BE IF WE DIDNT HAVE THE PRIVILEGE AND BLESSING TO BE FILLED WITH HIS HOLY SPIRIT??? I WOULD STILL BE WALKING AS ” THE LIVING DEAD” THANK YOU DADDY FOR THE BLOOD THAT WASHES WHITE AS SNOW!!! OOOOO THANK YOU JESUS THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU!!! HALELUJAH!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

  6. 6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

That is the yearning of my heart, the cry of my soul. I’m always waiting upon my Lord,I thirst for righteousness. Nothing else can satisfy, nothing else ever will. My soul waits for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning.

  7. We should be ever watching for God and his mercies. We should long for them more than a child longs for mommy or daddy. God is able to meet all of our needs. His kindness leads us I. The ways of repentance and his forgiveness washes us clean.

Thank you Jesus that you don’t hold our sins against us!

  8. Vs. 4, “But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.”

Eph.1:7 says, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”

The song that I have in my heart this morning is:
I’m thankful for the blood of Jesus,
I’m thankful for the blood of Jesus,
I’m thankful for the blood of Jesus,
    It washes white as snow.

Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Thank You Jesus for forgiving me of my sins and for cleansing me. Thank You Jesus for your Mercy and Grace and the Hope that I have in you.

  9. 5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

Some people put their hope of better days in the rising of the sun each morning. The idea of sleeping it off and starting fresh is common. But our hope doesn’t lie in the earth rotating fully each day to see the sun rise but rather it lies in the son that has risen! We serve God, maker of heaven and earth, who is truly in control. We serve Him who put the planets in motion. Our hope does not lie in that motion but in the one that keeps it going and will in time stop it. Because Jesus has risen we have hope at all times.

  10. iHope

7 Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

HOPE is a powerful word in the fact that it has no expiration or limit. Coupons have expiration and credit cards have limits which means there are boundaries to them. But HOPE is ETERNAL.

    Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

HOPE is powerful because HOPE works in the realm of the POTENTIAL of someone or something. We all have experienced disappointments and setbacks as a result of someone or something we had HOPE in, that did not come out or turn out the we ad HOPE.

We place HOPE in people, things, and organizations based on the POTENTIAL they PRESENT. We see what they could be, can be and will be. We are able to see the value of. We are most often hurt when we place HOPE in unproven ventures. We are willing to take this risk because we see POTENTIAL. Whether by disguise or reality HOPE is deep because it is the core ingredient in LOVE.

Paul teaching the church in Corinth about LOVE.

1Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

HOPE is the meat of the sandwich of relationship. It is the flavor, protein and substance of relationship. The greatest is LOVE; however LOVE is greatly challenged where there is no HOPE.

iHope for Eternal LIFE with JESUS, this HOPE has the most POTENTIAL of any HOPE. This HOPE brings PEACE in times of trouble, COMFORT in times of persecution, JOY in times of sorrow, HEALING in times of infirmity, MERCY in times of failure, PROVISION in times of famine.

Paul warned the Corinthians as well as us in:

1Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

Consider the Psalms to confirm the reason of iHope

Psalms 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

    Psalms 33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

Psalms 33:22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

Psalms 38:15 For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

Psalms 39:7 And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

Psalms 42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

Psalms 42:11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Psalms 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Psalms 71:5 For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.

Psalms 71:14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

The MERCY of GOD is my reason and source of HOPE.

Thank you JESUS for MERCY for today.

Lamentations 3:21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

  11. Ilove to eat the Word

3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

This verse is a great one when your talking to someone about Repentence. Many times they will feel unable to come to God because of their past, but this verse opens up the truth that all have sinned and if God held it against us… then all would fall.

I thank God for Hos amazing grace!

  12. 3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

Let us not judge one another.

12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

We may find that the truth when it is revealed is not what we thought. It is good to examine yourself and show mercy to everyone else.

  13. This chapter illustrates steadfastness. The Lord (Jesus) is true to his Word; “But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.” However, one must also be steadfast in one’s own commitment to God (Jesus); “Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption”. What a mighty God we serve! May the good Lord Bless you all in Jesus name, Amen

  14. Psalm130:5i wait for The Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
    —-
    Psalm130:5 NLT
Ian counting on the LORD!yes,I am counting on him.
-I have putt trust in him.

PRAISE GOD!!!!! He have not hidden his face from me, at the perfect time he has always shown up, to rescue me, to help me…..( tho he has always been there even when I thought he wasn’t ……
I am glad that I can count on him for ANYTHING!!!!! I am walking, I am growing, I am waiting on his word for GUIDENCE, instruction, comfort, hope, answers.and in the waiting enjoying and not letting go of his peace wich he has given to me….
What a beutiful thing is to come to GOD for help, also he the best company you can talk to, you can express, let out of your heart every single thing that is in there …
    GOD I LOVE Your word!!!!!!!!!
    You word is true
    Your word is powerful
    Your word is everything…..
And I am counting on it, I am counting on you… ( Same thing)

  15. Verses 3-7 AMP:

“If You, Lord, should keep account of and treat [us according to our] sins,
    O Lord, who could stand?

But there is forgiveness with You [just what man needs], that You may be
    reverently feared and worshiped.

I wait for the Lord, I expectantly wait, and in His word do I hope.

I am looking and waiting for the Lord more than watchmen for the
morning, I say, more than watchmen for the morning.

O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is mercy and loving-
kindness, and with Him is plenteous redemption.”

This reminds me of the song “I Give You My Heart”, for our hope is in the Lord:

“Lord, I give You my heart
    I give You my soul,
    I live for You alone
    Every breath that I take,
    every moment I’m awake
Lord, have Your way in me

  16. If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

I’m thankful for the forgiveness of Jesus Christ, and that He doesn’t hold our sins against us.

  17. This chapter reminds me of a song I was listening to earlier from the McCruders.

    Thanks for loving me
You have set my captives free
I’m not what I use to be
Thank you Lord for loving me

So thankful for a God that loves us even when we do wrong. Thankful that God is willing to forgive if we have a repentance heart. When I was unloveable he kept on loving me.

  18. 3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

7 Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

I’m thankful for a God who saved me in spite of my sin, cleaned me up and made me whole again.

  19. Psalm 130-4 But there is forgiveness with thee, That thou mayest be feared.
No doubt recalling such reassuring words as Exodus 34:6-7 And the Lord passed by before him , and proclaimed, The Lord , The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty;visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children , and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

  20. v7-8 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities .

The act of redemption is much like the payment of a ransom for a hostage.
I’m so thankful that the BLOOD OF
JESUS CHRIST was the payment needed to redeem us from the prison of sin and the sentence of death.
JESUS IS THE ONLY ANSWER TO OUR SINFUL DILEMMA.
What a wonderful day that will be when we finally enter GOD’S eternal kingdom.
As that old song goes one thing is for certain ” Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice !”
All because HE redeemed us by
    HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD!

    iPray
    iAm Redeemed
    iPraise
    iRejoice
    Now

  21. In this scripture, it’s not always how much you say but what is being said. No one could stand with their iniquities, we have all sinned and fallen short to the glory of God. Thank you Jesus Christ for forgiveness and washing in his blood. “The Redemptive Flow”……….

3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

“We all wait upon thee Oh Lord, and I do hope in your Word, and your promises.”

Word = Made Flesh, Not Void, Sharper than any 2 Edged Sword, Lamp, Light, Promises, Command, Covenant, New Covenant, Solid, Foundation, Power, Spirit, Voice, Truth, Peace, Love, Faith, Hope, Healing, Bread, Manna, Written, In Heart, In Soul, Bind upon hand, frontlets between eyes, visions, dreams, bind around neck, Wisdom, Justified or Condemned, Seed, Preached, and much more. = Jesus Christ + Holy Ghost + Father = GOD “One God”.

  22. 3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

    We serve a merciful God!

  23. 3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

If He is taking tally we are all guilty and should be put to death but thanks be top God that we are redeemed by His blood.

  24. 5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

I thank God for His mercy, His love and His faithfulness. If He was to keep track of all our sins who can stand…wow! God is so good. If it wasn’t for His Word I don’t know where my soul and life would me. I believed and have held on strong to that Word that gives life. That teaches, rebukes, instructs, comforts. The Word says that there is life and death in the tongue. The tongue only says that word that is in you. I want to fill my heart with His Word because His words brings life, and hope, strengthens and encourages.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

  25. 3 If You, Lord, should keep account of and treat [us according to our] sins,O Lord, who could stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with You [just what man needs], that You may be reverently feared and worshiped.
5 I wait for the Lord, I expectantly wait, and in His word do I hope.
6 I am looking and waiting for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, I say, more than watchmen for the morning.
7 O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is mercy and loving-kindness, and with Him is plenteous redemption.
8 And He will redeem Israel from all their iniquities. (AMP)

Thank you Jesus for your grace and mercy, for your loving kindness towards us in forgiving us of all of our sins. My hope lies in You Lord!!

  26. 3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

We are all sinners, no ones sin is greater than the other so we have to learn not to judge somebody because of their sin. Hallelujah for the love and forgiveness of Jesus. It’s reassuring to know what we’re worth and what washes away our sins thank you Jesus. He gives me hope, hope for something more something better.. Thinking about where he has brought me from only gets me more excited to think where he is going to take me!!!!!

  27. Thank you Lord for Mercy and Grace, You deliver me from all iniquity what an awesome God I serve.

In this Chapter the psalmist says that God is merciful, that he washes away our sins. There is no other God like our God. I Glorify your holy name Lord.

  28. Dawn

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

7 Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

Sometimes the night is long. When our hunger for God to dawn in our situation/lives exceeds our hunger for temporary relief for the flesh, we become positioned for the miraculous. When life gets hard and confusing and it hurts and you don’t know exactly what needs to happen but you’re desperate for something to break before you do… that’s when you need to cry out for God to arise, to dawn in our lives.

This morning as I stood at the sink about to brush my teeth, I felt like God asked me a question. I had gotten out of bed physically more awake than mentally and stumbled through trying to start with praise and seeking Him, hoping in the back of my mind I was doing a good enough job, trying to make sure I was not just going through the motions in my sleepy haze. I reminded myself of His mercy and grace, of His love, of Him. Then the question/statement came:

“When I pull my Spirit and church from the earth, if some believers were to be asleep through when it happened, would they even notice I was gone when they woke up? How long would it take them to discover My absence? Some people try so hard to push Me away until they want Me, would they notice a difference?”

The thought was chilling. As I wondered at what it would be like to wake up to the vacuum of the absence of God’s Spirit, I became aware of the warm hush of God’s Spirit around me. I wondered to myself how it had been there all along, but until I really quieted myself to Him, I wasn’t acutely aware of it. I realized as I tried to “seek God,” I was overlooking the fact that His presence had already sought me before I went to seek Him. I had a sense of awe in God and wondered if I tasted of the disciples’ experience on the Emmaus road when Jesus came to speak with them after His resurrection but hid His identity until later on.

I realize another twist to today’s Psalm: it may not be so much God who needs to arise but it is us who needs our understanding to dawn and our eyes opened to see He’s already there. I’ve come a long way over the years but to a certain extent I still fight the feeling of having to beg God for His presence and attention. As I thought about what God said, I thought back to how I too used to push Him away but out of fear, fear He would reject me and deny me His presence and/or get mad at me even if He did show up at first. I felt comforted to know I had gotten past that enough to still seek Him at the very beginning of the day without taking time to work up my courage to pray, but I got a sense of how far I still have to go. Part of the difference was learning to “hope in His Word” and not lean to my own understanding, as I had started with thanking Him for mercy, grace, love, Him…

    Jeremiah 29:11-14
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 14 And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

When dawn breaks in our hearts and we arise in seeking God, He answers in being found of us. We love because He first loved us; we couldn’t even love God if He didn’t first give of Himself to us. God has His presence, His blessing, His salvation ready if we’ll reach out for Him. But until we begin to activate our faith and do those proper works of faith (even if it’s as simple as choosing to believe God’s truth instead of feelings), we remain frozen in the night season. Dawn is ready if we will be.

  29. 3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: -Job 19:25
And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: -Job 19:26

    Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;

Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? -Psalms 24:3

  30. A Record of Sins
Vs 3 If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? 4But with you there is forgiveness, therefore you are feared. This 2 verses bring to mind carnal relationships when someone’s keeping score -making note of every ‘failure’ so they could bring it up later in order to berate you, once they become upset. Unfortunately, some of ‘man-made religion folks’ see God that way-as the great record keeper in the sky, who keeps constant tabs on usand remembers everything we’ve ever done wrong so hecan confront us on judgment day and make us pay up. God is certainly aware of our every thought and deed, and in the end, all will be revealed and perfect justice will be executed (Rev 20:12). We cannot buy our earn attonment. But those whose sins are paid for by the shed blood of Jesus Christ have nothing to fear (Heb 9:11-15). If God gives us what we deserve, we will perish, but because of his great mercy, he chooses not to hold our sin against us: “..as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. “(Ps 103:10-12)

  31. Our hope should be Jesus. We can do all things through Christ. If we wait on the Lord, he will give us strength and direction.

  32. 1 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.

2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

  33. 5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope
You might not understand the path your on but you should continuously follow His will
