Psalm 104

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:

4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

8 They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.

9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

10 He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.

11 They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.

12 By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.

13 He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

15 And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.

16 The trees of the Lord are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;

17 Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.

18 The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.

19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.

20 Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.

21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.

22 The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.

23 Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

25 So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.

26 There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.

27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.

28 That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

31 The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.

32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the Lord, O my soul. Praise ye the Lord.

  3. 31 The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.

The Glory of the Lord, how great is that glory, we need to see more of the glory of God.

    Synonyms
    1. fame, eminence, celebrity. 4. brilliance, refulgence, effulgence

These words are used to describe glory and the Glory of our God is even greater than any fame or celebrity there could be. The feeling of the Glory of God is so awesome it cannot be compared to any other. We need to see God’s presence come down in our services that it has the feel of awesomeness.
The Glory of God does have an endurance to last forever. Nothing can stop his Glory from being.
    How great is our God.

  4. 1. Praise the Lord, my soul. Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty.

    2. The Lord wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent

    33. I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. NIV

    The splendor of the King
    Clothed in majesty
    Let all the earth rejoice
    Let all the earth rejoice

    He wraps Himself in light
    And darkness tries to hide
    It trembles at His voice
    Trembles at His voice

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God and all will see
How great, how great is our God

*Every time you send your spirit something new is created. It could be a new baby in your kingdom it could a couple of new trees to praise you. It’s all for you Jesus. You poor your spirit on us and we are renewed. Thank you for you fulfilling. Your grace is amazing don’t allow me take it for granted.

May sinners be consumed from the earth, And the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD! (‭Psalms‬ ‭104‬:‭35‬ NKJV)

*Maybe one day this whole earth will be with one accord. And we can all praise him! We can all come together as brothers and sisters what a site that would be! Wow

  7. iLove to eat the Word

    “The Angels of the Lord”

Psalms 104:4 KJV Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

Hebrews 1:14 Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?

Matthew 4:11 Then the devil departed from Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

  8. 33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

This is exactly how I feel. I might not be able to sing on key, I might not be able to sing all of it without losing my breath; but while there is still life in me, and breath in my lungs I WILL SING UNTO THE LORD AND WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE HIS PRAISE CONTINUOUSLY IN MY MOUTH.

  9. David’s hymn of creation and the thought process for the provision of all creation is reiterated throughout this chapter. If The Lord cares for the very sparrow that falls to the ground, how much more He cares for His created children. We are in the palm of His hand. This causes me to say “Bless The Lord oh my soul…and all that is within me, bless His holy name!!!!!

  10. MSG – 24 – 30: What a wildly wonderful world, God!
You made it all, with Wisdom at your side,
made earth overflow with your wonderful creations.
    Oh, look—the deep, wide sea,
    brimming with fish past counting,
    sardines and sharks and salmon.
    Ships plow those waters,
and Leviathan, your pet dragon, romps in them.
All the creatures look expectantly to you
to give them their meals on time.
    You come, and they gather around;
you open your hand and they eat from it.
    If you turned your back,
    they’d die in a minute—
Take back your Spirit and they die,
    revert to original mud;
Send out your Spirit and they spring to life—
the whole countryside in bloom and blossom.

As it was preached last night; Mathew 6:26 – 30: Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

  11. “O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.” The Lord (Jesus) made everything and everyone, as such one that is wise will worship the Creator (Jesus), and not the creation; “I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.” What a mighty God we serve, thank God for his word! God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all, in Jesus name, Amen

  12. MY FATHER THE CREATOR

9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

This chapter thunders the creative power of GOD into the hearer. Inspiring and Faith building for the believer to read and meditate on these verses. However what really BLESSED me today is the fact the very same GOD that stretched the heavens and formed the earth has also established perimeters. The very same principal applied here to the waters is applied to the evil that would attempt to drown us in defeat through the flood of bad news. The WORD of the LORD said.

Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

The LORD hath set a BOUND on the enemy and he can only penetrate to the perimeter that GOD has already established.

Be encouraged today to know that GOD has already protected us before we are ever attacked.

  13. God’s Glory Endures Forever

Psalm 104:1 The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.
Gen.1:31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Proverbs 8:31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

  14. 31 The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.

32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

I will praise you all of my days for your glory endureth forever and ever!

  15. Provision

27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.

15 And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.

The whole of the earth finds their provision from God. We do not question the consistency of the beasts of the earth, so obviously God is providing for them, so why question His provision for us? Lions wait for food, donkeys for water, but what of man? God has in store for us not only natural food but wine, oil, and bread:

Wine – His Spirit poured out, filling our lives

Oil – anointing, destroying yokes and making our lives to reflect His glory

Bread – His Word to strengthen our hearts and sustain us

God provides for both our natural and spiritual needs. A strong, overcoming spiritual walk is not to be something elusive, a luxury enjoyed only by some; God freely provides that we would be victorious if we wanted to.

34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

With all His goodness, we do well to remember Jesus for that goodness. If we dwell on what we don’t understand or have been hurt over, we destroy our faith and will become blinded to the reality of God’s goodness. Our meditation of Him should be sweet as we find in relationship with Him that He brings a sweetness that none other could.

    Psalm 34:8
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

  16. 24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

This chapter is full of praise and recognition of Gods love for his creation. He creates, provides, and cares for each and everything. How much more does He care for the creation made in His image? Or more so His children? We need to remove ourselves from a pity complex that says no one cares and remember the power and love of the God we serve.

  17. 1 Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
Woke up with this song on my heart today:

    The splendor of a king
    Clothed in majesty
    Let all the earth rejoice
    All the earth rejoice

    He wraps Himself in light,
    And darkness tries to hide
    And trembles at His voice
    Trembles at His voice

How great is our God – sing with me
How great is our God – and all will see
How great, how great is our God

    Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
    Beginning and the end
    Beginning and the end

    The Godhead Three in One
    Father, Spirit and Son
    Lion and the Lamb
    Lion and the Lamb

How great is our God – sing with me
How great is our God – and all will see
How great, how great is our God

    Name above all names
    Worthy of all praise
    My heart will sing
    How great is our God

    Name above all names
    You’re worthy of all praise
    And my heart will sing
    How great is our God

  18. 27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.

28 That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

I am His, and He cares for me..

Everything that we, all of the Lord’s creations, need and want comes from our God. One would be wise to turn and gladly serve the King, Jesus. I can have my life secure in Him, why would I not want to follow a a life in Him. Often people feel as though they are going to have to live in a life filled with restrictions and what they call life will no longer be enjoyable. That is the lie that enemy wants everyone to believe. What if I can tell you that your future is secure and that you have the best insurance policy, along with the best security and protection with unlimited resources? Wow what kind of job do you need? The most fulfilling of all, serving the King. Everything we need is found in Jesus. He will give as He opens His hands to bless us. He cares for the beasts of the field, and we are more than that. The Key is to seek first the kingdom of God.
Just more reasons to praise Him! To God be the glory!

Psalm 24:1-2 The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,The world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas,And established it upon the waters.

  19. 2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

The psalmist is speaking of the imense splendor of our God. He is also giving foresight of our Savior to come. Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:10) and “While I am in the world, I am the light of the world” (John 9:5). Jesus is God robed in flesh. For “they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”) (Matt1:23). Mary wrapped baby Jesus “in cloths and placed him in a manger” (Luke 2:7). A woman with a blood disease in faith touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and was healead (Matt 9:20). Jesus wrapped a towel around his waist before proceeding to wash the disciples feet in John 13:4. In Matt 27:59 Jesus was “wrapped in a clean linen cloth” to be buried in the tomb. Jesus gave is the gift of His Holy Spirit in Acts 2:3 “And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.” The word cloven here means cleave: wrap, stick, hold to etc. The light of the world set a fire within us. Enflaming us with His Spirit. Wraping us in His authority and commission.

Rev 22:5 “There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.”

  20. Inevitable judgement.

    Psalms 104:35
Let sinners be consumed from the earth And let the wicked be no more. Bless the Lord, O my soul. Praise the Lord!

They day will come where God wipes iniquity off of the earth and separates it from his presence. In the end only good will remain. Right now there is grace to give current sinners a chance to be redeemed. We must fight for the cause if Christ. They need to know that Jesus loves them and he endured the agonies of hell for them.

  21. 33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live. I will praise my God to my last breath!
34 May all my thoughts be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the Lord. (NLT)

How great is our God! May all that I do be pleasing in His sight.

  22. v24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

GOD created and controls all things.

Jeremiah 27:5. I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me .

GOD sustaians the world by the same power with which HE created it……..
    HIS WORD.
” Upholding all things by the word of his word of his power” Hebrews 1:3

I am in AWE !!! and sooo thankful that GOD CARES sooo much for humanity. HE has made provision …….redemption for humanity.

    PRAISE ye the LORD.

  23. New wine, Oh Lord, for he saves the best wine for last. “Last Days”…supernatural wine, and new fresh annoiting “Oil”, and also don’t forget new bread being the bread of life and having this bread more abundantly. Remember, having life and having it more abundantly. Jesus is the bread if life, more of you Lord & less of me, Amen & Amen………

15 And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.
    ———————————————————————-
For the rest of my life, and with all my being let me praise you Lord God Almighty, while I have my being…with a new song I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

    “Let’s Get Glad”………………………………………..

  24. 7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

As the rain poured down from the sky today, I could hear the the thunder from my bedroom from the storm. This verse reminded me of this and when last week I heard thunder that shoke the ground underneath the feet. Sometimes when we forget God’s promises to us, we have to remember he gave us reminders of his power in his word and also in his creation on earth.

When a major storm comes, animals hide in their shelters and people hide in their homes to wait the storm out. If we can believe in how powerful the storm is, how much more can we believe in God’s power in our lives? For he says in this verse that his voice is like thunder. He created the thunder and the storm, how much more powerful is our God to move in our lives?

For the scripture says whatever we rebuke on Earth he rebukes in heaven. The only excuse we have for God not moving in our lives is our unbelief in believing that he isn’t able to do it or that he won’t do it. So speak against that spirit that is coming against you in your life, for God is already sending his storm to rain down his glory into your life.

  25. WITH HONOUR AND MAJESTY 1. BLESS the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. 22. Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: isa. 40 : 22

  26. 33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

We have to purposefully set out to worship the King of Kings. We have to look for Him in all things.

  27. 15 And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.

    18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
    (Ephesians 5:18 KJVStrongs)

9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
    (Hebrews 1:9 KJVStrongs)

4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
    (Luke 4:4 KJVStrongs)

The holy ghost makes our hearts glad. The anointing reveals that we have been in his presence, and are going through life with him ordering our steps. The word of God gives us the encouraging strength, and power to keep going each day.

  28. This chapter reminds me of the song “My Redeemer Lives” that says:
    Who taught the sun
Where to stand in the morning?
    And who told the ocean
“You can only come this far”?
    And who showed the moon
    Where to hide till evening
    Whose words alone can
    Catch a falling star?

    I know my redeemer lives
    I know my redeemer lives
    All of creation testify
    This life within me cries
    I know my redeemer lives

    The very same God
    That spins things in orbit
Runs to the weary, the worn and the weak
    And the same gentle hands
That hold me when I’m broken
    They conquer death to
    Bring me victory

He lives to take away my sins
And He lives forever, I proclaim
That the payment or my sins
Was the precious life He gave
    But now He’s alive and
    There’s an empty grave

  29. 33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

  30. 33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. -Psalms 150:6

As long as there is breath in my body I will praise The Lord!

On the mountain top and in the valley I will praise The Lord!

  31. 35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the Lord, O my soul. Praise ye the Lord.

I will priase you Lord now and forever. Blessed be your great name, I lift you up, deliver me from all evil.

  32. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.
O Jesus , How I praise your Holy and precious name. Lord I am so full of GRATITUDE for your Love and Mercy. I sing praises to your name. Thank You Jesus for Everything you have done and all that you are doing right now. I claim VICTORY over every obstacle in my way. Hallelujah!!!! Jesus!!!!

  33. I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord. (‭Psalms‬ ‭104‬:‭33-34‬ KJV)

What sweet verses! How can we complain when we think like these scriptures? We can’t! Praise The Lord for his mighty works.

  34. 33 I will sing to the Lord all my life;I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. (NIV)
Lord I will praise your name for as long as I live and with all I have! 🙂

  35. The minister of fire

4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

The fire represented in the altar is the burning desire to do the work of The Lord. The ever increasing search for more. The all consuming passion for souls to be saved. The hunt for the truth. If we are truly his ministers then the people that are around us should feel the heat from the fire burning within us. They should feel a temperature change when we come in the room. When the fire is burning strong in the cold it gathers people all around it. Let us draw by our fire, by our passion .
