1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

11 These things command and teach.

12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

    Many churches today don’t read much scripture they simply tell their people “good” practices. Many churches today don’t exhort, they simply console the people there. Many churches don’t teach doctrine today, they simply say that it doesn’t matter. If we read the Word of God, we quickly see that these things matter and that we cannot stop doin them until He comes back for His Church…

    The more we become godly, the more growth in the word, in the Holy Spirit, obedience, in love, in faith, in giving, in discipline,in joy, in righteousness, in peace,and having balance in all things!

    If we practice what Bishop Wright preached last night, we will learn to recognize where the spirits are coming from and not be seduced and deceived by them but reject them for the lies they are.

    Everybody that says Lord, Lord does not believe the message, some depart from the message of truth and holiness. If we do not embrace this message we will find ourselves facing seducing spirits and their doctrines. This is why we must always take heed unto ourselves and continue in the doctrine. These people sink so far as to believe their lies and have their conscience seared until they believe their false doctrines.
    We ask the Lord to help us continue in this truth everyday with the desire to believe all the message.

  6. Verses 11-16 CEV “Teach these things and tell everyone to do what you say. Don’t let anyone make fun of you, just because you are young. Set an example for other followers by what you say and do, as well as by your love, faith, and purity. Until I arrive, be sure to keep on reading the Scriptures in worship, and don’t stop preaching and teaching. Use the gift you were given when the prophets spoke and the group of church leaders[b] blessed you by placing their hands on you. Remember these things and think about them, so everyone can see how well you are doing. Be careful about the way you live and about what you teach. Keep on doing this, and you will save not only yourself, but the people who hear you.”

    Same verses AMP “Continue to command these things and to teach them. Let no one despise or think less of you because of your youth, but be an example (pattern) for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. Till I come, devote yourself to [public and private] reading, to exhortation (preaching and personal appeals), and to teaching and instilling doctrine. Do not neglect the gift which is in you, [that special inward endowment] which was directly imparted to you [by the Holy Spirit] by prophetic utterance when the elders laid their hands upon you [at your ordination]. Practice and cultivate and meditate upon these duties; throw yourself wholly into them [as your ministry], so that your progress may be evident to everybody. Look well to yourself [to your own personality] and to [your] teaching; persevere in these things [hold to them], for by so doing you will save both yourself and those who hear you.”

    This chapter goes right along with what we heard last night…..heed the warnings, and discern where your thoughts have come from. Help me Lord…..JESUS today YOU will SAVE me.

  7. iLove to eat MORE Word

    1 Timothy 4:1 NLT “Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.”

    Oh wow, this is exactly what Bishop Wright spoke about last night. Listening to the wrong voice. The these teachings come from the Word of God, however, they twist the Word out of context. We must always keep the Word in context and never add or take away from it.

    The seducing spirits are religious…

    Proverbs 7:10 The woman approached him,
    seductively dressed and sly of heart.
    11She was the brash, rebellious type,
    never content to stay at home.
    12She is often in the streets and markets,
    soliciting at every corner.
    13She threw her arms around him and kissed him,
    and with a brazen look she said,
    14“I’ve just made my peace offerings
    and fulfilled my vows…

    This might be talking about a physical harlot, but it is also talking about a religious seducing spirit that is seeking the spiritually unstable and unlearned. verse 14 says that she had just payed her vows and verse 7 says it was a naive young man in whom she was seeking.

    BOOM, we have to learn the Word of God and listen to the right voice.
    and one in particular who lacked common sense.

  8. 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

    Don’t dismiss the doctorine. If we continue in doctorine then we can save ourselves and those that hear, but likewise if we do not continue in it then we cannot save ourselves or those that hear. Doctorine is sturdy foundation we should build upon. Without a foundation the building crumbles.

  9. Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. (‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ NLT)

    Don’t let others think you can’t change the world just because your young. Don’t let yourself think you can’t becone anything because your young. If your willing you can do anything for the kingdom.

    I can do anything for his kingdom. I will change this world.

    Do not neglect the spiritual gift you received through the prophecy spoken over you when the elders of the church laid their hands on you. Give your complete attention to these matters. Throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone will see your progress. Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you. (‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭14-16‬ NLT)

    I’ve been working on being sold out completely to God. I have to give him and the word more attention then what I do other things. Take time to seek wisdom and understanding from him. I need more of JESUS I want MORE of JESUS.

    I needed the word brother wright gave to us. I really did need that. That was for me.

    It is important to know the Word of God and walk in the spirit so as not to a believe a lie. The latter times are here.

    Like Bishop Wright taught us we must be careful what we are listening to. Men will give into deluding and seducing spirits, and doctrines that demons teach.

    Why? Because they don’t realize it’s coming from a demon. They aren’t skilled in the word of God. They are religionists and not relationship oriented. They choose to love themselves rather than God

    2 Timothy 3:4 (KJV Strong’s)
    4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

    Pleasures is anything that makes you feel good. It is fun. It is always comfortable and never challenging.

    I believe that the process is aided by the entertainment choices of an individual. These help to codify the impact of the enemy when he does send the thoughts.

    We must guard our mind and heart.

    Proverbs 4:23 (Amplified Bible – AMP)
    23 Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

    When we imitate Christ in our lives, you need to allow Him to shine through you. Glorify HIM, Honor HIM, Reflect His Goodness. That is how others will Learn about HIM. We must uphold HIS doctrine, HIS believes, His teachings; if we expect others to learn of God and His word, then let your life be the testimony they can learn from.

  13. Thankful for food?

    4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
    5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

    It seems like such a simple concept to pray before you eat. To thank the Lord for providing the meal, keeping us safe and the countless other blessings He provides us. As small children my girls never forgot to pray over their food. However, as they grew they seemed to have forgotten the importance of being thankful for food. It is my fault as the leader of this home. Have I allowed meal to be too much of a rush to take the 30 seconds to one minute to thank the Lord for providing another meal? No, I believe it is about ones relationship with the Lord. To be in prayer constantly, one does not forget to be thankful such things.

  14. MORE ATTENTION TO MY TESTIMONY

    16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

    We are called to be a witness of JESUS and our lives are to be a testimony of HIS Love, Mercy and Grace. We are to FIRST examine ourselves and ensure that we are walking in HIS WORD according to HIS doctrine. We are challenged to continue in them and NEVER quit.

    The FRUIT

    We save ourselves and those that hear, see and follow us.

    Wow what a scripture, like Bro. Wright preached last night what sprits are we listening to. Do you know the right voice from the wrong voice? God help us to not listen to the right voice. Be careful that you are not listening to the wrong person and if you are take heed and follow the right one.

    Those latter times are here now. We have so many people drunk on themselves and religion and it’s getting worse. And it all comes from the what the demons are teaching. Now is the time to shrink hell and pull people from hell’s flames. Our testimony speaks and teaches(gives an example) to others. We cannot allow the demon to out teach us.  If you aren’t currently teaching a bible study I encourage you to engage in one today. I pray the Lord would lead us to hungry people.  Let’s pray in the Holy Ghost, fast and eat this book.

    1 Timothy 4:7
    But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness;

    This originally was written for Jewish fables, which were ridiculous. One I will note is the story in which Jesus was a child. Another kid made him angry and Jesus killed him with a thought. This is absolutely absurd and goes against everything we know about Jesus. There are many many more.

    Today we see them in Scientology and some conspiracy theories. I am willing to wager that Hollywood depicts these as well. The recent obsessions with vampires illustrates the point. People have spent more time watching and reading these stories than they have in prayer.

    We really need to evaluate what we put in front of our eyes and judge the fruit by the content in the media and the impact on our walk with God. A entrepreneur I know, who is very successful, calls television a time theft. He says it is the biggest stealer of time in America and he doesn’t own one. Time is the only resource in life we can’t get back. We must use it wisely.

    What a message we heard last night from Bro. Wright. It goes right along with the scriptures today.
    We are diffently in the last times. People are turning away from the true faith and following, listening to, and believing in deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.
    This is why Timothy was instructed to keep a close watch on how he lived and how he taught. He was to stay true to what was right, not only for his own salvation, but for the salvation of others.

    We too must be careful to “the voice” we are listening to. Where is it coming from and what is it saying to us? Jesus said in St. John 10:4 that, “the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.” We are His sheep, and we need to follow “His voice.”
    We need to KNOW what we believe, and BELIEVE what we know. (The Word of God). We need to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Tim. 3:15. We need to get in the Word, study it, know it, believe it, and teach it.
    We need to be watchful and careful of how we live and what we teach and make sure it measures up to the Word of God. We need to stay true to our faith and what is right for our own salvation and for the salvation of others.

  20. last night was just what we needed to hear, some just need to listen to Gods voice and some need to realize that the wrong voice can be listened to and it can easily sound like Gods, we can even reason ourselves into believing it is Gods

    This goes right along with what Bro. Wright taught us last night. We must hear what the Spirit is saying and be able to discern when it is and is not the Spirit of God. This only comes through “walking in the Spirit” on a daily basis. My prayer this morning was for the Lord to order my steps, my speech, my heart, my mind and let me hear with clarity what His Spirit is speaking today.

    I want to be tuned in so I can distinguish the counterfeit and the real!

    We can’t be focused on just us we need to have focus on those around us and our ministries. Yes we should have time for ourselves and be filled with His spirit but it’s also focusing on those in your ministry. Your ministry is your family and the new members are just as important as those that have been there forever so take time with them in encouragement, guidance and teaching them how to understand the ministry. Each person has a place and we need to understand that this is Gods ministry and He’s first but we need everyone to understand the importance of the ministry and how we can reach many people through it. But also rememberany are watching not just in the ministry but also outside of it and they are seeing how We are putting God in the ministry and how it impacts and leads to the vision.

    God let all of us have the vision of Pastor and a desired hunger for You and the lost. Let us want to grow deeper in Your word and in a prayer life with You. God we want more and we need more of YOU!!!!! I want more and I need more of YOU!!!!

  27. Childlike Faith

    When David slew Goliath he was young, in fact he was the youngest son (1 Sam 17:14).Goliath teased him for his youth. “the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.” (1 Sam 17:48).

    Samuel was dedicated to God since childhood by his mother, Hannah, who was once barren. The priest Eli, had two backslid sons who he would not discipline. When the man of God would not listen to the Lord’s warning. God spoke to Samuel (1 Sam 3:10) and proclaimed judgment for Eli and his sons. Removing the mantle for the house of Eli, and raising up a young boy prohet.

    If God can use anyone, He can use a child. The faith of children is so powerful. The older we become the more disappointments weigh down that faith. Children have a strong since of innocence and sincerity. This is the spirit that Jesus speaks of that we need, and should not despise.

    “Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 17Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.” (Luke 18:16)

    Remind us

    As humans we forget. This is why we must hide Gods word in our hearts that we may not sin against him. Yet we forget what we ready sometimes. And therefore must be reminded. Thank God that we live in the usa because we still have access to a bible.

    More revival

    15 Practice these things, immerse yourself in them,[c] so that all may see your progress. 16 Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.

    Our gifts and our talents were given to us with salvation in mind. The salvation of others including ourselves. Not for vain glory or for “good church” but for salvation. Not saying that if we sing someone will be saved but if we humbly accept and know that God gave us a gift and wants to use us for his purpose then we can flow in the anointing and the plan of God

    When we put on godliness, we are not only filled with his Spirit, but we are able to recognize any voice or false teachings and doctrines that are not true. Godliness will not only be a weapon but it will strengthen every part of our spiritual body and that will allow us to also teach others so they can receive from us what God has given us.

  31. “But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.” Many were, and many more will unfortunately be deceived, because of untruths. All the more why one must learn the word of God (Jesus), and heed the man of God. Dear God, help me too not fall into deception; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  32. With this chapter I re-learned from the teaching of yesterday to discern between our thoughts and doctrines that differ from the True, The Word of God.

    Meditate on these things, until you mastered as the knowers of bills, they mastered their knowledge of the real ones that they immediately can identified the false ones.
    In this times with many religions, doctrines and opinions about the True, we have to identified the source of the ideas and even about our own opinions, checking with the Word

    We have to focus ourselves on the Word of God till Jesus comes because that is what is going to guide us and help us in getting to the finish line. We cant make it to the finish line without the true apostolic doctrine!!! We cant make it without Jesus period!! Like Bro. Wright says don’t let what you think become into thoughts that will not produce the fruits of the spirit!!!

    We must look out for ourselves-guard our relationship with God, continue in the apostolic doctrine. Not only will this protect us, it will be the correct example to others who we influence.

    If we learn to recognize spirts that aren’t of God, then we won’t risk falling for their deciteful words

  36. Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly. “Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” (‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭7-8‬ NLT)

    Training takes discipline and work.  If you want to be good at something you will spend time mastering that.  We are told not to waste time on futile things but to trian to be godly.  This lets us know that it does not come naturally to men in flesh.  

    Paul said in Romans : I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. (‭Romans‬ ‭7‬:‭15‬ NLT)

    So we see here the struggle of the flesh.  However through God, Christ Jesus, we can do all things.  We recieve power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon us.   We are to be God’s disciples and that needs discipline and training.  We are ever learning students knowing Truth, Jesus.  

    2 Timothy 2:15
    15 Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.

  38. More Influence

    16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

    Our godly walk not only affects us but influences those around us as well. Our very lives impact the spirit realm whether we realize the difference or not, and we cannot be anything but ourselves in that aspect. We must be genuine in our walk with God to have genuine godly influence, and as we seek to grow in Christ and nourish ourselves in Him, we increase that godly influence.

    2 Peter 3:18
    But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

    Verse 16 sounds great, but too often it is taken out of context. To get the full effect you must read from verse 11-16. It’s only when you read all of the verses together that you get the full effect of verse 16.

    Witnessing is more than just telling someone about God, it’s a lifestyle. When you live right you will have fruit from your labor that everyone can see. If you don’t live right there will be nothing but confusion and conflict you produce. Let’s live right for the glory of God and reach this city

  41. The falling away

    1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

    Listening to the wrong voice can only take you away from God. God has placed men and woman in our lives for buffers and guides to keep us moving the right direction to keep us on track. We have to seek and cherish the coucil of those that are leading us to Jesus. If we are not soliciting good Godly voices in our lives the other voices can take over. Let us keep our focus on Jesus and take heed to the voices God has given us for guidance.

  42. 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

    I’m not gonna read into this and say that even the bible says not to exercise, lol but I see more LIFE. That promise we have of life we have as a fruit of our godliness we will get now and in the to come. That we will not only get life here but MORE life in the life to come. Thanks you Jesus!

  43. 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

    What I learned about this scripture is that I separate my spiritual from my felish for it helps me with my relationship with my father ,for that when I pray to my father helps me keep focus for he is my strength and my rock!!! In Jesus Name !!!!

    Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail.

  44. 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come
    While it is d food to exercise and be in shape. This verse explains to all what’s truly most important: godliness. It is truly profitable and beneficial to our lives and should be our main focus. Because it not only affects the here and now but it affects our futures.

Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Matt. 7: 15 Eph. 4 : 19 3. Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5. For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. I lift up the name of Jesus !!!! He is King of kings !!!! Lord of lords !!!! He is are only hope !!!!

  47. 12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

    Every time we are around other believers, people watch what we say, what we do and how we react to circumstances around us. So let us be a good example for believers around us and not make ourselves stumbling blocks for other christians and their walk with God and let us be a light to others.
