1 John 2

1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

  1. 15. Don’t fall in love with this corrupt world or worship the things it can offer. Those who love its corrupt ways don’t have the Father’s love living within them.

    16. All the things the world can offer to you-the allure of pleasure, the passion to have things, and the pompous sense of superiority-do not come from the Father. These are the rotten fruits of this world. Voice

    Galatians 5:22-23
    22. The Holy Spirit produces a different kind of fruit: unconditional love, joy, peace, patience, kindheartedness, goodness, faithfulness,

    23. gentleness, and self-control. You won’t find any law opposed to fruit like this. Voice

We know a tree by the fruit we see
Serving God has no in between
We’re either cold or we’re hot
He said lukewarm will have no part
It’s coming down to in or out
There’s no time for playing around
We’re going back to lost or found
We’re going back to stand our ground

  2. 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
The love of the world is one of the biggest if not the biggest thing that keeps people from God. The world has so much to attract and offer today, so we have to see the problems with the lust of the flesh and pride of life. When we allow our flesh to lead us and not the Spirit we will fall. Lord help us love God and not the world, because where the love of the world the love of God is not!

  3. Verses 26-27 MSG “I’ve written to warn you about those who are trying to deceive you. But they’re no match for what is embedded deeply within you—Christ’s anointing, no less! You don’t need any of their so-called teaching. Christ’s anointing teaches you the truth on everything you need to know about yourself and him, uncontaminated by a single lie. Live deeply in what you were taught.” Know the voice of God and dig deep into what you were taught.

Same verses AMP “I write this to you with reference to those who would deceive you [seduce and lead you astray]. But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [[o]permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him [being [p]rooted in Him, knit to Him], just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do].” Not today devil! JESUS today YOU will SAVE me.

  4. The Lord completes me!

Being constant in prayer, in the word, and filled daily with the Holy Ghost can keep you safe! Not being enticed by the lusts of the flesh or the eyes, because you know that THE LORD fulfills and completes you.

  5. iLove to eat More Word

1 John 2:15-17 KJV Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life…this is the category that sin falls under. It was from the very first sin of lucifer, to the very first murder. We must daily examine our lives to make sure we don’t fall into one of these categories. If we do, we must ask forgiveness and immediately start walking in the light of God’s Word.

  6. More anointing

    1 John 2:27 (NASB Strong’s)
27 As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

    1 John 2:27 (AMP)
27 But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him [beingrooted in Him, knit to Him], just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do].

    1 John 2:20 (KJV Strong’s)
20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

The anointing comes from submission and pressure. We receive anointing when we submit to the man of God who has been anointed.

However personal anointing comes from patient endurance, crushings of life, and pressure. We receive anointing by not giving up as God takes us through sometimes painful processes.

We understand that anointing brings power. Someone anointed is mightily used by God. Why is this? Is it because God suddenly allows the anointed to access special abilities and super powers?

I do not believe this to be the case.

I believe that, according to this scripture, anointing simply teaches us to abide in him.

The more we cling to and abide in him the more our relationship with him grows. The relationship is what produces the power. We walk through these tough times we become closer to him, more sensitive to his spirit, more sensitive to his voice.

Anointing teaches us to abide in him.

  7. Yes
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

That’s right and true, because if someone reads, prays, the HOLY GHOST will tell them what to do and will explain the Scriptures, will give revelation.

  8. NLT 22 And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist. 23 Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

These verses sound familiar, when someone says, “there are different paths to reach God, that Jesus is not the only way”. I’ve had a discussion about it before, they say, “Dont we worship the same God, but he has a different name”. “Isn’t Allah the same God as yours”

I say, no, no and no! I ask them, “Was your God perfectly revealed in Jesus Christ?”. If they say no, then they have a different God from the Holy Bible. I mention the following verse:

John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

  9. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

We must love one another letting Jesus’ light shine through us.

  10. 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.

We need to keep our eyes on the eternal and not the temporary. This world is not my home, just passing through. Carnality and sin bring death, because they are of this world and this world will pass away. Only those who love and depend on God will surpass death.

  11. “I can’t walk without you
    I can’t talk without you
    I can’t sing without you
    I’m nothing without you

    I can’t live without you
    I can’t breath without you
    I can’t be without you
    There’s no me without you

Tell me what can I do
    Cause I can’t live without
    I can’t live without you”

I woke up with this song on my heart today. We are nothing without God in our lives. We can do nothing without Him. So many times I get caught up in whats going on around me and I lose sight of what God has done. I forget what God has done in my life and get off track. I am nothing without God and it’s because of Him I’m living. I don’t know where I would be without God. I’m so grateful for a God that gives a second chance to me, someone who doesn’t deserve it. God is a merciful God and loves us enough to give us another try!

Thank you Jesus for your love and your mercy!!
    Hallelujah!!

  12. Keep your eyes on the prize (eternal life)

We must keep our eyes on God and his kingdom, not on the world and the things in it. The world will only bring sin into our life, remember this is not where we belong it’s only our temporary home!! Lord help me to keep my eyes focused on you and you alone, and to not be conformed to this this world!!

  13. Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment for you; rather it is an old one you have had from the very beginning. This old commandment—to love one another—is the same message you heard before. Yet it is also new. Jesus lived the truth of this commandment, and you also are living it. For the darkness is disappearing, and the true light is already shining. (‭1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭7-8‬ NLT)

Just like in the skit of Bro.Merriman where the girl didn’t want to follow the recipe because it was old…..well so is the bible and the bible is our guide and a part of our relationship wit God. Just like this scripture says I’m bringing something old but it is also new. Now many a probably confused on how it can be old but new……well two things if you haven’t read the bible at all everything is new to you and once you read a scripture you get one understanding but going back and rereading it again God will show you something new.

So the bible is however old in the worlds mind but spiritually it will always be a brand new fresh alive book that brings us new revelations.

The Word is Old but New!!! Thank You Jesus for this revelation!!! Your word will never age or die

  14. 1Jo 2:15
    Do Not Love the World

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
    (ESV)

there is times when we can get carried away with our daily life and we forget that God is our priority.
Even our jobs our house, cars etc… can take the place of God and that can also become love for the things of this world.
I personally have a daily battle of prioritizing the things of God and then the rest of my daily duties instead of leaving my blog, prayer, reading after I’m done with all my daily duties.
In Jesus we can all be victorious!!!
    Have a bless day everyone.

  15. If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. (‭1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭4-6‬ NLT)

You can tell if somebody is really living for God. Just have a few talks with them. You’ll see if he speaks evil or he speaks life. Watch them from a distinst. You’ll see how they act and talk when others are around them.

Show the love of Jesus when we walk and talk. People will notice it. People have came up to me. “You changed bro..what is it?”

  16. 25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

God made a promise to his people of eternal life and will not become void. The enemy will try to distract you from righteousness but we know what’s not of God is unrighteousness. Follow the light which is God and shine for him for in the darkness you are lost.

  17. 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

We are in this world and have to be aware of what is going on around us and the Church needs to be involved in current events to be able to read the signs of the times and to reach the lost, but we are not of this world and can’t get caught up with the things of this world lest we take our eyes off of HIM. We must keep our eyes on the prize which is Jesus and Heaven where the treasures are eternal.

  18. 15 Don’t love the world’s ways. Don’t love the world’s goods. Love of the world squeezes out love for the Father.

16 Practically everything that goes on in the world – wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important – has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from him.

17 The world and all its wanting, wanting, wanting is on the way out – but whoever does what God wants is set for eternity. MSG
We are to live in this world but not be of the world. Don’t love what the world does and don’t love the things of the world.
It’s not all about us it’s about saving the lost. You never know who is going to ask you questions about God, so we need to be ready and on fire to serve God. I had a girl ask me today at work if i thought that if you got baptized in your younger years but don’t how you were baptized would you do it again. I explained to her (the best I could) that if you didn’t know or if it was father, son and holy ghost you need to re-do it. So that opened the door to explain to her (how david smith explains) about how to be baptized. And she said she didn’t know how she was baptized. God is wanting us to be willing to be a witness to the lost. So you just never know when you are going to cross paths with someone hurting.

  19. 2 He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. (NLT)

How great is our God that he would sacrifice himself just for you and me! Thank you Jesus!

  20. 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Were in the world but shall not love the things that are in the world. The things of this world are all temporarily but not my Jesus, He is eternal and His love reigns forever. The materialistic things will only make our body to sin which will cause death spiritually and eventually physically. When you are bound to sin your start trying to figure things out on your own when in reality we shouldn’t have to worry about anything. God is in control of EVERYTHING and will not forsake his children. His word says “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matt (6:26)
Were much more valuable than the birds which means God will give us MORE in abundance. God will take care of us because I have been a witness of that and I will surrender everything to Him because I can’t do Anything without Him!

  21. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

These are tough words, but true. People will come and go in the chruch, even people in our personal lives. God will send people our way to build us up on our journey. Their is a season for everything, and a path for every follower to walk. He isn’t talking about people who are sent to us or sent out from us by God. He is talking about those who chose to leave the church A.W.O.L. Their is a saying “birds of a feather flock together” Amos 3:3 says “Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?” Darkness will never agree with light. Light will never agree with darkness. Shadows are only cast to show us God’s vision in the Word. Anything established by God will be everlasting, anything not will crumble. The lusts of this world will die. Darkness will be no more, in fact the sun will be no more (Rev 22:5). We interceed for those who leave their position. This message makes clear that not all will be redeemed to us. Loss is a painful thing, on our journey we wil have to let people and things of this world go, in order to hang on to His Marvelous Light.

  22. MORE HONESTY AND MORE OBEDIENCE

3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Accountability, Stewardship, Honesty, Integrity, Submission, Obedience. These words are the foundational, character principals of the life of a believer (follower of JESUS). The apostle brings no subtle approach, soft caressing of words. Either we OBEY JESUS or we are liars.

Many temptations are presented by satan to the believer to disobey and violate the principals of the scriptures of our great GOD. However we must never forget we are known of HIM and by HIM through our obedience to HIS commandments.

Our aspirations, attitudes and actions must align with GOD or we are liars, living a lie, and the truth is not in us.

May GOD help us heed these words as we see the end of time as we know it approaching at breakneck speed.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iObey
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap

  23. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

We must walk the walk, and talk the talk to be truly a Christian. We cannot say one thing and do another. Jesus is going to know us by us keeping His commandments. Those that are “in” Him will do like Him and be like Him.

I love His law, and I keep His commandments was something that David express numerous times in Chapter 119 of Psalms. He recalled various situations that he had faced, but to close each situation out, He verified that He loved the law of the Lord and He kept His commandments and it came through every storm.

  24. 1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world if anyone loves the world love for the Farther is not in them . for everything in the world the lust of the flesh the list of the eye and the pride of life comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

  25. 15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you (NLT)

This world is not my home, im just passing through!

  26. 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever

Don’t love the things of this world it’s not of The Lord and the lust of the flesh is of the world wich is not of God we are just passing threw this place this world is not are are home . So do the will of god and you will abideth forever

  27. NLT of 1 John 2:9-11
If anyone claims, “I am living in the light,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is still living in darkness. Anyone who loves a fellow believer is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble. But anyone who hates a fellow believer is still living and walking in darkness. Such a person does not know the way to go, having been blinded by the darkness.

This reminded me of Bible Study last night. Joseph had dreams that showed that his brothers would bow down to him someday, and his father made him a coat of many colors because he favored him. Because of these things, his brothers hated and envied him. Pastor said last night, “Be careful of being jealous of someone who is favored.”

There is no way a person can walk or live in the Light of God if he is jealous of or hates his fellow brother or sister in the Lord. Matter of fact, they are still walking and living in darkness. In God’s Word (1 John 3:15) they are called a murderer, and a murderer has no eternal life abiding in him. So if you have an aught against your brother or sister in the Lord, you had better go make it right, if you want to be right with God and walk and live in His Light.

MORE Love for our brothers and sisters in the Lord!
MORE Walking and Living in the Light of God!

  28. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

Sometimes some people aren’t the easiest to be around, some people we like more than others. Regardless, we should never get to the point that we confess we hate our brother or sister in Christ. I’ve learned recently, instead of praying God would change them or keep them away we should be praying “ok Lord, what is it you are trying to show me, what is it you would like me to change” the problem isn’t always everybody else. We need to turn the magnifying glass on ourselves and humbly take correction instead of confessing hate toward another child of God for with that we show exactly who’s side we are on

  29. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. (‭1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭9-11‬ KJV)
The fruit of a repentant heart is love for God’s Body on earth ,the church.
Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister whom they have seen cannot love God whom they have not seen .(1john 4 :20 )
One of the signs that a believer has passed from death to life is love for others.
Therefore I say unto thee ,her sins ,which are many are forgiven; for she loved much ;but to him little is forgiven the same love little . ( Luke 7:47)

  30. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. (‭1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭4-6‬ ESV)

Becoming a Christian is to be Christ like. We should have the same mindset and actions as Christ and if we not we are simply NOT Christian. He is the vine and we are the branches we should all bear the fruit of the Spirit. If we don’t beat any fruit we must check our connection.

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. (‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭1-6‬ ESV)

  31. Over coming the evil one
To win a victory or to conquer. The Christian cannot be victimized by Satan or the world-against hisor her will. If we stay close to Jesus we share by faith in the victory He won.

  32. 1Jo 2:27
27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
    (ESV)

Before we were saved we relied on school, parents, Even tv to educate us how to live and do things in our lives. Know that that we are saved it’s His anointing that teaches us How to truly live which is the opposite of what this world and society has taught us all of these years. His anointing will continue to teach us and guide us in our circumstances good or bad and in anything we desire, only if we are hungry to learn. MORE FOUR40!!

  33. 29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

Be born again. We must be born again. We must be righteous. We must go right. We are the children of God.

  34. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

How can one say they love if they don’t hear the other person and listen to the things asked off..? Well it’s done a lot by today’s society. A lot of people claim to live God but their actions are far from showing it. What does Jesus ask of us? To love Him and love others. We will show the fruit of this in our relationships. If we stay in the vine, we shall have His fruit.

  35. Perfect Love

5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

The completion of God’s love in us is our relationship with Him. Keeping His Word means maintaining relationship with Him, and that is the focus of God’s love in us. Ultimately, this points to the state He desires for each of us in eternity, the be in continual relationship and communion with Him through the fullness of His love.

    1 John 4:16-17
16 And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him.

17 In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.

  36. 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

This scripture shows us why our focus must be on God. Any love for this world and God’s love is not in you. It is important to be filled with the love of God.

  37. 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

There is a popular book titled “The 5 love languages” all though it is popular I am convinced that obedience and submission trumps anything writen. Submission and obedience is God’s “Love Language”

  38. HE loves your brother too!

11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

You cannot have a relationship with Jesus Christ and hate on your brother. It would be like me allowing Michael to beat Joseph up and take him for ice cream afterward. God doesnt play games with his children. He loves all of us and will protect us even from our brethren if he needs to.

  39. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

Regardless to how ever long you been in church living for God. If you can look at your brother or sister because you hate them so much You are a Sinner!

  40. 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
your actions will show where you stand.

  41. False teachers

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.

The context of the passage is speaking of antichrists “literally false teachers.” To whom John is writing is debated by scholars, but it most certainly is speaking about people who preach something other than the truth.

It is painful to see people leave the truth and believe a lie. Let us hold fast to the doctrine that is given to us. Never let go of truth.

Many people claim to be holy, righteous Christians, but the truth is in the gravy as they say, or better yet in the fruit. God has expectations aka commandments for His people to follow. So in turn it is very simple, if you’re not following His commandments then you’re not living like Jesus did. If you’re not living like Jesus did, then you’re none of His.
Let’s follow His word and be more like Christ!

  43. And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. (‭1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭28‬ KJV)

    Why little children?

When we are little in the is spirit or in physical state we have much of our lives ahead of us. We need to stay in him and his word. If we do we will build our faith, have more love, and have better communion with God.

  44. 11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

When you have hate and rage in your heart that is all that you see. You are blinded by your hatred, you walk in darkness. Only by love and forgiveness can the LIGHT shine on the darkest situations.

  45. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

The things and desires that we have in this world, and the temptations that the devil tries to throw at us all are only temporary. But doing the will of God and seeking after the things of God will last us an eternity, as that is something that we bring with us into heaven.

We can’t bring our possessions, our money or any other things that come from this earth but we can bring our good deeds we have done to other people and serving God as he gives us a reward for following diligently after him. That’s what we should really seek after in this life

  46. v28 And now, little children, abide in hi; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming

We have the hope to a wonderful future event
” When he shall appear ” we shall be like HIM”

    MORE HOPE

  47. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

    Lev 19
17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

Mark 11:25 – And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

We can pray say and night and feel we can have victory but with hate, our hearts abide in darkness away from God. We take the sin upon ourselves and become a tragically wounded soul. We are captive to hidden hate that is in our heart.

It’s doesnt mean we can not or should not get mad, but that we should always seek forgiveness if we want the line directly with God connected.
