Acts 4

1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

5 And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

  1. We are people of the Name of Jesus!

This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (‭Acts‬ ‭4‬:‭11-12‬ KJV)

  2. The beginning of verse 8 MSG starts with “With that, Peter, full of the Holy Spirit, let loose….” Can you imagine what would happen if ALL who were full of the Holy Spirit (as we witnessed this past week) let loose??? The answer is in verse 31 MSG “While they were praying, the place where they were meeting trembled and shook. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak God’s Word with fearless confidence.” PRAY everyday, receive IT everyday and SPEAK the Word everyday.

Matthew 10:17-20 MSG “Don’t be naive. Some people will impugn your motives, others will smear your reputation—just because you believe in me. Don’t be upset when they haul you before the civil authorities. Without knowing it, they’ve done you—and me—a favor, given you a platform for preaching the kingdom news! And don’t worry about what you’ll say or how you’ll say it. The right words will be there; the Spirit of your Father will supply the words.”

  3. 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

These people knew Peter and John were not educated (they used the term ignorant and unlearned) , but they also knew they had been with Jesus. If I can let the world see I have been with Jesus is more important than anything else in life.
What we accomplished as far as good deeds will not be worth much, but for people to see we have let the Lord be our king and take control of our lives.
Yes if we spend enough time with Jesus we could see more blind, lame, or possessed people touched by Jesus!! When we learn it’s not about us, but about him (Jesus) we will have learned a valuable lesson!!
When it’s about Jesus there is no stopping , but if it’s about us it will not last!!

  4. iLove to eat the Word

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

I wonder what would happen if the majority of the church would pray this prayer today. If we could all come together and pray that signs and wonders could be performed. Many today don’t trust themselves to do signs and wonders, but if we could get out of the selfish attitude of look at me and get into the attitude of glorifying Jesus then great things would began to happen in our churches. We have to remember, Judas also performed miracles. The working of miracles does not prove you are super spiritual, its only purpose is to glorify God. God desires us all to glorify Him.

  5. SPEAKING MORE ABOUT JESUS

We learn fromt the Apostles the power of the tongue. They continually found themselves in opportunities for miracles, because they were always talking about JESUS and the POWER of HIS name. The apostles were not recognized by their elequent speech or profound education, but by the fact that they had been with JESUS.

Even when commanded to keep quite about JESUS. Their lives were so deeply engrossed in JESUS that had nothing else to talk about. May GOD grant us the mind of Christ and may we allow the mind that was in Christ JESUS be in us also is my prayer.

  6. Be Bold, Be Prayerful

What a great outline to use in prayer When the enemy comes against what God has called us to do. one would say they where bold before they went to pray so why did they pray for boldness? Well they are bold but they are also filled with discernment. They realized the enemy was trying to intimadate them which is the opposite of boldness.

So they go to prayer. Their prayer consists of them worship God, telling God He has a problem, and then loosing the opposite of the problem into their own lives that they would stay focused on the call and not the problem.

Notice their words “26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.”

When things arise against the mission God has sent you on, remember the opposition is against Him it’s your job to pray, loose the opposite into your life, and keep moving. God will take care of the rest.

    Be Bold, Be Prayerful!

  7. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

May you give to each and everyone of us at POFW ALL BOLDNESS THAT WE MAY SPEAK WHAT WE HAVE SEEN AND HEARD!!!

THEY KNEW THE WILL OF GOD!!! MANY USE ” may your will be done” AS AN EXCUSE, TRYING TO CLEAN THEIR HANDS , ALL THE WHILE KNOWING WHAT HIS WILL IS!!!
BUT NOT THEM!!! THAT IS BOLDNESS

  8. Acts 4:8 Then Peter filled with the Holy Spirit said to them Rulers and elders of the people if we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed. Then know this you and all people of Israel it is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom you crucified but God raised from the dead that this man stands before you healed Jesus is the stone you builders rejected which has become the cornerstone.
Salvation is found in no one else for their is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be save.

  9. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. (‭Acts‬ ‭4‬:‭13-14‬ KJV)

You don’t need to have gone to college for 10 years to be smart or a bible schlor. To preach the gospel You just need the word of God and be filled with the Holy Ghost! All the power is in the name of Jesus Christ. You Just got spend time with JESUS so he can teach and lead you. Give you wisdom and understanding.

  10. Herd Mentality

5 And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

The herd mentality is so prevalent in the Bible. There are people who stand on their own but generally when poor decisions are made it is the result of a group effort. Here, “their” rulers, elders, scribes, high priest and kindred gathered to determine the fate of these followers of Jesus. Jesus was often the focus of the herd mentality; both good and bad.

So, have you ever heard the saying if all your friends were to jump off the bridge would you jump also? Likely this parental nugget was the result of a herd mentality action on your part. Likely you said something to the effect of “my friends were doing it.” Being aware of things is the first step to breaking the cycle. While there is safety in numbers, poor decisions as a result of popular vote do not always produce favorable outcomes for the group or individuals.

  11. 8-12 With that, Peter, full of the Holy Spirit, let loose: “Rulers and leaders of the people, if we have been brought to trial today for helping a sick man, put under investigation regarding this healing, I’ll be completely frank with you—we have nothing to hide. By the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the One you killed on a cross, the One God raised from the dead, by means of his name this man stands before you healthy and whole. Jesus is ‘the stone you masons threw out, which is now the cornerstone.’ Salvation comes no other way; no other name has been or will be given to us by which we can be saved, only this one.”

Holy Boldness was evident in Peter….. we have nothing to hide. That same spirit and power lives within us. We must get out of our shells and begin proclaiming JESUS just like they did in the book of ACTS!

  12. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

When you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, God gives you power and authority over your enemies. He gives you the boldness to go out and speak his word to others. Oh what a great gift that is!!

  13. 14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

It hard to say something bad when the truth is right infringement of you. We have the power when we have IT. We have that power. Let the truth be told. The truth will set you free.

  14. 7 They brought in the two disciples and demanded, “By what power, or in whose name, have you done this?”

Without hesitation Peter answered, “Jesus! You know that man you crucified? Yeah, Him!” Just the same when we go out living lives as Holy Ghost filled believers, people should be able to notice we have a little extra pep in our step and encouragement in our words. When they question, “What is up with you? What’s with all the joy?” We should quickly answer, “Jesus!” and then continue to tell them as Peter did, verse 12: “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. (NLT)”

  15. NLT 2 These leaders were very disturbed that Peter and John were teaching the people that through Jesus there is a resurrection of the dead. 3 They arrested them and, since it was already evening, put them in jail until morning.

Just like in the past, here in our time and day, the same thing is happening around the world. Preaching in Jesus name can send you to jail. Like Pastor says, the name of Jesus is what strikes a cord against the unrighteous. You can believe in Christianity, but do not say the name of Jesus. For the Unrighteous know his name means power and authority.

  16. No Other Name

If we look closely at the context of Peter’s declaration in v12, we’ll see this is no kindergarten Sunday school class. This is no Basic Doctrine 101 entry level class of folks. Peter is relating to the Sanhedrin, the rulers and elders of the Jewish nation. He is talking with the religious hierarchy, the ecclesiastical heavyweights of his day. These are also the leaders that orchestrated t g e crucifixion of Jesus.

With razor sharp conviction Peter informs them that the One they have rejected and nailed to a cross is their hope for salvation. He lets them know that the stone they tossed out is actually the capstone that will hold their whole religious structure together. Without Him they have no chance of finding salation or wholeness. This is no poetic word game to highlight Jesus as some sad martyr. It is a crystal clear message that their is one, and only one, way to heaven. Their is only one name in all heaven and earth that has the power to save. That name is Jesus (Ro 10:13).

  17. 18 Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! 20 As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

Many people in our life will try to make us stop talking about God. They will try to lead us to another direction away from God. But we have to stand up for God! We can’t and we won’t let people tell us what to do, what to believe, what to wear(etc) because we Gods children and we are the light of this world and we stand for God!!! 🙂

  18. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

This is something we should all know and be able to witness oneness and the plan of salvation to those that are lost

  19. 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

The key verse is v8, and Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost….”

Beware and say of saying that you have a word from God to someone and it not be from God, you become a false prophet.

Ps 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.
Matt 16:7 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Ignorance is the result of a lack of a relationship with Jesus. There is no greater state the body can be in but filled with the Holy Ghost. The greatest revelation we can get is Jesus name revelation though the HG.
You want to be wise, walk in the Spirit.

  20. Give it all away to be in poverty?

Acts 4:34 For there was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of land or houses sold them and brought the proceeds from what was sold

Throughout Paul’s ministry, he continued to collect an offering for the church of Jerusalem. It is possible that the churches poverty came from this event here. This type of behavior is not sustainable for long. It is bad economics.

When we consider that many of the people thought Jesus was coming back very soon, it makes sense that they would behave in such a way. Not many years after this, a famine would hit and worsen the economic condition of the church. Opinions that suggest this happened because of the destruction that was coming fail. Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD and this event happened prior to Paul’s conversion (between 30-36 AD) and before the Jerusalem Council (53 AD).

It is important to not give away all possessions just because “the end is coming.” The end has been coming since the 1st century and we can be no more certain that we are in the last days then our ancestors. The times now are no worse than the times before us. We can’t become fixed on the end. We must be good stewards of time and wealth and continue to live with urgency as if today is the last day.

  21. Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. (‭Acts‬ ‭3‬:‭1-8‬ KJV)
The miracle of healing was not just for the Lame man but it was also a open door for Peter to preach to those who portook in the crucifixion of Jesus.
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you
Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand. (‭Acts‬ ‭4‬:‭4KJV)

  22. 2, “Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.”
10, “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.”
12, Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
30, “By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders my be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.”

All TRUE teaching and preaching, all healing, all signs and wonders, and salvation can only be done through the Name of JESUS Christ.

Col. 3:17, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

  23. Head of the corner !!!! 11. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Ps. 118 : 22; Matt. 21 : 42 12. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 13. Now when they saw the boldness of Pe’-ter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Je’- sus. 14. And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. Thank you for being my saviour !!!!

  24. “But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.” All will have choices in one’s life, which one will either obey God (Judge) or man. Dear God, let my heart not become hard and deny you; “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done”. In God we trust! What a mighty God we serve! Thank God for his word. God bless America, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  25. 20 We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.”NLT

We need to tell other people what God can do for them, we need to impact their lives we don’t need to sit around and let people be lost in this world we to tell them about What God has done for us, because whatever God has done for us he can do for them!!

  26. 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

By the power of the God’s same spirit and by the Name of Jesus Christ anything is possible.

  27. 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Peter was a man of boldness one who proved his faith over and over again and one who probably said more that he wanted to at times. Nonetheless he never let anything stop him from proclaiming who Jesus Christ was and his promise of salvation. We should be bold like Peter and not be afraid to tell the truth of the gospel.

  28. Act 4:29-31
29 And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, 30 while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.
    (ESV)

We must not be afraid of speaking the word of God because we have have God’s Spirit be hind I’d and no matter where we are or what we do if we have His Spirit we will always have the boldness to preach His Word. He has given us the power to perform signs and wonders for His glory.

  29. 4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
No matter what comes against Jesus, He will be victorious. Nothing will defeat Him!

  30. v 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

Do all in the Name Of JESUS.
THEName Of JESUS IS in the beginning, center, and end.
We can obtain healing, deliverance, salvation , and miracles.

  31. 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Amen!!! By the name of Jesus Christ! We have the same spirit by which God raised from the dead 🙂 hallelujah!!! No one like my God!!! I don’t know why sometimes I worry about things when I know he’s in control of everything and he will not leave me because I am his child!!! Guide me daily Jesus!!! Everything I have is because of you!!

  32. Acts 4:12 (NASB Strong’s)
12 And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

Acts 4:12 (Wuest – The New Testament: An Expanded Translation)
12 And there does not exist in any other the salvation, for there is not even another name under heaven which has been given among men by means of which we can be saved, the need for this salvation being a necessity in the nature of the case.

    Acts 4:12 (Weymouth New Testament)
12 And in no other is the great salvation to be found; for, in fact, there is no second name under Heaven that has been given among men through which we are to be saved.”

Acts 4:12 (Good News Translation (GNT))
12 Salvation is to be found through him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us.”

    Acts 4:12 (AMP)
12 And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.

No matter which way you read it the name of Jesus is the only name that saves.

  33. There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ NLT)

Thank the Lord for all He has done. Through His name alone we have the opportunity to be saved. Don’t spend time wasted on other petty gods when they can do nothing for you. Jesus Christ is the only way!

  34. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

There is no other name that can save you. There is healing, love, and so much power in the name of Jesus. There isn’t any idol that can be compared to my God. My God fills any void. Name above all names and he is worthy to be praise!

  35. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

It takes a man filled with the Holy Ghost to recognize and give all honor and glory to God. We must know that we are only vessels and channels of blessing that God chooses to use. The power is in the name, Jesus. When we are in the Holy Spirit we take on God’s nature and allow Him to flow to bless and minister to others.

  36. Timing

21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

The man healed could have been healed before that particular day (he was over 40 years old), but it was on that day that it glorified God for him to receive his miracle. The thing of miracles is that we can get in a hurry and our faith only encompasses a miracle that fits on our timeline. But the timing of miracles is not our own. It doesn’t matter how much faith we have or what scriptures we quote, God is not a vending machine for us to get miracles out of whenever we choose. We must trust His will and timing and seek Him and His glory above the miracle. Faith and patience will yield peace and joy while waiting for the timing of miracles. This man’s miracle led many to glorify God and gave opportunity for the name of Jesus to be exalted, and it happened because the timing was right.

    John 9:1-3
1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

  37. We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.” (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4‬:‭20‬ NLT)

For our God has teached his word to his people that walk faithfully and righteous in his eyes and obey his word and his commands, for we his children should never stop telling people in this world about the Miraculous things that we can see by God giving us a spiritual gift that only they can see and we gods children should never stop telling people what we hear from inside of the mighty god Jesus Christ house of praise and worship for what we hear is some mighty and powerful and amazing for who wouldn’t want it I wanted desperately, for we need to teach the word to theses lost souls for it hurts me inside to see people fall for the things they do that are not right for they don’t know that there leading there selves towards the pit of hell and I don’t like seening lost souls going to hell. In Jesus mighty Name Amen !!!! Hallelujah Praise the lord !!!!!

  38. 31 After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of our people……13 The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.

More Holy Ghost = More Boldness

vs 31 sates they were filled with the Holy Ghost and then preached the Word with BOLDNESS.
In Vs 8 again Peter was filled with the Holy Ghost, then spoke to them. In Vs 13 The members saw the BOLDNESS and were amazed.

  39. 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Peter had boldness and power that Jesus spake of. We have that same spirit, power, and BOLDness that Peter had back then. It is called the Holy Spirit who is the comforter through Jesus, because the two are one.

  40. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

The power of prayer is a mighty weapon that God gives us to help fight the spiritual fight. When we pray, we can invite God’s presence so that other people may be touched by the Holy Spirit and start speaking in tongues, and prayer helps us to use the word of God in boldness, for it’s by God’s word that casts away the enemy from your life. So keep believing and keep praying, we all can’t get enough of either in our lives.
