  1. Verses 31-32 TLB “King David appointed song leaders and choirs to praise God in the Tabernacle after he had placed the Ark in it. Then, when Solomon built the Temple at Jerusalem, the choirs carried on their work there.” Psalm 84:4 NLT says “What joy for those who can live in your house, always singing your praises.”

Verse 48 MSG says “The rest of the Levites were assigned to all the other work in the place of worship, the house of God.” 2 Chronicles 31:21 AMP says “Every work which he began in the service of the house of God in keeping with the law and the commandment, seeking and inquiring of his God [and longing for Him], he did with all his heart and prospered.”

  2. As I read this chapter about the generations and generations and their places they took in the kingdom whether it be good or bad, but they all were of a generation.
I ask what is our generation like? Are we going to stand aside (asleep) and wait for the next generation to make a difference or are we really teaching our children and the generations to come how to FIGHT the good FIGHT!?! GOD HAS BEEN SOOOO GOOD TO US!!! LET’S FIGHT!!! FIGHT FOR WHAT GOD HAS BLESSED US WITH!!! HE WILL DO THE REST!!!

So Thankful for my Family at POFW.
There’s something for everyone to do.

These guys had no choice, they were appointed to serve. We are so blessed to get a chance to serve, in whatever the capacity that Jesus allows…

  6. 48 Their brethren also the Levites were appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

49 But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

Everyone had a duty in the kingdom. From the top to the bottom, from the least to the greatest and we Must fulfill our role as God has called us.

  7. 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.

32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

And they waited on their office according to order.
There is an order set by God. They waited, not by just standing around doing nothing but the scripture says with singing they ministered.
The next scriptures set up the order of the the Levites.
Then the house of Aaron appointed for the that which was most holy.
Each had “waited” until they were appointed. Waiting is the most difficult thing in life. We are such impatient people , we live in such a fast pace world. Waiting is not the most common topic of the day. Looking around you some the most sacred things we should wait for have been trampled down because of impatience or the lust of the flesh. Marriage the world doesn’t wait til marriage for sex, having babies everyone now days wants to know the gender of their unborn baby, you don’t even have to wait in line to pay for your groceries anymore you can pay on line. Yet scripture thorough tout the word uses the word “waited”.
There is preparation going on “in the wait”.
We cannot get so impatient in where we are trying to get to that we miss the most important portion of wait preparation and still being active for the kingdom.
Who knows you may have been waiting for something that God has not planned for your life. So just serve and watch spas God sets the order.

  9. LEADING WORSHIP

31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.
32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

Singing is a biblical command, however talent or the ability to sing correctly or harmoniously is not a command. Some can sing in key, on pitch and with harmony. While most of us just sing.

I am thankful for the auditions, practices, practices, practices and practices of the WORSHIP MINISTRY at The POFW. While the aspirations are not for a recording label, we strive for excellence in spirit, attitude and presentation.

WORSHIP MINISTRY is possibly one of the most time consuming ministries in the church, due to the preparation for presentation. I encourage you to pray for the WORSHIP MINISTRY at The POFW everyday.

Davids WORSHIP LEADERS were required to follow the instructions given to them. Possibly some instructions they did not understand or desire. The most likely holds true at The POFW. A key revelation that every musician and singer must receive is the fact that:

We are not performing for people, but leading people into WORSHIP that is offered to GOD (JESUS).

  10. Only Aaron and his descendants served as priests. They presented the offerings on the altar of burnt offering and the altar of incense, and they performed all the other duties related to the Most Holy Place. They made atonement for Israel by doing everything that Moses, the servant of God, had commanded them. So the descendants of Aaron were given the following towns, each with its pasturelands: Hebron (a city of refuge), Libnah, Jattir, Eshtemoa, Holon, Debir, Ain, Juttah, and Beth-shemesh. And from the territory of Benjamin they were given Gibeon, Geba, Alemeth, and Anathoth, each with its pasturelands. So thirteen towns were given to the descendants of Aaron.

As I have learned that to serve means WORK and to work for His kingdom is an honor and a privilege. You begin to realize and see that God is a provider and that He already has everything you need that will sustain you to be able to work.

  11. The Levites did not work outside the temple. Because of their inability to earn and trade for their needs like the rest of the people, tribe gave a piece of their country to the Levites. This is very similar in part as to what we did last night. Pastor – alone – does not have the financial ability to par for the new building. It is up to each of us to do our part in providing resources to the furthering of the ministry of POFW. We know that God will supply our needs if we put His Kingdom first.

  12. 31 David assigned the following men to lead the music at the house of the Lord after the Ark was placed there.
32 They ministered with music at the Tabernacle until Solomon built the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. They carried out their work, following all the regulations handed down to them. (NLT)

Lord bless the music ministry! Help us to obediently and humbly serve You with our whole hearts.

  13. 32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

Hallelujah Jesus….sing unto the Lord. Jesus is the reason why we sing praises to Him. Reading this verse made me think back of the time we went to the property during service and had the choir singing a song. We were singing while we were waiting the the house of the Lord to be built. I rejoice because I know that the building is where so many lives are being birthed into His kingdom and a birth of so many Hispanics leaving everything to follow Jesus. I am so grateful to be part of one of the most fastest growing church. To some people it might seem that we exaggerate in working so hard for the church, but I have my eyes set on Jesus. A VISION that He has allowed me to be a part of that can only explode and grow His kingdom. Let’s not forget about our dreams..dreams that one day the Lord will let us see in Jesus Name.

  14. iLove to Grow in the Word
1 Chronicles 6:31-32 NLT (31) David assigned the following men to lead the music at the house of the LORD after the Ark was placed there. (32) They ministered with music at the Tabernacle until Solomon built the Temple of the LORD in Jerusalem. They carried out their work, following all the regulations handed down to them.

Back in the days before Jesus was born, in order to be a music minister at the house of the Lord you had to be a descendant from the tribe of Levi. The Levites were the priesthood.

1 Peter 2:9 NLT But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for He called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light.

This is the reason in the New Testament Church in order to be on the Worship team, one must first be born of the Water and Spirit. Praise the Lord!

  15. 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.
32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

    Hallelujah!!

  16. 2 Chronicles 6:31 These are the men David put in charge of the music in the house of the Lord after the ark came to rest there. They ministered with music before the tabernacle the tent of meeting until Solomon built the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. They performed their duties according to the regulations laid down for them.

I praise God that we have musicians that prayed before they lead us in worship in every service.

  17. 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.

32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

The role of a praise singer and worship leader is not to be taken lightly. There is much responsibility placed upon our shoulders. If we don’t take people into the holy of holies, they may never have their needs met.

  18. 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.

32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

  19. 48 Their brethren also the Levites were appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

49 But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

  20. 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.
32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

Scriptures tells us singing is ministering. My Bible sends me to PS 134 which is a Song Ascent or Song of Degrees for the word ‘waiting’ in vs 32.

Researching this further some scholars think that there 15 particular songs (Psalms) they sang at the dedication of Solomon’s Temple and also sang as the priests walked up the 15 steps of the Temple to minister, and might also be the songs they sang on the road to Jerusalem as they traveled there for the 3 pilgrim festivals found in Deut 16:16: the feast of unleavened bread, the feast of weeks (Pentecost) and the feast of tabernacles.

I said all this to say that music is an integral part of worship to the King of Kings and is not to be taken lightly. It ushers in the presence of the Lord and to minister in song takes prayer, practice and anointing. We are blessed at POFW to have an anointed Music Ministry that accomplishes these things.

  21. David assigned the following men to lead the music at the house of the Lord after the Ark was placed there. They ministered with music at the Tabernacle until Solomon built the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. They carried out their work, following all the regulations handed down to them.
    1 Chronicles 6:31‭-‬32 NLT

What joy it’s to see how music minister to People to me it’s a way cry out to the lord.
It away of expression what’s in your heart that u can’t do with word

Let us find a good musician to play the harp whenever the tormenting spirit troubles you. He will play soothing music, and you will soon be well again.”
    1 Samuel 16:16 NLT

  22. 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.

32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

49 But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

    Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Every single one of us has been given a gift and every single one of us should serve our God and church family to the best of our abilities what ever that may be and we should do it all to the Glory and Hinor of our Lord Jesus Christ!!! For He is Worthy!!

  23. 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.

32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

  24. 48 Their brethren also the Levites were appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

There is room for everyone to take a role in the kingdom of God, we must do our part!!

  25. 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.

32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

God gives especial anointings and gifts to utilize in His kigdom. We should take care of what God has given you and the call to worship Him. There are many that run out with what God has given them and try and make a name for themselves. Remeber it says they waited on their office according to their order. The Lord is the one that gets the glory. As worshipers apointed to the ministry one should keep their spirits and heart in check lest we look at how awesome we sound singing or playing and look how much we shine and allow that ugly pride to creep in just like it did with satan. We should always remember that if we are shining its only the reflection of His Glory, Jesus, bouncing off His Spirit in us for we are but just clay from dirt. To God and Him alone be all the glory! I bless you Jesus!

  26. 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.
32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

Praise and worship is what sparks the match to the fire. With or without music, our worship should always be given with the best of our ability to God! If your friend and family don’t worship, don’t allow that to stop you. Whether mom or dad or your best friend may not worship … You give your best praise! I pray that God will bless my generation with young people that have a burning desire within them to be ice breakers so that together in unity we could give God our BEST praise!

  27. 1 Chronicles 6:49 (NLT)
    Aaron’s Descendants
49 Only Aaron and his descendants served as priests. They presented the offerings on the altar of burnt offering and the altar of incense, and they performed all the other duties related to the Most Holy Place. They made atonement for Israel by doing everything that Moses, the servant of God, had commanded them.

They made atonement by doing everything that Moses the servant of God commanded them.

Servanthood doesn’t only effect the servant but also the people. When we give ourselves to the kingdom it blesses others and opens the door for people to come to salvation.

Being a servant is more than just doing things for others. It is a lifestyle that emanates the character and love of God and draws people to him.

  28. They waited with singing

32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

They were not worried about their positions but they held the first priority strong. They sang while they waited. Imagine if you walked into a hospital and people were singing while they waited on their results. It would defiantly change the atmosphere. Why wait with worried hands. We can wait on the Lord with singing and it will change our atmosphere.

  29. God set apart (Nu 3:12-13; 8:14) the Levite tribe to lead the Israelite in their worship to God. They performed tasks dedicated to God for his purpose. Only the Levites who are descendants of Aaron are designated as priests who may offer sacrifices on behalf of the people (Ex 28:1; 1 Ch 6:49). They are the only line that can come to the Most Holy Place and, atone for the people’s sins. It’s a big responsibility and sacrifice to live a dedicated life until God and that is what we are called to do today as his royal priesthood grafted into the vine.

  30. 9 But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
Help my sacrifice be acceptable to you lord!

  31. 32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

We should come before the Lord with a song in our heart.

  32. “And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.” The word of God (Jesus) stated ‘after’. The ark represented the presence of God, which was not in their possession; however ‘after’ it was recovered. The point being if Jesus (God) is not present, or receiving all the glory then it means very little; therefore ‘after’ God is present, then all things are possible. Dear God, let us (me) be mindful too give you (all) the glory. God Bless America, Israel, Jerusalem, and you all in Jesus name, Amen!

  33. 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.

32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

I seen so many congregations where anyone that knows how to play an instrument or sing, pastors let them get up there to minister to their congratulations with out even knowing their testimony or what kind of lives they live. Someone once told me that what you minister to people is what you have in your heart….. so if your heart is full of sin, what would we give?

That’s why it is important to be Christ like…

I just love how David set aside who was going to be ministering, that’s how it should be in every congratulation. I believe you have to have the capacity and live a life according to Christ

That’s why when I came to this church, the exelense of music and songs catch my heart…. because I believe that they were ministering to what my heart needed at the moment and God refilled me with the holy ghost.
I know God was and is in the mist of worship leaders and the praise team.

  34. “And Jehozadak went into captivity, when the Lord carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.” They had forgotten to put the Lord first, as they were consumed with only self. The Lord’s will shall be done, how it comes to pass in our lives has allot to do with our own actions, or lack thereof. God help us too humbly examine self, in Jesus name.

  35. “Eleazar was the father of Phinehas. Phinehas was the father of Abishua.”
    ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭6:4‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

In our lives we must draw a line, be separate and tear every idol.

“So Moses spoke to Israel’s judges. He said, “Some of your men have joined in worshiping the god Baal that is worshiped at Peor. Each of you must kill the men in your tribe who have done that.” Then a man of Israel brought a woman of Midian to his family. He did it right in front of the eyes of Moses and the whole community of Israel. They were sobbing at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Phinehas was a priest. He was the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron. When Phinehas saw what had happened, he left the people. He took a spear in his hand. He followed the man into a tent. Phinehas stuck the spear through both the man and the woman. Then the Lord stopped the plague against the people of Israel.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭25:5-8‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

  36. 31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.

32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

    NLT
32 ey ministered with music at the Tabernacle until Solomon built the Temple of the LORD in Jerusalem. They carried out their work, following all the regulations handed down to them.

” they carried out their work, following all the regulations handed down to them.” It’s important for us and singers to understand our position in ministry and service. When we are faithful yo carry out the regulations hand down to us we may be placed by God in the position to become greater in our talent and allow the power of the anointing to flow even more through us. We are not entertainment for the people but we are to build a place of worship to entertain or keep the presence of God.

  37. “And these are they that waited with their children. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shemuel,”
    ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In my version, I looked up some words—
It says “and these are they that endured with their children, grandchildren , member of a class, a group…”
They didn’t just say, these are he children thAt live in my house and I don’t care about others. No! They went around with the neighboring children, their grandkids and friends and they waited! (It’s hard to wait with lots of small people. )

  38. 32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

I am reminded of Psalms 66 when I read this scripture.

“Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

5 Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

6 He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

9 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.”

  39. “Their brethren also the Levites were appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God. But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.”
    ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭6:48-49‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Work. Work. Work. Work.

  40. In this scripture, it clearly gives you background information of the family tree sort a speak. It depicts the genealogy and indicates the assigned suburbs. It is apparent that God keeps accurate records of his people. So, don’t ever think God has forgotten you, but you can tell here knows where everyone is and where they came from.

    “Just stay accounted for”………..

  42. Worshippers and singers are given the opportunity to build an atmosphere that is pleasing to God. This is not subject to just the music ministry; we all can be a part of lifting up praise unto Him.

  43. 32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.
How would our worship change if it was our job like it was in the Old Testament?
